    Chicken vindaloo

Tap N Tikka is a place I've long wanted to try, and I finally took the opportunity to do so. All I can say is, if you love Indian cuisine, don't miss this spot! The restaurant is clean and staff is extremely polite and friendly. They've got quite a comprehensive menu with a lot of traditional favorites, alongside some dishes I've never heard of m, but that piqued my interest. Ultimately, I settled on their garlic naan and chicken vindaloo, both of which were incredible! I love spice, but this dish can get really spicy, so if you're not a big fan of spice I either recommend going very low on their spiciness scale or potentially opting for another dish. All around, an absolutely fantastic experience and I will definitely be back soon!

We always drive by Tap and Tikka and finally decided to try it, so glad we did! It was so good. We got the Chicken Vindaloo and Garlic Naan. We went with medium spice, which was actually pretty spicy, but we love spice so we didn't mind. If you're not a big fan of heat, I'd definitely recommend going with mild. The vibe of the restaurant was cozy and inviting, and the service was friendly, but a little slower than we'd like. I know it was busy but the staff seemed like they were running around a lot. Overall though we had a great experience. The Flavor was incredible, and we're already planning our next visit!

Finally a delicious Indian restaurant close to home! We've dined at Tap n Tikka several times, and truly each time is better than the last. On the weekends during dinner rush, you will see that the place is packed! It's a fairly large dining area with optional bar seating. The bar area is such a vibe with the green and gold accents and gorgeous wallpaper running across the back. Every meal we've had, the food is packed with flavor and an aroma that will wow your senses. The portions are fair, I feel a little more on the rice portion would be reasonable. The naan- fluffy, soft and just can't get enough. The menu is quite large with an array of options for everyone. We've yet to try the dessert, but I'm sure it's great. Great atmosphere, top notch food & friendly service every time.

Hubby found this place for us to stop in for a late lunch after a quick car cruise through Tortilla Flat. Place was clean, and it was a little busy but not too much. This place serves authentic India food & a good variety of adult drinks. We orders the Chicken Manchurian, traditional butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, and garlic naan. I must say, I absolutely loved that they used dark chicken meat in both the butter chicken and tikka masala, because the chicken was so tender and tasty, not what you'd get if the breast meat was used. I usually prefer butter chicken but the tikka masala here was just delicious. It was full of flavor and spivesAlso this was the first time I've tried chicken Manchurian, it was so good, savory with a bit of sweetness, and had a bit of a kick.

Delve into Dehli-ciousness at Tap N Tikka! We went with some friends and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! Service was excellent, food was delicious and a nice selection of beers on tap too! I forgot to get a picture of garlic naan and garlic cheese naan but it was delicious! We shared tandoori chicken wings and the two different naan. We had chicken samosas and our friends had the tandoori chicken platter. We were all very satisfied with our choices and are already looking forward to another visit! Parking was right outside the front door. The restaurant was packed when we got there so I'm glad we had reservations! Be sure to check them out! You won't regret it!

My husband and I get food every week, either delivery or dining in the restaurant. It's THAT good! SERVICE The servers and host are always polite and professional. They are friendly, and they provide great recommendations. AMBIANCE The restaurant is casual, but not fast food casual. It's more like date night casual. They have a full bar in case you need some liquid courage while dining with your crush. FOOD The food is delicious every single time. We have ordered: * mixed vegetable curry * korma * mushroom matal * rose ice cream * chai tea * vindaloo * samosa * naan * garlic naan * roti They were all SO good! They came with rice, except the ice cream, naans, samosa, roti, But I recommend confirming with your server if your dish comes with rice. I love that they have a tiered 3 level spice level inquiry. And their mild is not spicy yet flavorful. :-) SPECIALS * happy hour everyday 3:30-6pm * lunch specials Monday to Wednesday 11am-12:30pm

Where to begin? We came for a birthday celebration with some friends. When we arrived I asked about getting some desserts put on our bill for a surprise for the birthday person and was assured this could happen and they would be willing to make it happen. Our first time and now this will become a regular Indian restaurant for us! The smells when you walk in the door are a promise to what you will get on your plates! We started with the vegetarian Samosa, two come in the order. They were spicy and I only ate half but everyone else who are spicy eaters loved them! They came with a mint sauce and another sauce. We got two orders of their garlic naan...some of the best naan we've had. Thin and light and cooked perfectly with lots of garlic and herbs. So delicious! Also I had the butter chicken, based on all of the Yelp reviews raving about it. Ok, singing its praise as well! The chicken is cut into chunks and is so tender, swimming in some of the best butter sauce. I ordered "mild" which was perfect. And because we couldn't choose, we also got the Tandoori Chicken and we ate two pieces there and brought home the rest for the next day. Out of this world! Wife ordered the Paneer Saag, which was so good and rich. Large chunks of Paneer swimming in the saag sauce. Everything comes with jasmine rice and is served in small dishes for sharing. I tried a bit of the garlic chicken another person ordered but didn't taste anything else because they are spice people and everything they got was medium heat! Whimp I am!! Back to dessert; when it came time I asked our server about it and she brought me the menu so I could choose. No "special" birthday service which was fine, I wish they would have told me in the beginning, but ok...ordered the Gulab Jamun, which was honey balls, served warm in a light honey sauce (two in an order) and we also got the Rose Kulfi, which has pieces of rose in the dough. Strong rose flavor and they were ok...couldn't get over the pieces of rose in it. Overall, we loved this place and will come back for the savory foods. We noticed lots of Indian families coming in which tells us it's popular and serving authentic foods. Check it out!!!

