We've driven past this Scramble location so many times, usually in the way to and from work. We decided to finally stop in for breakfast before heading to the DBacks midday game. We were expecting a regular sit-down restaurant, but this was one of those places where they have a menu along the wall as you walk to the counter to place your order. You then place and pay for your order, get a number to put on whatever table you choose and wait for them to bring the food to you. They also hand you cups so you can get your drinks at the self-serve station. I guess you'd call it fast casual, just a step above fast food. I have to be honest, we don't love this concept and wasn't something we really had on the east coast. It feels a little impersonal. The food was very good. I had the French French Toast - no, that's not a typo. They use French bread to make their French Toast. It was delicious. It comes with a side of fruit which was very fresh. I also ordered a side of extra crispy bacon. It was delicious, but not sure 2 slices is with $3.99. Hubby went with the Huevos Rancheros which seems to be his favorite breakfast item since moving to AZ. The servers were excellent. Food was delivered fresh and they did a great job working the room to clear tables and get anything you needed. Overall a good meal, although a bit pricey (which is probably going to be the norm in this Covid era), and we just don't love the impersonal feel of this style of dining. read more

We wanted to try a new place for breakfast so we made a stop at Scramble. I was surprised to find it set up like a Panera where you order and then find your own seat with a number system. No big deal though. Masks were required and the seating was spaced and certain tables were blocked off. There is great options to choose from, eggs, French toast, pancakes, breakfast pizza and lunch items. I decided on a Phoenix scramble which had chorizo, green chilies, cheese and pico. The other half got a western omelet which had ham, peppers, onions and cheese. Both came with a choice of toast and hash browns. We got our number and literally every table was taken and it was kind of crammed with people also waiting for pickup orders. They do have patio seating which is dog friendly but we had already been out in the heat and just wanted to eat inside. As soon as a table opened up we sat and were served pretty quickly. The food was presented well and man those hash browns were tasty!! We both really liked our food as everything was made fresh and tasted great. I wish the seating area was bigger but understand not something easily fixed. We definitely would come back if were in the area and it's not as busy. Scramble is one of my favorite restaurants for breakfast/lunch. We've been eating at this establishment for over six years (many changes in personnel). Scramble has a patio outside that is dog friendly. Be sure to sign up for points. I received a free birthday meal, and sweet roll or oj when I reach a certain number of points, a free meal or something. My very favorite menu item at Scramble is its original eggs Benedict but substitute crispy bacon for ham and ask that the English muffin is extra toasted. They offer yummy hash browns and I ask for two cups of Scramble's salsa. My husband likes the Cuban sandwich and the original eggs Benedict. Scramble has a wide range of menu items. I don't think you can go wrong on any item Scramble offers. To order, you stand in line and your meal is served by an employee. Please be kind and tip. It's a good place for breakfast if you want to sit and catch up with family/friends. We've never had any issues here and the employees are always friendly and welcoming! Their food is delicious and we love that they offer vegan options. The reason for 3 stars is that it can get really busy and finding a table to sit at can be difficult. Another thing is the food takes a while to be prepared. It usually takes 30-40 minutes for two adults and two kids to get our meals. Yum! Came here around 10am on a Saturday to their dog-friendly patio! You order at the door, get a number and the server brings your food out. They estimate roughly a 20 minute wait if the line is backed to the door which it was that morning. We got the French French toast and their AZ sunrise breakfast pizzas adorably called a "Brizza" with some coffees for about $30. It was the perfect amount for two for brunch and delicious; definitely one of the best brunch places in the Valley. The wait can be a little long but the staff is super friendly, and a really cute, clean ambiance. read more

