    Masala Dosa
    Nisha J.

Visited this new restaurant for lunch yesterday and had the masala dosa. I was immediately a fan! The dosa was the perfect texture, not too soft not overly crispy! The restaurant offers a large variety on their menu and I will definitely be back to try their other offerings. It's a simple set up, walk in order and grab a seat..first come first serve. So large groups go early or be ready to be separated but the food will be good :)

I was in the area with some friends when they started raving about a new restaurant that had just opened a week ago. To my surprise, it turned out to be a branch of a famous Indian chain that's made its way across the U.S. -- and now, finally, to Chandler, Arizona! The place is massive, and so is the menu. The interiors are bright, quirky, and fun -- it definitely sets a lively tone for your dining experience. Their menu covers a wide range, from North Indian classics to South Indian staples, and even Indo-Chinese favorites. You can sip on Irani chai while digging into some spicy Manchurian -- it's got something for everyone. We visited around 9:30 PM, and despite the late hour and crowd, the staff were courteous and welcoming. Since it's a self-serve setup, you order at the counter and wait for your name to be called. We tried quite a few dishes -- masala dosa, rava dosa, Schezwan and Hakka noodles, garlic naan, malai kofta, gobi Manchurian, veg Manchurian, and paneer biryani. My favorites? The dosas were a standout -- huge, perfectly crispy, and served with flavorful chutneys, sambar, and curry. Their Indo-Chinese offerings were also excellent; both the noodles and Manchurian were well-spiced and delicious -- definitely on the spicier side, but we loved it. The one miss for me was the paneer biryani -- it didn't quite hit the mark, so I'd skip that next time. If you're looking to satisfy all your Indian food cravings in one place, this spot delivers. I just hope they maintain the quality and consistency -- if they do, I can see this place being a big success. Definitely my new go-to for a flavorful Indian fix! One tip: I'd really recommend avoiding plastic containers for hot food. I understand the need for to-go packaging, but receiving steaming hot Hakka noodles in a plastic container was a bit concerning. It would be great to see more food-safe or eco-friendly alternatives in the future.

Love this place! Came here with my Indian friend, he told me this place is very famous chain in Texas and now they just opened one in Chandler, we must try! The menu's huge, and we loved everything we got- plain dosa, chai, chowrastha chicken, and idly! I love that their chai is less than $2, and it's very very good. Also dosa was huge and chutney was so flavorful. Oh and idly was soft! There are plenty of seats. Yet it takes some time for getting food, I think they cook as soon as they get order, which is great! Can't wait to try their other dishes.

This place is honestly such a loose cannon, sometimes the food is extremely spicy, sometimes it's not. The rice always has large chunks of spices which are kind of inedible. But other than that the food is really good.

Very sweet staff, clean restaurant, lots of savory pptions, and delicious desserts. They have a variety of cake slices, so make sure to check their online menu to see what they have in stock that day. Highly recommend the mango cake! For the price, I'd order this over 85 degC's any day.

I think this place recently opened and was recommended to try it out. It's a self service kinda place , pretty easy and fast moving lines. I highly recommend trying their Pani puri almost felt like trying it in India, the place can accommodate slightly larger groups as well. We were almost more than ten , and they accommodated by combining tables. If you like more flavor and you order the biryani I would recommend mentioning double Masala. Vijayawada boneless biryani was good. They are very good with packaging. You can also order to go. Eat and take the left overs as well. Biryani portions were quite big. Their bhajji and bonda were decent as well

If only their service could keep up with their food. At this point, every order feels like a surprise unboxing. I have had issues for 3 times in a row. Either the sides are missing or the order is incorrect. This time they blessed me with a micro-dose of sambar.

