I order Keiko meal for my kids and if my kids say "Yummmm" that means a whole world to me, and Yes, they loved it! It comes with a cute bag, apple sauce and apple juice in it for $7.99. Came here with a friend for lunch while her vehicle was getting an oil change at Earnhardt Hyundai. We both got a combo that had teriyaki chicken, white rice, a cabbage salad, crab rangoons, & a large drink. The meal was really good with the exception of the salad. I wasn't very crazy about it but at least I tried it. They have Coke products, which anyone who knows me knows that right there scores big points with me since Coke Zero is my drink of choice. The customer service here is very good. Employees are happy & helpful & take pride in their work. The ambiance is bright & colorful as well as clean & inviting. Regularly order the BBQ and Katsu Mix through the drive thru. On two separate occasions, we were okayed the order, and after a while of waiting, the worker comes up to the window with a bag and what is supposed to be our food, and asks us if it's okay that the non katsu meat were replaced. Since we already ordered it we just went along with it, but found that they removed two meats and replaced them with only one extra set of katsu. Extremely disingenuous when they could've just made sure they had the meats on hand for the BBQ and Katsu Mix in the first place. Not to mention that they raised the price of it recently and fibbed on the contents more than once. Worker with a sleeve on her right arm was honestly just unprofessional. Wasn't very kind. Called out my order and gave it to another guy. She proceeded to try to give me the wrong order and when i told her hey thats not mine im a different number she goes "it's the chicken katsu, do you not want the mac" nope thats why i ordered with no mac. I'm a little concerned that this place is going to slide downhill rapidly. The restaurant has always been pretty iffy on service and ambience. There's items you can't order on the drive through, which is really annoying, and staff have a pretty clear "not my problem" attitude. The lobby is loud boring music, usually sticky, and has uncomfortable seating. The kind of place I prefer to drive through! Not dine in. But now their menu has changed for the worse. Their house dressing and salad was the best thing in the menu. I would buy that dressing in bulk if I could. They don't have that dressing anymore. Now their dressing is some generic salty sweet soy and sesame mixture. And the salad is generic spring mix you can buy at Walmart with sesame seeds. The salad went from great to I would not want to eat it twice. And the island fire chicken went downhill too. Serving size cut in half, and is now mostly Onion not chicken. These are the signs of a place in decline and desperate to increase profit at the expense of quality. Good luck. I'll probably shift my attention to other Hawaiian bbq places now. read more

