Pretty disappointed with my order from Zipps. I ordered wings, fries, and onion rings, and honestly, none of it was great. The fries were okay and onion rings were undercooked. The worst part was the wings. While I was eating them, I noticed that some still had feathers attached. I had to do a double take because I've never had that happen at a restaurant before. I took pictures because I couldn't believe they were served like that. I get that mistakes happen, but feathers on chicken wings and undercooked sides shouldn't be making it out of the kitchen. (2/5) This Zipps Sports Grill location was a huge letdown. The food was honestly disgusting--some of it came out undercooked, and the onion rings were especially bad. They were soggy, greasy, and tasted like they weren't even finished cooking. The service didn't make it any better. It was painfully slow, and it took about 45 minutes just to get all of our food. Even worse, everything didn't come out at the same time, so people were sitting there watching others eat. And to top it off, they charge 60 cents for each side of ranch, which feels ridiculous considering the quality of the food. Overall, this was a really poor experience. Between the terrible food, long wait, and extra charges, I definitely won't be coming back. Save your time and go somewhere else read more

I will always and forever order my favorite pepperjack focaccia when I visit Zipps. I'm not sure I've ever had anything else. They also serve my favorite shoestring fries that I graciously dip in the sweet jalapeño sauce the focaccia comes with. We made zipps our go-to place during FIFA matches and had the best time every visit. It really is a typical sports bar but with the best food. My husband tends to switch between burgers depending on his mood, usually it's the peanut butter burger or the sweet jalapeño burger. The service is great every visit. I'm not a typical sports bar fan but zipps has been a favorite of mine since at least 2013. The ambiance can be chill or it can be chaotic depending on what's happening on the dozens of tvs. Highly recommend for a good time any time! read more

I'm seriously disappointed with the management at Zipps in Gilbert. For a sports bar, the manager seems completely disconnected from what the regular clientele actually wants to watch and how important game selection is--especially on the busiest sports days of the week. Last week, an entire group actually left because of the games the manager chose to put on. That should be a major wake-up call. When customers are walking out of a sports bar because they can't watch the games they came to see, something is clearly wrong. A manager should be out on the floor, talking to customers, understanding what people want, and paying attention to the atmosphere--not sitting in the office during the busiest part of the week. Went to watch the game here...They had a lot of screens, which is great! But they weren't in sync so I could really only watch one screen to see things "on time." While it was busy they seemed a bit understaffed. We didn't get a single refill and had to ask for napkins and silverware while our food was at our table. The food was fine. It was typical bar food and relatively bland. But, what I did like about this place is that they offered lots of options which I really appreciate. My family and I often go to zipps. It's one of our favorite places. The food is always good and we have perfected our order. Tonight we had a server for the first time his name was Teagan and he was absolutely amazing! I even heard him ask the table next to us if they wanted their usual, which means he not only recognizes and and remembers familiar faces, but also orders. The ranch is watered down literally no joke. This location is cheap AF for serving customers watered down condiments when they're to pay a premium for each side of condiment. This is the only zips location I have been to that does this. I asked the server if the ranch is going to be watery like this and she said yes because it's all premade in the morning and every ranch side will be watery like that lmao that is absolutely unacceptable to do to your customers. May be a long review but it needs to be done! My wife and I frequent different places (mostly downtown Gilbert) looking for football games (with sound) but Zipps was recommended by a co-worker and man are we glad that we went! First, atmosphere was perfect; definitely a sports bar vibe with a clean, spirited feeling. Not sure how many TVs but felt like 30+! Second, the service?? Wow!!! Riley was especially nice and Michael was so helpful in picking out our food suggestions. We never waited and the food came out in a timely manner. Third, the food (especially their wings) was some of the best we've ever had (even my wife that hates wings is now addicted). Finally, even all of the customers were very friendly and talkative. I love Zipps zipperitas!!! Best ever! And I like most of your food. But seriously you have the most gross fries and onion rings. I wanted to say this for a long time. Everyone talks about it. Your fries are soggy and limp. Even if you ask for them crispy they are still soggy. Your onion rings have this hard clumpy stale coating with hardly any onion. No one orders them. We love a good Zipps night! It's always consistent food for us since we almost always get the chicken skewers! I also highly recommend the focaccias as well! We will say the last time we came in we were seated quickly on a Friday night for two people but then sat at our table for about 10 minutes before anyone came to take our drink order. After the delay in our drinks, everything came out fast even though it was super busy on a Friday night. We shared chicken skewers and a side of fries, carrots, and celery. I had one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had at Zipps. I ordered a cheeseburger, and the server suggested "The Big Zipp," saying it came with cheese and sauce. Sounded good, so I said sure. Twenty minutes later, the burger arrives--no cheese, no sauce. Just a dry, overcooked hockey puck. We had small kids with us, so waiting for a new one wasn't an option. I politely asked the server if they could just remove it from the bill. Instead, she called her manager. Ten minutes later, he finally shows up--rude, defensive, and completely dismissive. He tells me it's my fault for ordering the wrong item and that there's "nothing he can do." I was stunned. I calmly explained that I'd asked for a cheeseburger and took the Big Zipp on the server's recommendation--but he refused to take any responsibility. No apology, no compromise, just attitude. And this is after we said nothing about the fries, which were swimming in grease and totally inedible. The food was terrible, but the service was even worse. The manager, David, should be ashamed of how he represents this business. As a business owner myself, I'd be horrified if someone on my team treated a guest this way. I won't be back--and I'll be telling anyone who will listen to steer clear. There are plenty of better places around. Why do I torture myself and keep coming back to this establishment? I used to work for them so I should know that the food is going to be mediocre at best and the service will be subpar. This had to be the worst experience I've ever had at Zipps and I highly encourage you to go to other sports bars or local establishments. They'll treat you like a piece of dog poop and don't care about your food. My mother-in-law ordered a simple cheeseburger and it came out with no cheese. They refused to take it back and they said they would talk to a manager. Well, five minutes goes by and nobody comes back so I went up to the expo line and I am ignored by everyone. I had a server give me a nasty look though so there's that. Finally, a really nice girl asked me what I needed and said that they could melt cheese and bring it to our table. I was very kind and said that's fine and went back to my booth. Well, 10 minutes goes by now and still nothing. Finally, the cheese comes, but my mother-in-law's burger and fries are ice cold at this point and what do we get? I'm so sorry about that. That's all. She did say that they could take the burger back and make her a new one, but this was about 20 minutes after the fact, and it was already at 7:30 PM with my kids. I will say there were two people there that genuinely seem to care about it but still they didn't comp it for her. The manager never approached us at all. My mother didn't even eat the meal. I understand it's not the staff's fault. The owners are so cheap and probably don't allow them to comp or remake anything. Which is probably why we received melted cheese on the wax paper to put on ourselves. The root of the problem is the same problem and has been for 20+ years and that's the owners. Cheap (it's how the rich get richer), concerned only about the bottom line, and complete and blatant disregard for customer service. I'm convinced the only reason they're in business is because there aren't many other sports establishments to choose from. Gross. I don't understand how people honestly enjoy the food here. It's absolutely repulsive. My husband said "the Philly rolls will change your life" what a joke. Maybe in the worst way. We asked if we could switch them for fries instead since we didn't like them, but our server said it would still be on our bill -- even though we only tried one. Obviously, we had to taste the food to see if we liked it. My mother-in-law was on her third beer when the shift manager rudely told her, "this is your last one," without any explanation. We later learned they were counting the entire table's drinks, not just hers -- something never explained to us. Our waitress was wonderful and actually took the time to clarify the situation, but the shift manager never apologized and handled it very poorly.
