09/18/2026 **AZ Restaurant Week** Reservation for 3 on a Friday evening. It was quite busy at the time, but we got seated pretty quickly. We sat at a table with both booth seating and chairs. There was just a small space between our table and the one next to us. Due to the proximity, even the server bumped into our table when serving the other group. We got water shortly after we sat down, but overall service was extremely slow the entire time. It took a while for our server to stop by to take our order. Food came out hot and fresh. We each got different starters and entrees from the AZ Restaurant Week menu, so we could all try more dishes. The fried jhinga (shrimp) was good paired with a mint & cilantro chutney. My friend's starter Kutchi Dabeli had spiced peanut in it and was more spicy than we expected. The lamb keema was pretty good, and I typically don't eat lamb. For main dishes, loved the paneer - it had a lot of sauce, which paired nicely with the garlic naan. The murgir johl (bone-in chicken) had good flavor. I was not a fan of the fish curry. For dessert, the popsicle was coated in so many different spices that overpowered the ice cream. The malai ghewar had a nice crunch but tasted too oily. The spicy guava maria cocktail was smoky (from mezcal) and delicious. We had an issue with the bill - the two beers from the table next to us were added to our bill. The food is so delicious here. No worries about too much tomato paste or inauthentic accoutrements. We loved the deep flavor of each curry and the beautiful presentations. We dined here for restaurant week and loved the offerings for each course- a great value. The featured cocktail was exciting (but far too much ice!) and flavorful. We enjoyed the lamb keema and the sweet potato chaat for appetizers. The bone-in chicken and fish curries for the main entree were incredible. Highly recommend visiting and trying several things on the menu to share. We can't wait to return to try the regular menu. Service was just ok. We were taken care of and our server was friendly. We struggled with dishes coming to the table and being mislabeled or dropped off in front of the wrong person. I have found a new favorite. Feringhee's food and ambience definitely scored with their fantastic dishes and beautiful clean decor. We had reservations for 4 ppl at 6:30pm. We arrived about 10 min early. While we waited to gather outside, so many people arrived at the same time and the restaurant (after we were seated) went from slightly empty to full with only two tables left in the main hall. Feringhee's menu seemed a little limited considering what we are used to seeing at Indian restaurants in the valley. Even the names of the dishes were different but the description below was good to understand what they're made of. I ordered some of the dishes I've missed like Pav Bhaji, Keema, and Samosa for starters/small dishes. We also ordered Chicken Biryani, fish curry and Lamb Chops as well as one naan and a chapati as well. If I was to score each dish separately, I would give the chicken Biryani 9.5/10, Fish curry 10/10, Lamb Chops 8/10, Pav Bhaji 10/10, Samosa 6/10, Keema 8/10 and both naan and chapati are 9.5/10. Although a lot of reviews said the restaurant is serving modern Indian food, I found the flavors to be spot on and especially the 10/10 dishes. They brought back childhood memories of both "around the corner restaurants" and fancy Indian restaurants with authentic flavors in Dubai. The fish curry had the exact same flavor (although more delicate) of a fish dish I used to order from a small neighborhood restaurant. Chicken biryani was fantastic. Fluffy rice, the right flavors, generous amount of chicken and the side gravy and Raita were just the right pairing for this dish. The raita, I could have that for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Creamy with a slight tang. Raita is usually made in house and this one had the right creaminess, it was perfect. With the Biryani I'll just ask next time that I have more rice than chicken because I am a rice person :) The lamb chops and lamb Keema scored slightly lower for us, not because they are not good, but because we personally are no longer big on the strong lamb flavor (after eating mostly beef recently). But the sauce and the spices for both dishes were excellent. The meat doneness was also perfect on the lamb chops. The fish dish is deceiving in that they put the rice underneath the fish. That's new to me but what a great idea that was. There was enough gravy for the rice to soak the flavors and more to keep the dish creamy. The curry was made with coconut milk, mustard seeds and curry leaves. The flavors were just fantastic. The Pav Bhaji and Keema were both served with freshly baked buns