After 8 years of exploring Indian restaurants all across the Valley -- Gilbert, Chandler, Mesa -- Flavors of India consistently stands out above the rest. As a vegetarian, bold and complex flavors are everything to me. Without meat, you really need a kitchen that knows how to layer spices and build depth, and this place delivers every single time. The food is fresh, the flavors are rich and satisfying, the customer service is warm and attentive, and the prices are absolutely fair for the quality you're getting. The food was pretty good here, however, I was severely annoyed with the waitress who wasn't really trying to service her customers but wanted to argue for most of the experience here so hence the two stars. Read on to see why I gave a lower rating than I normally would. Since this place is called Tap N Tikka, they had a nice selection of draft beers and I was impressed with their menu, which was on a digital board. The waitress tried to sell me on an Indian brewed beer (for example, Taj) and I just wasnt in the mood for one. Ive been to India several times and have had some of their beers in country. I asked for the Roses by the Stairs Czech Pale Ale and she didnt know if they had it. So I then said, if you dont have Roses by the Stairs, I'll take a Schoner Tag, which is a wheat style Hefeweizen. She then brought me the Schoner Tag, which was a very good beer. Next, we told her we weren't too hungry and mainly wanted to snack on some items and this is where she was being quite annoying. I mentioned the chaat on their menu and thought maybe these would be small bites as these are considered roadside snacks in India, but then she had to tell me oh no they are big portions, so I am like ok... I then saw kati rolls on the menu and thought we could get these and she says oh they are like big burritos, so then I said, well we could cut them in half and share it, but she seemed to think oh they are too big. OK, so after discussing the appetizer menu and couldnt seem to land on much, we now move onto entrees. She then suggests we share a dish, which we were both fine with. She initially suggested Reshmi chicken and said it had a creamy sauce, so we agreed. So, when we finally order the Reshmi chicken, I also asked for a garlic naan to soak up the sauce with and then waitress says oh its not too saucy. So, at this point, I am like whatever lady, can we just order here as you're not being helpful?? Then, she says oh popular dishes here are chicken tikka masala, butter chicken and also bhuna chicken. She said bhuna chicken was her favorite and better than the other two and had a sauce to it, so we finally agreed on this. When the chicken arrived, it came with rice and also we ordered the garlic naan too. The chicken was very good and flavorful, but I doubt it was bhuna chicken as it was a lot more saucy than how bhuna chicken is normally cooked. Bhuna chicken is normally more dry, so I dont know what this waitress is talking about. Garlic naan was so-so and I have had much better elsewhere and for $4.95 a piece, not worth it. I didnt eat much as I was headed to another meal, but did have a bite of chicken for taste and had one piece of naan. We had leftovers and she brought two take away containers. I asked for another container and she wanted to argue about this too. At this point, I just wanted to get out of here. I was like, lady, can you stop arguing with me? The food here was good, but the service was severely ruined by a waitress that didnt know what she was talking about and kept arguing. I thoroughly did not enjoy this experience. And on my receipt, the order was rung up as Butter Chicken and not Bhuna Chicken. With so much competition now (and so hard to earn a dollar and with skyrocketing inflation) and with plenty of other good Indian restaurants around, needles to say, Tap N Tikka, you lost my business and I wont be coming back, thanks to your rude and not knowledgeable waitress.

After my most recent visit, I don't think I'll be back. We went about an hour after they opened, and the buffet was already in bad shape. The chicken tikka masala tray was practically empty, and we had to fish around just to find a few small pieces of chicken. The rice was hard, like it had been sitting for a long time instead of being freshly made. They also got rid of the carrot dessert that used to be on the buffet (one of my favorites), so even the selection isn't the same anymore. The drinks and desserts were just as disappointing. The mango lassi was chunky and weird instead of smooth and creamy, and the rice pudding was so thin and liquidy it was almost like sweet milk. The only good thing was the naan bread, which was still warm and tasted fine. The staff has completely changed too. The younger guy with the beard and turban who used to be there is gone, and now it's a bunch of older guys who don't seem to know what they're doing. They weren't outright rude, but they seemed confused and not very engaged, and the buffet clearly wasn't being watched or refilled properly. This is not the India Oven I remember. Everything from the food to the staff has changed for the worse, and the overall experience felt sloppy and honestly a little gross compared to what it used to be.

This is restaurant week in the area from 5/15/26 to 5/24/26. We had the prix fix menu and it was outstanding as usual. The atmosphere definitely says Fine Dining. The service is excellent and our server, Angelica, was no exception to the many great servers we have met over the years. Her passionate input on our selections was extremely helpful. They have a full bar. On this trip, the $44 steal of a price included 3 courses and a side of rice or naan. We started with the Bhelpuri Avocado which is like a mix of puffed rice and avocado. The contrast of the crispy rice and flavorful and creamy avocado was a server suggestion and I am thrilled she did. The table next to us was also vocally registering their excitement with the dish. My wife went with the Parsi Lamb Keema which is like having the popular street food, Pav Bahji with a fantastically flavorful lamb stew with just the right amount of heat, served with buns like sliders. For the main courses we had the ever popular and best ever Butter Chicken made even more enjoyable with a dip of the Garlic Naan made fresh in house to order. Super tender naan. I went with the other server suggestion of Fish Curry which was an incredible mix of very crisp exterior yet moist interior sea bass swimming in a delicious curry. Never ordered before but again, thank you Angelica. Finally desert was the Gulab Jamon Cheesecake. Unique and very tasty ending to a fantastic meal. I would definitely order the Punjabi chickpeas with chunks of cheese- they were amazing. Cumin rice was perfectly cooked and the garlic naan is the best version I've had in town- so light, definitely get both. I was too full for dinner, but if you like gulab jamun, there's a creative cheesecake twist on the traditional dessert. And a fun popsicle if you like candied fennel seeds and rose petals.
