    Butter Masala

Solid quick-bite spot! The first thing I noticed when I I walked in was how amazing it smelled -- you immediately know you are about to have something flavorful. The space was small, but very clean, and I loved the cute patio area for outdoor seating. Drink options were a little limited, and it wasn't quite top notch Indian food, HOWEVER, a great option considering it is quick and has great lunch options. Today I had the butter chicken and samosas. The serving size was more than enough, and the spice was just right. Next time I'll consider adding a little more spice for added heat. This is a great option for when you are craving Indian flavors but want something quick and convenient.

I know what you're thinking so let me go ahead and say it: Yes, I went to Tikka Shack for a kid's cheese pizza. No regrets... Well maybe slightly but mostly no regrets. It was a good cheese pizza. I'm not sure it's $7.25 good. For that price, do yourself a favor and get something else on their menu. They have a lot of great offerings and you'll be doing yourself a disservice by not getting a curry. No hate. Just nothing to write home about.

What a pleasant find! One of my coworkers brought in her leftovers from here and of course I had to ask who, what, where, and please give me a bite! So I took the family here for lunch on Sunday. I got Butter chicken and it comes with rice. I got mine mild but next time I'll try medium to see if I can hang? Husband got Tikka Masala hot and he loved it and didn't want to share. But I snuck in a bite. We also got the garlic naan bread which was amazingly perfect for scooping up the goodness! Everyone agreed we would totally go back!

In the area with my husband while the kids played pickleball nearby, we happened upon Tikka Shack on a recent Monday evening... As others have shared, the space is inviting, colorful and clean. There's plenty of seating indoors and out. It's a fast casual concept, so we went up to the counter and grabbed a menu to peruse before ordering. We went with a chicken tikka masala bowl and a chicken biryani bowl as well as some naan to share. This was plenty for the two of us. Prices are fair for the portion sizes, staff was friendly, service was pretty fast, and the food was good too! We walked out full. We will likely be back to this or some of their many other locations. It's worth noting that they have delicious looking drinks and free wifi too.

Tikka Tuesday Has Entered the Chaat. Get it? Get it!?! ;D Whoever invented Tikka Tuesday deserves a Nobel Prize in Deliciousness. For just $11.95 each, I got not one but TWO different curries (original and southern, because I'm not here to play) and a drink. That's not a meal, that's a full-on edible celebration. The original curry was smooth, rich, a little smoky. The southern curry was spicier, tangier, like it came to crash the party and ended up being the life of it. Together? Dynamic duo status. Batman and Batman. Get the Vegetable cutlets. Three handmade, seasoned, golden, crispy potato patties made with paneer, green peas, carrots, and cilantro; served with tamarind and mint chutney for $6.75. Perfect crunch. 10/10 would betray a salad for them. Then came the Tikka pizza ($9.85), and listen, if India and Italy had a baby raised on spice and good vibes, this would be it. While not the most cheesy or saucy, it was good. I can admit that I won't be reordering this though. I feel like there's some other places around town that makes a better Tikka pizza. I will recommend that you dip this pizza in your curry for some more flavor and sauce. Verdict: Come hungry. Come brave. And definitely come on a Tuesday.

If you're looking for some delicious Indian food off Power Rd., look no further. Ordering was very quick and easy. The place was quite packed when I came to order some food to go. Very inviting and warm atmosphere. Prices are decent and quality is very good. I had their tikka masala curry bowl with chicken and a side of rice. I love that you're able to customize the spice levels. Although the chicken was a bit dry, the flavors were delicious. My husband ordered the tikka masala wrap and he loved his. His chicken was not dry and he stated he would order it again. I will definitely return and try their other food options.

Tikka Shack has something for everyone from Indian food, fries, wings, salads and pizza. A great place for anyone to enjoy eating there. Tikka Shack has a few locations throughout the valley and delivers solid Indian food. The menu has so many choices like I said but I just wanted to with the standard Indian food dishes. I went with the Southern curry which sounded interesting to have a little extra spice and a little more coconutty flavor to it. It definitely was a bit Spicer than I thought but was great with shrimp and the rice. The portion was a bit smaller than I thought, but it still filling and delicious. I did get a Samosa which was perfectly crispy on the outside and the delicious veggies on the inside. All In all, the Tikka Shack delivers great Indian food and has a lot of varieties for anyone to enjoy. I would recommend this place and will come back

Friendly service with good suggestions. Cute small patio and inside to stay and eat. Garlic naan was incredible and Southern curry with chicken and basmati rice was amazing. House spice is just spicy enough

My second time here! When you're craving Indian but don't want to wait that long for a full sit down restaurant type of place this place is the place to go! They are pretty quick on bringing out your food. Place is clean with some seatings inside and outside. I've tried a couple of things on their menu but my go too is always the chicken kebab plate and chicken Marsala! Portions are good but I do wish they can add just a bit more chicken in the chicken Marsala. They give you so much rice I never finish all the rice and always have plenty to take home. I think it's pretty flavorful for more of a "fast food" Indian spot it's not bad and quality is good. Salad was also fresh!

A great fast casual Indian spot! My husband and I stopped in hoping for a quick dinner during a busy week and it hit the spot! We ordered the chicken 65, 2 piece samosas, garlic naan, and butter masala with chicken. My husband ordered his curry hot and mine was "house" spicy but there wasn't a noticeable difference between the spice level. The flavors of the chicken 65 and butter masala were not quite as similar as other Indian restaurants but were still tasty. The butter masala definitely had some coconut milk which I personally don't prefer the flavor of in my Indian curries. The garlic naan and samosas were more classic and also very good. Overall a great option for lunch or a quick dinner. The price point is fair, the interior is cute, and service was good!

