I love finding new businesses on Too Good To Go and Donut Parlor was such a delight! Not that the hubs and I needed a box of donuts but how can you deny such yumminess?? When you enter, the smell of all the delicious donuts just captivates you and the owner greeted us with such a warm smile and welcome. We told him we came to pickup a surprise box and he began to pack our box with goodies. We started to chat and he asked us where we were from and after we said Denver and that we were leaving the next day, he gave us a few more donuts for the flight home. The surprise box would have been more than enough but for him to give us more for our flight went far beyond our expectations! Searched out a creme brûlée donut and this place popped up. Upon entering, I was a bit skeptical because of how dirty the windows were. We entered around 9am ish and the donuts looked old. Not to mention, the cashiers outfit was dirty. However, I really wanted to give this place a try due the reviews. I originally was going to order a dozen donuts but everything was so off putting that I only ordered two creme brûlée donuts. And boy am I glad I did! The donuts were sooooo good! Light and airy with the proper creme brûlée crunchy top. The only downside was, the filling was not the right custard. It's vanilla pastry cream, which is different from custard. (I'm a baker and know the difference). All in all, the donut was exceptionally delicious and I'd definitely be back. Next time I'm going to come earlier to get a fresh dozen. read more

Not too many places in AZ serve it so was happy to find it here. The Hennessey crème brulee donut came with a shot of Henney and a raspberry. I'd say this one was my favorite. I like cream-filled donuts, love crème brulee , and I'm a dark liquor girl, so this was the perfect combo for me. I was going to try the ube cheesecake bar too but they sold out. Next time! I donut know why it's taken me so long to check out Donut Parlor! A friend and Yelper, Joyce W raves about Donut Parlor, so I knew it had to be good. I finally found myself in the area one afternoon in July and decided it was time. I was greeted right away. The shop is bright, clean, and inviting. I ordered a mix of gourmet, fancy filled, and classic donuts. To my pleasant surprise, the owner had just made a fresh batch of ube donuts and asked if I wanted to try one. As a big fan of ube, I was thrilled to hear this news! It's not on their regular menu, they last offered them in May for Asian Pacific Islander Heritage Month (APIHM). The donuts themselves were delicious. They were soft, fluffy, and had the right amount of sweetness. The flavors were also present without being overpowering. First time here and came because wife was craving raspberry filled donut. Small shop with a small selection of donuts. Wife asked about filled donuts which she was told they had two and asked what filling. So we learned that they fill upon request. She decided on lemon and raspberry...the two donuts were taken to the back to get filled. They are sliced opened and filled (see photo). I got the apple fritter. We took everything to go and were surprised that the three donuts were put in a paper bag. Haven't seen that before actually. They have the friendliest service I've ever come across in a donut shop. It seemed like they were genuinely happy to be there and proud of their products. I needed iced coffee. They have Cambodian iced coffee. Literally never had it before in my life. The girl said it's kind of like Vietnamese coffee but less sweet. Bruhhhhh it was so good!!! It has a nice roasted flavor but it isn't a "kick open doors" caffeine shot. It's more like, here's a nice caffeine hug. I think it's a strong medium roast, full-bodied, but less aggressive than Vietnamese coffee (which I also love). To me it tasted like there were notes of cocoa. It was less sweet, you can choose to add flavors to your coffee. I went with salted caramel which sounds super sweet but it was just right. If they had a shop closer to my side of town, I'd have to fight my coffee addiction harder. Do not skip this. The donuts. Yum. The dough is light and fluffy and not overly sweet. I bought 6. Some kindles of donuts cost a little bit extra but it's so worth it. I think they change up the flavors of donuts available. I was hoping they had some Ube, but they might not be the flavor of the month. I think they had it last week or something. I got a blueberry pie. Yummm. The blueberry pie tasted like a cross between blueberry pie and a soft donut, bc obviously, that's what it was. None of the flavors were lost in the combination though, so that's excellent. The maple wasn't too sweet, they had nuts on top, gave a nice balance to the sweetness. The Oreo was topped with an Oreo-filling like glaze and Oreo crumbs. The baby was so excited to see that one. She's obsessed with Oreo-flavored sweets. We also tried the fruity pebble donut. The Apple fritter was good but I wished it was a little more apple-y. Their standard glazed is fluffy and delightful. So tasty. Basically, they're really nice, & have a good base dough for the donut. Therefore you probably can't go wrong with any donut choice. Finally decided to try this local donut shop, we have passed it many times. I was craving some donuts this morning and wanted to try somewhere new. Staff was very friendly, they didn't seem to have a crazy amount of options or a lot of donuts left. Not sure if they close after they sell out or they just make small batches so they don't waste. They offered a few donuts with fruit compote, so we opted for the apple and blueberry. Also tried the Apple fritter and their maple bacon donut. Our highlight was the maple bacon, I would honestly go back just for that. The bacon was perfectly crisp and I love that the maple frosting wasn't overly sweet, mmmm it was delicious. The Apple fritter was nice and crisp, overall not bad, wish it had some more