This is a review for their lunch buffet only. I used to come here when it was the older management team and wanted to try out the new spot. The food tasted really good and was warm too. The garlic naan was freshly brought to table. I tried almost all the dishes and there were lots of options. It's a normal Indian restaurant in terms of its menu and vibes. I give it a 4 because the mango lassi was watered down and so was the rose milk and chai. The goat wasn't fully cooked - at least the one bite I had. I had not been here since it was Chutney's, and I was pleasantly surprised. The buffet was uniformly good. I tried almost everything, and it was all very flavorful, no weak entrees. The rice was fluffy and well seasoned, the Naan was some of the best, it was crispy without being burned, and fluffy inside. They had a chai tea and also mango lasi as part of the buffet which were both quite good, and I had not seen that in a similar buffet before. The servers were attentive. There were a number of Indians eating there, so that is always a good sign. I would judge the spice levels to be on the milder side, although still a bit of kick to it, so very accessible to those not sure about how much heat they can handle. read more

Today we tried the newly rebranded Bombay House and it was a nice surprise! We had loved Pasand which operated there a long time ago, but once it became Chutney's, the food was just subpar. It was a pleasant surprise to see that the new iteration, Bombay House, had opened offering more flavorful fare for their lunch buffet! They had all of the classic Indian buffet dishes like tikka masala, butter chicken, lamb vindaloo, aloo gobi, dahl, saag paneer, etc! The aroma of the delicious curries hits you when you first pull into the parking lot and the fun begins there. They also have mango lassi prepared on tap for the buffet, which is a nice little treat! I look forward to going again to see if they change up the buffet offerings. I would love to try some punjab eggplant or some other yummy veggie options, if they offer some, on future visits! The garlic naan was super delicious and plentiful! The service staff were very attentive with bringing naan, refilling waters and clearing plates and checking in with us, which is also a nice treat when dining out at a buffet! If you had been before this restaurant changed hands, I highly recommend that you try it again and you will be most certainly delighted! Staff was very friendly and the food for the most part tasted great with a typical variety for an indian food buffet. However, one of the dishes was not at temp (cold center of the meat), leaving several of us ill the next day. Also, the restaurant looked like it could use a deep clean; there were various food splatters on the walls all over that looked like they'd been there for some time which always worries me about cleanliness of the kitchen if the booth looks like that. With a bit of improvement this place has a lot of potential, but we wouldn't risk going back. read more

The food is amazing and fresh bright and flavorful. I'm obsessed with their customer service. Variety is unmatched for a buffet. Quality is best I've had in a while. If you are on the fence, don't be! Great chance to really try like 16 different types of Indian and on weekends they add a street food section on top of it. We sit down and got fresh garlic butter naan for the table, after walking through we came back with a plate of like eight different things including all the chutneys and fresh cut cucumbers and salad. I've resisted reviewing this restaurant for a few months now because they already seem to have plenty of happy patrons! But I know, that's not very fair! This is the best Indian buffet in the valley no doubt. I've enjoyed it three different times and it's been consistently delicious. The three different chicken are all delicious - curry, tiki masala and tandoori and they even have a very respectable lamb vindaloo! We came for our first time a few weeks ago....a Saturday night date night. One of the owners (I assume) greeted us warmly and strongly encouraged the buffet....it looked lovely. Clean, neat, organized. She stayed close to answer any questions.... The buffet had a beautiful appetizer table, chai tea and refreshment table and the huge buffet of everything that is on their menu. A gentleman (assume the husband owner) came to our table to take drink order. I was interested in a cocktail...I asked for a suggestion and he suggested an Indian rum cocktail....the only other cocktails they make are margaritas. I Took the rum drink. It was very sweet but tasty. We found all of the dishes very bland and lacked flavor. They did not have the usual condiments to doctor anything up, The butter chicken, however, was very flavorful. The complimentary garlic naan bread was delicious. My hubby ordered a sprite when I ordered cocktail...we had to ask twice before he got it and no refills were offered. They have servers that are very good about keeping water filled. After we went to the buffet and sat down to eat...the lovely restaurant began to fill up. Lots and lots of families...big families. It was great to see so many families of all ethnicities sharing the Indian delights...lots and lots of very young children...we were a bit surprised.... They even allow families to bring their small dogs in the restaurant....was very surprised at that... This turned out to not be the date night we were hoping for....food was meh at best....lots of crying children...both of us had kids kicking the back of our booths for the duration....little dog next to us began barking...service declined pretty quick... Then we got the bill......now it became very clear....if memory serves, the buffet was only $15....perfect spot to bring families....very very affordable for dinner for a family...not spicy so accommodates kids brilliantly. I AM A RETIRED EXECUTIVE CHEF and I never write these however, I tried their lunch buffet. It was fantastic. All the standards were present i.e. dal, potato sabji, Aloo Gobi, pakora, vindaloo, tikka masala, Korma, Palak paneer, biryani rice etc. all fresh and perfectly made. The owners are exceptionally friendly and the cost was only 8$ per pound. The garlic naan comes complimentary with the buffet at no additional expense.
