Shack (Cheese) Naan - very tasty
    Christine B.

I was kidnapped as a small child and given to a couple in the Midwest who only fed me bland food. They taught me to fear spice and I grew up to be a very picky eater. Okay, so that's partially true. I married a guy who'll eat everything so he brought me to this great place knowing I would order...the Margherita Naan Pizza. (I can feel your face palm.) It's really good! And you know, good on Tikka Shack for offering something for the picky princesses to try here. If you don't have issues (like me) they had interesting naan pizzas like Paneer Makhani or Tandoori Chicken. Of course they offer curry bowls, biryani rice bowls and naan tacos among other things. My husband also ordered a side called Shack Naan (garlic, cilantro, cheese). It was an addictive snack for sure. Next time we come I'll try a bite of whatever he's eating and slowly try to expand my horizons.

Solid quick-bite spot! The first thing I noticed when I I walked in was how amazing it smelled -- you immediately know you are about to have something flavorful. The space was small, but very clean, and I loved the cute patio area for outdoor seating. Drink options were a little limited, and it wasn't quite top notch Indian food, HOWEVER, a great option considering it is quick and has great lunch options. Today I had the butter chicken and samosas. The serving size was more than enough, and the spice was just right. Next time I'll consider adding a little more spice for added heat. This is a great option for when you are craving Indian flavors but want something quick and convenient.

I know what you're thinking so let me go ahead and say it: Yes, I went to Tikka Shack for a kid's cheese pizza. No regrets... Well maybe slightly but mostly no regrets. It was a good cheese pizza. I'm not sure it's $7.25 good. For that price, do yourself a favor and get something else on their menu. They have a lot of great offerings and you'll be doing yourself a disservice by not getting a curry. No hate. Just nothing to write home about.

The decor is nice and so is the lighting and tables. It's clean and bright. Love that they have organic drinks available. You can speak to a cashier or use a kiosk and seat yourself. Sadly, the food wasn't good. I have a lamb shish kebab skewer which was hardly bigger than my pinky and yet I could barely finish it because it was a sad ground up texture with poor flavor. I had two tacos and both came like they were bombed with cabbage nukes. Why am I eating purple cabbage on Indian food anyway? The taco base is meant to be naan but it's a lot more like a thick overcooked bland and tough pita. The flavor is fine- it's not gross. But it doesn't hit like real Indian food. I regretted every bite. It's not exactly "fast" food either even with the place empty hours from close. I would call it overpriced especially since everything was quite small.

What a pleasant find! One of my coworkers brought in her leftovers from here and of course I had to ask who, what, where, and please give me a bite! So I took the family here for lunch on Sunday. I got Butter chicken and it comes with rice. I got mine mild but next time I'll try medium to see if I can hang? Husband got Tikka Masala hot and he loved it and didn't want to share. But I snuck in a bite. We also got the garlic naan bread which was amazingly perfect for scooping up the goodness! Everyone agreed we would totally go back!

In the area with my husband while the kids played pickleball nearby, we happened upon Tikka Shack on a recent Monday evening... As others have shared, the space is inviting, colorful and clean. There's plenty of seating indoors and out. It's a fast casual concept, so we went up to the counter and grabbed a menu to peruse before ordering. We went with a chicken tikka masala bowl and a chicken biryani bowl as well as some naan to share. This was plenty for the two of us. Prices are fair for the portion sizes, staff was friendly, service was pretty fast, and the food was good too! We walked out full. We will likely be back to this or some of their many other locations. It's worth noting that they have delicious looking drinks and free wifi too.

Tikka Tuesday Has Entered the Chaat. Get it? Get it!?! ;D Whoever invented Tikka Tuesday deserves a Nobel Prize in Deliciousness. For just $11.95 each, I got not one but TWO different curries (original and southern, because I'm not here to play) and a drink. That's not a meal, that's a full-on edible celebration. The original curry was smooth, rich, a little smoky. The southern curry was spicier, tangier, like it came to crash the party and ended up being the life of it. Together? Dynamic duo status. Batman and Batman. Get the Vegetable cutlets. Three handmade, seasoned, golden, crispy potato patties made with paneer, green peas, carrots, and cilantro; served with tamarind and mint chutney for $6.75. Perfect crunch. 10/10 would betray a salad for them. Then came the Tikka pizza ($9.85), and listen, if India and Italy had a baby raised on spice and good vibes, this would be it. While not the most cheesy or saucy, it was good. I can admit that I won't be reordering this though. I feel like there's some other places around town that makes a better Tikka pizza. I will recommend that you dip this pizza in your curry for some more flavor and sauce. Verdict: Come hungry. Come brave. And definitely come on a Tuesday.

