I was looking for some quick Indian food and saw this place on Yelp. It was empty when I arrived, but it was a bit early for lunch on a Saturday. While I was there, it started to fill up and there were quite a few food delivery service drivers picking up orders. That's a good sign. I imagine this food is well suited for takeout. The place is on the small side but clean and well-lit. I ordered a bowl with rice and naan at the counter and pulled a rose lassi from the case. I had paneer with spinach masala and a side of Shack Naan (topped with garlic, cilantro and cheese!!!). My food arrived quickly and was hot (temperature). No complaints. The paneer was firm and the masala had a good texture and depth of flavor. The house spice level wasn't really spicy at all for this dish, but I wanted a baseline. Some Indian places start on the high end and only get painful from there. That's not the case here; I'll definitely go Hot next time. My food disappeared nearly as fast as it showed up... It was delicious and a nice portion size (no leftovers, which is abnormal for me LOL). For me the medium was somewhat hot, and I can normally handle spice fairly well. Coming from the Bay Area with years of Indian food experience across Northern California and the East Valley, I can genuinely appreciate what they're doing here -- and they're doing a lot right. The flavors are there, the customer service is great, and the selection is impressive. The Indian style fusion pizza is absolutely amazing and unlike anything else you'll find around here, and the fries are incredible too. On top of that, they're open the latest of any Indian spot in the area, which makes them the perfect go-to for quality late night food when you don't want to settle for a drive-through. The one thing holding them back from a five star rating is inconsistency. Some dishes can come out a little watery, and the texture of the food isn't always on point from visit to visit. For the price point -- which runs a little high for what it is -- you'd hope for more consistency across the board. Solid quick-bite spot! The first thing I noticed when I I walked in was how amazing it smelled -- you immediately know you are about to have something flavorful. The space was small, but very clean, and I loved the cute patio area for outdoor seating. Drink options were a little limited, and it wasn't quite top notch Indian food, HOWEVER, a great option considering it is quick and has great lunch options. Today I had the butter chicken and samosas. The serving size was more than enough, and the spice was just right. Next time I'll consider adding a little more spice for added heat. What a pleasant find! One of my coworkers brought in her leftovers from here and of course I had to ask who, what, where, and please give me a bite! So I took the family here for lunch on Sunday. I got Butter chicken and it comes with rice. I got mine mild but next time I'll try medium to see if I can hang? Husband got Tikka Masala hot and he loved it and didn't want to share. In the area with my husband while the kids played pickleball nearby, we happened upon Tikka Shack on a recent Monday evening... As others have shared, the space is inviting, colorful and clean. There's plenty of seating indoors and out. It's a fast casual concept, so we went up to the counter and grabbed a menu to peruse before ordering. We went with a chicken tikka masala bowl and a chicken biryani bowl as well as some naan to share. This was plenty for the two of us. Prices are fair for the portion sizes, staff was friendly, service was pretty fast, and the food was good too! We walked out full. For just $11.95 each, I got not one but TWO different curries (original and southern, because I'm not here to play) and a drink. That's not a meal, that's a full-on edible celebration. The original curry was smooth, rich, a little smoky. The southern curry was spicier, tangier, like it came to crash the party and ended up being the life of it. Together? Dynamic duo status. Batman and Batman. Get the Vegetable cutlets. Three handmade, seasoned, golden, crispy potato patties made with paneer, green peas, carrots, and cilantro; served with tamarind and mint chutney for $6.75. Perfect crunch. 10/10 would betray a salad for them. Then came the Tikka pizza ($9.85), and listen, if India and Italy had a baby raised on spice and good vibes, this would be it. While not the most cheesy or saucy, it was good. I can admit that I won't be reordering this though. I feel like there's some other places around town that makes a better Tikka pizza. Tikka Shack has a few locations throughout the valley and delivers solid Indian food. The menu has so many choices like I said but I just wanted to with the standard Indian food dishes. I went with the Southern curry which sounded interesting to have a little extra spice and a little more coconutty flavor to it. It definitely was a bit Spicer than I thought but was great with shrimp and the rice. The portion was a bit smaller than I thought, but it still filling and delicious. I did get a Samosa which was perfectly crispy on the outside and the delicious veggies on the inside. My second time here! When you're craving Indian but don't want to wait that long for a full sit down restaurant type of place this place is the place to go! They are pretty quick on bringing out your food. Place is clean with some seatings inside and outside. I've tried a couple of things on their menu but my go too is always the chicken kebab plate and chicken Marsala! Portions are good but I do wish they can add just a bit more chicken in the chicken Marsala. They give you so much rice I never finish all the rice and always have plenty to take home. Came here on Friday 01/03/25. We ordered Biryani chicken and chicken curry. We also came at 09:15 Pm and they close at 10 pm based on their sign. The cashier that night was this mean younger girl. As soon as we were ordering, she says, we're closing in half an hour basically telling us that we can't sit there and eat. We had second thoughts eating there because of that comment so my husband went back to ask if we could do take out and she gives us this dirty stare. Food is not good at all and would say it's not edible. Bland, spices are not cooked all the way through. A boiled egg was placed on top of the biryani and it was cold. So strange. Noticed a bit of confusion with server but just went with the flow. Note to self...two skewers means two skewers of the same protein. Ended up with two lamb kabobs, two spicy chicken kabobs on rice. I haven't dined in yet but placing an order to-go is simple enough at the counter. Food is ready pretty quickly. The first time I had gotten chicken tikka masala and two kabobs - chicken tikka & paneer tikka. The second I tried out the paneer butter masala. All the entrees are served with rice, naan is available for an extra cost. Curries weren't really very flavorful, unfortunately, and the skewers were also just okay. Given the lower price point, I suppose it might be to be expected. I've eaten at the Tikka Shack in Desert Ridge and thought it might have been a bit better. Came here for date night, everyone was raving about this place and how it compares to other OG places around town. We ordered the chicken Tikka masala and the buttered chicken masala as well as garlic naan and mango Lassi. My spouses tikka masala came out nice and hot and it grew on him while he ate it more and more, but he said it wasn't his favorite. My butter masala came out room temp at best, so that was a bit off putting for me. Then went to open the aluminum foil to get my Garlic naan out but I didn't see any garlic anywhere. I went up to ask the cashier if I got the wrong order and he said well did you look at the second bottom one, yes . But didn't see garlic still , so he comes over to the table and has me lift up the bottom one and flipped it over and tah day, there was garlic. I felt dumb lol but at the same time why was it at the bottom, facing the aluminum and no garlic anywhere else. User error on my part I guess. Not sure if they weigh out the chicken, but in weight wise my spouse definitely got more chicken than myself. Guess they just knew he needed more protein than myself lol. We were greeted right away and the guy was helpful with any questions or recs we asked for. If you are feeling introverted or there is a line, there is also a self order kiosk to the left. I went into the Tikka Shack for the first time. I've always been a fan of Indian food - rich sauces, bold spices and layered flavors. Unfortunately, the dishes here had a toned down feel. Nothing special about it, no seasoning. I asked for regular chicken and not spicy and all my chicken was spicy except the one on the skewer. For the first time, the food lacked spices, lacked flavor. It was quite bland. I also got the 2 PC samosas. The green sauce that came with it was pretty good. The samosas were my favorite. The gentleman at the counter was nice though. And he brought my food to me in a to-go bag. They were very nice at the location. Quite a bit of people came in and out, so they must enjoy it.
