I've been to many Chinese buffets, and Woochi is my favorite. First off, they're quick with seeting and grabbing your drink order so you can get food. They also have a larger variety of food compared to other places I've been, and the dishes are better quality. There's a lunch and dinner menu when it comes to what's available, so if you have a preference make sure you schedule accordingly. I will admit, the ambiance is not as fancy or extravagant as other places, BUT their food quality and variety has been unmatched. It took everything in me to not want to throw up on site. We were in the area around lunchtime and decided to stop in. This place is in a large shopping plaza along with several other restaurants. Upon arrival, the hostes/cashier was not present. A minute later, she came from the dining room and took a takeout order from the guy ahead of us. I would think that unless there is a wait for seating, you should be seated right away instead of waiting for another customer to decide what to order for takeout. Once seated, our drink order was taken immediately. I was impressed with the size of the buffet. There were more varieties of sushi than most other Chinese buffets. The sushi was freshly made and of good quality. The fruit and salad bar was impressive also. I had pasta salad and spicy cucumbers, which were unique to my buffet experience. The baked salmon seemed dry and lacked flavor. The barbecued ribs were dry and tough, like beef jerky. They had a pork filled bun, which was a sreamed bun with a pork filling. The pork filling was sweet and very tasty. Unfortunately, the bun was tough and rubbery. I wanted to eat just the filling. The other items I sampled were comparable to other buffets I've been to. If I do ever stop on for lunch again, I will make it a sushi buffet. read more

Came here with friends on Christmas evening for the buffet. $16.95 a person is not bad. I'm picky with Chinese food and always have been. This place is good, although I stay away from orange chicken due to citrus allergies, & I am NOT a fan of sushi! I did find items I do enjoy, so I was very content with my choices. We had a handsome and amazing waiter. I couldn't help but smile each time he came to check on me. The ONLY complaints I have are that the buffet plates were wet and the silverware looked dingy and dirty to me. read more

Food and atmosphere were pretty atrocious. We should've left upon seeing the food but our kids were starving so we stuck it out. You could barely see out the window by our booth (very unclean), tables looked dirty, fruit flies were flying around as we dined. The food looked like it had been sitting untouched for at least the entire day, all sauced foods had a gelatinous layer on it. I went to try the Mongolian stir fry thinking this would be fresh. The raw meat was a slurry - best way to describe it. All I ate were fried wontons and a Chinese donut and I feel ill. I have no idea what in the world those folks were talking about when they left poor reviews for WooChi. This place is fabulous. Maybe they just don't go out often. No clue. We went to Lin's Buffet the night before. We were very disappointed which was the reason we returned to Woochi. There is absolutely no comparison. Lin's provides plastic utensils and paper plates. Trays are near empty and just not the variety. The seafood (clams, crab, fish, shrimp) is the biggest draw for me. The Mongolian Grill is the biggest draw for my husband. We both agreed the food was delicious and the variety huge. We love this place. read more

The area around the food was clean and they replaced the food often to keep it hot and fresh. Stopped in to WooChi on a Saturday for lunch. When we walked in, it was a little confusing on whether or not we seat ourselves or they seat us. There was a customer waiting at the desk to place a takeout order, and finally, after he was done, we were able to be seated. The buffet here is large with ample selections of your typical Asian cuisine and a large selection of fresh sushi rolls. The food, although average, was hot and pretty good. I got my typical standby at a Chinese buffet: sesame chicken, sweet and sour chicken, crab Rangoon wonton, green beans, and I usually hit up the fruit bar as well. The decor was average, but I did like the lights above the buffet itself. The restaurant is large with ample seating and was clean. The price was about the same as the other Chinese buffet we frequent, and I got a good fortune in my cookie. :) read more

05/10/2021 One of the best things I appreciate about Woochi is their never ending pursuit to tweak their dishes and try to perfect the taste, appearance, and quality. There is certainly nothing wrong with the dishes as they are each time, but they just seem to get better each time through subtle flavor nuances, a new ingredient or a more robust taste. As always on a buffet, when you arrive into it is going to determine the freshness of dishes which may not have a huge fan base. If a dish is extremely popular it is refreshed often. Dishes which aren't as popular might not necessarily be at their peak quality. But, when I have mentioned this they had no issue bringing out a brand new tray if the situation dictates it. As with any restaurant how your table service goes varies each time based on the normal situational changes each day. Once in a while I'll need to simply raise my hand to get a drink refresh if they are extremely busy, no big deal to me. The variety of the food is great. The Mongolian grill is always fresh and fast. I am going to miss coming here as we are moving back east. Excited also since I can much more easily get N.Y. style Chinese dishes, which has been hard to come by out here in Phoenix. Sushi, salad bar and deserts stations in addition to a build your own grill/bowl. The WooChi is in a shopping center north of Baseline on Signal Butte. The service was friendly and efficient and an average price for buffet. The restaurant was clean inside and out. This restaurant is at a nice mall; so I thought I'd try it out. It sounded fun with the seafood buffet. When I walked in I looked around and then a very thick, musty stench hit my nostrils. It kept getting worse kind of a combination of body odor and rotten egg smells. It must be really bad because I have a very poor sense of smell.
