You still get that classic wing satisfaction, but with a fun curry twist that stands out from the usual buffalo/lemon pepper/garlic parm lineup in the valley. The wings were flavorful, crispy, and coated in this glossy coconut curry sauce that I could honestly eat on anything Whoever came up with this flavor deserves credit because it's genuinely memorable. My one tiny critique: PLEASE give us more coconut curry sauce or make extra sauce available! The place is on the small side but clean and well-lit. I ordered a bowl with rice and naan at the counter and pulled a rose lassi from the case. I had paneer with spinach masala and a side of Shack Naan (topped with garlic, cilantro and cheese!!!). My food arrived quickly and was hot (temperature). No complaints. The paneer was firm and the masala had a good texture and depth of flavor. The house spice level wasn't really spicy at all for this dish, but I wanted a baseline. Some Indian places start on the high end and only get painful from there. That's not the case here; I'll definitely go Hot next time. My food disappeared nearly as fast as it showed up... It was delicious and a nice portion size (no leftovers, which is abnormal for me LOL). For me the medium was somewhat hot, and I can normally handle spice fairly well. I was kidnapped as a small child and given to a couple in the Midwest who only fed me bland food. They taught me to fear spice and I grew up to be a very picky eater. Okay, so that's partially true. I married a guy who'll eat everything so he brought me to this great place knowing I would order...the Margherita Naan Pizza. (I can feel your face palm.) It's really good! Word cannot describe. We went over the weekend and when you first walk in the heavenly spices and smells fill your nose. The space was small, but very clean, and I loved the cute patio area for outdoor seating. Drink options were a little limited, and it wasn't quite top notch Indian food, HOWEVER, a great option considering it is quick and has great lunch options. The decor is nice and so is the lighting and tables. It's clean and bright. Love that they have organic drinks available. You can speak to a cashier or use a kiosk and seat yourself. Sadly, the food wasn't good. I have a lamb shish kebab skewer which was hardly bigger than my pinky and yet I could barely finish it because it was a sad ground up texture with poor flavor. I had two tacos and both came like they were bombed with cabbage nukes. Why am I eating purple cabbage on Indian food anyway? What a pleasant find! One of my coworkers brought in her leftovers from here and of course I had to ask who, what, where, and please give me a bite! So I took the family here for lunch on Sunday. In the area with my husband while the kids played pickleball nearby, we happened upon Tikka Shack on a recent Monday evening... As others have shared, the space is inviting, colorful and clean. There's plenty of seating indoors and out. It's a fast casual concept, so we went up to the counter and grabbed a menu to peruse before ordering. We went with a chicken tikka masala bowl and a chicken biryani bowl as well as some naan to share. This was plenty for the two of us. Prices are fair for the portion sizes, staff was friendly, service was pretty fast, and the food was good too! We walked out full. For just $11.95 each, I got not one but TWO different curries (original and southern, because I'm not here to play) and a drink. That's not a meal, that's a full-on edible celebration. The original curry was smooth, rich, a little smoky. The southern curry was spicier, tangier, like it came to crash the party and ended up being the life of it. Together? Dynamic duo status. Batman and Batman. Get the Vegetable cutlets. Three handmade, seasoned, golden, crispy potato patties made with paneer, green peas, carrots, and cilantro; served with tamarind and mint chutney for $6.75. Perfect crunch. 10/10 would betray a salad for them. Then came the Tikka pizza ($9.85), and listen, if India and Italy had a baby raised on spice and good vibes, this would be it. While not the most cheesy or saucy, it was good. I can admit that I won't be reordering this though. I feel like there's some other places around town that makes a better Tikka pizza. I will recommend that you dip this pizza in your curry for some more flavor and sauce. Verdict: Come hungry. Come brave. And definitely come on a Tuesday. read more

The one thing holding them back from a five star rating is inconsistency. Some dishes can come out a little watery, and the texture of the food isn't always on point from visit to visit. For the price point -- which runs a little high for what it is -- you'd hope for more consistency across the board. Tikka Shack has a few locations throughout the valley and delivers solid Indian food. The menu has so many choices like I said but I just wanted to with the standard Indian food dishes. I went with the Southern curry which sounded interesting to have a little extra spice and a little more coconutty flavor to it. It definitely was a bit Spicer than I thought but was great with shrimp and the rice. The portion was a bit smaller than I thought, but it still filling and delicious. They are pretty quick on bringing out your food. Place is clean with some seatings inside and outside. I've tried a couple of things on their menu but my go too is always the chicken kebab plate and chicken Marsala! Portions are good but I do wish they can add just a bit more chicken in the chicken Marsala. They give you so much rice I never finish all the rice and always have plenty to take home. Ordered a samosa appetizer and kabob bowl served with rice and mango salad. You get two skewers of a protein and I opted for a lamb and spicy chicken kabob. Noticed a bit of confusion with server but just went with the flow. Note to self...two skewers means two skewers of the same protein. Ended up with two lamb kabobs, two spicy chicken kabobs on rice. The first time I had gotten chicken tikka masala and two kabobs - chicken tikka & paneer tikka. The second I tried out the paneer butter masala. All the entrees are served with rice, naan is available for an extra cost. Curries weren't really very flavorful, unfortunately, and the skewers were also just okay. Given the lower price point, I suppose it might be to be expected. I've eaten at the Tikka Shack in Desert Ridge and thought it might have been a bit better. We ordered the chicken Tikka masala and the buttered chicken masala as well as garlic naan and mango Lassi. My spouses tikka masala came out nice and hot and it grew on him while he ate it more and more, but he said it wasn't his favorite. My butter masala came out room temp at best, so that was a bit off putting for me. Then went to open the aluminum foil to get my Garlic naan out but I didn't see any garlic anywhere. I went up to ask the cashier if I got the wrong order and he said well did you look at the second bottom one, yes . But didn't see garlic still , so he comes over to the table and has me lift up the bottom one and flipped it over and tah day, there was garlic. I felt dumb lol but at the same time why was it at the bottom, facing the aluminum and no garlic anywhere else. User error on my part I guess.
