Always a treat here. I love how bright a clean this place is. Got the taro, strawberry cream, chocolate, mango,funnel cake, caramel churro. This was a quick stop and I had a 1/2 dozen mochinut. I love these chewy mochi donuts!
My friend has been talking this place up as she said it's a must stop when in the plaza shopping at Rocket a Go Go. Today I finally stopped by with her to experience, and loved it! The staff member was super friendly and even advised of their current offer of a free original when you spend $10+. This allowed me to try both a drink and food item, which I enjoyed both! With the heat, I avoid dairy or heavier drinks so I went with a strawberry lemonade which was very refreshing for only $5! Love the cute murals on the wall for photos and it was cozy if you wanted to sip in the air conditioned building. I'll definitely return to try a milk tea in the future as they seem to have an amazing selection to try more items. Plus, a Yelp friend suggested their cold brew so I foresee a visit soon because I adore cold brew!

The Tempe location of Mochinut was a vendor at the Lunar New Year Asian Food Festival in North Phoenix held on Saturday the 17th and I am ever so grateful! I ended up getting a 3 pack variety that included the original glazed, strawberry, and taro. I've never had Mochinut before so I figure ordering a single variety pack would be a good way to try it out. I couldn't discern any difference between this and a regular donut in terms of texture. It is definitely less sweet than a regular donut and keeps fresh longer - big pluses in my book. My 2 kiddos took 2 of the Mochinuts the evening I brought it home and I saved the last one for myself to consume 2 days later. The 2 day old Mochinut still tasted as fresh as the day I bought it. A regular donut would've been stale by now. I appreciate how the vendor had the variety packs ready to go so those who want it can pay and go right away. Due to being outside their storefront, they had very limited selections but this was still a great way to introduce their core product to the public who are new to them. The Tempe location I will happily carve out time to visit if I'm in the area. The closer location to me in Peoria is not related to the Tempe store and has disappointing reviews that scares me into not visiting lol. I may still visit anyway if I'm ever over in that area. Thank you to the vendor for the incredible service and making the trek out to this festival!
I love mochi donuts & boba tea, especially Mochinuts! I love the fun decor. The shop was super clean. I ordered three donuts and an Oreo custard donut ball. I was not a big fan of the donut ball. The chai donut was delicious, but the original is my favorite. They were airy with a good texture. The boba was a bit off the lychee jellies had an odd, almost rubbery, texture. I also got an original mozzarella on a stick with sweet and sour on the side. It's made to order and the cheese was ooey gooey - so delicious!!
If you're looking for a variety of treats that are not too sweet and that just hit the spot, look no further because this is the place to visit! We stopped by on Saturday around 11am and it was pretty busy. The location was easy to find and the plaza had plenty of parking. We ordered one Mochi Donut of each of the following flavors: Lychee, Okinawa Milk Tea, Melon, Original, Matcha, and Sugar. We ordered the following drinks: One thai tea with boba, one matcha tea with oatmilk, a strawberry lemonade, and a white peach tea with lychee. We also shared a hot dog which we ordered plain (on the outside) and for the inside we asked for half cheese and half sausage. The Mochi Donut's were delicious! They were soft - not crusty, flavorful, and we could actually taste each of the flavors we chose. These did not have a "greasy" taste like other ones I've tried at other shops. Here all the flavors had their own unique taste and all were very good. My favorite was the "original flavor" and the Okinawa Milk Tea. The white peach tea was perfect since it was soo hot out on the day we visited. The drink was refreshing and it was not overpoweringly sweet. Th e strawberry lemonade also hit the spot. It was cold and refreshing! The hotdog was another favorite of mine. The outside was crunchy / crispy and the yummy-ness was all in the inside.. The cheese was hot and gooey when I took my first bite. Then a few bites later, I was down to the sausage. The sausage was juicy, hot, and tasted really good! I want to say that the sausage was definitely my favorite part, yummy. The inside is super cute and it was very clean. They have a few chairs along the wall where you can sit and eat your treats. Each location is ran by a different entity so you ought to see a difference in the quality of the food and service if you visit a different location. I will most definitely be back soon. The flavors rotate and I can't wait to try some more! :D
