Very very delicious! Stopped in with some co-workers for the buffet lunch and it did not disappoint. There were many options for anyone's taste buds. From vegetarian to meat eaters. Everything was so flavorful. I really enjoyed the tamarind sauce and vegetable pakora. The waiter was very nice and the inside was well kept. I'd definitely be back! read more

Very clean space and fast service! Went with some friends for their lunch buffet and I think everyone should go to try at least once. It was not too busy when we arrived and there was always fresh chicken and curry coming from the kitchen. The garlic naan was cooked fresh and hot when it arrived at our table and they have a decent amount of options to choose from at the buffet. Definitely revisiting for the lunch again! read more

This has become our go to Indian food. Food is fantastic. We order extra rice with our meals. Always have leftovers. Service is great. The restaurant is always clean. It's not easy finding good Indian food and this place is top of our list. I wanted to include a picture of the menu because some items are missing off DoorDash. I have no idea what took us so long to try India's Flame. Unfortunately I've been very disappointed with a lot of Indian restaurants and have only found one that we truly like, but it's not close to home. Tonight we finally gave it a chance and glad we did! We tried their veggie samosas, vegetable korma, butter chicken and butter naan. I thought everything was delicious, not a single complaint. Even for mild, their dishes still have a kick and I loved it. The butter chicken was creamy and flavorful and the chicken was well trimmed with no chewy/fatty pieces that restaurants can sometimes throw in. The vegetable korma was loaded with veggies and had a sweetness to it, so good. The veggie samosas were big, crisp, and super tasty. Loved the side dipping sauces, maybe a mint and tamarind chutney? Both were delicious. Last the butter naan was simple; piping hot and soft. Definitely coming back, looking forward to it. read more

My fiance and I were craving Indian food one night and ordered India's Flame as take out on a whim. What a pleasant surprise! We got the goat biryani and butter chicken with naan. The butter chick was savory, smooth, and incredibly moist chicken for it being white meat. The biryani was one of the best I've had! The naan was good, but nothing standout compared to others I've had. But the entrees were stellar and this will be a staple for us here in Phoenix now! read more

India's Flame will now be my go-to Indian spot. I'd been recommended here from multiple people and it surely lived up to the hype. Atmosphere was laid back and comfortable. Since I'm basic and seldom branch out trying new Indian dishes, I got the tikka masala and butter chicken. I didn't order the naan, but it looked SO good. Dishes were delicious. Flavorful and fresh. As a previous reviewer noted, the chicken was good and not fatty neither had any bad pieces. Service was great as well. Updating the review to 5 stars for the quality and flavor of the food. One of the best garlic naan amongst Indian restaurants in the area, & the balance of flavors and quality of the ingredients is top notch. Their tandoori chicken is one of the juiciest with the best flavors (great marinade). Service leaves something more to be desired, but, I tried their buffet, so will not ding them for service. I normally go to New India Gate for Indian food, but as I live in Florence and that's on the west side of Phoenix it's a long drive. I stumbled across India's Flame simply by accident and decided to give it a try. I am so glad that I did as the food here is outstanding! The Chicken Tikka Masala was super flavorful as were the Tandoori wings. The Garlic Naan was just to die for, and two helpings of everything later and you could have just about rolled me out the door. The staff were all great, and the prices were super reasonable. It's not a huge restaurant so I might get it to go if it's a Friday night or on the weekend, but cold Indian food is never really cold if it's spiced right. read more

