Found this coffee shop near the kid museum, went to Arizona for a conference brought along family and friends, and we found this coffee shop. It's very catchy, but not great for kids. In fact it's connected to a dorm like facility for University of Arizona students etc. and unfortunately or fortunately for them they all come down to study and have coffee there and they treated quite a bit like a library. Really good coffee! Came here between classes at ASU to study and have lunch, and I'm happy with both the food and my drink. It's really nice and cozy in here, with houseplants and tons of local artists' work hanging on the walls for sale. As an artist who sells pieces on the side, I really appreciate that. Only bad thing was the gnats. Usually I don't care if there are one or two flies; they might get in through the doors, things happen. But there were tons of gnats to the point where I had to constantly bat them away from my food and my coffee the whole time I was there. Not super fun. Maybe it's the summer heat bringing the bugs in, an infestation in the houseplants, or maybe the corner I was in was just bad, but hopefully that's a one-off thing. Just happened to stumble across this place on our road trip back to Cali. Was greeted immediately walking into the shop. The employees were kind and courteous helping us decide on items off the menu. They even helped us with some hot water to warm a baby bottle for our 6 month old. Coffee was excellent had a honey hazelnut latte and a flat white. Atmosphere was great. Very open, comfortable and inviting. Only wish we had more time to spend there. read more

Woah. AMAZEBALLS! I'm a Cali native and was fortunate enough to encounter Fillmore Coffee. I had the orange juice, Pesto grilled chicken panini and the Chai Latte. Here are some highlights: - CHAI latte delicious. It tasted like Autumn in a cup. Undoubtedly, the GREATEST most delicious chai latte I have EVER had. - the orange juice was freshly squeezed - the location was super hipster. White walls and green plants aesthetics. It even had a chess board. Can't wait to learn only to go back to Fillmore to play chess while sipping on a Chai latte! - it was decorated with the classic Phoenix desert cacti - the panini chicken pesto was so moist and well seasoned (i had it without Chutney) I only wish I could have taken Fillmore Coffee back home with me. read more

Came here for breakfast because it was close to our hotel and the convention center where we are playing in a volleyball festival. They had a great selection of breakfast items, great coffee, and yummy smoothies for the girls to get before they played later on. They were so nice and accommodated our group. Loved it!!! read more

From LA but currently in Phoenix this weekend for a wedding, my wife, brother and I ventured into Fillmore Coffee yesterday, based on the stellar reviews and must say that it didn't disappoint! The coffee was great and the food was awesome (Mexican Mocha and Brekkie Scramble were "gotta haves!") but the stand-out, was the service. When there was a minor mix-up with the food order (no fault of the staff) both Drew and Collin immediately stepped-up to fix things, in a polite, respectful and professional manner. I gotta say that great coffee and food is one thing, but an excellent, professional staff isn't always easy to find. Kudos to these folks behind the counter (all of them) because they made an already good meal absolutely exceptional!! Wish I had more stars after five!! read more

The coffee is outstanding, they have free wifi with lots of seating and outlets, cozy couches, outdoor seating, great food and pastries (I got the blueberry scone which was amazing), and an overall chill/cozy atmosphere. Spacious coffee house with homey decor and pathos overhead. The Brekkie Scramble was delicious with buttery sourdough. The chai latte was creamy and the honey lavender latte was light and sweet. The staff were very friendly and helpful with the recommendations. There's a bunch of old school games to play with by the front couch area. It's my litmus test for any coffee shop, restaurant, etc. and often determines if I'll be back. Fillmore Coffee's açaí bowl is EXCELLENT. It had great açaí and other berry flavor, wasn't too icy, and was piled high with toppings (strawberries, bananas, chia seeds, agave syrup, and granola) enough to last until the very last bite! I also ordered an iced dirty chai with almond milk which was great, but I prefer mine a bit more spicy. The prominent flavor of this particular chai was cinnamon, so if that's what you like, then this chai is right for you. Overall I loved the atmosphere and will definitely be back! read more

The art they display is very appealing, the plants they have around the shop are a nice touch and the music they play is very chill. You could definitely come in and simply enjoy a cup of coffee or just get some homework done here. They offer a wide variety of options if you are hungry or if you just want something to munch on. So many choices! From coffee to pastries! Even if you're wanting to lunch there's food too! I was finally able to try an affogato and it was pretty good! The vanilla sweetened the espresso ever so slightly, but I have to say their chai was the main star though! It was perfection. The location is a little weird and hidden but if you want good coffee you'll find this awesome gem. Their decor is so cool and trendy! There's definitely plenty of local art work hanging. I don't know why I was surprised to see it part of a larger building complex but it was still a cozy spot. Lots of areas to sit, whether alone, or with larger groups. Came here for the first time this week and absolutely loved it! Coffee and tea were both superb (we had a pumpkin tea latte and the pumpkin black tea), service was friendly, and there's a large selection of food in case you get hungry. I also really like the free water. I know, it's goofy, but there was a large pot of water containing oranges and mint that was super refreshing. Chairs were comfortable, with a big range of seating choices (we went for some upright high-tops, but there are some cozy couches in the back with a good-looking board game selection). Even better, a lot of the people in the apartment complex upstairs seem to come by when they're headed out to walk their dogs, so you get to say hi to a lot of super cute puppers while you work. 5/5, will be back. read more

Five stars for the baristas who were friendly and lovely as can be and the ambiance is awesome! Zero stars for the coffee itself which was Terrible. Legit undrinkable. My cappuccino was oversteamed with a dollop of foam on top and the espresso was clearly over roasted (I love dark coffee so used to a bit of bitterness, these beans were terrible). My partner's vanilla latte tasted like a powder blend from the gas station, both the flavor and how weirdly watery it was. Maybe the good reviews are all for the food and ambiance? In the downtown Phoenix area around ASU, Fillmore Coffee is by far my favorite coffee shop. It might even be my favorite coffee shop that I have tried in Phoenix/Scottsdale for the following reasons: 1. The cold brew is great! It doesn't have the super acidic taste. It is smooth, full of coffee flavor, and doesn't leave a bad aftertaste. 2. Breakfast options are good, and the cinnamon roll is awesome. 3. DOG FRIENDLY. I have a stressful job so it's so nice to just see a dog chilling in the morning with its person. It reminds me not to be so stressed either! 4.
