    Amazing pita sandwich!
    Sue B.

We came here on a Friday night about 7:00pm because of the great Yelp reviews! I have to say we agree with them! We had a gyro pita and a gyro pita plate. They were the best we've ever had! We can't wait to go again. You order at the counter and they bring the food out. The prices are reasonable and the portions are large! Everyone here is so friendly! Our new "go to" place for gyro pitas.

Great lunch spot, the pita and falafel here are both delicious!! I love that they have a drive thru too!

Everyone here is so friendly and the food is great I don't get by that side of town often but when I do, I have to stop here The food is so good. The price is reasonable.

So good - yummm! We tried their drive through tonight. Food came just as hot and fresh as if we were sitting inside.

Great food - full of flavor! Tried their drive through - will do it again. Prompt, friendly service with little wait. Food just as fresh and hot as though served inside.

Excellent food and customer service. Played great music. Nice and bright in restaurant.

2/24/24: good food, clean restaurant, attentive & friendly servers, decently priced. Their hummus was smooth, creamy, and well flavored; same with the tzatziki. The only thing I was not happy about was the pita that came out with the hummus appetizer - sure it was store bought (flat and thin). Yet when we asked for some to take home (we had hummus leftover), that pita was thicker and fluffier (the way it should be!). Would we return to Pita Island? Not likely, but only because we live on the west side of the valley. The food was not so excellent to warrant the drive. If we lived closer, yes we would return.

Ask the Community - Pita Island

Do you use seed oils for the food / fries?

    Hi, we use canola oil.

Are there any gluten free options?

Yes there are. I recall seeing them posted on the windows at the drive thru - check their site, I'm sure they are listed.

I see they have Greek fries however no description of what's on them; what are the fries covered with to make them Greek?

Hi, Our Pita Island Greek Fries contain a special garlic sauce made from fresh garlic cloves (not dry powder) and herbs the fries are topped off with freshly chopped parsely,… Read more

Even though they were busy, we were seated quickly and everyone we interacted with was polite, attentive, and accommodating. We were actually on a pretty tight schedule, so having the food come out fast without sacrificing quality made a huge difference. You can tell the staff genuinely cares about the experience. My wife ordered the toast with eggs sunny side up and bacon, and the bacon was phenomenal. Crispy, flavorful, and honestly some of the best we have had at a breakfast spot. I went with the buttermilk pancakes and they were absolutely out of this world. Soft, rich, and the syrup paired with them perfectly. I also ordered an Americano and it was excellent. Smooth, strong, and exactly what good coffee should taste like. What stood out most was how everything just felt easy. Great atmosphere, great service, great food, and no stress. Places like this are hard to find because they usually get one or two things right, but Liberty Market really nailed the whole experience. If you are anywhere near Gilbert, I would absolutely recommend stopping here. We will definitely be coming back next time we are in town.

We started with large French fries served with two smallish containers ketchup and chipotle sauce. Fries good but could have a bit hotter and served with insufficient amount of sauces. 3. Hubs had Caesar salad. I'm not kidding when I tell you that half of the bowl was croutons. 2. I had the minestrone soup with sausage, no pasta. This was absolute delicious and filling. I'd come back just for a bowl @ $17. 5. Hubs and I shared the wood fired pepperoni pizza. This may have been one of the worst pizzas I've had in recent years. Floppy, scant cheese and sauce. Shriveled basil and tiny pepperonis. Even worse, the bottom was black. Just awful. 1. Our waitress and other servers were all friendly. Nice vibe, clean and gender inclusive restrooms clean and tidy. We might come back for dinner one day and try other dishes. (I'd still get the soup). Super convenient given the Hale theater's close proximity. Well def come back for coffee and dessert! ~EG Eats

We came in with our family and three kids and sat on the patio since we were a larger group. After eating, our kids were sitting in chairs near our table, chatting and moving around a bit. They weren't being loud or disruptive, but a nearby a couple clearly seemed upset. The woman was shaking her head and saying to the waitress "this isn't okay to be doing while people are eating", pointing toward our kids. Once I realized this, I immediately called my kids back over and had them sit with us, and I even let her know that if something was bothering her, she could've told us and I would have addressed it right away. The couple chose to ignore us and left shortly after. The manager then came out and reassured us that Lucky Lou's is a family-friendly restaurant and that our kids were absolutely fine. That meant a lot to us and really showed how supportive and understanding the staff is. I also hope one day that couple realizes how hard it is to keep a 4-, 6-, and 8-year-old sitting at a table for more than 30 minutes without shoving an iPad in front of them. On top of that, the service was excellent, the atmosphere was welcoming, and I honestly had the best burger and tater tots of my life. We'll definitely be back--thank you for creating such a kid-friendly and enjoyable place for families!

It had been quite some time since I had last been, and my most recent visit didn't disappoint. Every time I've ever been here, it's always been busy during the dinner rush, but service has always remained quick and attentive. It certainly isn't what I would call a "fine dining" experience, but it's upscale enough and has good enough food to feel like a meaningful night out with family, friends, or your partner. For an appetizer, we enjoyed their bread and butter, which was fantastic. The bread also came with olive oil and seasonings to dip it in, which was also very tasty. For dinner, I enjoyed their grilled cod with French and sweet potato fries, as well as coleslaw. The restaurant and outdoor entertainment complex is huge and has a really fun, energetic vibe. I was pleasantly surprised that happy hour runs every day Monday through Sunday from 3-6 PM and again from 8 PM to close. The Service was "electric" for us as we were celebrating a birthday at the table during lunch. It was too Hot for us to do pickleball, but they do have a fully shaded area that had people playing outside ~105 degrees. As for the food, we had the Fish & Chips with a Mahi Mahi Slaw & Fries, the Ahi Poke Tacos which come in Wonton shells. Hot Honey and Sausage Pizza was great. The Barbacoa Nachos had all the right ingredients & the Double Smash Burger had only some "fancy sauce" on the plate. The Tempura Green Bean, can't remember who ordered, but were good with the chipotle ranch sauce. With me, I'm all about the cocktails, so I treated myself to both the Froze Margarita & the Chi Chi. They call them spiked slushes, I call them "heaven sent" during the Arizona Summer. All of the food was a hit for the table and my family understood why I suggested EP for lunch! I said our Server was "electric" and that's because they made our experience very enjoyable. It was appreciated and I will return again for lunch and pickleball (in the evenings) during the hot summer!