This place is so adorable inside & not what you expect compared to most indian restaurants. We enjoyed our meal complete with butter chicken, garlic naan, rice, sheesh kabab, and lamb chops. This was my first time trying Indian food and I must say, I was pleasantly surprised. I didn't think I'd like it however I'm a fan. I went with co-workers, one of who is from India. We entrusted him to do all the ordering and he did a great job. I tried the following: Samosas, Chicken Tikka, Lamb Boti Kabob, Butter Chicken, Lamb Rogan Josh, Lamb Briyani, Vegetable Briyani, Garlic Naan and Mango Lassi amd Im sure other but cant remember. Yes, all of this and all of it was good. The flavor was great and the heat was great. I'm not into super spicy food and the "medium" was tolerable. BEST BIRYANI IN TOWN!! This is one of my top 3 favorite restaurant in Tempe. I know it might sound like a stretch, but honestly everything I have gotten on their menu is a 10/10. I have ordered from here at least 20 times since October, not even joking.. I come every week to at least get some Biryani. I love the taste of homemade Biryani, and coming here you get that home cooked taste. There are places I will go 2-3 times and don't feel like going back, but this place I can eat any day of the week. The portions are massive too for the price. They do not skimp!! The way they cook the chicken in their biryani is not comparable to anywhere else in town, honestly. It is super juicy and soft, it couldn't be cooked any better! The flavors and spices they use are out of this world. You have to try it! Enough with the Biryani, their Aloo Gobi is 10/10 too. Absolutely perfect. Their mango lassi, amazing. I wish they had bigger sizes because I drink it so fast. The Chicken Tikka Masala is very tasty and some of the best in town. The Chicken Vindaloo is also great. If you're looking for some amazing Indian food, or just some amazing food in general, definitely try this place! Tried this restaurant over my trip to phoenix. They serve buffet during lunch hours. We enjoyed the variety served here. Vegetarian section had 6 curries/vegetables to try from. Non vegetarian section was awesome as well serving different dishes of chicken. We loved the authentic North Indian food served here. Food was just exceptionally delicious. The ambiance was great and restaurant was super clean. As it's located in the plaza hence there are plenty of parking spots. Service was excellent. Highly recommend this place! MUST TRY!! read more

Server came over with his notepad and looked at us to take orders, didn't say a word. When he brought the dishes, a few minutes later, he literally plopped all of them in one spot in the table without making any attempt to remember which dish went to which person. Very odd behavior The dishes on the menu are clearly marked vegetarian, vegan or contains meat. We had two dishes that were supposed to be vegan, one was a saag dish which they had placed butter over the top of. It looked delicious to everyone, but the vegans who could not eat it. When we pointed it out, they made no attempt to offer us another dish and just said oh yes, that's ghee (clarified butter) we said the menu indicated it was vegan, but again no response. The two vegans at our table just decided rather than argue, they will share the rice dish, which was also indicated as vegan. As they started to eat it, they realized there were several pieces of paneer in it. I really hope this was a one off because this was one of my favorite places to eat Indian food. Very very disappointing and no accommodation for the inedible dishes.

