New menu, new everything.. really enjoyed our breakfast recently. Portions are still large, food is fresh and hot when it arrives. Staff is friendly. Refilled our coffee and water , attentive. We will be back. read more

New owners, and a new menu with many of the great options that made Alexi's unique no longer available. For years my wife I have patronized this restaurant for home cooked options like fried chicken, hot roast beef or turkey sandwich's and scrambled eggs with minced ham - none of which are on the new menu. The new owners would be wise to return to what made Alexi's unique in a valley full of local diners. read more

This place personifies greasy spoon! The menu is big but not too big. The portions are HUGE and the food is delicious! Food: Solid 4 stars! Ambiance: 2.5 stars! Service: 5 stars!! I had the liver and onions and it was very good! This is my go to at any diner or family restaurant if they have it! The portion was big and the choice of side was abundant! Side note, try the coleslaw! read more

I have always go extra sauce on the side. I don't know what older lady told me I could not get it BUT I HAVE ALWAYS HAD IT ADDED TO MY ORDER!!! read more

Place is a Greek diner, but doesn't serve much Greek food. They had a Greek omlette, but that had feta cheese only. The veggie omelette had Swiss, but it cost $1.99 to switch to feta. Omelette was very good and well cooked. The home fried potatoes were a tad too overcooked and needed some onions and peppers. About $14 including toast. Nice staff and clean place. read more

Much improvement since our last visit. Adequate food. Bacon was good. Nice breakfast.

Their service was excellent and the server was very attentive and friendly and her suggestions made my breakfast amazing thank you

Aloha Hawaiians, I love me some pancakes. The hardier the better. Cause I I have the appetite of one big lumberjack. I went to this Restraunt and sat at counter for a dinner experience. I must admit the atmosphere is rustic, and the cakes were hot and crispy and I awoke up the next day with a craving for more. They open at 7 am and I was waiting at the door. You might be laughing because I always do DoorDash but I've been passing by for 4 years. read more

I went to Alexis's a few months ago, I wanted to take my boyfriend because I had been talking to him about the food because I remember it being really good. But it must've been a while since I last went because we did not have a good experience. when we arrived, we sat down and looked at the menu. My boyfriend had asked for a rib eye steak dinner, medium well, but when the "steak" was served, it was this little thin piece of meat. That was $25 on the menu and was small and over cooked.Furthermore , the utensils that were given to him had dry old food, possibly egg on the fork. I asked the waitress to please give us a new set of utensils. I was pretty embarrassed to say the least because I had been talking about this place for a long time and I finally got to take him and this happened! The only reason I give 3 stars is because they have really good liver and onions dish, and because the staff tries to be friendly. read more

Due to dietary restrictions, I asked for a special order ala carte style and expected to pay for such. Carol was amazing and made the order work for me at a reasonable price. The cooks were accommodating and the meal turned out exactly as I was expecting. It was very tasty! This is a typical diner/cafe setting, and like community diners/cafes, was very friendly and willing to work with me. I definitely will return. read more

Outstanding home cooking. Turkey club is made with real turkey NOT lunch meat. Delicious fries. Excellent split pea soup. Friendly, fast service. Clean, quaint family restaurant. We will return. Looking forward to our next meal. read more

I got breakfast at 2 PM but no waffles available at that time. Food was hot and delicious. They have a large selection and everyone else had good size portions. Most everything under twenty dollars. Good service and restaurant was not crowded at that time and it was quiet and clean. read more

My family came in to each lunch. They absolutely love the food. Unfortunately, while eating, my grandfather while eating bit into a tomato and cracked his tooth open. I worked a half day and stopped here on my way home. Food is still tasty and served fast. I had the BLT with fries. However, there is still a funky smell right as you walk in. I think it's the carpet that needs replacing. The tables, bar & booths are pretty clean. The restroom also clean. My waitress was friendly and on top of my drink refills. If you read any of my reviews, I drink a lot and use the unsolicited refill factor as one of my gauges for service. I would eat their food again, but would get it to go or through some delivery service. read more

Nice server awful food display. Open faced turkey sandwich with yellow gravy covering the whole plate cold mash potatoes. My friend had chicken tenders that look and taste like Tyson frozen tenders. The roils and butter were the best thing they had. Chili was good but it was microwaved. I will not return ever! read more

I love this place and eat here a lot. Never had anything bad until today. I had the ribeye steak. It was the worse steak I ever eaten. No flavor and almost not able to chew it. I will be back but never the steak again. read more

I went to Alexi's at the corner of 19th Ave and Union Hills for lunch. I ordered chicken parmesan with spaghetti that came with a cup of soup. When I started eating my cup of soup, a cockroach crawled out from under the crackers on my plate and onto the table. I killed the cockroach and let the server know. I lost my appetite so I couldn't eat any more of the food. The server told me he talked to the owner and that the owner said exterminators came to spray two days ago. They then still charged me full price for my food. I loved eating at Alexi's and would come here with my grown children when I could, but not anymore. I have been a server/hostess in the restaurant industry for over 30 years. I am very disappointed in how this situation was handled. read more

Looking through the lens of this is a locally owned small business I'm not comparing it to chain restaurants so with that said I found the food very good and at a good price and the service was excellent and the ambience of a quaint mom and pop restaurant. read more

