We have been enjoying some great food at Wok & Sizzle since it opened. The one thing we had not tried was the Biryani. That changed last night. I have been told by multiple Indian Restaurants that their favorite Biryani was goat. Typically it does include pieces of meat with bone still attached so it is a careful eating but the effort pays off. It was an incredibly flavorful dish with the goat being extremely tender with a great depth of flavor. The rice added to the experience being moist and tender also. We started with our usual vegetable samosa which is great with the provided tamarind and green sauces. We also tried the Saag Paneer which again, was perfectly seasoned and had the medium heat we requested. It was another take out but the dining room looked great and happy to see people at the tables as this new restaurant builds. The food was ordered online and was ready within 5 minutes of the estimated time. This will definitely be a go to spot for us. read more

This newly opened spot at the corner of Gilbert Rd and Queen Creek is already creating a buzz for Indian cuisine in town. We went on a Saturday evening around 7:30 PM, and the place was packed. The ambiance is modern, clean, and inviting definitely a nice setting for dinner. However, the service was quite slow. We were seated promptly, but the food took at least 30 minutes to arrive. If you're there for a relaxed, leisurely meal, it works. But with young kids, the wait made the experience a bit challenging. We ordered the garlic shrimp, fried momos, and grilled chicken. Their Indo-Chinese menu is solid great flavor and taste, and definitely the highlight of the meal. The downside is the pricing and portion sizes. For what you pay, the portions don't quite do justice. Overall, it has great potential. I hope they improve the service speed and reconsider portion sizes and pricing because the flavors are definitely there. read more

Typically, I'm not a big fan of Indian food, but Wok Sizzle was a pleasant surprise. We ordered the chicken Manchurian, steamed momos, burnt garlic chicken noodles, green tandoori chicken, and for dessert, the sizzling brownie and gulab jamun. The quality and freshness of the food stood out immediately--easily better than most Indian restaurants we've been to. The dishes were simple, not overdone, and had flavors that felt unique rather than the usual "standard Indian restaurant" profile. Everything tasted well-balanced and thoughtfully prepared. What really sealed it for us was the fact that our kids enjoyed the meal, which says a lot. This definitely isn't your typical Indian spot. The sizzling brownie deserves a special mention--it was excellent. The brownie was moist, unique, and not overly sweet, which is rare, and easily one of the highlights of the meal. Service was okay, likely due to new staff still getting trained, but it didn't take away from the overall experience. The ambiance is simple and modern, again not the typical Indian restaurant vibe. Overall, Wok Sizzle exceeded expectations and is a place we'd gladly return to. read more

I'm always down for trying a new Indian restaurant! This one touts Fresh Indian and Indo-Chinese Fusion with Bold Flavors. Sounds perfect to me! The exterior signage was hard to see as we came here at night time, but driving by after our dining experience but before writing this review, it looks like they have a new permanent sign on their exterior! That's always a good sign that they intend to be around for much longer. The interior was clean and spacious with a mix of tables and booths. The booths were comfortable and large enough to fit my tall family which isn't always the case these days. Our server was friendly and gave us a rundown of the menu and their favorite dishes. I got the Tom Yum soup and red curry chicken. My son also got the red curry and my wife had the butter masala. I noticed they didn't have lamb as a protein option...just chicken, veggie and paneer for the curries. The curry had a good spice and heat balance to give my mouth a little flavor dance without flashing the warning signs my stomach may be fighting a fire. The curry is accompanied by basmati rice, which I ran out of about halfway through my curry. My curry also had too much chicken! I know that's a strange complaint but next time I may go with a veggie curry. We also shared buttered and garlic naan. My son gobbled up so much there was naan left (none left...dad joke). The strangest moment of the night is I paid our server with my credit card - tapped it on the handheld card reader and then she immediately walked away. We waited about 5 minutes and thought it was strange I didn't get to select a tip amount or finish the transaction. I found the server and asked her and she said she didn't apply a tip and we were 'good to go'. Thus we had to use the cash on us and leave it at the table. I definitely look forward to coming back and trying new dishes- veggie biryani, red or green tandoori chicken, or a different curry. I also would like to sample the chicken lollipop and butter chili garlic shrimp appetizers. Likely will increase my rating to 5* if the food remains excellent and we don't have an awkward bill-paying moment. read more

