We discovered The Brass Tap while looking for a place with diverse food & drink options between my place in Gilbert and my parents' place in East Mesa. It's located within the Cooley Station shopping center off Recker and Williams Field. There were 6 of us on a Sunday night and we still able to be seated right away as they put two 4-top tables together (due to mobility issues for some party members we couldn't use the high-top tables). The restaurant is smaller inside than expected...they have a long bar with an estimated 12-16 seats and then mostly 6-person tables filling the rest of the floor. Even with the tighter seating quarters, the noise level was fine as we were easily able to hear each other talk. Their food menu has the staples you'd expect from a pub- wings, salads, burgers, pizzas, sandwiches and a few other entrees. We all ordered different items and most everyone enjoyed their meal. My youngest got the Asian BBQ chicken sandwich and it was so wet he struggled to eat it. My Caeser salad was average...could have used more parmesan and had black pepper available. They have a large beer selection with at least 60 beers on tap, and many more beers available in bottles. I tried a local hefeweizen from the tap and it hit the spot. They have plenty of TVs for watching sports...the NCAA games were on and it was enjoyable watching the actions while dining. Their prices were equitable to other similar establishments and we liked the location as it's pretty low-key. Overall, this is a good place for food, drinks and fun. read more

Absolutely horrible experience. They wouldn't let me add a spicy margarita to my flight, even for an up charge, but had no problem, bringing me a side of sliced jalapeños. My tacos had several chunks of parchment paper in them from the impossible meat. And the bottle of hot sauce they brought me had an expiration date of almost 4 years prior and had mold in the bottle. I server , who I may say for being the only one for both inside and out was decent on time but the attitude of this girl which we've dealt with before was horrendous . Read a review from someone else and had the same experience she would not allow you to change anything she has the IT IS WHAT IT IS attitude , we asked for tots instead of fries (which we've away done) and it was a NO!! We stopped in on a Saturday night and it was busy. It is in a neighborhood atmosphere that feels both relaxed and upscale. Located in Verde at Cooley Station. This is the second location in the Valley, but currently the only one open. Brass Tap has a lot of options on tap (over 60 beers on TAP, over 60 in bottles). Large bar area with many seats. Ty was a bartender & server. He was great. Had their hot honey pizza. It's really good, great in price and for the size two could share. My husband and I split the All American Pub Burger. It was cooked to a good medium as we requested. It was decent in flavor and again price was reasonable. One of my favorite happy hours in the east valley. A highlight is their indoor/outdoor feel, especially on those perfect Arizona days. Amazing spot for a friends' hangout. We sat outside on a beautiful day, the service was quick, and the food was delicious. Our waitress Gabby was incredibly friendly and down-to-earth, we loved her so much we had to include her in our group photo. I also love that the restaurant has a bulletin board near the bathroom to support small businesses and local events. Wanted to try something new and saw some good reviews from The Brass Tap so figured we would give it a shot. Walking in the place was pretty busy but the patio was empty. It was quite warm outside so we were hoping the misters were working. They were but it was still kind of warm. After sitting out there for just over 15 minutes we were not so much as greeted by anybody. Tired of waiting we went inside and grabbed a seat. This ignorant guy that works there with an accent and white hair walks up with a big smile stating, "awe, was it too hot out there for you?" And started laughing. I simply stated, "no, we just got tired of waiting for service". Instantly his face grew serious and stated with attitude, "oh she was just going to come out there". I can't say I believed him. The waitress that did help us seemed to be zipping around the room helping more than was probably her responsibility but she kept checking on us. All the while that "other" guy stood by the food window smiling at everybody not bothering to lift a finger to help out the crowded room and overworked wait staff. The food was good. Not the best but certainly not the worst. It was a good experience but I can't really say I see myself going back. Our server was sweet and attentive, and the vibe was pretty chill. I ordered a sangria, and unfortunately, it was horrible. I was able to get it replaced with an espresso martini that was much better. My hubby was impressed with their whiskey selection considering they mostly specialize in beer. The Brass Tap is great! It's quickly become one or our go-to local spots in Gilbert. Whether we're stopping in for drinks, dinner, or to catch a game, always hits the spot! The location is awesome. Right in Cooley Station, plus a park right in front of it, makes it really easy to bring kids and sit out on the patio. Overall, it's on the smaller side inside. Plenty of bar seating but the high tops go quick. Their patio wraps around and has a good amount of seating though. It can be tough to find seating depending when you're coming, that'd be my only knock. They have a good size menu with a solid variety of options. Definitely recommend their pizzas and wings. Recently tried their Hot Honey Pepperoni pizza and it was delicious! Their wings are cooked perfectly as well. This is a perfect spot to grab a drink. Huge drink menu and over 40 beers on tap. The restaurant features numerous TVs both indoors and on the patio, creating a comfortable and laid-back atmosphere. The service is fast and friendly. I have sampled a handful of dishes here, from pretzel bites and brussels sprouts to cod tacos and fried shrimp. The food is decent. Although I have yet to try their pizza, I have read great reviews about it. As for drinks, I usually opt for their spicy margaritas, which are well-balanced with a satisfying kick. I think it would be beneficial to have some lower top seating or booths as there were only two standard in the corner near the bathrooms. We wanted to take our elderly friend, but getting up on a high top is impossible for him. Luckily, our server was knowledgable and was able to recommend a good IPA for what I was looking for. Food menu was pretty basic for a spots bar type vibe. From its original opening, this place has unfortunately gone downhill a bit. The restaurants setup is great for gatherings and game watching, and their beer selection is top notch. The bartenders are typically friendly and knowledgeable, although I have had a tender or two that would engage in uncomfortably unprofessional conversation with customers and employees while behind the bar. What has really been a disappointed during my recent visits is the food quality. I'm not sure if they changed to a different supplier or something, but the quality of ingredients and the care in preparing each dish they offer has bee abysmal as of late. I live nearby and still go frequently, but typically only for a few drinks and fries or something simple because the food has been that disappointing recently.
