Absolutely delicious! I'm honestly shocked to find an Indian buffet that's open during the week. What a pleasant surprise! The staff was friendly, the food was really good, and the restaurant was clean and welcoming. We'll definitely be coming back! read more

Earlier this month, we decided to give their $19.99 buffet a try. Once was enough. Cheap buffet, not very flavorful food. You get what you pay for. The service is friendly and attentive though! read more

I'm not familiar with Indian Cuisine but what I ordered was fine but nothing special. I ordered the Tandoori Chicken. I requested medium spice but I should have requested the spicy option. I will go there again and sample other options on the menu. The employees were pleasant, welcoming and helpful and the venue felt authentic. Like I stated previously, I plan on returning to sample more of the cuisine. read more

Bombay House in Tempe is my new go to Indian buffet. If you loved India Oven and miss it, this place will feel instantly familiar because it is run by the previous owner and the food is very similar in the best way. The buffet is the star here. Great variety, rich flavors, and everything tastes fresh and well seasoned. The curries are comforting and bold, the rice is perfect, and the naan is exactly what you want when you keep going back for just one more plate. I always leave full, happy, and already planning my next visit. Service is friendly, the atmosphere is relaxed, and the buffet makes it easy to try a little of everything without overthinking it. If you are craving a solid Indian buffet in Tempe, this one absolutely delivers. read more

I haven't been to lot of Indian buffet but they are usually pretty good so I thought I give it a try. Lunch price of $15.95 which is pretty good. Walked inside and nice friendly staff greated me and sat me down. Lunch time and it was pretty busy. Soon as I sat down I was brought cold cup of ice water and basket of garlic Nan bread. Walked up to the buffet and saw that they had pretty good selections. Two different types of rice. Over all selections of dishes were very nice, good choices of protein and vegetarian. Few dishes that stood out was goat curry which had chopped up meat with bones. Picking meat off the bone was nice and tasty. Tandoori chicken actually surprised me. Even though it was drenched in sauce it had nice grilled taste still on the chicken. They also had mango lassi and Chai tea. Cup of mango lassi was very nice touch. Their selection was OK, don't know the names of them but it wasn't too bad. Not overly sweet but tasty. This place was probably the best Indian buffet I've been to. The staff were very attentive and friendly. I would definitely come back here again. read more

I was craving Indian food and decided to try a place I've never tried before. I'm so glad I decided on this place. We were greeted promptly by a friendly employee and seated at a table. We got there for an early lunch and had a great meal at the lunch buffet. Everyone who works there is quick to clear empty plates, bring water refills, and ensure we are enjoying our meal. read more

My new favorite restaurant, and you definitely want to choose the buffet because it's so fresh with lots of variety, and they don't skimp on the meat! They also bring fresh naan to your table. The place is spacious and clean, and the background music is perfect for conversations. The staff is wonderful--so attentive and friendly and will answer any question. The owner came out both times I've been there. Specifics: They have multiple appetizers, rice dishes, salad, and entrees. There must have been 10-12 different dishes available, and multiple desserts! They also include beverages like tea, mango lassi and cold coffee (huge plus)! Favorite dishes: lamb vindaloo, chili chicken, curry, chicken tikka masala, paneer butter masala, chana masala, kheer, and mango custard. read more

There are a lot of choices for Indian food in the Valley, but none compare to Bombay House. The food is always consistent, delicious, and if you choose the buffet option, the food is always fresh and abundant (the gravy meat dishes are full of meat and not just gravy!). The service is ample, meaning they always make sure you have enough water and naan bread, and the waiters always serve with a smile. The dining area is always clean and the lighting is just right, nit too bright and certainly not too dark. When it comes to Indian cuisine, we choose none other than Bombay House. read more

Been passing by Bombay House for a while and finally stopped in while waiting for my car to be serviced. I was warmly welcomed by the staff and given a comfy booth to hang out at. I asked if there was a menu available, but was told tha5 it was just the buffet, so I rolled with it. The buffet had a great mix of items and I really liked the fluffy rice, chicken masala, and salad! I like that I was able to try so much without commitment, although I felt bad throwing away the dishes that I did not like. I guess that is the negative that comes with a buffet, right? One suggestion would be to have a limited menu you can order from during lunch. Perhaps a few of your most popular items like chicken tikka mascara or butter chicken? read more

This is hands down the best Indian food I've had in Arizona. Everything is so flavorful and on point. They have buffet for lunch and dinner. Most places only have lunch buffet. read more

Food was good and I left full, the mango lassi was really good too, had to walk it off at target across the street

The food was absolutely amazing! Their buffet offers the opportunity to sample a variety of Indian cuisine! I tried a little bit of just about everything and enjoyed it all! I'm only reading the reviews after I ordered but I had no idea they're known for their buffet. I ordered through uber eats and I loved it. I don't think I'll be getting the spicy level but rather medium. I ordered chicken tikka masala and it was BOGO on uber eats. Good deals and I love that there's more gravy not as thick the sauce for my rice. read more