Newly opened in our area and of course we had to visit! The restaurant is clean, decor is simple and so far a very calm environment with low conversations. The staff are very kind and welcoming! I had the chicken manchow soup and the schezwan noodles with chicken medium spicy. I very much enjoyed my dishes! Can't wait to explore their other menu offerings! Everything was good that we ordered: chicken & paneer tikka masala, baby corn, spicy fried chilli shrimp, garlic butter nnan , biriyani except for the chicken Momos. Those are not chicken Momos.. and I've had chicken Momos in India..they tasted like Costco chicken dumplings... which was disappointing. Overall the food was flavorful and authentic. The Biriyani took longer than everything and came towards when we were finishing sadly. It was still very good the next day! The fried appetizers were very crunchy, loved the shrimp. Ordered chicken lollipops, tikka masala, momos, and a mango lassi. The chicken lollipops were well seasoned and tasty. They were my favorite. The tikka masala is more on the tangy tomatoey side as opposed to being more creamy. The mango lassi had good texture and flavor but I think a little extra sweetness would be nice. Ok let's break this down. I genuinely appreciate a solid good Indian restaurant near me because tell me why this place is SO DARN GOOD AND SO SO SO AFFORDABLE. I was pleasantly surprised with this new find. It's not much to look at inside which may be why there was a steady flow of take out orders the entire time we were there or it could be the overall great food. We tried several dishes and liked just about everything. The Manchurian Fish was excellent. Great flavor, cooked just right and just enough heat. We tried both sizzler platters and preferred red over the green but the side lime cilantro sauce was great on both dishes. The naan bread was tasty but we'll probably skip the butter chicken next time. The sauce was ok but the chicken pieces left something to be desired. It's really cool if they have the Instagram like feature where you could take a picture if you'd like and the TV with the music kinda has a nice little touch to it. Food has weird taste, not good at all. Ordered chicken sizzler and it was hard to eat for kids. Pieces for so huge! Service was poor. The waitress asked for tip in cash because apparently the owner does not pass tips on to the staff. That's a terrible employer! Someone who steals from employees should not be in business. We decided to try this out tonight for dinner. It was terrific! The spring rolls were hot and fresh and not too heavy. I had Chicken Tikka Masala and really loved it. The rice that came with it was very good and we ordered garlic naan bread that completed the meal perfectly. My wife had Methi with chicken and she liked it but it was a bit spicy for her so she ate more of my dish than her own. It was perfect for sharing and honestly we could have just shared one entree between the two of us and been happy. Definitely will plan to visit again. read more

The fried rice wasn't like your 'traditional' fried rice. They added a little cilantro and red onion but still had the veggies. I could eat a big bowl of that rice alone. We ordered : Corn soup ( basically hot water with corn and peas) 1 star Baby corn Manchurian - medium spicy 5 stars Veg Korma - bland with few vegetables & small bowl of white rice 3 stars Instead of Korma wanted to order noodles but was told that it was too late to change ( 5 minutes from the time we placed the initial order). It was disappointing. Table was wobbly. But overall service was fast, efficient and friendly. Provided complimentary Gulab Jamuns. Very nice touch. Will plan to visit again to try Chinese noodles, fried rice, etc. Suggestions: : Please improve the soup recipe and make it more appealing and appetizing and instead of white rice provide Jheera rice as an option. read more

Only suggestion would be to swap out the ramch with some type of sweet chili glaze for grills. The food was very flavorful and the rice was so aromatic. Husband and I shared Gobi Manchurian, Chicken Tikka Masala, and garlic Naan. Everything was piping hot and fresh. There is only one word for the Tikka Masala...Lucious! The Gobi would fool you into thinking it's meat..the texture is crisp and although it is highly seasoned, it is very well-balanced. The service was also excellent. We got here at 5:30 on a Monday night, and we were the only diners for about 30 minutes. Eventually more folks came in to enjoy this lovely place.
