Also extremely family and dog friendly, but also has pool tables, darts patio and everything you'd want from a bar where you wouldn't expect to be "family friendly!" Really solid wings! We stopped in before a Diamondbacks game to grab a quick bite and we're glad we did. It is a dive bar but don't let that fool you, this place is worth checking out. They were voted Best Wings in Phoenix and after trying them, I can see why. The wings go through a three-step cooking process: baked, fried, then finished on the grill. I ordered the house specialty, the Whitney Wings, which are a mix of Sweet Thai Chili, Cajun, and Garlic. Such a great combo, and the wings came out crispy, juicy and full of flavor. I think I finally found the neighborhood bar I've been searching for! The beer was perfectly cold and poured just right. We ordered four PedalHouse Day Drinker drafts--super refreshing and reasonably priced at $6.50. We came in on Wing Wednesday, so wings were $4 off each order (huge win!). I tried to get the sriracha tater tots, but they were sold out... which just means I have to come back. The vibe was great from the moment we walked in. The music was fun and diverse 90s/2000s hip-hop, a bit of country, and some easy-listening mixed in throughout the night. For food, we went with the 1 lb order of wings (8 wings), split half Buffalo Hot and half Whitney sauce. Big shoutout to them for serving cucumber and celery instead of carrots, such a refreshing touch! The Buffalo Hot leaned more mild than expected, but still tasty. The Whitney wings were the standout for me: sweet with a little kick. Definitely want to come back and try more flavors. Fun after work bar with cheap drinks and a great atmosphere. We came on a Friday which was music trivia night and it was a wonderful and loud experience. Everyone in the bar was extremely involved in the trivia and karaoke. The bar gave devil themed swag and gave over a handful of people prizes for the Trivia. Our waitress was extremely nice and every staff member we met added to the positive experience. The service was a little slow and sometimes hard to find our waitress, but that was most likely due to the fact of how busy everything was. The only concern I saw while there was that my friend received their drink and the glass rim was chipped (missing a big piece) pretty noticeably, luckily someone else in our group caught it right away. Our waitress was really nice and apologetic about it and quickly had the drink re-made. My daughter recommended this spot. A nice casual spot with plenty of TVs, a couple of pool tables and great bar seating. Greeted by our bartender/server. She was nice, friendly and attentive. We ordered a pitcher of Blue Moon. I love that they included a few orange slices. We ordered the rosemary French fries and their artichoke in spinach dip with tortilla chips. I enjoyed the rosemary french fries, I really didn't care much for the artichoke and spinach dip. It was more of a textural thing for me. We ordered a jalapeño popper burger, and it came with french fries. The jalapeño burger was really good. The burger was perfectly cooked, the jalapeños added just the perfect amount of heat. This neighborhood bar and grill is great. Friendly staff with great food and drinks. Not too loud of a crowd. There are a couple of pool tables inside that I'm going to have take advantage of on my next visit. My sister and I wanted something good and quick to eat but nothing from a fast food restaurant. We were on the way home from catching a movie and decided to stop here. We sat at the bar and had a nice experience. Our bartender was really cool. She made some good drinks and was tending to us and everyone else like a champ. The queso and cheese and Buffalo Chicken wrap with onion rings hit the spot for what we were craving. My girlfriend and I had been hearing about how this place had soft serve margaritas, which sounded awesome on a hot summer day like last Saturday, so we decided to meet here since it's between both our places. We stopped in after I got off work, and sat at the bar & got the pineapple soft serve margs, which the bartender lady had told us were $5 each. We thought that was a good deal so we ordered a second round. We also put in a food order for some of their wings, which I've been hearing raving reviews about. I ordered 6 of their Whitney wings and she ordered the Garlic parm wings. Hers were a bit salty for my liking but they weren't bad. The Whitney wings, on the other hand, were incredible! The char on them was great but not substantial, and the flavor from the sauce had my mouth watering. These wings were pretty easy for me to break apart and tear the bones out before dunking the chicken hide into my ranch cup, and I devoured them so quickly. We were very satisfied with the food and the bar was very extensive and had a rather large selection of liquor to choose from. Plenty of beer and seltzers for those looking for that sort of thing as well. Would come back here for the wings again and the soft serve, my only real complaint stems from the bill coming out, which revealed the soft serve margaritas to be $32 for the 4 we ordered, which were $8 a piece, over a $10 different than what it would've been had the bartender not lied to us about the pricing of the singular item. Not sure if she was mistaken or if she had blatantly told us a cheaper price so as to keep us buying more of them, but it threw me off a bit for sure. Regardless it was very good and I'm sure we'll be back, but that's what's holding me back from giving this place 5 stars, unfortunately. read more