We ordered food and we were told what we ordered had a 10-15 minutes wait time. That's not a problem as they were upfront about it. My wife was starving so I told the lady we would order crab Rangoon as an appetizer while we wait for our food. We sat down after ordering. Probably the worst Hawaiian BBQ I've ever had. Ordered chicken teriyaki, with chicken breast meat, and all white rice. I asked for vegetables as well, as the meal comes with them. Well, 20 minutes wait to get the food. After I noticed others that ordered after me were receiving their food, with multiple people parties, I went up to the front desk and asked about my order number. They said it still had another 3 minute wait for my chicken breast. Interesting... Finally received my order and the chicken breast looked almost uncooked. It was rubbery and fatty. Maybe I'm just dumb, but I've never had a fatty piece of chicken breast. That's literally why I order chicken breast! It was gross. The food looked and tasted very "rushed". The rice was good. Greeted by two sweet staff members right as I walked in. Served with a smile & great conversations while I waited for my meal. Took it as a "to go" order. There were a few diners inside the restaurant & noticed the drive thru was packed. Had the Island Fire Chicken which is chicken slices marinated in their special blend of spices, then grilled with onions and tossed with their spicy Island Fire Sauce. It was fire LOL. Included with this meal is two generous scoops of white rice a delicious macaroni salad and choice of a side-which I went the Crab Rangoon (3 pcs) Faux crab meat and cream cheese in crispy wonton skins. I went to Ono Hawaiian BBQ recently and had such an uncomfortable experience. The guy working the drive thru was rude and kept calling me "lady" in this really dismissive tone. It was "15 dollars, lady" and "here's your food, lady" the entire time. It felt condescending and honestly inappropriate. Instead of a friendly interaction, I felt talked down to and just... uncomfortable. Definitely not the vibe you expect when you're grabbing food. The gentleman who took my order was very short with me and seemed annoyed by my simple order of "Teriyaki Chicken" extra sauce on side. Pulled up to the window. Gentleman was playing on laptop. Couldn't tell if it was actual work. A girl came to the window and asked if I wanted any sauces, which was great. She handed them to me and walked away. I kept glancing inside, as I was waiting a bit. I made eye contact with the girl, who seemed to be annoyed by it and walked over to the window, which I thought she was bringing my food at the point. She said, "Oh it's not ready yet, pull around and park" very snooty and walked away. Got my food-didn't really smell great. Got home to eat and the food looked disgusting. Didn't look like chicken-looked like something fake. Just didn't look right. No vegetable, except a leaf of cabbage underneath the chicken. It showed broccoli on the picture. Rice was great, and sauce was okay. The "chicken" tasted disgusting and full of fat and who knows what. I should have kept driving. I shouldn't have wasted $14 on this crap. Ugh! It was like good food but I was hard core craving a spam musubi but when I arrived home I was mistakenly given a beef musubi. I tried it and realized wow this is the best mistake ever. Love the taste of the meats the cabbage was soft but still had crunch and the rice was.....well plain white rice nothing ooooh aaaaah about that. The first thing I noticed was good music and the beautiful diversity of the customers. I was warmly greated, and the menu and customer favorites were explained to me. Enjoying variety, I decided on a the #4 Plate. The mix of grilled beef, chicken, and ribs with a side salad was a great way to sample a few things at once. Great choice. I really love Ono! this location is my favorite location because they are fast, I think we wait around 10 minutes in the drive thru each time which is fine for me because the fresh comes out so fresh and hot! There is a ton of parking and the menu is easy to view and easy to read. We always ordered the Hawaiian bbq beef with extra teriyaki and of course the teriyaki chicken. We loveeee the Mac salad, it has a ton of flavor and is the only Mac salad I'll eat. You can't taste the mayo it just has a ton of tasty flavors! We also love the spam masubis, they are huge and super filling. Ona is a little higher is cost, especially because drinks are not included with your meal so it runs around 45 for 2 people, which is pretty pricey for fast food but the portions are big as well! read more

Your employees need a lesson in customer service. I simply requested no rice and all broccoli and was flat out refused to be served that. Being in the service industry and understanding customers is a huge factor to me. I offered to pay willingly and she decided to still refuse and said we cannot do that.. since when can a person not order a side as a substitute for a meal ? I waited in the drive-thru for over 25 minutes, and while my wife was still in the drive-thru, l went inside to use the bathroom and found it to be very dirty, including the glass doors and windows. Although I absolutely LOVED my food yesterday, I found a dead cockroach in my food (it was dug in deep within the cabbage after I had already eaten some). This is the second time I eat at this location in the past week and the first time, I dismissed the two roaches I saw by the teriyaki and katsu sauce because they were little and I just figured maybe they came in from outside - and I love the food. Well, CLEARLY, they have a problem when the food itself has dead roaches. I tried calling multiple times and they don't answer - the machine will tell u to press "0" to speak with someone and then it hangs up on u. This is a new location!!! Deal with ur roach infestation because this is NOT a good look when one person has seen multiple roaches in one week. read more

The staff are super friendly, but the last 6 times we've visited it has taken at least 20-25 minutes to get through the drive thru (even if there is only 1-2 cars) The owner/manager of this restaurant needs to establish an expectation to their staff on how long it should take, train them on how to achieve that goal, and then enforce it because until they fix their store I won't be returning.