If you're looking for some delicious Indian food off Power Rd., look no further. Ordering was very quick and easy. The place was quite packed when I came to order some food to go. Very inviting and warm atmosphere. Prices are decent and quality is very good. I had their tikka masala curry bowl with chicken and a side of rice. I love that you're able to customize the spice levels. Although the chicken was a bit dry, the flavors were delicious. My husband ordered the tikka masala wrap and he loved his. His chicken was not dry and he stated he would order it again. I will definitely return and try their other food options.

Tikka Shack has something for everyone from Indian food, fries, wings, salads and pizza. A great place for anyone to enjoy eating there. Tikka Shack has a few locations throughout the valley and delivers solid Indian food. The menu has so many choices like I said but I just wanted to with the standard Indian food dishes. I went with the Southern curry which sounded interesting to have a little extra spice and a little more coconutty flavor to it. It definitely was a bit Spicer than I thought but was great with shrimp and the rice. The portion was a bit smaller than I thought, but it still filling and delicious. I did get a Samosa which was perfectly crispy on the outside and the delicious veggies on the inside. All In all, the Tikka Shack delivers great Indian food and has a lot of varieties for anyone to enjoy. I would recommend this place and will come back

Friendly service with good suggestions. Cute small patio and inside to stay and eat. Garlic naan was incredible and Southern curry with chicken and basmati rice was amazing. House spice is just spicy enough

My second time here! When you're craving Indian but don't want to wait that long for a full sit down restaurant type of place this place is the place to go! They are pretty quick on bringing out your food. Place is clean with some seatings inside and outside. I've tried a couple of things on their menu but my go too is always the chicken kebab plate and chicken Marsala! Portions are good but I do wish they can add just a bit more chicken in the chicken Marsala. They give you so much rice I never finish all the rice and always have plenty to take home. I think it's pretty flavorful for more of a "fast food" Indian spot it's not bad and quality is good. Salad was also fresh!