Amazing service, amazing food! Our server was really helpful in explaining the best ways to reheat the leftovers, and that they do their entree sizes specifically so you have more to eat the next day.

I've left a five star Google review as well, suffice it to say, this place had been on my list of places to go try, and today I had a second day of celebration, a committed health win, and I decided not to plan a party but to celebrate by myself. I'm pretty sure that the photographs I've taken in the video say most everything about the food, but it's also the service and the attention to find detail that make this a very comfortable find. So whether you're with friends or family, or just want to have a beautiful lunch by yourself... If you enjoy spices and good food, this is a definite placed to try. I'm sure whoever waits on you will be excellent, but if you were extra lucky, you would have the same tall, young gentleman, helping you choose your dishes.

Popped in for lunch at Tap N Tikka, an authentic Indian restaurant in Gilbert. The atmosphere was very casual, and while the service felt a bit questionable when we first walked in, it quickly bounced back and became friendly and efficient. We tried the goat rogan josh and the chicken masala -- both were flavorful and well-spiced, though the chicken dish would have benefited from using dark meat. Overall, a solid local spot with good flavors and worth a return visit. Saluti

This place was recommended by many of my coworkers who live in the area. And it did not disappoint. I went for a work lunch and it wasn't very busy. Service was great. Food took a while but that is because they make it all fresh. I had the butter chicken at a medium spice level and it was soooooooo gooooood! Had a great flavor and the spice level was perfect for me. I also had the garlic naan which was also very good. Firm, not soggy and the perfect level of garlic. Side note, I appreciated that the music wasn't too loud and that it was Indian hip hop. It was an interesting change. I liked it. I am definitely coming back to try more dishes.

We had a great time at Tap N Tikka. The dish we enjoyed the most is the butter chicken and with garlic naan. It's delicious! We ordered the lamb vindaloo and paratha, we enjoyed this very much. The paratha is stuffed with potato and onion, quite delicious. The mango lassi is perfect, not too sweet. Service was prompt and got seated right away. It has a very laid back vibe to it, kind of the local neighborhood hang out spot serving drinks and great food.

I thought the Balboa burger was very good and I would have enjoyed the gas lamp burger better if the red pepper didn't keep slipping out. They don't charge you if you change fries for tots or even your burger patty for a chicken or turkey patty, which is really nice. Lowlights: I'm a big french fry eater and I didn't really like the fries here I found them too soft. Being early birds, we had the place practically to ourselves, which made for a relaxed, no-rush lunch. I ordered the Jucy Lucy, a cheddar jack stuffed patty on a pretzel bun with sweet potato fries. The pretzel bun had that perfect glossy chew, shredded lettuce and what tasted like a Thousand Island-style sauce rounded it out, and the whole thing was gloriously messy. Sweet potato fries were crispy and well-seasoned, not soggy, which is always the gamble with sweet potato fries. My husband went with a double patty burger on a brioche bun with tater tots. Unfortunately, that's about where the positives end. If you're coming for the food or the service, I'd suggest looking elsewhere. We came in as a party of five a little after 9:00 PM and were told the kitchen closed at 10:00 PM. No problemo, we were ready to order right away. Instead, our server didn't return to take our order until around 9:20PM, despite nearby tables continuing to receive service. That was the first sign things weren't going well. I ordered the carne asada nachos specifically because the menu advertised them with queso instead of shredded cheese. I even mentioned to my group that was the reason I was ordering them. I also added a side of sweet potato waffle fries. About 25 minutes after we had already placed our order, the server came back and asked if I'd like a different meat. Like of course I don't want a different meat that's why I ordered carne asada. The server didn't say that they were out of carne asada, but I read between the lines and opted for ground beef cause really the queso is what makes the nachos. Also, I couldn't help wondering why it took 25 minutes to find that out. Then the food arrived. My nachos immediately looked different than expected. Instead of queso, they were covered with shredded cheese. Nothing was mentioned about being out of queso. I notice there was none. When I asked about it, the server casually said, "Oh yeah, we're out of queso too." Wait...what? So the restaurant was out of both the carne asada and the queso. The two main ingredients that made me order the dish in the first place. No one cared to mentioned either of those things when taking my order OR when coming back and asking if I wanted a different meat didn't also mention they were out of queso. Had I known, I would have ordered something completely different from the start. To the server's credit, she did let me order something else. Sucks for the kitchen because they were already closed. I ended up getting the sliders, but they were just as underwhelming as everything else. The food overall tasted like frozen products that had simply been reheated. Nothing tasted fresh, especially considering the prices. The biggest issue wasn't just the mediocre food, it was the lack of communication and straight lie when placing my food in front of me. If items are unavailable, tell customers before they order or at least when placing their food down, not after they've waited half an hour and not saying anything at all. Between the disappointing service, poor communication, and unforgettable food for all the wrong reasons, this place completely lost my trust. I'd honestly rather spend half the money at IHOP, where the food is more consistent and I'd know what to expect.