which they make in house at the restaurant. Those dishes were creamy and delicious with the Pav Bhaji winning with the greatest flavor. Rotis were excellent, flavor wise specifically. For the chapatti, it had the exact taste I'm used to, I just like it softer and a little chewier. Naan was great too. Both Rotis I think were rolled slightly thinner than what I like which would have made them less crispier and chewier in my opinion. Nevertheless, they scored a 9.5 so they are perfect. The samosa was not our favorite. It was made with peas and cheese, a modern take probably on the traditional pea and potato samosa. While the texture of the dough was right and the spices tasted good, I would have preferred a more traditional samosa. We did not order drinks - just water and no dessert either because by the time we finished eating, we were absolutely full. I wish I knew the name of our server because he made our experience even better with his friendliness and warm welcoming service. We were checked on multiple times and our water cups were filled all the time. All the waiters had a friendly and welcoming attitude which was very pleasant and made our experience top notch. The prices of the dishes are a little high. Our meal before tip cost over $150. The food however was so delicious, service was superb and ambience was beautiful, it was worth it. We are so looking forward to going to Feringhee again. We will be sharing our wonderful experience with friends and family. read more

Always a good time, great food and great service. Been coming here for years. Usually go couple times a year. For the most part, the food and drinks are pretty consistent. I normally get the Pani Puri shots, the butter chicken, rice and naan. I had the biryani years ago and thought it was eh but maybe worth trying again. In my recent visit my friends who are vegetarian decided to get the kofta and paneer rolls. The rolls looked good but i didnt try them. We all enjoyed the kofta. For drinks: The Murabba (mango flavor) mule mocktail is nice. My hubby normal gets the ghee old fashion and normally thats not a drink I would have but this one is good. There signature cocktails all look interesting and unique. This is good spot to go to for out of town guests or special occasions. I do recommend reservations- especially on the weekend. If its only a couple people you might be able to walk-in. There is a larger area if looking for a venue for a large group/special occasion. read more

Visited Feringhee for AZ Restaurant Week and it was a lovely time. I tried some dishes I've never heard of and never had before. First I ordered the Murabba Mule, which was so much spicier than I anticipated. But the pain was so good so I had to drink it all. For the pre fixe meal app, I ordered the Dabeli. It was also very spicy so I had to eat it slow plus I mixed it with the mint and cilantro chutney and that helped with the heat level. For the entree I had to have the fish curry. It was everything I wanted, savory and tender in a delicious curry sauce. The Jhol dish was excellent as well as the Paneer. I ended up eating too much naan and took some of the fish curry home. The desserts were very interesting, I originally had the malai ghewar but traded with my friend when she wasn't a fan of the popsicle. The ghewar is like a super crispy weaving with icing and strawberry pieces and the popsicle is green matcha with a crumbled up potpourri mix of fragrances. The restaurant is very pretty with a romantic vibe and the service was good for a Friday night. The only thing I personally had a small issue with was the unexpected AZ restaurant week service charge at the end. It's not listed on the menu or on their website so we were all taken aback by that. This place has been on my list for a while and I'm so glad I finally made the trip to check it out. Tried a bunch of things at dinner last night- all super tasty. To start, the prawn ghee roast is a nice pile of perfectly cooked shrimp on a thin uttapam pancake that was perfect for soaking up the seasoning. Loved all the flavors and textures in the beetroot tikki chaat and would def order this one again. For mains, we went with fish curry and charred corn dumplings. Both came with really great sauces. I would definitely order the Punjabi chickpeas with chunks of cheese- they were amazing. Cumin rice was perfectly cooked and the garlic naan is the best version I've had in town- so light, definitely get both. I was too full for dinner, but if you like gulab jamun, there's a creative cheesecake twist on the traditional dessert. And a fun popsicle if you like candied fennel seeds and rose petals. I have been wanting to try this restaurant for a while and finally had the opportunity! This restaurant puts