Food: Food was okay. I ordered the Honey Hot Pepperoni pizza, chips & queso and chicken tenders for my son. I was pretty disappointed they don't have a kids menu. Spending $14 on some chicken tenders wasn't was I was planning on unfortunately. Seeings how Gilbert is very family oriented, I would love to see a kids menu - even if a small selection - added to the menu. The tenders were good. Similar to raising canes. The pizza was unique and delicious. I could tell the crust was freshly made. Only downfall was I ordered extra ricotta and couldn't taste it one bit. Other than that, very yummy. The queso was almost $9 so for that price I would expect a little pizzazz with the appearance. It felt like they heated up some queso and threw it in a little dish and called it a day. Chips weren't hot either. Just needs something to make it worth $9 IMO. Service: The staff was great. Kind. Welcoming. Even took their time with my talkative 9 year old. The meal came out to the table a bit out of sync. She stated they were having issues with the cheese for the pizza but I got my chips and queso after my sons food so not sure what happened there. Maybe just working out the kinks since it's still freshly new. A few other fixes would help out the establishment- larger to go pizza boxes. I had to stuff my pizza in their small box. It worked. But for the price I'm paying, getting smushed pizza for left overs isn't ideal. And lastly, the table and chairs were very uncomfortable. I wasn't at a high top so those might be different but for the regular tables, they are flimsy. The table rocked and it wasn't from the legs, but from the table top. The chairs make me feel like I'm in a waiting room - uncomfortable. With all that said, the negatives mentioned are just my personal perspective. Some might not care about these things, but I do! They are also new so things I'm sure are always changing. I look forward to trying them back out in a few months to see if anything has changed and it will probably be during happy hour to save on the prices! read more

Found this little gem during a quick trip down to Gilbert. We appreciate that they were open late and even had an amazing reverse Happy Hour! The atmosphere was lively..good music...clean and welcoming etc. The BEST part was the bartender, Alex! He was very friendly and attentive. He offered great suggestions for food and drinks and HANDS DOWN MADE ME THE BEST MARTINI OF MY LIFE!!! Be sure to try his Key Lime Martini! So GOOD!! From its original opening, this place has unfortunately gone downhill a bit. The restaurants setup is great for gatherings and game watching, and their beer selection is top notch. The bartenders are typically friendly and knowledgeable, although I have had a tender or two that would engage in uncomfortably unprofessional conversation with customers and employees while behind the bar. What has really been a disappointed during my recent visits is the food quality. I'm not sure if they changed to a different supplier or something, but the quality of ingredients and the care in preparing each dish they offer has bee abysmal as of late. I live nearby and still go frequently, but typically only for a few drinks and fries or something simple because the food has been that disappointing recently. I think their menu is due for a significant revamp and soon. I really hope they turn a corner because I enjoy the vibes and love having a local bar right outside my doorstep to support. read more

Been here a few times and they are always accommodating whether there is 4 or 10 of us. The fish and chips, chicken tenders and brisket grilled cheese are all super yummy. The patio is nice when the weather is. Can get a little loud inside, but it's a bar so it's expected. Great place to get a bite to eat. read more

