Omg this place is AMAZING! Hands down the best butter chicken I've ever had and definitely some of the best Indian food in this region of Arizona. The staff was so kind and welcoming, the interior was decorated so nicely, the music was great, and the food was outstanding. We ordered the butter chicken (ordered it spicy for spice level) with rice, the tandoori platter that came with different types of grilled chicken, a garlic naan, and a regular naan. The food was okay but the service and everything else was just atrocious. It took 45 minutes to get our meal at lunch time and there were only two other tables when we arrived. One of the people said the ticket machine wasn't working but the other one said they got a large number of orders just before we got there. Get your story straight guys before you lie to the customers. Our waiter almost never checked on us. I had to go find him twice to get a water glass filled one time. I ordered a to-go meal that was a curry with chicken. As you can see in this picture it very clearly is not chicken but some sort of beef which I do not eat typically. It was a very small portion to begin with and after I threw away all the beef it was literally about a cup full of rice and some sauce. Not worth the $20 by any means. read more

My biggest complain which is why they are not getting 5stars is that the tables are too small to accommodate a place setting, water glass, drink from the bar, appetizers, main course, and rice. read more

Very clean and spacious dining space. The staff was super friendly! If you come during lunch time, try the Non Veg or Veg Thali! You get a tray of variety of items. It was a great deal and it was fun to try out what chicken items of the day they have. It also comes with app and dessert. One of my favorite dish here was the Goat Rogan Josh. We asked for mild so it was the perfect spice for us. The goat was made really well and the sauce was super delicious with naan and rice! Samosa Chaat was the other favorite! It was delicious as is and also when put on top of naan. Tandoori Chicken was flavorful. Chicken Keema Naan was something new we haven't had before, but it was more on the drier side. I didn't realize this place was open and here u til a friend of mine asked me to meet him here. Upon entering the place I was a bit confused on the decor. When you think Indian food you don't think of the decor that's places inside lol. But I guess it's the 'Tap' part of the business. Server greeted us in a timely manner, and was friendly. My friend ordered the Chicken Tikka masala and I ordered the buttered chicken, along with 2 orders of garlic Naan. Our food came out fairly quick, although we were one of I believe 5 tables in total. The first thing I noticed about my butter chicken was that it was no longer emulsified and it broke. The flavor was good but wasn't as great as other places I've had. But I will say the chicken pieces were extremely tender and cooked perfectly! My friends Tikka masala chicken sauce was wayyy better than mine, I ended up stealing his sauce later on. The garlic Naan was pretty good as well! One thing I did find strange was, the food I brought home that I couldn't finish, ended up being really salty after a few hours. It was unbearably salty and I had to toss the rest out. Not sure why or how that happened. I will definitely come back and order their chicken Tikka masala! Looking forward to coming back. read more