a creative spin on traditional Indian food. For example, one thing we tried was the trio of Pani Puri. You wouldn't be able to tell from the description on the menu, but you are served these puffed balls and little juices with them that you pour into the balls. It looks like a science experiment! There is an interesting crunch and pop with juice that accompanies this dish. We also tried the chaat and the cauliflower. All were delicious. For mains, we tried the goat curry and the fish curry. We have been going to Feringhee since this Woman Owned restaurant opened in June 2022. It is our favorite Indian Restaurant in Arizona. This is restaurant week in the area from 5/15/26 to 5/24/26. We had the prix fix menu and it was outstanding as usual. The atmosphere definitely says Fine Dining. The service is excellent and our server, Angelica, was no exception to the many great servers we have met over the years. Her passionate input on our selections was extremely helpful. They have a full bar. On this trip, the $44 steal of a price included 3 courses and a side of rice or naan. We started with the Bhelpuri Avocado which is like a mix of puffed rice and avocado. The contrast of the crispy rice and flavorful and creamy avocado was a server suggestion and I am thrilled she did. The table next to us was also vocally registering their excitement with the dish. My wife went with the Parsi Lamb Keema which is like having the popular street food, Pav Bahji with a fantastically flavorful lamb stew with just the right amount of heat, served with buns like sliders. For the main courses we had the ever popular and best ever Butter Chicken made even more enjoyable with a dip of the Garlic Naan made fresh in house to order. Super tender naan. I went with the other server suggestion of Fish Curry which was an incredible mix of very crisp exterior yet moist interior sea bass swimming in a delicious curry. Never ordered before but again, thank you Angelica. Finally desert was the Gulab Jamon Cheesecake. Unique and very tasty ending to a fantastic meal. This place had a great interior design with splashes of yellow, a deep green color, and some patterned decor as well. It all blends so well together and creates a very put together look! Our server last night was so friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu! He was able to answer all questions and made a great suggestion in my entrée. It was a Saturday evening, so I wasn't sure what to expect, but my friend and I were able to be set immediately once we arrived around 8 or 9 PM. We ordered the fried chicken small plate and the green pea samosas. The green sauce that comes with the samosas is fantastic, soo flavorful and yummy! I was worried about not liking the samosas because I have a strong dislike for peas, but they were honestly so good, and with the sauce, no complaints. The fried chicken was also pretty good and came with his own green sauce as well. This sauce had a creamier texture to it and was good, but not as good as the other sauce. My friend ordered the butter chicken entrée and I was shocked to find that at $28, it did not include rice. As a matter of fact, a side of rice was $6 to add. At the price you're paying, I feel the least they could do is add the tiny bit of rice they give you for $6. Anyway, upon the server's suggestion, I ordered the fish curry. I was a little nervous as I tend to avoid ordering fish at restaurants, but it was good and I was pleasantly surprised! I initially thought this portion was small, but honestly upon eating it it's probably a decent portion for the meal you're getting. The $33 price tag is a bit up there, but I'm also not knowledgeable about the cost of Seabass and what not. Lastly, I did order the cheesecake dessert , and found it wasn't for me. I expected more flavor from the donuts baked with it as well as a caramel drizzle, but didn't seem to get that. It really just tasted like plain cheesecake to me, which is not my favorite. While the food was quite good, the service was lacking. Our cocktails were not delivered by the time our mains were set on the table. All four of the appetizers arrived simultaneously, leaving no room on the tiny table to maneuver or share. We had barely worked out sharing the opening dishes when we were bombarded with the mains and ancillary dishes. Pacing has apparently never been discussed in the back of house. Empty dishes were not taken away. The server was absent for long stretches. The billing was incorrect. An adjacent table had similar issues and was delivered a free desert from the owner. We just (over)paid the bill rather than continue to address the issues. Having read that this restaurant was in the discussion for recent Michelin recognition, we expected much more both in terms of the quality of "elevated" cuisine and obviously an expectation of adequate service. read more