I initially came cause I was craving some donuts. To my surprise they sold more than just donuts. I got the flamin' hot Korean corn dog filled with mozzerella, half dozen of assorted donuts, and lychee tea. Everything was delicious. My favorite was the Korean corn dog. So good! We will be back.
I'm nuts about mochi donuts! Made a stop one afternoon when a craving hit. Mochinut has two locations in the valley: Tempe and Peoria. This Tempe location is in a large shopping center with plenty of parking. I was the only customer at the time and was greeted right away. The friendly staff member was patient with me and answered all of my questions. I went with a half dozen with one of each flavor they offered that day: strawberry funnel cake, wildberry yogurt, Korean churro, original, pistachio, and chocolate pebbles. I also got an original K-dog for my son. Couldn't wait until I got home to try the donuts, so I tore off a mochi ball from each donut on my drive home. The mochi dough was perfectly chewy with a slight crunch on the outside. The flavors were subtle and complement the fried dough. Out of the six, my favorite flavor was the pistachio. My son enjoyed the donuts, too and his K-dog. However, the K-dog had very little meat. It took him 2-3 bites before getting any meat.
I had never had a mochi donut before but my cousin said I had to try it so here we are! We ordered a bunch of mochi donuts and 3 balls to share! Loved them, especially because they weren't too sweet! The custard ball was probably my favorite though! Yum!! The drinks were amazing too!! The strawberry one was a little too sweet (the kids loved it) but the grapefruit one was perfect if you like grapefruit. Got an original potato K-Dog with sriracha mayo and sweet chilli sauce, and an orange green tea with 50% sugar to go for my son! He's enjoying those as I type!! The owner was so sweet! Our family took over her shop! I told her we need one of these in Miami!! Both the donuts and the teas would be a big hit! If you're in Tempe, come check this location out.
The kids and I came here on a very very hot day. My car said 118F at one point. My kids enjoy donuts and the corn dogs so this was the place to go. We preordered and the donuts were ready when we got their. The person was making the drinks when we arrive. Given it was such a hot day; there was no other people in the store. I got the three piece mochi donut: raspberry funnel cake,chocolate pocky, and strawberry yogurt. Also Ordered a sparkling strawberry lemonade with popping strawberry boba, Assam milk tea, original corn dog and potatoes corn dog. All very delicious. Very cute and clean store. The person at the counter was friendly, nice and offered to take our pictures as she saw me doing a selfie. Would recommend and will come back.
I like the soft texture of the Mochinut. Doughnuts come in different varieties and this one is just my style. I don't like the bread variety. A traditional cake doughnut is okay. The Mochinut has a completely different texture than these two types of doughnuts. It is soft and chewy. If I had to pick a doughnut type most similar to it, I would say it is like a Krispy Kreme doughnut in terms of how light and airy it is. The frosting holds most of the flavor in the Mochinut. My favorite is the Hokkaido. They rotate flavors on a weekly basis. I would always go for a flavored mochinut over any of the non flavors ones or powdered sugar or plain glaze. Stores is just the right size for picking up a box of mochinuts to go. Not a lot of seating. Most people probably do take out.
Really cute store. The decoration and atmosphere was very fun and engaging. The staff were very polite and there was barely a line for so many people inside. We tried the strawberry mochi and the fruity pebbles mochi donuts. They were really good. Also nice to find out they are like half the calories as a traditional donut