I've been to their Scottsdale location before so I knew what to do when I arrived. Check in on Yelp before ordering to get free hot coffee! I don't normally check in until I left the restaurant except I know I get Yelp perks by checking in. This is one of the places. Order before you get a table and they bring food to your table. I always like their eggs benedict here and it was consistently good. They are also famous for breakfast pizza, they call it Brizza. Huge portion size, either share or bring big appetite. Chairs they have here is not that comfortable unless you sit at the booth. Same as Scottsdale location. If you wear shorts, you will feel the cold and uncomfortable metal against your skin. I saw this breakfast place called "Scramble" strategically located on N. 7th st and had to try it. The place was packed on a Sunday but the Staff quickly and expertly seated me in minutes. There is a large outdoor patio to enjoy the sun and also large AC indoor seating area. GM Mike recommended their french toast with whiskey infused syrup so I had that, the jack cheese, garlic applewood smoked bacon omelette and an Italian hoagie on toasted roll(had to save most for later it is so big). The french toast was the best I could recall having for years. It was perfectly toasted with tender bread inside and delicious whiskey syrup. My omelette with cottage cheese on it oozing jack cheese was amazing. I finished with a delicious vanilla toffee iced coffee which was perfect as the temp rose approaching 1pm in midtown Phoenix. I want to give a special shout out to GM Mike Williams for flawless service. He is also the executive chef with world class culinary skills. I told him he will be owning a Scramble restaurant some day. Overall, I rate Scramble best breakfast in midtown Phoenix and best overall service staff I've experienced so far in Arizona. Wow! What a gem hiding in plain sight! My hubby had eggs Benedict and two OJs and I had the lox platter. Both meals (and the OJ) were fresh and delicious. Pretty solid breakfast/brunch options, particularly if you have vegetarians or vegans in your group! I dropped by with a friend on a Fri morning and it wasn't too crowded so yay! You walk up to the front, order, then sit down with a number and wait for your food to be delivered. I went with the vegan veggie scramble and my friend just grabbed the Monterey scramble. My vegan scramble was pretty good, but a little lacking in flavor. I was able to spruce it up pretty well with some hot sauce/salt/pepper and it did end up tasting yummy. The vegan scramble comes with a sweet potato hash, but I dislike sweet potato and opted to switch that for the hashbrowns. It also came with a side of toast! Aka there was a ton of food and I ended up with leftover toast because I just could not finish the whole meal. My friend enjoyed her scramble and was left with toast at the end as well. I have to admit, I'm not a fan of the fast casual breakfast concept. I feel like you end up paying almost what you'd pay for sit down service, and the latter is definitely my preference. That being said, the quality of the food here is superior to the vast majority of sit down breakfast places I've frequented. AND the staff gave impeccable service. Erika went far above and beyond what could've been reasonably expected. Rather than telling me I could serve myself (which is the model) she got me a requested cup of ice. And the bagel I got with bacon, cream cheese and butter was basically fantastic. Pricey? Yes. It was 6 or 8 bucks. But to be fair the bacon was a good sized serving, far more than what you'd get at Einstein's and decidedly better in quality. And darn good Applewood bacon to boot!! I think I got charged a buck for a bit of butter, which to me is kinda crazy. So not 5 star because the prices are a little steep for what you get. I get it, the restaurant biz is super challenging to survive, especially given narrow profit margins. So they have to charge more to make it work, and for that I give a very solid 4 stars. read more

Woke up late and just wanted some breakfast. Decided to come here, and was happy we did. You order first, and then get seated. They'll bring the food to you. The employee that took our order was super friendly. There is a station where you fill your own drinks, and take condiments to your liking. What I noticed was the same employee wiping down each bottle she was putting back on the shelf. That impressed me, and made sense why each bottle were so clean. Of all the Scramble restaurants in my area, I have the worst experiences from this one. There seems to always be an issue with the quality of food. If food is rotten, it should be discarded. The food comes out looking beautiful. The overall flavor is a 3.5. It's good, don't get me wrong but it's an average breakfast, nothing elevating it to the next level. This location does not have alcohol or unlimited mimosas. They also have a dog friendly patio with a dog menu for your furry friend. The biggest thing bugging me about my visit is the cups. They don't have real glasses. They used disposable plastic glasses. This is tacky and wasteful. Each guest has 1-2 disposable plastic cups in front of them. A lot of places don't have everything I want on an omelette so I had to make(build) my own. You can pick up to 3 items free of charge but after that it's like a $1 an item. So I ordered an omelette with spinach, tomatoes, avocado, sausage, bacon, onions & cheddar chs. It comes with hash browns & toast (4 slices). Also I got a 20 oz iced caffe caramel. So you basically order first & pay first at the register & tip first if you want. Then they give you a number and you get to sit where you want. The drinks are self serve if you pay. Also you pick your own utilities, condiments & etc., there's a little place in the middle to pick your stuff. Then you wait for your order to be brought to you. They brought my coffee first then my food. The hash browns were a bit different but definitely good! So happy they weren't stingy with the portion either. The omelette was good too but there wasn't a lot of tomatoes in it(it looked like carrots), not sure if there was onions. But they definitely cut the veggies pretty tiny. That's good. Had an awesome delicious patio breakfast with my pup. I had biscuits and gravy with a side of fruit and an over easy egg. All I get to do tomorrow is fry an egg. These where two huge biscuits. My pup on the other hand had a pupcake topped with bananas and whipped cream plus a scrambled egg on top. We both went home with doggie bags and will definitely be coming back. My favorite to-to breakfast spot to bring my out of town guests is now my neighborhood Scramble! There is always something for everyone, from my vegan and vegetarian sisters, to my girlfriend with severe food allergies. I almost always order eggs two ways with my bacon extra crispy. I've been told their pancakes are better than Eggstacy and Butters - two much more expensive sit-down breakfast joints. Plus, eating inside affords you the chance to watch a sports game or cartoons, and outside eaters can enjoy a nice spacious patio during great weather (including heat lamps in the winter).