We stopped in to Bombay House for lunch. They have a buffet with a lot of variety. There were at least six different vegetarian options plus a separate table with different breads and more vegetarian options. There was also chai and mango lassi on the buffet. Everything was delicious. My favorites were the chana masala served with a light crispy fry bread and the aloo gobi. Some things were on the spicy side which was a plus for me. A server brought hot garlic and butter naan and offered more throughout our meal. Our total for two was $34 and we were offered an additional discount for paying cash. Seemed like a great value given the quality and variety of the food. Bombay House will be a regular lunch spot for us. read more

A decent Indian buffet at a good price. We went there thinking we were going to order a la carte but we were surprised they were serving buffet for dinner. I'm not a huge fan of buffets but I was willing to give it a try. The buffet had the usuals, two rice options, chicken tikka, chicken biryani, chicken tikka masala, goat curry, dhal makhani, paneer curry, aloo gobi and a few more dishes. They had pakoras and pani puri as well. For dessert they had kheer, mango custard, and gulab jamun. They also have mango lassi and tea. Everything we tried was good and we tried almost every thing. They served naans at our table. They were fresh and tasty. The only thing we hated was the water. It has a taste that we couldn't stand. Ambience was nice. Restaurant was relatively clean and service was good. It seemed pretty popular even on a week night. For 3 buffets and one soda, we paid $56 before tip. It's a solid 3.5 in my opinion and worth a try. read more

Fantastic Indian lunch buffet with a delicious, wide variety of dishes for an excellent value! I was curious to try Bombay House after seeing it had taken over the old Chutney's space, and after one visit, I'm super impressed! The food is still incredibly flavorful (much more heavily spiced than other local Indian restaurants I've tried) and includes items like pani puri that other buffets don't serve. Even better: mango lassis are included again!! So many Indian buffets have taken away the option, but I'm thrilled to see it back on the lineup. I'm unsure if I came during an opening special, but we also only paid around $15.50 per person last month, which is amazing. Service is lovely as always, and the space is so clean. My only feedback is the chai is super milky, but I'd 100% return for everything else. read more

Went on a weekend night, immediately sat for a table of 3. It is a cute family atmosphere buffet vibe. Hot fresh garlic naan delivered to your table, and it's all you can eat for a reasonable price. It allowed us to try a variety of things we probably would not order regularly. So it was a fun experience to try everything. I honestly didn't know what each dish was called, but the basics that I recognized were the chicken tikka masala, lamb vindaloo, biryani (veg and chicken), mango lassi, and Dahl. read more

Got a to-go order and got some garlic naan, chicken tikka masala, vegetable momos and baignan bharta. I ordered over the phone and was told that the order would be ready in 20 minutes. I got there in 20ish minutes but unfortunately the order wasn't ready yet but it was a short wait and I got to check out the dinner buffet which looked really appealing so we will have to check it out one of these days. The order was securely packaged and the entrees and rice were put in round clear plastic tubs while the naan was wrapped in foil. The chicken tikka masala was my favorite of the two dishes. It had just the right balance of tomato, cream, spices and the chicken was very tender. The baignan bharta was decent but I've had better renditions elsewhere. The naan and rice were great to eat the curries with. I requested both curries to be mild and they were both low on heat. Out of the two the baignan bharta was just a little spicier. The vegetable momos reminded me a lot of Asian style gyoza, but using Indian style spices. I got these for my daughter who really likes dumplings but unfortunately they were way too spicy for her. Service at the counter was very friendly and polite. I'd definitely come back to dine in or get a takeout order. read more

I came here for the lunch buffet and had enjoyed it on a previous visit, so I was looking forward to returning. Unfortunately, this experience was disappointing. After being seated, we were largely ignored and had to track down staff ourselves just to get water and naan. The service felt inattentive throughout the meal. The food was decent, but it didn't live up to the quality I remembered from my last visit. Overall, it was an underwhelming experience compared to before. read more

Wonderful lunch buffet with lots of options for vegetarians and meat-eaters. Service is great, interior is very spacious. This would be a great spot to have lunch with coworkers or family. Same old recycle buffet with dishes with extra cream to make it look fresh. You keep burping the old food . This is the gem you've been looking for. This buffet offers some of the best introductory Indian dishes you could ask for. Everything has a slight hint of heat , nothing overwhelming. Perfect for the beginner palate. Customers service ? Amazing. You constantly see workers stirring food and ensuring freshness. DJ made my visit memorable by politely explaining the dessert layout, you really can't ask for anything more when trying new cuisines. Overall I wish everyone had this type of experience when trying new foods. read more

Hey so DO NOT EAT HERE ! It's not safe, went there and the hot plates for the buffet weren't working properly so some food was kept at unsafe temperatures, and going down the line of buffet options at the very end they have their chicken tandoori COVERED WITH FLIES! They put foil over the chicken but flies are constantly on the food and flying around the restaurant. I can only assume they have a maggot problem. Sticky fly traps hanging from the ceiling SUPER GROSS. Told management about the unsafe practices and they asked us to leave without paying for our meal. They didn't seem in a hurry to fix the issue AT ALL. Just concerned with getting us out of there ASAP so they can keep feeding the customers bad food without us making a big deal. They don't care about their customers health. ALSO I used to frequent India Oven which I never went back because a literal roach scattered across my table, found out the owner of India Oven sold to another company. HOWEVER I recognized the owner at Bombay House!!! So I can only assume they still got the same nasty practices they had at India oven. SMH do better Bombay!!!! Booooo I'm disgusted! Rated 5 stars so my review can be seen. read more

