We didn't know this was buffet style, but it's our first time trying Indian food so that actually helped a lot. I expected it to be spicy, but nothing was too hot. We went around 8pm, so the food wasn't the freshest, but I know it would've been super tasty a couple hours prior. Very family-owned vibe here and the server was quick to help us. All in all, $20/person for all you can eat isn't bad. I tried everything they had and honestly enjoyed it all! The naan bread... to die for...

This was a pretty solid spot! I had been once or twice before but since it had been so long, I suggested this place. My boba sistah and I met up for lunch with her little one and I was ready for some Indian food. There were a few people there when we arrived around noon and more trickled in as the afternoon passed. It's a quick spot since you don't have to order and wait to be served. Basically, you choose your table and pick up a plate or two to fill up. We were given ice water and garlic naan, a great start. I was impressed with the variety and quantity of options available: quite a few vegetarian dishes as well. I really appreciated the mango lassi and chai, both of which were delicious. I enjoyed the food, especially the daal and the chicken tikka masala, a classic. I would probably pass on the chicken tandoori next time, too much work ;-). I'm usually pretty good at pacing myself and only getting what I know I can eat, but this time I overdid it. It might've been the spicy jalapeño and veggies that I grabbed to make my meal more "healthy", but know your limits folks. Didn't want to waste food. Overall, a good Indian buffet and worth the price of $18.99 ($20.99 for dinner). The gulab jamun was so tasty as well! Service was prompt and friendly.

Mango lassi

I went for the lunch buffet and had a little bit of everything. It was soooooo good! The mango lassi is a MUST as always. But everything was delicious. Not too spicy but really good flavors. The Naan was thin, crispy and chewy and just the way I like it. And they didn't skimp out either! I hate having to ask for extra naan when a place only gives you one or two peices. The only thing I didn't like was that some of the rice had dried out and gotten hard. But I would definitely come back again

My mom loved this place years ago and suggested we try for dinner. They push the buffet, so we all did it. Several items were lukewarm or not warm at all, which can be common for a buffet. I do love that they have an array of vegetarian options, even if they were the freshest and warm. The service was friendly, but the decor did seem dated and cluttered. Overall, not a favorite but a decent option for a vegetarian meal.

This is my first time writing a review for a restaurant here in Arizona. Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. The first issue we noticed was that the glass we were given was dirty, so we had to ask for a replacement. When we went to get food, most of the trays were nearly empty, so we ended up taking whatever was left. The food quality was poor, including the rice. To make matters worse, my husband found a small piece of aluminum foil in his food. Because of this experience, I would not recommend this restaurant, especially to those who enjoy Indian food like I do. This visit has completely turned me off from Indian food for a while.

$14.95 lunch buffet plus tax. 10% discount for paying cash. Good selection of items. Good taste. Good service.

Nice restaurant with comfortable seating. Greeted promptly at the door, given water. The buffet was a really good size. Has meat, vegetarian, and deserts available. Also mango lassies were part of the buffet. The $14.95 price was attractive. The food is mixed. The lamb vindaloo was tough, but flavorful. The curry chicken looked more like chicken bryani. The chicken tikka was pleasant, but bland. The tandoori chicken was excellent. The dal was runny, but tasted good. And the rice was what you expect. The naan was fresh and hot. Had the Taj Mahal but it was pricy. Overall, it was ok. If you're in the area, go for it. But not worth a cross town trip.

Sorry to say but this wasn't very good food. The buffet wasn't even hot. The lettuce, cucumbers and dressings were really good.

Ask the Community - India Oven

Hi, is there a reason that online pickup orders are not allowed for dinner? I'm trying to avoid $20+ worth of delivery driver tips and other delivery-based fees on a $65 subtotal.

Is the buffet open every day and at what times?

The lunch buffet, is 11, to 2:30.

How much is dinner buffet?

$19

Is there a full bar?

It's pretty tiny

What is the price for the lunch buffet?

$15.00

Are there any vegan (no meat, no egg, no dairy) options?

There are vegetarian choices. However most of Indian food is cooked in ghee which comes from butter. So even mixed vegetables wouldn't be strictly vegan. Paneer while vegetarian is made from cheese so also would not be vegan.

Do you have buffett open?

Yes it is open

Is your buffet open?

Yes it is open. We went 2-3 months ago

Do india oven, serve indian fry bread?

No. They serve food from the country of India. It's not a Native American Indian restaurant.

I had paneer with spinach masala and a side of Shack Naan (topped with garlic, cilantro and cheese!!!). My food arrived quickly and was hot (temperature). No complaints. The paneer was firm and the masala had a good texture and depth of flavor. The house spice level wasn't really spicy at all for this dish, but I wanted a baseline. Some Indian places start on the high end and only get painful from there. That's not the case here; I'll definitely go Hot next time. My food disappeared nearly as fast as it showed up... I have had a lot of Indian food, and this is still some of my favorite in Arizona. My go-to order here is usually between the malai kofta, shahi paneer, lamb korma (please try this), and the chicken 65. I find medium spice to be the perfect level of heat. The depth of flavor in their curries are incredible. The shahi paneer in particular is a great example of how precise their process must be. You can genuinely taste the combination of every spice used, and it feels like they used the perfect ratio. There are so many different notes of flavor and not a single one seems to be drowning out the other. The same can even be said about the chicken 65, but the curry is where this really shines. Also they've been really good about their rice, it was the perfect texture the last few times we've been. I can't comment on the service in-restaurant since my girlfriend and I are the kind of people to get takeout and watch a movie, but I will say the carryout ordering process has gotten significantly smoother. Ordering on the phone seems to be the way to go, and I have not had any of my orders messed up. I have had a couple times where I was awkwardly waiting for someone to be ready to help me get my order, but the wait time has generally been WAY better (like literal seconds), and staff are friendlier. Overall I would probably give a 4.5. Due to how good it is, and more importantly, how *consistently* good it's been, we've pretty much gone here every time we want Indian.

It was a Saturday evening, so I wasn't sure what to expect, but my friend and I were able to be set immediately once we arrived around 8 or 9 PM. We ordered the fried chicken small plate and the green pea samosas. The green sauce that comes with the samosas is fantastic, soo flavorful and yummy! I was worried about not liking the samosas because I have a strong dislike for peas, but they were honestly so good, and with the sauce, no complaints. The fried chicken was also pretty good and came with his own green sauce as well. This sauce had a creamier texture to it and was good, but not as good as the other sauce. My friend ordered the butter chicken entrée and I was shocked to find that at $28, it did not include rice. As a matter of fact, a side of rice was $6 to add. At the price you're paying, I feel the least they could do is add the tiny bit of rice they give you for $6. Anyway, upon the server's suggestion, I ordered the fish curry. I was a little nervous as I tend to avoid ordering fish at restaurants, but it was good and I was pleasantly surprised! I initially thought this portion was small, but honestly upon eating it it's probably a decent portion for the meal you're getting. The $33 price tag is a bit up there, but I'm also not knowledgeable about the cost of Seabass and what not. Lastly, I did order the cheesecake dessert , and found it wasn't for me. I expected more flavor from the donuts baked with it as well as a caramel drizzle, but didn't seem to get that. It really just tasted like plain cheesecake to me, which is not my favorite. My friend liked it though! If you are a cheesecake lover, you'll probably love the desert.