The bottom of the bowl had samosa which had a doughy potato like texture, although there were no potatoes. I focused on the top half of the bowl as it was a plentiful dish and I knew it was more than I could handle.. You walk in order your food at the counter and they bring it to your table. The service is excellent and our server, Angelica, was no exception to the many great servers we have met over the years. Her passionate input on our selections was extremely helpful. They have a full bar. On this trip, the $44 steal of a price included 3 courses and a side of rice or naan. We started with the Bhelpuri Avocado which is like a mix of puffed rice and avocado. The contrast of the crispy rice and flavorful and creamy avocado was a server suggestion and I am thrilled she did. The table next to us was also vocally registering their excitement with the dish. My wife went with the Parsi Lamb Keema which is like having the popular street food, Pav Bahji with a fantastically flavorful lamb stew with just the right amount of heat, served with buns like sliders. For the main courses we had the ever popular and best ever Butter Chicken made even more enjoyable with a dip of the Garlic Naan made fresh in house to order. Super tender naan. I went with the other server suggestion of Fish Curry which was an incredible mix of very crisp exterior yet moist interior sea bass swimming in a delicious curry. Never ordered before but again, thank you Angelica. Finally desert was the Gulab Jamon Cheesecake. Unique and very tasty ending to a fantastic meal. Cumin rice was perfectly cooked and the garlic naan is the best version I've had in town- so light, definitely get both. The food was pretty good here, however, I was severely annoyed with the waitress who wasn't really trying to service her customers but wanted to argue for most of the experience here so hence the two stars. Read on to see why I gave a lower rating than I normally would. Since this place is called Tap N Tikka, they had a nice selection of draft beers and I was impressed with their menu, which was on a digital board. The waitress tried to sell me on an Indian brewed beer (for example, Taj) and I just wasnt in the mood for one. Ive been to India several times and have had some of their beers in country. I asked for the Roses by the Stairs Czech Pale Ale and she didnt know if they had it. So I then said, if you dont have Roses by the Stairs, I'll take a Schoner Tag, which is a wheat style Hefeweizen. She then brought me the Schoner Tag, which was a very good beer. Next, we told her we weren't too hungry and mainly wanted to snack on some items and this is where she was being quite annoying. I mentioned the chaat on their menu and thought maybe these would be small bites as these are considered roadside snacks in India, but then she had to tell me oh no they are big portions, so I am like ok... I then saw kati rolls on the menu and thought we could get these and she says oh they are like big burritos, so then I said, well we could cut them in half and share it, but she seemed to think oh they are too big. OK, so after discussing the appetizer menu and couldnt seem to land on much, we now move onto entrees. She then suggests we share a dish, which we were both fine with. She initially suggested Reshmi chicken and said it had a creamy sauce, so we agreed. So, when we finally order the Reshmi chicken, I also asked for a garlic naan to soak up the sauce with and then waitress says oh its not too saucy. So, at this point, I am like whatever lady, can we just order here as you're not being helpful?? Then, she says oh popular dishes here are chicken tikka masala, butter chicken and also bhuna chicken. She said bhuna chicken was her favorite and better than the other two and had a sauce to it, so we finally agreed on this. When the chicken arrived, it came with rice and also we ordered the garlic naan too. The chicken was very good and flavorful, but I doubt it was bhuna chicken as it was a lot more saucy than how bhuna chicken is normally cooked. Bhuna chicken is normally more dry, so I dont know what this waitress is talking about. Garlic naan was so-so and I have had much better elsewhere and for $4.95 a piece, not worth it. I didnt eat much as I was headed to another meal, but did have a bite of chicken for taste and had one piece of naan. We had leftovers and she brought two take away containers. I asked for another container and she wanted to argue about this too. At this point, I just wanted to get out of here. I was like, lady, can you stop arguing with me? The food here was good, but the service was severely ruined by a waitress that didnt know what she was talking about and kept arguing. I thoroughly did not enjoy this experience. And on my receipt, the order was rung up as Butter Chicken and not Bhuna Chicken. With so much competition now (and so hard to earn a dollar and with skyrocketing inflation) and with plenty of other good Indian restaurants around, needles to say, Tap N Tikka, you lost my business and I wont be coming back, thanks to your rude and not knowledgeable waitress.

Just be careful -- the heat builds up slowly, so if you're not used to spicy food, go lower on the scale! The portions were generous, everything was very flavorful, and we all ended up taking leftovers home. What stood out the most was the service. Our server was funny, knowledgeable, and gave fantastic recommendations. There's also plenty of free parking, which is always a plus. The only thing missing for me was that the décor doesn't quite match the authenticity and quality of the food, which deserves a bit more character in the atmosphere.

I couldn't tell if it was much contemporary or not, but it was good. The restaurant filled out pretty quickly, with a lot of local regulars that conversed in the buffet line and remarked about how there wasn't as much in the trace as they would expect.I guess cause we had already had it through. The buffet was a bit limited. I hoped Butter Chicken would be there, but no. The choices were of a good variety, not as flavorful as I would like and not as spicy, which is what I would expect. Once we hit the buffet line service picked up for us to get us drinks and service, which was well managed. Our group plans to be back at some point in time.I'll look to order from the regular menu.

After my most recent visit, I don't think I'll be back. We went about an hour after they opened, and the buffet was already in bad shape. The chicken tikka masala tray was practically empty, and we had to fish around just to find a few small pieces of chicken. The rice was hard, like it had been sitting for a long time instead of being freshly made. They also got rid of the carrot dessert that used to be on the buffet (one of my favorites), so even the selection isn't the same anymore. The drinks and desserts were just as disappointing. The mango lassi was chunky and weird instead of smooth and creamy, and the rice pudding was so thin and liquidy it was almost like sweet milk. The only good thing was the naan bread, which was still warm and tasted fine. The staff has completely changed too. The younger guy with the beard and turban who used to be there is gone, and now it's a bunch of older guys who don't seem to know what they're doing. They weren't outright rude, but they seemed confused and not very engaged, and the buffet clearly wasn't being watched or refilled properly. This is not the India Oven I remember. Everything from the food to the staff has changed for the worse, and the overall experience felt sloppy and honestly a little gross compared to what it used to be.

Love these trays to keep each of my buffet choices/flavors separate. I had 8 different items on this tray when I started.