Bombay House - Curries - Indian Near Me - Tempe, Arizona

I have eaten here twice in the past few months. The first time, the food was fine and more importantly, my stomach was fine. The second time was different though. I felt some of the food sitting in the buffet was old and recycled stale food and some of the stuff was tasting off. Sure enough, I woke up at 3 am with a rumbling in my stomach followed by the trots. It was not pleasant at all to be woken up in the middle of the night by the bad quality food you ate for dinner. I probably won't be going back here to try their buffet again after the last time which was a couple of months ago. They have buffet for both lunch and dinner s suspect they recycle old food and some of their food like Biryani tastes kind of stale. I have never had a bad stomach experience like the one I had after eating here the second time and it was definitely the food from here that caused it. I try to leave fair reviews for restaurants as much as I can and like I said, the first experience in this restaurant was just fine but not the second one. I can't recommend this place after my second experience and its aftermath. read more

The best experience for buffet eats! All the food was amazing! The service was top tier! I wish I had taken pics but I was too busy savoring each bite! I definitely recommend coming here. The prices are great for the variety and quality of food you get. The naan, mango lassi and chai tea is included in the price as well. I can't wait to go back! I'm reliving my first bite of the tandoori chicken right now. I must plan another trip from Glendale to Tempe soon! read more

This is hands down the best Indian food I have had. The prices for the buffet or extremely fair and you get so manny options to choose from. I appreciate that the flavors have always stayed consistent and I've never been disappointed. The naan is the perfect texture and they are very generous with it when they bring it to your table. If you choose to order off the regular menu the butter chicken is a must. Easily the best butter chicken I have ever tasted. Don't forget to try the mango lassi, it's like a dessert in a cup. The customer service has always been top tier and everyone is always so friendly. read more

Five stars is simply not enough, really. This was a wonderful experience that began as soon as we opened the door. A restaurant must pass the "nose test" for us, meaning it must smell like food. Many don't, Bombay House lets you know right away that you have come to place to eat! Now they do have an actual menu but we did not bother with it on our first visit because they also serve a wonderful buffet, that is what drew us in. The lamb vindaloo was just spectacular and the lentals were the best I have ever experienced. There were so many delicious things to try they simply can't all be described here. But the capper to the entire afternoon was the restaurant itself and the staff. The place is gorgeous, well lit and very, very clean. (Many buffet resaurants suffer on all of these points.) And the staff were extremely freindly and helpful. There is a full bar for those that are so inclinded that even serves "Old Monk" rum from India! A nice touch. Do you enjoy Indian food? You need need to go to Bombay House. Have you never tried Indian food? Then you need to go to Bombay House. But when you do, go hungry and take your time. It is so worth it. read more

I was having coffee nearby when I noticed a sandwich board outside a door advertising a lunch and dinner buffet at an Indian restaurant called Bombay House. Walked in the door to take a look at the buffet and it looked great. I returned the next day for lunch with my husband. The food was delicious! Tandoori chicken, chicken tikki masala , lamb vindaloo, lots of vegetarian choices, white or yellow rice and mango lassis. The family owned restaurant was clean, nicely decorated and the service outstanding! The owner - Prinse was cordial and constantly checked on patrons. I couldn't believe that the price for all of this was under $16!! I can't wait to return! The menu is expanded on Fridays and on the weekends it's the Grand Buffet! I may never cook again! Food service and ambiance were exceptional. A buffet with incredible service. We will be returning many times now that we found it

Nice to come in to see the changes from the previous establishment. The smells made me feel like I was in the right place. There was couples and families filling the tables, looking to be enjoying their meals. The service was friendly, has my to-go order ready when I was arrived at the specified time. When I got home, everything was packaged well, no runs, no drips, no errors. The food was flavorful and plentiful, the breads and sauces just how we like them. The prices seem more affordable than other similar places. We will definitely be back! read more

I almost hesitate to write this review because I don't want it to get any harder to snag a table--but Bombay House is hands down my favorite Indian buffet in the greater Phoenix metro area. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with a consistently excellent lunch and dinner buffet featuring a wide variety of dishes. Everything is flavorful and well-prepared, but the standout for me is the tandoori chicken--absolutely outstanding. Do yourself a favor and bring cash. It's also worth noting that this is the same ownership group that previously ran India Oven in Mesa back when it was at its peak. Under new management and definitely a decor upgrade! Service was exceptional and so friendly. We tried everything on the buffet. It was most of the same as other Indian buffets nearby. It was nice to see a few additional specialties like the lamb and goat entrees. Spice level is not mild; it packs a slight kick but not overwhelming. The rose milk and Indian coffee were delightful. I only wish there had been a coffee cake to go with it. lol My only feedback would be to have a few items on the buffet for those who may bring in kids. And maybe some mixed fruit.