I recently visited Tap N Tikka and let me tell you, this was an experience like no other! This was my first time trying Indian cuisine, and I'm so glad I came here to explore these new flavors. Next, we tried the Gobi Manchurian, and oh my goodness, it was delicious! Crispy batter-fried cauliflower tossed in a tangy and special Manchurian sauce. The cauliflower was perfectly crispy on the outside, yet tender on the inside, with just the right amount of spice. I could have eaten a whole plate of this! We also got the Amritsari Kulcha, which was highly recommended by the waitress. And now I totally get why. This North Indian dish consists of a crispy naan stuffed with seasoned potatoes, paired with chickpeas. It was absolutely divine, and I had to eat it with my hands to really enjoy it the traditional way. The textures and flavors were perfect together. For the main dishes, we had the Malai Goat. The goat was cooked to perfection with ginger juliennes and cream, making it rich, savory, and incredibly flavorful. The depth of flavor was remarkable, and it's something I would definitely order again. We also tried the Butter Chicken, which was everything I had hoped for. Grilled chicken simmered in a buttery, creamy tomato gravy with aromatic spices. It was the perfect balance of heat and creaminess, and the chicken was tender and full of flavor. Truly a classic dish done right. Lastly, we had the Chicken Biryani, an aromatic rice dish made with basmati rice, chicken, herbs, and a blend of biryani spices. Each bite was packed with flavor, and the rice was perfectly cooked--fluffy yet full of those aromatic spices that make biryani such a beloved dish. I saw a couple big open booths with no reserved signs and asked if we could sit there. She just flat out said no and that she would bring an extra chair. So that part was odd and kinda funny. The Vegetarian Samosa the was a good appetizer to start us off. The Mumbai Mule has a strong ginger taste but was not bad and the Strawberry Spritzer was good. Probably one of the best Indian restaurants I've been to in the valley. Let's start by the welcome when I walked in, a very warm, hospitable woman greeted me and helped me order take out. I was tempted to order the mango lassi but wasn't sure if I should so she offered me to try it first. She got me a little glass cup that was full! That I thought was very nice and generous. I was even asked if I wanted more by the owner himself! :) The mango lassi was spot on! The right temperature, the right sweetness , just perfect. For dinner, I ordered the dhal makhani, chicken biryani, hariyali kabab, chicken (comes with white rice), and 2 plain naans as well as one mango lassi. I ordered everything mild. The price was a little over $62 before tip. Since the restaurant was full, literally with only one table left, they said the wait would be 50 min! I wished at that point that I ordered on the phone prior to getting there. Nevertheless, I waited outside in the car with my family. They said they would call when the food was ready. About 40 min later I decided to go back to the restaurant to ask about dessert. After about a couple of minutes, the food was out so I decided not to order any thing else so I didn't have to wait any longer. As you see in the pictures, everything looked great. The portion size however was slightly small. The biryani was ok though and the naans were huge. I could have easily just ordered 1 naan and shared it with my husband. The taste of the dhal makhani was great but it was a little too saucy for my liking, the biryani had boneless chicken pieces and had excellent flavor. It had the right amount of heat and tasted great with the raita they gave me on the side. The hirayali chicken tasted just like afghani kabab I used to have in Dubai at a famous Indian restaurant. If I'm not mistaken it's marinated in yogurt and mint besides other spices. The flavor took me back home to my Dubai days. The white rice container was a little small. We honestly love a lot of rice with our food! Naans were just perfect. This was an excellent find and a great meal, we were so happy we were in the area and decided to try this restaurant. I would love to try to dine in next time because the atmosphere was very welcoming, I would imagine the service would be excellent. I like the decor of the restaurant and how open it is. After my first visit to Tap N Tikka, I have not been able to stop thinking about out their delicious food! I'm so glad that I was able to visit again because this place has some of the best Indian food I've ever tried! We came in during dinner time on a weekday so there wasn't a long wait for a table. The hostess sat us down quickly and the service was fast. I liked that our waiter kept checking in with us to make sure that we were happy with our food. We ordered the butter chicken, saag paneer, lamb biryani, and butter naan. Butter chicken: AMAZING! The flavors were perfect and the chicken was so tender. This is my favorite dish here and I love having it over rice or dipping my naan in the curry. Saag paneer: I love the texture and taste of paneer. This dish can be a little salty but it is good with rice. Lamb biryani: SUPER flavorful. This dish has a lot of spices and a mild spice to it. It definitely packs a good punch of flavorful so this is a good dish if you're into that. Butter naan: I prefer the garlic one but the butter naan was delicious as well and was perfect in texture to enjoy with my curries. I've been looking for a good Indian restaurant for a while now and stumbled across this one. It had good reviews, but it wasn't personally recommended so I was kind of skeptical. I'm glad I went in. It's a decent size restaurant, and looks very inviting on the inside. Our server was amazing. He recommended so many great things, and took the time to actually talk about it and check in with us. He recommended an Indian coffee, which apparently is coffee that's brewed and steamed with milk, so it was extra creamy and almost nutty and flavor. I really liked it. We started with a Samosa and that was pretty good... And was vegetarian! We then ordered butter, chicken and chicken korma. I have never had either of these dishes before. Both were chef specialties. The chicken korma blew me away. It was so aromatic and so flavorful... Kind of like a chicken tikka masala on steroids. Not spicy, unless you want it to be. I absolutely loved that one. The butter chicken lived up to its name, and was incredibly rich. Too rich for me, but my boyfriend liked it. It also had a good flavor. The garlic naan was pretty straightforward. Nothing crazy. Hooray, another Indian restaurant in Gilbert! We stopped in for an early dinner and were pleasantly surprised with the fresh decor and open space. We enjoy Indian food very much and have tried many different restaurants around the country. To start, we had the chicken 65 and vegetable samosas. The chicken 65 was decent and the samosas were very good (I forgot to take photos of those). For our entrees, we shared vegetable korma, butter chicken, and garlic naan and garlic cheese naan. We ordered the curries to be medium spice. The butter chicken was solid, with decent flavor and spice level. The chicken wasn't super tender but had a nice char to the flavor. The vegetable korma was also good with decent spice. The naan was a bit denser than we are used to, but the flavors were good. The prices and portions were about what we would expect for Gilbert. The service was excellent and quick, and the drink menu looked great. This place does not dethrone our current local favorite, but has a nice dine-in ambiance. Decided to try this place for lunch on a whim and boy do I have zero regrets about it! After looking over the menu, we decided to order vegetable samosas, garlic naan, chole bhatura, chicken biryani, and the tandoori chicken. The vegetable samosas were okay, nothing special. The garlic naan, a classic, could never go wrong with that. The chicken biryani was chock full of fragrant spices, more than most other biryani we've had before at other places. The tandoori chicken was perfectly juicy and tender, not dry or tough at all like at some other restaurants. But oh, my goodness! The best entrée that we had tried would have to be the chole bhatura. Something about the balance of flavor and texture in this dish just immediately clicked to our taste buds. The chickpeas had a nice flavoring of spices without being spicy alongside with the fried bread, which was nicely flakey yet had the right amount of being soft and crunchy at the same time, just worked well together. Not only was the food top tier, but the service was also as well. Our server was fast, friendly, had a great sense of humor, gave great recommendations and answered all the questions we had about the entrees. The ambience gave off a fun welcoming vibe for all ages. We will definitely be back whenever we happen to be in the area again! One piece of advice would be, if you're looking for a spot for a fast meal, this place is not it. The service is amazing, they are on top of everything and very informative if this is your first time. My wife had butter chicken, which is the Chef specialty with garlic cheese nann. I went with chicken vindaloo and regular garlic nann and let me tell you this is some of the best Garlic nann I've had. Definitely top five. We will be coming back a lot more frequent!
