The staff were kind, welcoming, and very helpful with recommendations on what to order. I ended up getting the Butter Chicken in both mild and medium, and both were amazing and packed with flavor. I also tried the Seekh Kebab, which was incredibly flavorful as well. Of course, I had to get the Garlic Naan to dip into the Butter Chicken -- that combination is unmatched! I've been battling a respiratory infection, but craving Indian food. Ubereats to the rescue to try Guru's Indian Kitchen for the first time! What I Ordered: - Medium Basmati Rice ($3): I ordered as some places don't include rice, and can't go wrong with extra rice. - Plain Naan ($4.50): This was delicious and good portion for the price. - Fountain Drink 20oz ($4.49): A bit pricy for the size, but still perfect for the meal. - Butter Chicken Extra Hot! ($20.50): I'm surprised you only receive one cup size container for that price point, but it was delicious (rice in 1/2 cup container). I ordered the hottest spice level, and I do think it could use more heat. Still delicious though! Overall, I would definitely want to try again but dine in as you likely receive more for the price. Delivery is friendly, and nice through Ubereats but I feel like you pay more for less food product. Plus, I enjoy dining in to get the full aroma of a restaurant when I'm able. read more

First time here and probably 10 years since I went to an Indian Restaurant. I had no clue what to order so tried the Samosa Chaat. Asked the server what is in the dish and picked up garbanzo beans chutney, onion and some other things that were all vegetarian. Later learned it is a very popular Northern Indian Street Food. Large bowl arrived. It was very colorful and first bite was a blast of flavor that was hot and cold, spicy and sweet. It had layers of different flavors. The bottom of the bowl had samosa which had a doughy potato like texture, although there were no potatoes. I focused on the top half of the bowl as it was a plentiful dish and I knew it was more than I could handle.. You walk in order your food at the counter and they bring it to your table. Place has two dining areas and a large bar which was a bit unexpected. Would try this restaurant again put spend a lot more time researching the menu. Guru's Indian Kitchen is some of the best Indian food I have had in all my time in AZ. The menu is extensive and features many traditional dishes as well as popular favorites. I usually keep it basic and order chicken tikka masala because it's one of my favorites dishes hands down and it's SO good at Guru's. Everything we tried was delicious. The butter chicken is more tomato-y than most but had great flavor! The vegetable korma I will definitely be ordering again, but medium was surprisingly spicier than expected. Indian chia tea comes very strong and I was feeling and ice tea so I poored it into an ice cup and it was perfect! Garlic naan was very soft and flavorful. Arrived for lunch during the week. Not busy at all. We ordered and seated ourselves. Great menu items, it had most of the traditional dishes. We shared the butter chicken and lamb vindaloo. Both were great dishes- flavorful and generous protein. The rice and garlic naan were also great. This is probably our go to place for Indian food near our house. The only con I'd give is the cost. It wasn't busy when my wife and I came on a Thursday for lunch. Plenty of parking but that may change as more businesses open. It's a fast casual restaurant, you order at the counter. There's ample seating inside that can accommodate small groups. They have a bar too! It looks like they will have patio seating in the future. I got the lamb vindaloo. We've ordered from gurus since they opened atleast 10 times. Today we sat down and ate at the restaurant for the first time and have to day it's even better when you're there. Butter chicken, chicken tandoori and paneer saag. We usually get the aloo palak instead of the saag and as they're both similar aloo palak wins. Their chicken tandoori is amazing, with great flavor and the sauce really penetrates the meat. Butter chicken is amazing as is lamb biryani. It's a nice restaurant to eat at, clean with nice bar. Outdoor seating looks great for when weather permits. We met the owner tonight and he was a great guy. Great service and hospitality. Family owned, great food, just what we needed around here. Pros: I come here pretty often, every couple weeks. Food is really good. The Lamb Biryani, Chicken Korma, Butter Chicken, and Dal Mahrani are all really tasty. Service is quick. It's a chill set up you order sit down then they bring it to you think smash burger or something of that nature. For how fast the food comes it's incredible the flavor and spice of the food everything was so yummy and the yogurt spice they gave us added heat if we wanted more which was great because she likes a little more heat than us. The guy was super kind he came and checked on us a couple time and was giving nice service! The Chicken 65 was exceptional, easily the best I've ever had. It was perfectly cooked with incredible flavor and balance. The Chicken Tikka Masala was equally outstanding--bold, rich, and deeply flavorful without being overpowering. However, the chicken itself could use some improvement. One piece was chewy, another rubbery, and several tasted slightly freezer-burned with an overly strong chicken flavor. The marinade didn't quite mask that potency, so it didn't blend seamlessly with the sauce like one would expect with this dish. If not for that, I would have given this place a solid five stars. First time in. First, staff was friendly and helpful. I got the lamb tikka masala medium heat. The was tasty and flavorful. The lamb was tender and melted in my mouth. I loved every bite of it. I also got a side af the garlic naan to mop up all the sauce. The wife got the paneer. She said it was spicy but good and loved the veggies that came with it. I was able to get a couple of bites and loved the heat in each bite . I was talking to one of the staff there and he mentioned that the owners also own Guru Palace which is our favorite go to for Indian food.