We decided to leave and come back another time given the great first experience. The next day, we decided to try again at lunch when the restaurant seems to do most of the business and I called to double check they have the Kara Kuzhambu with eggplant/ okra options just in case and two people seemed to have no idea what I am talking about. I spelled it, explained it's on the menu and it's a tamarind based curry- nothing. The dish I tried here before was very good and I really appreciate that their menu is marked for allergies and different diets. It seems to be very popular among Indian people and a fun cultural experience at weekend brunch/ lunch. However, the service felt really weird and unwelcoming this time and with the dishes listed on the menu but not being available it was a let down. The waiter told us the banana bajji and the lentil dumplings were discontinued completely so it was a bummer they are still listed on the menu. This confusing and unwelcoming exprience led to a big rating difference from me even though I really liked the food I tried in my first visit as well as the atmosphere. Still happy for that super fun first memory here though! My general rating system: 1 star: I would stay away 2 stars: Has some good things about it but I generally don't recommend. 3 stars: Pretty good. I wouldn't go out of my way to go back but a decent place 4 stars: Great place. I would go back. 5 stars: I highly recommend stopping whatever you are doing and making plans to try it out! They were also out of the Melted Cast-Iron Brie Small Plate that we were excited about ordering for the table. We loved this restaurant because of the dark and jungle-themed interior. We were excited to see the bold taxidermy featuring the large cats combined with the ornate, gold- framed dapper animal art hanging on the walls. Another reason to love this spot: hidden inside is an entrance to a secret cocktail lounge, or speakeasy, called "Drop Dead Gorgeous." We also appreciated the entire restaurant centering around a glowing, raw wood-fire cooking pit. We could hear and watch our entrées being prepared. I recently visited India's Flame Restaurant based on a friend's recommendation, and I was overall impressed with the experience. The curry I had was flavorful, rich, and well-seasoned, capturing the essence of traditional Indian spices. However, I do feel that it could have been a bit spicier for my taste. While the heat level was enjoyable, I would have appreciated more of a kick to balance out the flavors. I always try curry first at new places. The server was nice and we didn't have to wait long to get drinks. I opted to skip the rice and naan, focusing solely on the curry, and it was a decent curry. The variety of options on the menu means I'm return and try more. I had a terrible experience at India Flames. The staff was unprofessional and seemed disinterested in providing good service. We waited nearly 30 minutes just to place our order, and when the food finally arrived, it was cold and poorly prepared. The server was rude and dismissive when we asked for assistance. The restaurant was also not well-maintained, with dirty tables and an overall unclean atmosphere. For the prices they charge, I expected much better service and quality. We were having a friend gathering and some in the party had been to India's Flame before but it was my first time. It was pretty crowded, we had to wait about 10 minutes, not bad at all. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, well-lit, and has a nice ambiance. We didn't order a lot of food just a few dishes to share: Samosas, Tandoori Chicken, Palak Paneer, and Goat Curry accommodated to the heat levels we requested. Everything was scrumptious! This time was SO TASTY. I was disappointed in the past couple of visits, but I keep going back like a junky. Now I'm really, really hooked. The butter chicken sauce was way thicker. Prolly a 3.5. It's just another Indian restaurant with same buffet menu. Was here for a lunch buffet on a weekend. They have 4 curries on the menu and an one appetizer (just pakora). Food tasted good though. Just no wow factor in it. I could probably goto any another Indian restaurant and expect more options on the menu. I'm giving ambience a big point. I've tried so many Indian restaurants and this one is one of the best Indian cruises. All of the spices are used in curry to create the best combinations and signature here. I ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala ($19.99) and the Khatti Dal ($10.99) for takeout. First of all, that chicken tikka masala was fire. It was aromatic, fragrant, and the spice level was perfect. The khatti dal on the other hand, it wasn't for me. Not to say it was bad, I just didn't quite care for it. Since it was a takeout order, I can't comment too much about the service but this place is massive. Plenty of seating, lots of parking, and great food. I would definitely order from here again.

Before going, we checked Yelp and were encouraged by its 4.0-star rating. Food Three of us ordered Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Vindaloo, Butter Chicken, and Garlic Naan. Unfortunately, even though we arrived right at opening, they were already out of both of their popular biryanis. The garlic naan was decent but nothing memorable. The Chicken Tikka Masala and Butter Chicken were both flavorful with a nice spice level. The Chicken Vindaloo was another story. While the sauce was good, the chicken itself tasted "off"--not spoiled, but old enough that I chose not to finish it. Cleanliness After our meal, I noticed that the restaurant had received five violations on its most recent county health inspection, conducted about a month ago. While I can't say whether that had anything to do with the chicken, it certainly didn't inspire confidence. The restroom was even more concerning. The sinks and toilets were dirty, both towel dispensers were empty, and the odor suggested it hadn't been cleaned recently. A neglected restroom doesn't leave a good impression about the overall operation. Service On the positive side, the owner/chef was friendly and happy to chat with us. Unfortunately, the rest of the service was disappointing. We spent about 2 1/2 hours there despite being the only dine-in customers, although there were several DoorDash pickups. Our server rarely smiled or engaged with us, spoke so quietly that we often had to ask her to repeat herself, never offered to refill our water glasses, and initially brought a single check after we'd requested two separate checks. She corrected it after we pointed out the mistake. Atmosphere The dining room is attractively decorated and has a pleasant ambiance. Value Prices were reasonable for the portion sizes. The Chicken Tikka Masala and Chicken Vindaloo were each $15.99, and the Garlic Naan was $3.99. Overall Unfortunately, the cleanliness issues, slow and inattentive service, and disappointing Vindaloo outweighed the positives. With so many good Indian restaurants in the area, I can't recommend Passage to India and won't be returning.