We went for lunch on a Saturday. The food was delicious. The lunch menu needs to be redone to add descriptions. I know my way around Indian food and have tried almost every Indian restaurant from Queen Creek to Glendale and have been to India, and yet I could not tell what the menu choices were. We asked for a full menu and tried to find each item on the regular menu to know what it was. It was like doing homework. We would have ordered more had we known what anything was. I just hoped that the items I found would be enough as I had no idea what half the menu was. The food itself was great. The puffed grains dish was so good. Momos were good and also spicy, the baighan bartha was ok, not great and that is a dish I often, and lastly the chicken drumstick thing was very flavorful and delicious with the mint chutney. We had a bottle of rosé also, and it paired well enough with what we had. I will return but not for lunch ad I found the menu frustrating. I will return for dinner. The presentation gets 100% and the service for peak lunch hours was spot on! We started with the kakori kebob, it was a pleasant surprise. Ordered their famous Feringhee I love you drink.. it was light for a hot summer day! The dum biryani was so-so that was a bit disappointing , Rice was a little undercooked.. the butter chicken and naan and roti were perfect! What bought the entire experience together was the Tender coconut panna cota. It was light, creamy yet had a good crunch to it and had a nice blend of fresh berries (for those who love berries, do try this). It came with passion fruit sorbet (i particularly don't like passion fruit, would have been happier with a mango or tropical fruit sorbet) but overall the dessert was mind blowing! The freshness of the coconut flakes and almond flakes along with the berries and the coolness of coconut flavoured pannacota is just the tropical dessert we require in AZ heat!!! Our waiter was extremely kind, however, it was very understaffed that day (as we were told) so unfortunately, he was not very attentive. I asked for a refill on my water, which never came. Amazing, not a single complaint! Went here for my birthday dinner, 5 adults and 1 toddler/kid. Seated immediately upon arrival. Ordered cocktails, after we all had our first sip the bartender came over to check up and ensure we were all happy with ours. They explained what a kid option could be so he put that order in the same time as our cocktails. We then all ordered the pre fixe menu. All courses came out timed perfectly. Another server came over as our main meals were served and gave our kiddo a very "important" job to do so the adults could enjoy their meal (it was stamping in a notepad) and we all thought that was so helpful! All of our meals were hot and delicious and they explained every course too. The service here is A+. It's a drive for us to get there as we are in midtown Phoenix but it's 100% worth it! read more

For years, I've been mourning the loss of Curry Garden in Gilbert, convinced that truly great Indian food in the area was a thing of the past. So much so that I half-joked I'd need to leave the country just to get a proper meal. Then, I walked into this place--and the first good sign? The restaurant was packed with Indian customers. That's when I knew I was in for something promising. We ordered chicken biryani, butter chicken, garlic naan, and rice. The biryani? Fantastic. The rice was perfectly cooked, and the pastry covering on top locked in all the moisture, making the chicken incredibly tender. No dry, disappointing biryani here! The butter chicken was rich, flavorful, and just the right level of creamy goodness. And the naan? Fresh, garlicky, and perfect for scooping up every last bite. Yes, prices are on the higher side, but when a place doesn't skimp on spices (unlike so many disappointing spots that rely on salt instead of actual flavor), I'm happy to pay. That's what made Curry Garden so special back in the day--they got the spices right. This place takes it up a notch in atmosphere and presentation, and while it's almost at Curry Garden's level, it's close enough that I'll be back. Next time, I'm bringing friends. read more