apple pieces instead of being so doughy. My wife really enjoyed their blueberry compote donut, that was probably my least favorite but I was also not in the mood for it. The Apple compote donut was soft and the filling was tasty, but overall nothing to rave about. I would still give it 4 stars because the donuts were fresh and definitely satisfied our craving. Found out about this place via a random reel on Instagram and I'm glad my girlfriend and I checked it out! Really great donuts with a lot of fun twists. I hate bready/cakey dry donuts and these were NOT the case! Airy, moist, just the right amount of chew = very satisfying! The different flavors were addicting as well, particularly the strawberry jelly and ube for me! Chaya (I hope I'm spelling his name right!) was super nice as well. Really friendly and great guy. The shop itself is small with no space to sit down and eat minus a couple of tablets just outside but that's okay, we were taking them to go anyway...or so we thought because we were so excited we ended up chowing down outside. I visited last week upon finishing an appointment in the area. It's super clean and bright. There isn't much room to sit, or eat in. The donuts are nicely displayed and the menu offers a variety of donuts and drinks. Service was great. Staff greeted me right away and was friendly while filling my order. I didn't love the Cookie Crisp or Fruit Loops donuts. There was nothing wrong with them, just not my taste. The other donuts were fresh and tasty. The taro smoothie was delish! They're sweet, but not so sweet you feel it after. I've been going here since 2019 and the owner is such an incredible, kind person who works hard to make delicious donuts! Wow oh wow this place has to be the best donut shop in Arizona. Located near old Town this is a hidden gem you have to try! Not only is their menu crazy good but the donut ms taste better than I could have eve hoped! They have anything from regulatory donuts, kolaxhes, crossings, to fancy donuts! I went here on a Saturday around 11. It wasn't busy at all. The staff was nice and quick to help. I was excited to take my son here because he absolutely loves donuts. Chocolate glazed donuts specifically. I like specialty flavors. The chocolate glazed one he got was really good, soft, and the perfect texture. I got the Cookie Crisp one. The cereal was really stale. There also weren't many of the flavors available. This was our first time here so I am not sure how they restock once they are out of a certain flavor. After ordering, I saw other customers ask for specific flavors from the back. I wish I had known that was an option. I think that is my main grip about this place. My favorite donut shop in the East Valley. We live about twenty minutes away but try to stop in at least once a month to get some donuts for the weekend. If you're feeling adventurous, you can combo it with a trip to Oragami Ramen, a couple of exits away. Not only are the donuts delicious, but the staff is always so friendly. When you walk in, you're always greeted while you scan through all the fun-looking donuts they have for the day. Many times we have gotten a couple of freebies that are secretly slipped in and such a fun surprise when you open the box. I would say that coming earlier than you planned is always a smart idea, as we have cut it close a few times, and they were out of stock. I think it's a good sign of quality when a food establishment runs out. It means they are high in demand and delicious. There is always plenty of parking in front as it's in the east corner of the strip mall where it's located. I know I'm pretty boring when it comes to donuts, but I love their glazed. Very airy but not too glazed. With some chain donut shops, the glazed is sometimes hardened on them, but a nice airy bight is perfection. The very nice worker through in a red velvet cake as a welcome extra! The dough is very light and airy, no greasy taste just nice puffy donut!! The flavors are endless we wanted to try them all!! I used to live very near The Donut Parlor, and I can say with certainty that nothing hit the spot better than a hot fresh donut from this little hole-in-the-wall joint. It got to be that I'd see the shop sign in passing and I'd take an inconvenient U-turn detour just to get me some hot, fluffy, artery filling donut. My fiance and I even went in there once and grabbed a donut while waiting for a table to open up at the place we were SUPPOSED to be going for breakfast just across the parking lot... This place has all your modern day fancy schmancies like the candy and cereal donuts. But my favorite has been (and always will be) the old fashioned glazed, and a traditional raised glazed donut. Their apple fritters and crumbles are fantastic as well. I think the most distinctive and charming thing about this spot though, of all things, is the door chime that sounds otherworldly. It never failed to make my man and I laugh and laugh. Im not sure the sound can be described as a chime so much anymore as a prolonged, mournful cry. It's like if a donkey hawing was put into an old pull string toy, and that toy sat there for 50 years and the pull string still works... but only kind of. "EEeeeEeeEe-AaAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaw". All donuts were in the circular ring style - no bars or twists that I saw - which made things easier when it came time to choose for my half dozen box ($5.89). It also made things neat and easy to fit in the box! When the friendly employee asked which donut I would like, I said, "All of them!" They look so good! The flavors that stood out are possibly two of my favorite breakfast flavors, Blueberry and Red Velvet, so, yes and yes to those! Then she hit me with, "Do you want the glazed or frosted?" "YES!" Two more to go and I had to get a chocolate and also their popular Maple Bacon. DaYum! I started with the maple bacon and it was fantastic!