Every bite had crunch, crispiness, flavor, and balance. And being able to wash it all down with a creamy mango lassi??? Ughhhh somebody pinch me, I'm in paradise. (The mango lassis were in the fridge by the ice cream, by the way.) Of course I also had to try the classic butter chicken because I judge places by how well they execute the classics... and WOW. God dammit, it was magnificent. Don't even get me started on the perfectly buttery, crispy naan. Or the samosa chaat, which was super filling but somehow still had this refreshing sauce that kept making me go back for another bite. For dessert we ordered Gajar Halwa, Matka Kulfi, and Kesar Pista. Honestly? I had NO idea what any of those were when I ordered them. But now that I've tried all three (and they were ALL amazing), here's how I'd describe them: Gajar Halwa tastes like carrot cake filling had a relationship with rice pudding and caramelized milk flavors... and then BOOM Gajar Halwa was born. Matka Kulfi is served in a clay pot and has a creamier, denser texture than regular ice cream. It has a frozen condensed milk cheesecake type of energy. Kesar Pista (saffron and pistachio) tasted like pistachio gelato with floral vanilla-honey notes. Overall: 10/10. The food came out with perfect timing despite us ordering enough food to feed a mini army. At the time there only seemed to be two workers and I genuinely have NO idea how they were doing it all. They were preparing our huge order, handling takeout orders, answering phone calls, working the register, AND making fresh naan nonstop. Also... this place is open until 12 AM??? So I was excited to hear there's a similar concept in Tempe. I stopped by on a Monday for an early dinner. Parking wasn't an issue in the free lot they share with several other businesses including Wingstop. Ambiance (3.5/5): This is a casual eatery. And a relatively small one at that. There are 10 tables or so. The type of place you go for the food, and not the ambiance. Service (2/5): You order at the counter and they bring your food to you. The guy working the cash register seemed to be out of it. I pretty much had to guide him to do his job. A little frustrating, but not a big deal because service isn't a big part of the experience here anyways. Drinks (4.5/5): They have Indian beer, they have mango lassi, so that alone makes it an interesting assortment. I ended up going with a cheaper option: a bottled Mexican Coke. They have a decent selection of bottled beverages as well as fountain drinks. Food (4/5): While they have some items on the menu outside of this, I recommend you try one of their Indian pizzas. That means you should add Indian ingredients to your pizza. That's what makes the establishment unique. I created my own pizza. You choose from two sizes and you can select up to three toppings, your sauce base, and cheese. I went with the masala sauce, chicken tikka, lamb tikka, and paneer. The pizzas are made to order and came out nice and hot. First off, beyond the uniqueness of the offering, the pizza is quite good. Two different types of meats and a special cheese made it a delicious pizza. The crust is buttered, and while it's not thin crust, the pizza is on the thinner side. There were some red peppers on my pizza. I didn't order any. I'm not sure if it was a mistake or it's part of the masala sauce. Either way, I'm not a fan of peppers so I had to pick them out of my pizza which was a bit annoying. Still worth it given how good the pizza is. If you've never had Indian-inspired pizza, and you're looking for an affordable meal, check them out!

Both visits were great, and we'll definitely be back. The unlimited dosa special is such a fun experience, especially with a group. On both visits, we ordered the Pav Bhaji with many extra pav because it's just that good. My husband also got the Bahubali Sandwich, which was huge and felt like Honest's take on a Bombay Masala Sandwich, perfect for sharing. The service was excellent. Our servers were friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, and happy to help with recommendations. The ambiance is colorful, quirky, and full of energy, which perfectly matches the Indian street food vibe. Honest is definitely worth a visit.

It was pretty easy arranging the details and Carlo offered several options to fit our price point. On the day of the event, they were so amazing serving all the guests for the few hours of the event. All the partygoers loved the food. Such a big hit. The portions of one box of food are enough for me to have for two meals. The flavors of all the dishes are phenomenal. It's probably the best Food Truck Fried Rice out there. Yes, they use Chinese sausage instead of BBQ pork on their fried rice, but that just adds to its flavor. Chicken, corn and green beans amongst other ingredients in the fried rice. It's done wok fresh and you can taste the wok flavor in the fried rice. It's very well done. Also the quantity is large so the fried rice can last a lunch and a breakfast. Haven't tried any other items, but whenever I see Flipping Rice and I don't leave without ordering a Yang Chow Fried Rice.
