Just there last week nothing's changed. Food is still the same. The only thing that has changed is the price they've increased it pretty much charging you more money now for the same food that's always been on their buffet. The one thing I don't like is that if you get your food to go you don't have the opportunity to fill the container. They fill it for you and you're limited on the meat which I think is ridiculous because you're paying the same prices if you were sitting down eating. read more

This local favorite been around for 50 years, and there is a reason for that. Its good, really good. Consistent quality at a fair price will keep a restaurant in business indefinitely. The menu is limited here, the buffet quite short. No dessert items. Don't let that put you off, what's there is great quality and very tasty. I have been thinking about this place a lot lately. I grew up in Mesa and we all ate there Friday nights when we were out and about. That was a long time ago, because I'm old, ha ha ha. But it was always a really good price, a great value, and delicious. That was 30 years ago and it hasn't changed. Still a good price, a great value because they really load you up, and delicious! I mean REALLY delicious. I can't wait to go back. Next time I'll go with my older brother, Ed. He and I are foodies and meet up for great food often. Go there. It's great. Autumn Moon...the OG buffet of Mesa that's been around for as long as you could remember. Probably the same tables & decor that's been here since opening too, as it's quite a bit dated. A very small & simple buffet consisting of 13 items to choose from, including fried rice, egg foo young & my personal favorite- sweet & sour pork. Lunch time dine in pricing is $12.50 per adult plus drink. I feel it's a little high for the limited items they have to offer. Other protein options include lemon chicken, orange chicken, salt & pepper chicken, beef w/broccoli & more. When ordering for take out, keep in mind you are only limited to ONE protein option, however they do load the box up pretty good! Everything was really great, from the food to the service. They checked on us frequently and refilled drinks as needed. Inside was clean as well. I've been coming here since I was in diapers, and I will continue to dine here for years to come. Having come to this restaurant, and another where some of the employees worked previously, for years, they are among the kindest people you will meet. They are welcoming and get to know their customers. The food is autentic Cantonese American food inspired by Cantonese and Hong Kong Chinese cuisine. The prices are reasonable and you will rarely if ever find a more affordable location for the quality of Cantonese Chinese food. read more

Hello wanted to come on here to let you all know do not I repeat do not eat at AUTUMN MOON on County Club and Main st. I went by today to get a quick easy dinner and left with nothing and will NEVER RETURN. The employee who was helping me started serving my food without washing her hands or putting on gloves before I could say to her you need to wash your hands she proceeds to start plating the food I then start to tell her about washing her hands and putting gloves on she sneezed trying to make it to the cuff of her arm and sneezed all over the tongs and the food. I then said I will not be taking any food and I just wanted a refund. The employee started yelling and another employee came out from the kitchen grab the plate and started putting more food on the sneeze plate without washing her hands or getting gloves and told me that the other employee didn't sneeze on the food she sneezed in the cuff of her arm. I'm sorry the spit landed all over but the cuff of her arm YUCK I received my refund and gave them a piece of my mind. AUTUMN MOON IS DISGUSTING and so are the employees can you imagine what they did in front of me and said that they didn't think anything they did was wrong what they do behind those kitchen doors I don't want to even imagine... so if you want a plate full of spit and regret go to AUTUMN MOON HAPPY FLU SEASON read more

More like random dishes soaking in liquid, and the "egg foo yong" was a brick soaking in some liquid... Service was non-existent and the ambience was easily 1955 dive, not in a good or ironic way... Worst restaurant experience ever. My first and last time at the autumn moon. Ate there for lunch, and should've known better. The food I was eating tasted questionable. I had deep regret that I finished my meal. Within 24 hours, and for the following three days, I was deathly ill. For some reason, this experience left my liver enzymes completely out of line for well over a month. My doctor initially thought that I had foodborne hepatitis. I had to have blood work done multiple times before we had a normal test. I give autumn moon all the credit. Never again! read more

I have been coming to this establishment since I was little. Every once in a while, I will crave it, but the last few times I have been it has been less than great. the time before last I actually got food poisoning but I'd eaten at another establishment so I couldn't tell you if it was this place or not. The last time I I bought food from here it was less than fresh. It's better to go around lunchtime. That way the food is fresh. I will continue to stop by every once in a while. read more

This is an old school style Chinese buffet. The buffet with a glass of water was $7.00 exact. Arrived about 11:35 am The buffet is very small with a total of 12 items. I am not sure if the items rotate daily or not. On the Tuesday I visited they were offering: Fried rice, Beef with vegetables, Chicken chow mein, Egg Foo young, Egg roll, Lemon chicken (sauce optional, think breaded sweet and sour chicken pieces), Pepper steak, Orange chicken, Sesame chicken, Kung Pao chicken, Sweet and Sour pork, Fried wonton. Overall I felt all the breaded items were overcooked, including the eggroll. The breading on all of them were very hard. The orange chicken sauce was extremely sweet, the sauce had moistened the breading somewhat. The Kung Pao chicken had a bit of spice to it and was average. Chicken chow mein was fairly bland. Sweet and sour pork was decent. The eggroll was hard to eat because it was so overcooked. I waited for a fresh batch but those were overcooked as well. I felt that all dishes were either extremely on the salty side (I rarely find anything salty tasting) or the very sweet side. It was worth the one time visit, but not to my personal style. Price wise, it is very low for a buffet. The waitress was extremely attentive and refilled my water several times. read more

Been going here since the late 80's when I moved to Mesa for college. Was a weekly stop then but as an older adult several times a year. Never was gourmet Chinese but love the sweet and sour pork, good egg rolls, an tasty lo mein, all at a decent price. Went last night for first time since Covid hit. Prices are jacked. Paid $25 for wife and I, can go to buffet with much bigger selection including sushi rolls for $30. Not only that lo mein was like a pan of over cooked spaghetti, no veggies, no flavor. Beef and broccoli was just broccoli, searched the pan for a piece of meat to scoop. Sad to say last night was my last visit. At that price and the decrease in quality just not worth it. read more

This place WAS a great Chinese Buffet...20 years ago, yet sadly now it is a shell of what it once was. The food was cold and tables were not clean nor the chairs.
