    XO House Lo Mein

The food was amazing, as always, and the restaurant was clean and well-maintained. However, the cashier was loudly arguing on the phone for the entire time I was eating, which made for an unpleasant dining experience. Other than that, everything was great. Unfortunately, because of the disruption, this will probably be my last time coming here during my lunch break.

    Extremely undercooked, rubbery eggplant. Blech.

EVERYTHJNG TASTES FUNNY OR IS OLD. We spent $80 on two entrees, crab Rangoons, and won ton soup. The wonton soup was cold and so old that the meat tasted rancid and the noodles were completely disintegrating in the broth, which tasted like pure soy sauce. My eggplant and beef in garlic sauce was an absolute horror show. The eggplant was so undercooked it was not chewable, and the beef again tasted old. Overly garlicky sauce which left my entire mouth coated with that jarred garlic sticky feel. The chicken teriyaki tasted re-cooked and had an odd clove like back flavor. Also had a ton of odd veggies (almost raw, btw) that had that clingy spice on them as well. Crab Rangoons were okay, but nothing special. Edible, which was a refreshing change from the rest of the order. I got lo mein on the side and it was bland and yet oddly sticky. My husband had fried rice on the side and once mixed in with his weird teriyaki was okay. The crispy noodles were anemic - almost white- and didn't go in the soup no one ate. Terrible, terrible waste of money!

Delicious Chinese food! Cute place too. Highly recommend. Fast casual (you walk up, order at the counter and they bring it to you).

Needed a dumpling fix so I came to my go to place!! The steamed meat ones are my favorite. I also got some chicken lo mein. Never disappoints!! Service is always quick!

Lunch Special Sechzuan Beef with Pork Fried rice and an empty cup of delicious Hot & Sour soup.

First visit today after what seemed like an exhaustive search battle between Google & Yelp for Chinese food... So, we found ourselves arriving a bit before 3pm, that's important as you can get lunch specials until 3pm. I opted for the Szechuan beef, Pork fried rice and cup of Hot & Sour soup. My friend got the Veggie Lo Mein. We were both impressed with the variety, quantity and doneness of the veggies. I enjoyed the Hot & Sour soup which is generally my gauge for Chinese food. It's a small place with I think a capacity of only ~26 but the seats were comfy and take-out is always an option as well as Door Dash. We took a menu on the way out and a nice little snack to boot. Give them a try.

Ordered takeout here one night. My Kitchen is located in the new-ish Fry's shopping center. Plenty of parking available. The space and the staff were welcoming. There's ample seating. I ordered a shrimp dish for myself and my husband ordered Mongolian beef. We also ordered spicy edamame. Service was quick. We couldn't wait to get home and devour our dinner. However, when we took the contents out of the bag, we realized they had forgotten the rice that comes with the entrees. Not a single rice container. Unfortunately, we didn't have any rice at home and My Kitchen doesn't deliver so there was no point in calling them. We also didn't want to drive back out just to pick up rice. Partly our fault for not checking the contents of the bag before leaving the restaurant. Disappointed, we ate the entrees without rice. Though they were flavorful, it just wasn't the same. We would definitely give them another try, but will make sure to check our orders before leaving.

This was a great meal! We picked a really good place to have takeout from tonight. I've never heard of My Kitchen before but found it on Yelp when I was looking for restaurants in Gilbert. The reviews were very encouraging. We ordered Mongolian beef, Chicken with Eggplant in Garlic Sauce, Vegetable Lo Mein, vegetable fried rice, crab rangoons and vegetable spring rolls. We asked for everything to be mild. After trying all the dishes, this might be our new favorite Chinese restaurant! The food tasted cleaner than any other place we have tried so far. It was fresh, delicious and had so much flavor. We loved the chicken with eggplant. I love eggplant so much and they used purple eggplant (a lot of it in the dish actually which made me very happy). Mild was perfect. The food had a kick without being too spicy. Portion size was also pretty big so we had leftovers for the next day. Prices are average. We paid $59 for everything before tip. This is great because we got two dinners out of this order!

