Parking might be a little tricky on a busy night, but there is a small parking lot behind the building that you can try. Okay, now parking aside, the shop is really cute inside with lots of room, and is aesthetically pleasing. The ice cream itself was really good too! I got the strawberry and it tasted so fresh! My sister got the waffle cone amd said it was the best one she's ever had. Next time we're in the area, we'll definitely stop by again!

Super cool spot. I loved the way they make the ice cream because it comes out creamy and gooey. The inside was clean and the workers were friendly.

Really nice, helpful staff here. I am a huge fan of their fruity pebbles ice cream, the roast malone was just fine. They have a little bit of seating in the shop and it's right next to ASU campus. Great option for late night sweet treats.

This was definitely the priciest ice cream spot I've been to but it was super delicious! Inside was very small and there weren't tables to enjoy your ice cream but there are benches! Parking was extremely difficult because their parking lot was very small and limited! They're open daily 5pm-1am Service was very welcoming and friendly. Ordering was easy and there is a kiosk you order from and the menu is located on the wall right next to it. Step 1 - Pick a scoop: 1) SOLO (one flavor) - $5.99 2) DUET (2 scoops of ONE flavor) - $9.69 3) DOUBLE BOAT (2 flavors) - $12.50 Step 2 - Choose a Waffle: Waff Cup, Nite Cone, Nite Puff, Chocolate Puff Step 3 - Select a Flavor: Strawberry Cream, Saturday Cereal, Salted Caramel Crumb, All Niter, Milk & Gold, Cactus Jacked, Pineapple Picante, The Flintstones, Thicc Mint, Roast Malone, PB Nutella, and Dolce & Banana Got the All Niter and it was coffee ice cream topped with Oreo crumbs. It was super cool seeing how they freshly make the ice cream with liquid nitrogen! The ice cream had a rich coffee flavor and it wasn't too sweet. It was super creamy and delicious! I really enjoyed the toasted marshmallow and it didn't taste too burnt. This was 9/10 Definitely recommend and would visit again!

Such a cute place and made to order ice cream! This concept is so cool, and there were different combo, all looked pretty yummy! I got this one with marshmallow, it was creamy and yummy! I love ice cream + toasted marshmallow combo, and it was fun to see that my ice cream was made to order. It would've been better if I could try the flavor before ordering it, but still good! Fun ice cream!

Wow this was so good and I don't even like ice cream that much. My friend and I were grabbing a coffee nearby and saw this place on google maps with a perfect 5.0 rating with like 1k+ reviews or so. This immediately piqued our curiosity so we decided to walk by to check out some of their flavors. Even just stepping in the door, it smelled so good like caramel and waffles so we decided to come back for dessert after eating dinner. After seeing a few reviews raving about the Strawberry Cream, my friend and I each decided to get a scoop and I added a chocolate nite puff to mine. Although there were only 2 parties in front of us, the ice cream did take a decent amount of time to come out (~20 min) since they make everything made to order so definitely don't expect to just pop in for a quick snack especially if there's a lot of people. But, that being said when we got our ice creams, honestly I think it was worth the wait. The strawberry cream was refreshing, light, the perfect amount of sweetness, and the strawberries themselves tasted noticeably fresh too. It was so addicting to eat and not heavy at all, so by the time we were done, we both said we could've eaten another lol. I normally don't even really like ice cream and have never understood the hype but this time I really got it - the texture was perfect too (not too dense but also surprisingly barely melted by the time I was done). I will say the nite puff, although I enjoyed it, probably wasn't worth it and I'd skip next time - it was like $3 additional and I assumed that each of the round "puffs" would contain chocolate inside but I don't think any of them did and the chocolate was just concentrated within some of the flat areas in between the puffs so that was very interesting. Overall, this ice cream was delicious - my friend and I couldn't stop thinking about it the next day (and wished they sold pints), so I definitely would love to revisit and try another flavor!

We walked in and the staff had such a great attitude and vibe. There were 15 people in line, and Izzy was greeting everyone, showing us how the machines work, and entertaining us during the wait. The ice cream is delicious and the service was great at 9pm on a Sunday night.

The most expensive ice cream spot in AZ. Tried the Roasted Malone and salted caramel, both very unique flavors I've never tasted before! Loved the roast Malone with the graham crackers which is a lovely texture with the ice cream and was a bit sweet as I took each bite. The Salted Caramel was a savory ice cream with pretzel bits. I'm definitely more of a savory person so I think that was the best! Love the unique flavors but for the price and bc I'm lactose intolerant; I won't really be back here but it was a good experience! Also the parking is horrible here and definitely was a lil overstimulating. There was a bit of a wait too but the staff are very friendly.

Brand new artisan ice cream spot. Everything was excellent: the ice cream, the waffles, and the service. The flavors are so creative. I got the Flintstone (fruity pebbles) in a bubble waffle cup. The ice cream is made fresh to order and takes about 5 minutes. It's smooth, creamy, and not overly sweet. The bubble waffles (called nite puff) are on point - warm, fluffy, crispy, and a great complement to the ice cream. Staff were so friendly and helpful. There is a parking lot in the back shared with other businesses. No tables inside but plenty of seating!