I'm going to be honest I don't have a lot of reference to give a solid food review. We went to try something new and that's exactly what we got. Our food was delicious, so many wonderful flavors. My favorites of the night were the pomegranate glazed pork ribs, the chicken rara, and there was a dish similar to pani puri (Dari puri maybe?) on their summer menu that was delicious. They have a lovely wine selection and some nice cocktails to try with the food. The only issue was about halfway through the meal our server must have been overwhelmed because things got forgotten and took a long time to make it to the table. Finally got to try this modern Indian food restaurant. Interior is cute and cozy! We got to try Chai, fondue chicken, fried chicken with avocado sauce, and chicken biriyani. Chai was good, it was spicey enough to my liking. Fondue chicken was yummy, I really liked their fried chicken with avocado sauce. Chicken was tender yet crispy, and the avocado sauce was so good with the chicken. And biriyani was so good, there were plenty of chicken, and two chutneys- yogurt and curry, came with the rice was so flavorful. And what I really liked about their food is that it's less heavy and more on the lighter side then the traditional Indian food! Our waitress was friendly and checked on us when we needed! We are unable to provide a 5 star rating due to just a few but important factors. The server did not know the full menu, the coke was completely uncarbonated, the mango in the dessert was unripe and unflavorful and there was a pistachio shell in there as well. For entrees, I ordered the DUM CHICKEN BIRYANI which was served covered, under a seasoned fried bread, maybe like naan, but it was delicious!! We also ordered the JACKFRUIT TACOS which was probably my favorite, as I'd never tried jackfruit and the way the dish was prepared was incredible!!! Highly recommend trying. The jalapeño and cheese naan was super cheesy and spectacular!!! I would order this every time. The OLD DELHI BUTTER CHICKEN was also great. They had been out of a few of the items we had asked for, so the chef gave us complementary dessert. We tried the GULAB JAMUN CHEESECAKE which was decadent and tasty. Ambiance is very cute, not too casual, and not too fancy. The bar area is very pretty. Service was fantastic and the food came out quick. The food was amazing! The rock shrimp was perfectly fried with great flavor. The Malai kofta was also fantastic, great flavor with a little bit of a kick, but not too spicy. My husband enjoyed the chicken biryani; the portion was large. We finished with the gulab jamun cheesecake which was the perfect size to finish the meal. We will definitely be back! read more

Overall good experience. Went at 5PM on a wednesday and was able to get a table right away. Appetizer was delicious although a bit on the smaller side. Mango lassi was very unique, it had a floral taste and some texture to it. This probably is not a flattering description but it reminded me of soap? But in a good way! The chicken curry was decent, nice smokey chicken pieces. However, the chicken pieces were a bit too large for my liking. Wish they were cut a little smaller. Dessert was great as usual. I've been wanting to eat here since they opened and finally went last night. The food, service and atmosphere all were 10/10! Upon arrival, we were greeted, introduced to our server who really explained their menu in detail. We chose several small plates to share as starters but were surprised at how full we were! My favorite dish was by far the Feringhee's Chaat. The flavors and textures worked so well. All of the dishes were great. The Mango Lassi was refreshing and welcomed. If you get one starter I highly suggest their Chaat, mild spicy with amazing spices and flavor. The deep fried Shiso Leaves pair so well. You can't go wrong with any dish. If you have a milder palate, the Mirgh Malai Kebabs are perfect. The pistachios dusted on top really make this dish stand out. I will say we came on a Tuesday as I can see this place packed on a weekend night! They are enabled for online reservations. Definitely can't wait to come back and try more dishes! read more

I've had Feringhee on my list of places to try around the Phoenix area for some time, but it's quite a drive from our house so we hadn't made it out. However, a turn of events resulted in us visiting Scheels across the street right around lunch with a 1 year old in tow. We quickly discovered that Feringhee's vibes are not toddler vibes, so lunch was the right time to visit. This is a place to bring a date or a few close friends, and if you're coming for dinner, I get the feeling that reservations are definitely needed. Despite that, we had an excellent experience and our waiter was very accommodating (they do have high chairs!). The Vegetarian Lunch Thaali is like a curry sampler and was perfectly sized for two people (plus a baby?) to split if you get an extra rice on the side. It included a pleasant blend of spicy and mild curries, and each one was flavorful and unique. It's a great way to try out some of what the restaurant has to offer without committing to only one entrée. Can't wait to come try dinner! read more