I had lunch here for the first time today. Very clean old fashioned diner. I had a grilled cheese and adding a tomato was no big deal. It's a very relaxed atmosphere and we were able to sit at our table for an extended time without anyone trying to get us to leave. I definitely recommend this home style diner! Next time I'm trying the pie! read more

Service was nice, tasted good but outrageously priced. Two 5 in skillets, half order of packet made biscuits and gravy, iced tea and a coffee was $50. If the prices matched what you got I would definitely come back but at this price I'll be going someplace else. I also agree with other posters that it is dingy and old. Maybe the overpricing is for them to save up and give it a facelift? read more

I absolutely adore this restaurant and the employees they are absolutely amazing, positive, and all around a great team! Everything is always freshly made. They have homemade soups every day and they also have nice waiters and waitresses there have you I would recommend this place if you want nothing but good food and no weird service issues read more

We had our work Christmas party here last night, and Alexi's hosted such a great event for us. We started on a covered (and heated!) patio with little bites and drinks, before heading inside for dinner. We had an entire space that was towards the back and somewhat cornered off for privacy. The service was excellent and we were given a handful of entree options. I chose the halibut and my husband had the NY strip steak. Everyone received a huge and delicious Greek salad before our entrees were delivered. My fish was delicious. It had feta (never had it like this but highly recommend) on top along with tomato and a delicious sauce. It was so light and yummy. There were also potatoes, sweet potatoes (my favorite part of the entire dinner- they were so good!) and broccoli. My husband's steak wasn't too bad, I snuck a few bites! We closed with a large selection of desserts to choose from. I had the limoncello and my husband had the cheesecake. I definitely preferred the cheesecake. Would love to try the regular menu sometime but really enjoyed the event! read more

The food is decent but when you pay over $11 for a two Egg omelette with potatoes and toast. And they inform you that if you would like cheese there is an up charge of $.90 that left me very unhappy, especially since the only cheese they seem to have in the restaurant is American. The restaurant is filthy they only clean the walkways and they don't do a very good job at that I've added pictures of the bus trays that have the clean glasses in them and the front door the intake vent etc. I think it's time for the owners to clean the restaurant every pair the ribs and the booths and scrub the dirt off the front door from everybody's hands Not to mention cleaning under the equipment that you can clearly see from the booth I was in. rather disgusting!!! read more

I tried out their French toast and club sandwich. The price came out to $24.87. The food was overall average and nondescript.

My daughter and I stopped in here for a quick meal while we were shopping in the area. My tea was stale tasting. My daughter asked for Pepsi...they brought tea first then coffee with ice, then finally the Pepsi. I ordered a grilled cheese with bacon sandwich. I've never seen anything like this in all my 70+ years. The little bit of cheese on the sandwich tasted like that stuff you get in plastic wrappers. My daughters chorizo and eggs were ok. I can't seem to load a picture so I'll describe the sandwich. The cheese was very sparce (maybe one slice?) ...about an inch from the sides of the bread. The bacon was overcooked and crumbled in different size pieces. read more

The food was very good. The food was plentiful and was served quickly. I had the Philly cheesesteak and curly fries. My friend had the French dip. We each ended up taking half of our meal home. The meat was tender and juicy and the fries were crisp, just the way we ordered them. The restaurant was actually more like a diner but was comfortable and the staff were friendly. A good place to have a quick breakfast or lunch. read more

This diner EXACTLY what I was hoping it would be! The service is excellent and my server, Moises, was extremely attentive and kind. I got chocolate chip pancakes that were fluffy and delicious, and when I asked for crispy bacon they got it perfect. It's exactly the kinda 'home style' cooking that you hope for when you go out to eat. As someone who surfs reviews before trying new places, I would recommend it to anyone looking for a traditional American diner. read more

Needing a breakfast joint for Father's Day that wasn't going to be packed. Alexi's it was. Arrived about 8:30 with a party of 10. Was greeted by several wait staff and seated right away. At glance restaurant was clean. I ordered from the breakfast special menu. #1 for me. Half a waffle, 2 eggs, choice of breakfast meat. A bargain at $6.99 on a Sunday morning. Food arrived quickly. Hot and fresh! My waffle crispy with a big scoop of butter, eggs perfectly over easy, bacon cooked nicely. Other specials include pancakes, French toast or home fries and toast. Our service was fantastic even though we were a large party coffee and iced beverages always full. Alexi's is going to be our new go to breakfast joint. Home cooking with a hometown feel and for a party of 10 our bill was only $100 bucks. We all had beverages and not everyone ordered off the special menu. read more

Was nearby around lunchtime and decided to stop in. Ended up having a breakfast dish rather than something "lunchy". The place was clean, parking a breeze, fairly busy, and the staff was very friendly. I had two eggs scrambled, bacon, country fried potatoes, and toast. Everything was good but... The eggs were over cooked. The bacon burnt, and the toast was on the burnt side as well. The country fries were pretty dang good, though! The burnt bacon was the most disappointing... Other than that, it's a decent breakfast and a fairly good price. I probably should have tried a lunch item, given the time of day but... Next time. For sure. read more