Great place to grab a quick sweet treat. They have a little parking lot you can park at, it does get busy though. The workers are nice and made the ice cream pretty quick. The store doesn't have that much seating besides benches. ig: @cravingswithcat

We walked in and the staff was just so full of life, my kids really enjoyed the staff. The worker explained to my kids what they were doing step-by-step so my kids really enjoyed it. The ice cream was so flavorful and delicious. I will definitely be back when in the area.

A fine choice for late night munchies. Located in a busier plaza by ASU Tempe, Nite Creamery serves fresh made to order delights. Ordered the Milk and Gold flavor and my husband ordered Cactus Jack both are delicious. The place was busy despite it being last 10 pm. It was amazing how fast the ice cream came out and the employees were super nice. I loved the setting. There are plenty of seating inside.. would come back if I'm in the area!

    All Niter and Strawberry Cream
    Caroline N.

Wow, freshly made nitrogen ice cream with unique flavors! I stopped by on a Saturday around 5pm, after parking in the free retail spots in the nearby parking garage. Izzy was super helpful and attentive to us, as newbies to the store. I picked the All-Niter, made of coffee and cream with oreo crumbs on top. I was impressed with the dense but soft texture and delicious flavor. My friend got the Strawberry Cream strawberry ice cream made with real strawberries, but I didn't try hers, so I can't speak to it. There is limited seating inside, comprised of a few benches underneath trendy arches. My only critique is how pricey it is, and I felt like the solo scoop in a cup is smaller than I'd like for $5.99. Otherwise, I'll definitely back to try more eye-catching flavors!

While the ambience is fairly simple, the overall experience is a positive one, especially once the food arrives. I ordered the lox and bagel and was impressed by how substantial the portion was. The lox was generously layered, with a large amount of arugula on top. The arugula appeared to be lightly dressed with olive oil, which added great flavor. While it did not fully align with my personal dietary preferences, it was well executed, and I would be happy to return to see if it can be adjusted. The dirty chai was another highlight in terms of flavor. It was well spiced and not overly sweet, which I appreciated. Although it was described as very hot when delivered, it arrived closer to lukewarm, but the taste itself was enjoyable. Service was efficient and attentive. The check was dropped off relatively early, which initially felt a bit quick, but our server continued to check in on us throughout the meal, creating a balanced and courteous experience. The fresh squeezed orange juice was excellent, and everything we ordered was well prepared. Parking in the area can be challenging, though the nearby parking structure behind Pedalhaus makes it more manageable. Overall, this is a reliable brunch option with strong portions, thoughtful flavors, and enough positives to make it a place I would gladly return to.

It was absolutely delicious and the best part of the dining experience. The BLTA (Bacon Lettuce Tomato Avacado) sandwich was way too heavy on the lettuce and the bread was quite hard, making it difficult to eat. It was moreso a handheld salad. Service was okay, though not especially attentive, as our water wasn't refilled. At the host stand there was some confusion when we arrived. She didnt realize we were standing there and then when my boyfriend asked a question about a menu item she didnt respond. Not sure if she was just not paying attention, the music was too loud, or didnt want to converse with us. Sort of awkward. Overall, the experience was mixed, but the butter cake French toast was delicious.

My first visit to Harlow's was back in 1993--when Tempe still felt like a college town with rough edges and a pulse--this place went by another name: Mae West. The name change? That's a story best told over coffee and eggs, which is exactly how all good stories should be told. What never changed was the vibe: a room that quietly collected stories. You see it on the walls--old Hollywood glamour nodding to Mae West the actress, winking at you from another era, reminding you that Tempe once flirted with style and danger before developers discovered spreadsheets. And then there's the music. In the '90s and early 2000s, when the Tempe music scene was punching way above its weight, this place was part diner, part unofficial green room. Bands didn't just eat here--they held court. You'd find members of Gin Blossoms, The Refreshments, and a rotating cast of local music heroes sliding into booths, fueling up. No velvet ropes. No backstage passes. Just eggs, coffee, and the quiet understanding that everyone in the room was part of the same scene. You still feel it. The memorabilia isn't curated--it's accumulated. Earned. Like scars on a boxer. And through all of it--name changes, real estate pressure, ASU's corporate gravity well--Harlow's endured. We talked with the owners, John and Kimberly, about how Tempe's mom-and-pop joints have been steadily squeezed out by institutional money and chain logic. Harlow's survived not by scaling, but by belonging. Locals. Students. Musicians. Families. Same door, same welcome. You come here for chorizo and eggs that understand their purpose in life. For Belgian waffles that don't need reinvention. For breakfast that refuses to be ironic. But you stay because places like this are rare now--rooms where culture happened accidentally, not because someone branded it that way. Harlow's Cafe isn't just a great breakfast spot. It's a time capsule that still feeds you. A small, stubborn act of resistance. And proof that if you do the simple things right--and treat people like they matter--you just might outlast the wrecking ball.