The churro & caramel churro are my favorite, and the strawberry funnel cake was really good too, and I got the cookies & cream, which was too sweet for my liking but I'm still glad I tried it. The service was alright here, nothing special, but nothing horrible, mostly young college students working when I came. They have boba, Mochi donuts, and Korean corn dogs which I'm excited to try sometime. The place is clean, and has a little seating area and it was not busy when I went. A Mochi donut is made with rice flour and is so unique, chewy, and amazing I find it better than an actual donut lol

I've always gone to their 99 Ranch Market location in Chandler, but this was my first time visiting this outlet. The ambiance here is plain and simple--not as vibrant as some of their other branches--but it gets the job done. Service was friendly and quick, which made the visit smooth and enjoyable. After a couple of visits overall, my go-to flavors are still Matcha, Chocolate, and Choco Funnel Cake. With so many flavor options rotating, I'm excited to try more next time. Every bite is a perfect hit for my sweet tooth. They also offer rice hotdogs, milk teas, and a variety of flavored drinks that pair nicely with their donuts. Friendly service with a genuine smile. Great selection of flavors to choose from for Mochinut! The K Dog selection is wide too like 15 to choose from and 6 different sauces too! A basic 18 varieties for your tea / boba to choose from. This place is a total winner! We need one in upper Phoenix area, I drove 35 min to get here. Visited the booth at the Matsuri Japanese festival this past weekend! My kids and I love mochi and have had mochi donuts before in Hawaii. This booth didn't disappoint! Of course a little pricey at the festival, but that's expected! The lines moved quickly and many of the single donuts were sold out, so we opted for the 3 pack! No loss, because we got to try different flavors! Now that the festival is over. My goal is to find a location closest to where we live! read more
My favorite was the Hokkaido tea flavored one. It has a unique tea flavor. The mochi donut was sweet. I liked it. The texture was soft almost like a Krispy Kreme. It has a little more substance. I had been wanting to get my hands on those cute little teething ring donuts and finally was in the area. The spot was easy to find and they were pretty busy when we arrived. We got 3 Mochinut donuts, 2 drinks and a k-dog. The donuts we got were original, caramel funnel cake and churro. They all were very tasty and had that soft mochi in each little bite. The flavors were perfect. For our drinks we got a grapefruit green tea which had the perfect amount of sweet and grapefruit flavor. The Thai tea wasn't as sweet as were normally used too and preferred the grapefruit green tea over it. The K-dog was half mozz cheese and half dog topped with the sugar, ketchup and mustard. The outside was crunchy as it should be and missed the photo opp on the cheese pull! Overall, will definitely pop in again when we're in the area. I've been wanting to try here since their opening and after seeing all my local Yelpers reviewed here, I couldn't wait to try on my own. Korean hot dog with mozzarella. I've seen them online about cheese pull. I had to try it and I did. We also shared some mochi donuts. I heard from my Japanese friends that they are similar to Mr. Donuts pod-de-ring. Although I haven't tried original pin-de-ring, I heard so much about them. I loved that texture of this mochi donuts. Slightly chewy like mochi. It's not as sweet as I anticipated. We tried Ube, taro and green tea flavor that day. I think ube was my favorite. I can't wait to come back to try more of their mochi donuts. read more
I went here during the time they just did grand opening. This place is packed! They made lots of mochi donuts but there were so many customers. I waited for a while before I got my order. After months and months looking for restaurants that had Korean Corn dogs, we were able to find them at Mochinut. The downside is we had to fly across the country for it. We were visiting Phoenix and made it a priority to make a stop. They had a big selection on their menu with different types of corn dogs, mochi donuts and boba tea. I don't remember which boba tea I got but it was okay. I would pass on it next time. I went with the flaming hot Cheetos corn dog. It was worth the hype. It's also massive compared to the cost so it's a good deal. My friend and I split 3 of the mochi donuts and all 3 were a hit. I'd gladly come back to Mochinut to try the rest of the menu.....if only they opened one closer to my hometown. read more

What Joyce calls her teething rings, these mochi doughnuts are a great snack when you want something sweet without it being overly sweet. They have a great rotating menu here. Some standouts are the Korean churro, ube, and matcha. The texture on mochi doughnuts is what's most intriguing. They're crisp on the outside, chewy on the inside, and there's a light airiness to them which makes them dangerous. I could inhale these treats like air. Buy a box right now. Buy a box for your friend. And while you're at it, get a drink and a Korean corn dog on the side. read more
Finally made it here! We stopped by DaYung's first for drinks and headed over here for dessert. The specials this week were pineapple, strawberry, almond chocolate, original, Korean churro, and blackberry. I chose three: original, almond chocolate, and Korean churro for $9. I also grabbed a Hot Cheetos half hot dog and mozzarella. Donuts were tasty, light and chewy. Korean churro didn't have a distinct taste to me, maybe a stronger sesame flavor would be good. The chocolate was nice, tasted like a regular donut. The corn dog was interesting! I liked that I got to try the cheese and meat (all-beef), and the Hot Cheetos coating was messy but nice. I love hot dogs so this was a win for me. Glad that my friend and I had a spot to sit, eat and catch up. We enjoyed our food and would love to frequent more if I was closer and the price point was lower. read more

Am I the only one who thinks these doughnuts look like a baby's teething ring? Mochi doughnut is a doughnut that originated from Hawaii that is a combination of American doughnuts and Japanese mochi. Mochinut is gaining popularity owed to its unique shape and wonderful bouncy texture. It's crispy on the outside with a soft chewy inside. They're great. It's great. After having one, you'll feel great! For a drink, I got brown sugar milk tea. I normally skip boba but for $0.50, I figured I'd give them a try. The boba was perfectly chewy but you get a very meager serving of boba. It doesn't bother me but for boba enthusiasts, you'll probably be disappointed. We came during the soft opening and everything was tasty! I had to check what all the craze was. Mochinut had big crowd inside their small store. The lines went by quick but lots of people were waiting for their drinks and their special corn dogs. Mochinut had nice chewy texture; fun to try different flavors. Chocolate was my favorite. 3 for $9. It's very airy, fluffy and chewy all at the same time. I'm glad I tried it. I did it y'all. After searching for so long, I finally found Korean corn dogs. And it was so. good.... Mochinut is known for two things.... Their Korean corn dogs and mochi donuts.... Both delicious. The corn dogs you can get multiple styles of: classic corn dog, mozzarella, potato, etc. I tried the flamin' hot cheetos and mozzarella dog... OMG.... It was an experience. Amazing! After reading fellow Yelper's review this new spot, I had to give it a try! Very good, chewy, fresh donuts. A bit pricey, we paid $16.50 for half a dozen. $2.75 each. Taro, Churro, black sesame seed and chocolate with sprinkles were the flavors we selected. All of us agreed that the taro was light on flavor as was the Churro but sesame and chocolate were the faves. read more