So i have seen this place before it opened up and I was very curios about it but I waited for some time to allow the crowds to go through, not a big fan of waiting. So we went on the week and i was quite surprised. We walked in and we were greeted really fast and told to sit anywhere we would like. Chairs are comfy, had to say that because some places, new chairs or booths are needed but I won't go into the details there. The server that we had was the only one on the floor and jokingly we told her that we would make her job hard, she had fun with us and played along. The Beer selection is massive! I was able to find a beer that i have never had and really enjoyed. It was the Hofbrau Dunkel, reminded me of Yuengling beer from Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. Yuengling has a bitter taste, but this beer was dark like Yuengling but smooth. Recommend to try it, we're worth it! For the food that we ordered, My son got the plain ol' chicken tenders and fries. Basic but they were not the freezer style looked hand breaded and home made so they were pretty good. He enjoyed them with their barbecue sauce. Which I tasted and it was yummy!!! My wife got the Fish and chips, she ate the whole thing and i was lucky enough to get a little piece and the piece that I had was awesome. Lite flaky and yummy. I am not a fan usually but this was good. I had the Craft your own pizza and made a Chicken Bacon Ranch pizza. When it cam out i was a little confused about the size and the cuts for it but I quickly realized that they had cut it into small pieces and the chees and ranch melted back together. It was yummy. Chicken a little Chris's like a like it and the bacon yeah it was just all together good. I highly recommend this place. looks like it would be a great home town bar like Cheers. We decided to give The Brass Tap a try after not being able to get into a neighboring restaurant, and it was a nice surprise. We had never been before even though they have several locations around the Valley and have been open in Gilbert since December. They had lots of open seating indoors, a huge outdoor area, although it was dead since it's very hot out right now, so we sat at the bar. The bar itself had tons of TVs so I am sure it's a great place to watch when there's games on. Alex, the bartender took care of us. He was knowledgeable, made some suggestions and had a nice conversation. We are not craft beer people, but saw they have a huge selection. That being said, they also had regular beers and bottles and a great drink menu in general I felt. My husband ordered a bloody Mary and I ordered the Spicy Rita which was delicious. It almost tasted skinny because they use fresh lemon and lime juices with organic agave nectar so for me it was the perfect refreshing cocktail on a hot day. For a starter, we tried the boom, boom shrimp, a recommendation from Alex and they were tempura beer, battered shrimp, tossed in this spicy sauce and cooked perfectly with a nice crisp . We also tried the Honey Hot Pepperoni pizza. Again, cooked well with crust not too thick, but not thin. We were in on a Sunday but I did see they have happy hour Monday through Friday from 3 pm to 6pm and even a reverse happy hour on Friday and Saturday nights starting at 9 PM so worth a try if looking for some deals. Hubby & I tried this place for the first time tonight. Service was great. I didn't catch our waitress name. Food was okay. The cheese curds were really good. Hubby didn't like the pizza crust. He loves pizza, but says he wouldn't get a pizza there again. The place is way too loud. You can't even hear yourself think. Stopped in to check this spot out before going to the movies. Arrived around 620 and only had to wait about 6mins for a table. The seating inside had long high top tables and a few small 2tops and the patio outside has plenty of seating wrapping around the side. Hubby ordered the smoked pork quesadilla and I got the impossible burger no bun with a side salad. The quesadilla was cheesy and the pork was well flavored and tasty. Even having the app as a meal, it was still pretty filling. The burger was nothing special but the side salad came out with bacon on it so I had to send it back to ask for a fresh one. I did like that it was spring mix greens and not just iceberg, and it had finely diced tomatoes which was a pleasant plus for a side salad. Food was ok and nothing really exceptional (but we also ordered more on the boring side). There was an event on the plaza outside to the place was packed. Our server seemed dismissive and almost annoyed with our questions about the menu or even asking for extra silverware, and she was curt in her responses. But the rest of the staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful, so maybe she was just having a rough day or had to deal with bad customers before we got there. We may come back with friends next time and explore more of the menu to give it a second chance as it seems like it's more of a place to come with a group to hang out and drink/eat together. read more

We popped in here on a busy Friday night - we got seated quickly. Our server was attentive and friendly! The place was super loud. They had a great long beer list - our server let me taste a few (they charged for each taster) before deciding on my pint. The food was meh... we shared loaded tots but they came out as pretty standard bar loaded tots. Lacking quality ingredients and interesting flavor. Plenty of parking. So I was really excited to try this spot because of how amazing the location is and the flexibility of sitting on the patio while the kids run around in the greenbelt/park. There was no hostess or seating direction other than feel free to grab whatever table, which i'm 100% okay with. We didn't see anyone for about 5-10 minutes (no menus, or any drink offerings). I ended up having to go get menus for myself which still isn't the end of the world for me just a note about the service. We ended up being helped be several people after that and there seemed to be some confusion on some of the initial items (extra napkins, water). So while none of these things individually are a big deal, several small things added up start to equal not the best first impression. Ended up getting three drinks amongst the adults (2 beers and a cocktail). I tried all three and the cocktail was a cucumber vodka concoction that was okay but nothing noteworthy, and one of the beers tasted very stale/skunky. For food we ordered: buffalo wings, pretzel, shrimp basket, avocado burger, and the sweeter grilled cheese. The wings were great bar wings, super crispy and flavorful with a lot of meat on the bones. The pretzel tasted like a frozen pretzel that was cut up and served, nothing exciting about it and would not order again. The burgers we pretty good but a little on the salty side with all the included ingredients, side note, they didn't ask cooking temps for the burger which to me implies a "get what you get" style for cooking temps. The grilled cheese was really good and had a nice balance. The shrimp basket was large and the shrimp were really good as well as the crinkle fries. Overall, the food was decent with some options better than others. By the end of the meal service had picked up and had improved from the start. Overall, I think there is a lot of room for improvement and I am going to wait a bit and give them another try because this can be a really great spot if they can fix the few small issues. read more

