I like the atmosphere here.. with the outside seating and the parrots... the only thing I had to take couple of stars aways was even though my waiter was nice.. it took him forever to bring me a box back.. and it wasn't even busy yet.. I think I waited like 15 mins and he kept saying "I'm bringing it I'm bringing it.." ‍..

Very happy food was delicious! Beers are ice cold. Bartender's friendly and knowledgeable. Ambience I question right now. I walk in and there's music playing that has nothing but the n-word over and over and over and over and over. I put $10 in the jukebox to play some music and once it stopped... Music with N word over and over and over and over. This is my opinion but I do not care for that whatsoever. Everybody else may love it! I don't... So I put some more money in the jukebox to cover it up. Finish my beer and got an order of wings to go and left. It's probably just a me thing, I don't care to listen to music that repeats that word over and over and over. Until next time I'll see you guys soon!

This was one of the most weirdest dining experience. I got there at 6:30ish for dinner and Jack Trivia that started at 7. This was my first time at this restaurant and was meeting some friends here. When I arrived, I was the first one from my group and there were no tables available. The place is tiny and had maybe 10 or so high top tables and then the bar top area around the bar. When I arrived there was nobody to greet and a sign that said to seat yourself. I couldn't even figure out who the waitstaff was for several minutes and then had to walk around to find someone and ask them about a table. They told me we could sit outside and that there were tvs out there and then later we were told tvs couldn't get the trivia but that we could move the tables as we saw fit. Let's just say, we moved them and I am very confident it was a fire or safety hazard where we moved them so we could be seen by waitstaff and see the tvs inside. Then when we ordered, the waitress seemed not the nicest and I asked her what she recommended for food and she had this attitude and looked at me weird for asking and told me this was not fine dining and it was just typical bar food. I find this odd to talk to a customer like this, but at least she was honest, right? I will not be dining here again due to the lack of space. The trivia was a blast and I'll try that at another location.

The same people that own The Perch in Chandler opened this place in Gilbert! They only opened 3 weeks ago. They have updated and elevated the ambiance from the prior owners. You have to try the warm winter night.

Went in with low expectations after reading other reviews. We were pleasantly surprised! Didn't realize the Perch had recently opened at this location that used to be Flying Basset. Servers were attentive and friendly. We enjoyed our beers and the serving of tots was generous. I'm sure we'll be back since it's within walking distance.

Music is always on pointe and I would never change the look or ambiance of the place either. My last trip here though I had to ask about why the menu had stopped changing as often since we were one of two parties there in the middle of happy hour and there was a large framed picture of a bartender with a bunch of signed notes on the bottom of it beside me at the bar. It turns out that one of the oldest curators and bartenders of the bar and restaurant had passed from a drunk driving incident and I had not known at all! Gosh I was so disappointed in myself that I had ever complained about not having a new menu to try after that...but at the same time it was amazing to hear so many great anecdotes and to learn so much more about him and the history of the bar itself while dining this time. I had a lot of fun times at this bar - including remembering the first time I met that bartender and sharing that memory with the staff that told me their story. They also shared that they would be coming out with a new menu very soon and some of the new items and ideas that would be rolling out so I am also very excited to go back! New food menu tomorrow too?! What?! I was almost tempted to back today to get more of their amazing dishes from the main menu!! Thank you Cat for the amazing hospitality! One thing to note is that the nachos are potato chips and not tortilla chips so it might not be something you prefer. The toppings were plenty and tasty. The guys ate it so fast while we were chatting. We ordered multiple different style and flavor old fashions and the menu will indicate if the it comes with an add on like cookie or bacon with a little icon. The cookies were all fantastic! The bacon was tasty but a little bit soggy and not crispy for my taste. But the fat and savor of the bacon really works well with the sweet old fashioned choices. The sweet cookie works well with the less sweet and more tart options. It's pretty smart. Our server, Hanna was very attentive with food, drinks and waters and also very upbeat. Definitely not a dull place to get a drink at all. People seemed to be having a good time and enjoying the cozy feel of the bar. I would recommend this place if you're in downtown Chandler for cocktails and drinks and you don't want to stand all night and prefer to sit and chat.

It kind of feels like forever because there's nowhere to go and could create a little bit of potential claustrophobia/panic for people who may be sensitive to those types of environments. The drink menu was good but I really wasn't wowed. They did offer three mocktails which wasn't really impressive and the cocktails did include a variety of liquors and flavor profiles but again, wasn't as extensive or interesting as some other speakeasies around town. The food menu was very disappointing - a lot of dairy and bread - pretzels with cheese, flatbread, queso with chips, and "rabbit food" - hummus with bread and vegetables. We asked to have all vegetables instead of bread and they did accommodate with a generous helping of full-size rainbow carrots and cherry tomatoes. We actually ran out of hummus before we could finish the vegetables. I understand elevated pricing for the aesthetic/experience but I did think the pricing here was a little bit high for what was received.

We honestly weren't expecting to be this impressed with the food! They also have fun themed cocktails, along with NA beer, which was a nice option. Isaac, the retail manager, greeted us right away and explained how everything worked. The way the games are organized into categories helped us figure out where to start, and the little staff-pick labels were especially helpful for narrowing down our choices.