Apparently it is the house band. And the owner is a singer. My husband got the filet mignon and I got the braised short ribs. We also got the chocolate cake and the carrot cake. The appetizer we ordered was the brussels sprouts. The food was exceptional! Everything tasted so fresh and was perfectly done. The portion sizes for the main course was perfect, the appetizers are very large, so you can definitely share them, And the dessert was huge. Now getting to the band and the atmosphere. The atmosphere feels like family and is so warm and welcoming. And the band was absolutely phenomenal! They did not have a set list and took requests so literally everything that they played was given to them by the audience. The band also has a steel guitar player who is in the steel guitar Hall of Fame! He was SO EPIC!! If you're looking for dinner and a show in a super fun place with exceptional food, look no further!! Come early and stay till they close! And bring all your friends!

"Move over, coffee. Today is a job for champagne."…read more Oh yeah, we brunchin'! A bunch of us from my spin class decided to get together on a Sunday for brunch and here's what I munched: Grande Chicken TInga Nachos ($18 - Shredded chicken tinga, queso, roasted tomato salsa, black beans, pico de gallo, roasted jalapeño, cilantro lime crema): Okay, maybe I don't recommend the nachos. While topped with a good amount of cheese on top, once congealed, any chip on the bottom that you pull out is just going to be a naked chip. They do top these chips off with a generous amount of toppings. Brunch Burger ($19 - Angus beef patty, sunny side egg, avocado, applewood smoked bacon, cheddar, sriracha aioli, hash brown patty, brioche bun, choice of fresh fruit or breakfast potatoes): I shared this burger and requested the kitchen to cut it for me which they did. Very thankful that they were okay with the request. The burger itself was decent. It was a little weird to eat as the tiny hash brown patty made the structural integrity funny but it's not a deal breaker. I will say that it needed more sauce or something. The burger was dry after a few bites. I also had my lunch with the most savory and spicy Bloody Mary. It was amazing and probably one of my favorite Bloody Marys in a long while. You're in DT Gilbert where the energy is going to be fun. You really can't go wrong having bunch here.

I don't know who invented avocado toast, I just know I love it. A nice smear of avocado on some fluffy bread? Yes, please. I also had a nice, cold draft beer, but when my friend's spicy Bloody Mary arrived to the table, I was SUPER jealous! I was mad at myself for having chosen the wrong brunch beverage. We sat outdoors, which was a little warm but not a deal breaker. It's a cute spot to dine al fresco. We're just having a warm March. I'll be going back for that Bloody Mary!

Amazing visit from start to finish. My husband and I taste…read moretested multiple items. From the moment we sat down, the vibe was right, relaxed ambience, comfortable setting, and the kind of place where you can actually unwind and enjoy your meal without being rushed. The environment just feels good. Our waitress was awesome, attentive, friendly, and kept everything flowing without hovering. That kind of service makes all the difference and she nailed it. Now the food. Let me start with the real star of the show, the Cheesy Mashed Potato Balls. Golden, perfectly crispy panko crust on the outside, and when you bite in? Creamy mashed potato loaded with gooey melted cheese that literally stretches. Paired with that smooth cheese dipping sauce, these are dangerously addictive. I'd order a double next time without hesitation. The wings were incredible, and yes, I taste tested both the Garlic Parmesan AND the BBQ. The Garlic Parm had that rich, savory coating with a beautiful caramelized char. The BBQ brought a sweet, smoky glaze that had me licking my fingers. Both were meaty, juicy, and fall-off-the-bone tender. Honestly couldn't pick a favorite, you need both. I also grabbed a burger on a pretzel bun with bacon and sweet potato fries, stacked high, messy in the best way, and the pretzel bun held up like a champ. The Hub has that classic neighborhood grill vibe with quality that punches above its weight. Delicious food, generous portions, great service, and a relaxing spot to kick back. Will absolutely be back. Pro tip: Don't sleep on those mashed potato balls. Order them first. And get both wing flavors, thank me later.