Happy to see they opened a location in the East Valley. Nice area with lots of things around. The inside isn't too large but they also have a patio. They have a good sized menu with all sorts of pub fare like salads, nachos, pretzels, burgers, chicken tenders. Came here on a Friday afternoon and it was pretty lively but we were able to be seated fairly quickly. They have indoor and outdoor seating. We got the margarita flight, beer flight, ranch water cocktail, and a couple of their draft beers. For food we got pizza and wings which were ok. They have an extensive beer and cocktail selection and plenty of TVs to catch up on sports. Service was pretty slow, we had to find a waiter after waiting for some time with no service. Service continued to be slow for the rest of the night but the waiter was friendly and attentive when he came around. We were super excited to try out this place! Pro: Waitress was Ahhhmazing. Environment was comfortable with multiple seating placements. They tell you when you come in to pick your place to sit. It's all open seating. The food was fantastic. We opted for the pretzels, jalapeno burger, brisket grilled cheese with brussel sprouts and chicken wrap. No one at the table was disappointed. They have a great beer selection and mixed drinks. Cons: Beer was not at temp and the glasses were warm. My father thought the mixed drinks was very weak for the cost. No kids menu and our 8 year old was very displeased there was no chocolate milk Manager came to our table and recognized the food was taking longer than expected. This place is fairly new and extremely disappointing. The beer and cider tasted good, but I expect cold glasses. The food was terrible, and that's being nice. I got sick immediately when I got home. My boyfriend got sick that night and is still having stomach issues 2 days later. We didn't even eat the same food! I even asked before ordering, and the waitress told me the lava cake was good. I ordered Brussels sprouts with balsamic and bacon. It came in a cold cast iron skillet. Awesome keeping with a great tradition and especially using Lodge, an American brand. The skillet was cold so the food was only presented in it. But the skillet was covered in rust, inside and bottom. I ordered for myself and my 1 year old son. I'm from the south and appreciate cast iron especially with a blemish or two. This had a complete ring of oxide I was able to scrub off with my finger. I sent the dish back and that was it. The item was removed from my bill. 15 minutes later someone, not sure his role but British maybe came and asked me what's wrong and I showed the picture below and asked " what is that" he said it's a skillet mate. No kidding I'm talking about the rust. Initially my waitress said it was from an orange cauliflower seasoning, this gentleman said it was from the wash and its seasoning. And I don't know what I'm talking about because they passed health inspection. Long story short m. Don't go there you will over pay for mediocre food and you will be served with rusty cast iron that wasn't even used in the process to make themselves look better. read more

The food here is mediocre at best. I had the boneless chicken wings with a side of brussels sprouts. The brussels sprouts were the best part of my meal. The boneless chicken wings tasted like they were from a frozen bag, which they probably were. The service was the worst I have experienced in a long time. We basically had to beg for whatever we needed, be at utensils, napkins, food we ordered that we didn't get, and so forth. With my boneless chicken wings, I received the tiniest little cup of ranch dressing. When I asked for some more ranch dressing, I was charged for it! I was astounded that I was charged for a little side of extra ranch when what they gave me was surely not considered enough for the wings that I had. In addition to that the waitress completely screwed up our bills. I went with a friend and we asked for separate bills. She had stuff that I ordered on her bill and stuff that she ordered on my bill, it was a complete mess. I will never, ever return to this place. Heed my warning and stay away. read more

The service was excellent overall from start to 3/4 of the way through the evening and the. It came to checking out which was a process. This place advertises 25% off of your bill but didn't give it to us because the waitress said it has to be anytime between 1-3pm it has to be used so make sure you read the discount as it doesn't say that on this application of YELP until you're ready to check out. Hmmmm. Well anyways. Good food, good beer, not the coldest beer I have had btw but decent taste and crafted beer. The fountain soda was syrupy and wasn't what you would expect from a tap house. I think 4 stars because the place is new and can look to become a 5 star if their young staff didn't stand around so much on their phones and standing together in a group.