Food was decent but the lady behind the counter was extremely rude. She was upset that we asked questions and seemed to be bothered we were interrupting her social media time. She was on her cell phone any oppurtunity she could be. Completely rude for customer service job. My family was treated like we were bothering her. Will never go back truly a bad experience. Wouldn't recommend based on service alone. Hope ownership recognizes the opportunity.

    Egg rolls, delicious!

Another hot and soup review! This place has a great look and feel. Super clean inside and the tables and chairs comfortable and trendy! Great service too The hot and sour soup was flavorful,I liked the amount of soy sauce in it, it didn't seem to have as much of the tofu and other ingredients I am used to.i also got an egg roll, it was great, hot and fresh with the perfect amount of crispness. I will be back to check out their entrees.

Unfortunately, I was really disappointed :( To start, this restaurant is located in a large shopping center, so there is plenty of parking. We came as a party of 4 on a Saturday during lunch and were seated immediately. We sent our orders to the kitchen ourselves with a tablet, which is nice because you don't have to wait for the server each time you want to order more food. Unfortunately, when we received our first round of orders, more than half the dishes were cold, almost as if they've been sitting out for awhile. Even our egg drop soup wasn't warm, which was super disappointing. After we placed our second round of orders, I respectfully asked the server if they could make sure the food comes out warm this time since the first round was so cold. She was apologetic and agreed to let the kitchen know. Our second round was much better. The food was warm, but the first round of food made such a bad impression, I kinda already lost my appetite. Also, the server informed us that they charge an extra fee for any leftover food, even if it's just ONE dumpling. I found this rule to be pretty outrageous to charge an extra fee for just one uneaten dumpling. It's sad to say I will not be coming back here again. After seeing this place all over social media, I was so excited to try it. But unfortunately, I was disappointed. If you are thinking about trying this place, maybe don't do the AYCE option.

At first, it came across as a little rude, but I honestly think it was more of a language barrier than anything intentional. There were six of us, and we all ordered the family meal, which includes soup, a giant egg roll, fried shrimp, and your choice of entrée. The waitress kept asking if we were all sure we wanted the family meal, and we couldn't understand why she seemed so hesitant. Once the food arrived, it all made sense- the portions are HUGE. Each entrée easily could have been shared, so we definitely overordered. That said, leftovers are never a bad thing! The food came out incredibly fast, piping hot, fresh, and everything we tried was good. The only downside was that the entire experience felt rushed. We barely had time to enjoy our meal before plates were being cleared and the card reader was already at the table. I planned to place my order online and did not see the garlic chicken, just garlic shrimp. I was super disappointed. My daughter told me to just order whatever and I knew she had never had moo shu chicken and this is a dish I love so I decided to go with that. Needless to say, this restaurants moo shu chicken was not like any other moo shu I have ever had. I mean the crepe and plum sauce was the same but the chicken and veggies were different and not in a good way. The flavor was mild and the plum sauce that was spread on the crepe saved this dish. What was disappointing was they gave us one small condiment cup of plum sauce and it wasn't even filled to the top. It was enough for two crepes and we had 6 crepes and chicken and veggies to fill all the crepes. If the plum sauce was what saved this dish imagine my disappointment in not having enough plum sauce for the remaining crepes. They definitely need to give a larger portion of plum sauce. I have turned my daughter on to egg drop soup and she loves it from our usual Chinese restaurant so she wanted to try it here. This egg drop had corn and tofu (we think, but not sure) in it. It was very bland. She had to add soy sauce to it to spruce up the flavor. We always order wonton chips for egg drop soup and did this time too. Their wonton chips were bland as well. Lastly, we ordered crab puffs and the same wonton shells were used for the crab puffs. Just another item that was bland. If I could get the garlic chicken I would try this place again but since I can't I don't foresee us ordering from here again. We will drive a few miles down the street to get our favorite place.
