Just be careful -- the heat builds up slowly, so if you're not used to spicy food, go lower on the scale! The portions were generous, everything was very flavorful, and we all ended up taking leftovers home. What stood out the most was the service. Our server was funny, knowledgeable, and gave fantastic recommendations. There's also plenty of free parking, which is always a plus. I was reading all the reviews trying to figure out where to try an indian buffet in Mesa, Arizona. I narrowed it down to 3 places and this one was the first place that I tried. They had a decent variety of choices and very similar to the other Indian buffets in the area. The mango desert was incredible! I had 3 bowls. It was so good. I told everyone at my table to try it and they all loved it too. We did the lunch buffet on Saturday. There was 8 in our group, so we tried to make it easy on the staff. We got there just as the doors opened. Obviously plenty of Indian music. I couldn't tell if it was much contemporary or not, but it was good. The restaurant filled out pretty quickly, with a lot of local regulars that conversed in the buffet line and remarked about how there wasn't as much in the trace as they would expect.I guess cause we had already had it through. The buffet was a bit limited. I hoped Butter Chicken would be there, but no. The choices were of a good variety, not as flavorful as I would like and not as spicy, which is what I would expect. Once we hit the buffet line service picked up for us to get us drinks and service, which was well managed. Parm was such a sweetheart! As soon as I walked in, it was hit with a wonderful aroma, I'm not even a huge eater of Indian food, but I was excited to try the lunch buffet. It did not disappoint. The buffet had shredded lettuce and when I let Parm know I don't love shredded lettuce. he brought me regular lettuce from the kitchen. I love tasting all the different flavors, and definitely overloaded my plate so I could get a few bites of everything. The complementary flavored naan options were amazing! I came Wednesday night and asked did they have buffet. Tempe is my home city and their food restaurants are amazing. Various ethnic groups in Tempe provide a foodies dream. Tempe housed my go to Indian buffet on Rural and university for over 20 years and it closed. The other night picking up a marketplace find I passed this restaurant. I live in central Phoenix and pulled up my favorite app on the way home Yelp popped the restaurant in the app great reviews. Long work day Wednesday so stopped for dinner mind blown. Yup I'll be back for lunch. Saturday head for Lunch buffet the place is packed and the food was amazing. Nothing from the buffet was bad. Again if you see the ethnic culture eating there usually a good sign your taste buds are about to get very happy with your choice. My new Indian food spot & yes I drive 20 minutes to get here. Tried India's Flame in Tempe and it was amazing! Everything tasted super fresh and flavorful, not heavy or oily like some other places can be. The spice level was perfect--enough kick to bring out the flavor without being overpowering. You can tell they use quality ingredients. I just moved here and I was very worried I wouldnt find a quality indian food restaurant. It looks like they might offer a buffet, but I didnt get a chance to ask. Instead of apologizing and offering to remake it or make it right somehow like other restaurants/ cuisines in the country, he said there was nothing he could do and said it would be nearly impossible since they "double" cook their meat. I'm sorry, but mistakes do happen. Not the service he provided or the chicken coming out the way it did was right. We ended up at India's Flame during a girls' trip this past weekend, and honestly, it was such a relief after the start we had! We'd actually sought out a different Indian restaurant first, but it looked kind of shady--really dark on the inside and just didn't feel right. I was already feeling perplexed because I'd tried calling them to see if they could do a vegan and gluten-free meal, but their answering machine said they wouldn't even answer over the weekend! I wasn't feeling confident at all. So, we headed over to India's Flame in Tempe instead after seeing they had really good reviews. It wasn't far from our original pick, and I'm so glad we got in the car and went. The atmosphere was night and day--nice, bright, and welcoming. The staff was incredibly helpful and super polite; we didn't even have to worry about running out of water. Our meals arrived right on time and everything was amazing. The Food: * I had the Daal and my friend ordered the Chana Masala. * We were both so happy that we could customize the spice level. My friend likes her food super spicy (it's usually hard for her to find a place that actually makes it hot enough), but they totally hit the spot for her. * Her spice level is way higher than mine so I couldn't even taste hers, but she was delighted! My favorite Indian place and also the very first Indian place I ever ate. It's always clean, never super busy when we come, and the service is always quick and friendly. I recently got diagnosed with a dairy allergy and our server was super accommodating and let me know that most things can have coconut milk instead so I can eat them, and he was clear on what couldn't be changed as well. Indian place not far from my work. I get takeout and have not eaten in the restaurant but have been there for pick up. Decor is rather simple in the restaurant. There does appear to be a buffet, but I have not been there when it's been set. We generally get butter, chicken and Palak paneer as well as aloo gobi. My kids like the garlic naan. Food has been quite tasty at times, but I feel like the butter chicken has been inconsistent in thickness of the sauce, as well as richness. Sometimes it tastes more like cream and is quite thin and other times I feel like the taste is more complex. Service has been variable as the Takeout people forgot some of my food one time. They were prompt with making sure I got to the manager and got a credit. Still I wish that this place had more consistency in their food. We continue to come here despite this. read more

I have to say I never get photos of the food because it's gone in a flash. Everything I have had here is delightful- from the fresh garlic naan with bright green chutney to dip it in to their creamy, savory tikka masala, and their incredibly tender goat curry. The palak paneer looks like baby poop with its dull green color but when you realize it's spinach that has been cooked in spices for over 24 hours in a clay oven and you get that first burst of flavor in your mouth, the looks don't matter anymore. It is exquisite. I went here a couple weeks ago to have lunch with a friend and we were going to order two expensive entrées so we could both try something different. The owner said we would be better off from a price standpoint to get the buffet because both of our items were included on the buffet. I thought it was pretty amazing that he would volunteer that considering he would lose about 10 bucks per entrée on the cost of the buffet versus the cost of the meal itself. Everything was just as fresh and beautiful as if we had ordered a regular entrée. And we got to try 8 to 10 different items instead of just our entrée. I've been coming here for years and it is my go to Indian restaurant. A friend of mine who is actually from India took me there for lunch years ago, and I have never stopped going.