It was pretty busy for lunch on a Sunday. Inside it was a full house but the patio (which has misters and fans) was empty. This is a fast casual restaurant, you order at the counter, take number to a table, then wait for it to be served. I ordered the Original Curry with Chicken. I liked the flavor but the chicken (which was cooked) was room temperature. Everything else, the rice and sauce, were warm/hot. No temperature issues with my wife's Butter Masala with Chicken. We ordered our dishes with mild spice but they came out medium, my nose started running. The Mango Salad helped cool things down. The Coconut Curry Wings tasted good but they were a bit fatty. If come back I'd like to try their pizza and tacos!

Came here on Friday 01/03/25. We ordered Biryani chicken and chicken curry. We also came at 09:15 Pm and they close at 10 pm based on their sign. The cashier that night was this mean younger girl. As soon as we were ordering, she says, we're closing in half an hour basically telling us that we can't sit there and eat. We had second thoughts eating there because of that comment so my husband went back to ask if we could do take out and she gives us this dirty stare. Food is not good at all and would say it's not edible. Bland, spices are not cooked all the way through. A boiled egg was placed on top of the biryani and it was cold. So strange. Please don't waste your money here. Ambiance feels like fast food Indian.

I have had a lot of Indian food, and this is still some of my favorite in Arizona. My go-to order here is usually between the malai kofta, shahi paneer, lamb korma (please try this), and the chicken 65. I find medium spice to be the perfect level of heat. The depth of flavor in their curries are incredible. The shahi paneer in particular is a great example of how precise their process must be. You can genuinely taste the combination of every spice used, and it feels like they used the perfect ratio. There are so many different notes of flavor and not a single one seems to be drowning out the other. The same can even be said about the chicken 65, but the curry is where this really shines. Also they've been really good about their rice, it was the perfect texture the last few times we've been. I can't comment on the service in-restaurant since my girlfriend and I are the kind of people to get takeout and watch a movie, but I will say the carryout ordering process has gotten significantly smoother. Ordering on the phone seems to be the way to go, and I have not had any of my orders messed up. I have had a couple times where I was awkwardly waiting for someone to be ready to help me get my order, but the wait time has generally been WAY better (like literal seconds), and staff are friendlier. Overall I would probably give a 4.5. Due to how good it is, and more importantly, how *consistently* good it's been, we've pretty much gone here every time we want Indian.

We loved the plates and the serving dishes because of the charm we thought they had. Now they use these more American looking serving dishes that are just a huge bummer and look stale. But the reason why we came was because of the flavor, the seasoning was delicious. Now it tastes watered down. Like there is less cumin and a few other spices? Perhaps. Our favorite dish was the gobi Manchurian, we used to come because of how good it used to be. Now even that has lost its flavor. Even the cauliflower that was used today looked sad and watered down. With the prices that have gone up dramatically, the food losing its flavor, and the charm gone from the serving dishes I'm sad to say we won't come back. We were okay paying even double if it was just the same as before. Now you could NOT even pay me to eat here. I want to add that I think their customer service is great, the staff is always friendly, so it has nothing to do with that. Just the changes someone chose to make. My family and I are really sad because we feel like we've lost our favorite restaurant and now we have to find a new place. I hope everyone else enjoys the changes because we do not.

So when I say this place is the best, that means something. After 8 years of exploring Indian restaurants all across the Valley -- Gilbert, Chandler, Mesa -- Flavors of India consistently stands out above the rest. As a vegetarian, bold and complex flavors are everything to me. Without meat, you really need a kitchen that knows how to layer spices and build depth, and this place delivers every single time. The food is fresh, the flavors are rich and satisfying, the customer service is warm and attentive, and the prices are absolutely fair for the quality you're getting. This is my go-to, and it should be yours too. Hands down the best Indian food in the East Valley. I love the ambience. They're very welcoming and always clean.

Just be careful -- the heat builds up slowly, so if you're not used to spicy food, go lower on the scale! The portions were generous, everything was very flavorful, and we all ended up taking leftovers home. What stood out the most was the service. Our server was funny, knowledgeable, and gave fantastic recommendations. There's also plenty of free parking, which is always a plus. The only thing missing for me was that the décor doesn't quite match the authenticity and quality of the food, which deserves a bit more character in the atmosphere.

Yup I'll be back for lunch. Saturday head for Lunch buffet the place is packed and the food was amazing. Nothing from the buffet was bad. After my most recent visit, I don't think I'll be back. We went about an hour after they opened, and the buffet was already in bad shape. The chicken tikka masala tray was practically empty, and we had to fish around just to find a few small pieces of chicken. The rice was hard, like it had been sitting for a long time instead of being freshly made. They also got rid of the carrot dessert that used to be on the buffet (one of my favorites), so even the selection isn't the same anymore. The drinks and desserts were just as disappointing. The mango lassi was chunky and weird instead of smooth and creamy, and the rice pudding was so thin and liquidy it was almost like sweet milk. The only good thing was the naan bread, which was still warm and tasted fine. The staff has completely changed too. The younger guy with the beard and turban who used to be there is gone, and now it's a bunch of older guys who don't seem to know what they're doing. They weren't outright rude, but they seemed confused and not very engaged, and the buffet clearly wasn't being watched or refilled properly. This is not the India Oven I remember. Everything from the food to the staff has changed for the worse, and the overall experience felt sloppy and honestly a little gross compared to what it used to be.

A good meal and you won't feel burping and feeling bloated for the whole day after that meal in an Indian restaurant. If you want finger licking this ain't the place.