The gin drink that's on their special had a splash of Hendricks. It was tasty but the 2nd order was terrible. Tasted bitter and these drinks were $12 a piece not sure if it was HH price or not. The Spinach dip had too much Spinach not enough cheese and flavor was blah. The grilled Cobb salad was good they had good ranch dressing. The mozzarella stick was blah. For the food itself, the "Whitney" wings are a must get for the tangy seasoning combination along side savory flavor of the grill on the chicken. 100% no doubt in my mind, wings are the necessary order here no matter what you like. I also tried out the Chipotle Chicken salad, it was decent but I didn't like the sauce. Chicken was an okay portion but the breading had less flavor than what I prefer (still alright just preference). Next time I stop in, I want to try the mango habenero wings. Looking forward to coming in on a less busy night just because that's my fancy, but it was cool to witness the games go down where they do have prizes like raffles/gift cards. On May 29th, a group of friends and I stopped by Brick & Barley for drinks while waiting for another friend to join us. We were seated on the patio after having dinner at the Chinese restaurant next door. One member of our group still felt hungry and briefly opened his takeout container from the neighboring restaurant. A waitress approached us and explained that outside food was not permitted due to health code regulations. We immediately put the food away and complied with the request. My friend then asked for a menu because he intended to order food from Brick & Barley, but no menu was ever brought to our table. After some time had passed, he took another bite of the food. At that point, a second waitress approached our table in a very aggressive manner. She stated that we had been warned multiple times and informed us that we needed to leave immediately. The situation became frustrating because we had just purchased another round of drinks. I apologized, secured the food, and assured her it would not happen again. I simply asked that we be allowed to finish the drinks we had just paid for before leaving. Instead of attempting to resolve the issue calmly, the interaction escalated further in front of other patrons. I respectfully asked that the conversation be handled more discreetly, but the employee continued speaking loudly and confrontationally. Security was eventually called, and our group felt pressured to quickly finish our drinks and leave. I understand and respect a business's policy regarding outside food, and we complied when it was first brought to our attention. My disappointment is not with the policy itself but with how the situation was handled. A calm, professional conversation could have resolved the matter without embarrassment or escalation. Unfortunately, the customer service we experienced that evening left a very negative impression. read more

My wife and I along with our daughter, son in law, two young grandchildren and our dog sat ourselves on the patio at 5:30. My daughter immediately went in and let the staff know we were on the patio. After approximately 10-12 minutes, she and my wife went in and got waters for everybody. Five minutes later, my wife went in and asked if they were offering service on the patio. One of the staff members said yes and that she would be right out. About 10 minutes later with no sign of any staff we got up and left. Before you overreact, the place was not even half full. We waited 20 minutes for a server when we got there and when we tried to go to the bar, we were ignored. Once we were served they were pleasant but we were only checked on once. Visited this place on a Friday night and unfortunately, I ended up getting food poisoning. I ordered a 12 piece wing (it appears that they were cooked thoroughly), but their beer was flat and may have been bad. I always wash my hands before every meal. So I am unsure if it was from expired beer or mishandled chicken, but I will never be returning because of this experience. I am unfortunately still recovering at the time of this review. The service was dreadfully slow and it took forever to get our check back. As for the inside, the place appears to be a little dirty and could use some tidying up. The owners were out during the football game and were so much fun! The staff was helpful and very attentive! The inside of the bar is pretty good size. It's dark, which is expected for a bar and has a few pool tables! The menu is good as well. They have "almost" famous wings that are really delicious. I believe baked then fried then grilled... Received my order after 20 minutes despite placing order an hour before but again understandably so being busy. The wings were enticing the second they come into your radius. Smell was luring and overall appeal of the wings seemed perfectly grilled. The meat was tender and comes off easily and the sauces are the real winners here. The lemon peppers were grilled with some charring adding to smokey taste but those Whitney Wings were out of this world. Unable to pin point exactly, almost like they have a category of their own. Stopped in for lunch today, for the first time. I was immediately greeted, and found a seat. My waitress was very helpful and answered my questions about the beer and food selections. Great cold draft beer, which I expect and my hamburger and fries were amazing. Ordered the mushroom swiss burger, cooked exactly as I requested. The rosemary fries were outstanding. The settings is comfortable, they do allow families during the day. Couple of pool tables and lots of TVs. Even a few kid toys!
