So... the donuts were ok here. We came to get a dozen for a staff meeting. There was one person dining inside when we walked in. We could hear staff in the back but didn't see anyone. We were talking pretty loudly in the lobby but still no one came out to take our order. I finally found one of those atrocious bells you ring for service on their cash register. I rang the bell and this very grumpy looking person came out from the back to take our order. She could not have been less thrilled that we were there. We did get the donuts finally, had to ask for a receipt. Donuts were enjoyable but service definitely was nothing to write home about. read more

Fridays, as long as I've lived in AZ & worked at my current role, are "Donut Fridays". When I used to work in-office, a longtime employee would always bring in donuts on Fridays. In keeping with that tradition since 2020, I've regularly gone thru the drive thru of Arizona Donut Co on Fridays (among a few other places around Tempe). They have a $4 or $5 minimum on credit card purchases, so instead of buying just a donut and coffee (normally $2-3), I have been buying a breakfast combo - comes with a massive croissant sandwich (one of the largest I've ever eaten), a side of 5-6 donut holes (YES PLEASE), and a drink. Being that I drink iced coffee only, there's a slight up-charge for going from a hot coffee (the standard drink for a combo) and adding in any syrup flavoring. Iced coffee is served in a boba cup/straw. It's not the best but it does the job. The donut holes are some of the best ever- buy those up in bulk if you need some for yourself, your family, and/or a party. TLDR- if you love donuts and/or breakfast, support this local biz. read more

The donuts are very good. The sandwiches are "ok". I would consider the croissant sandwiches with egg, bacon, sausage and cheese to be the best. Not the croissant with ham, jalapeños and cream cheese. Or even the one just with cream cheese. You just get a huge croissant with BARELY any filling. I even had cream cheese missing. Stellar donuts! Stopped in here based on recommendations from our fellow Yelpers and we were not disappointed. We shared a chocolate devils food with chocolate frosting (so much like my old faves at Winchell's!) and an apple fritter - so crunch and perfect with delicious apple flavor, and a lemon filled - all that soft pillowy donuts and luscious lemon filling. Rounding up but the apple fritter is a better than average doughnut. It had a crunchy exterior, consistent glaze, fluffy/moist inside, and great apple flavor. This place is in the same league as Bosa but better. The drive through has confusing hours posted on it but it is open for your morning commute. Just ignore the sign. The staff is friendly and fast. It's always kind of fun to look for a good dessert spot in towns that I visit. I am always a fan of donuts so felt like this would be a good place to visit based in the pics and reviews. Surprising, this donut shop is a standalone building that has a drive thru and caters to fully hungry patrons by offering crossaint style sandwiches. The seating area was probably as big as a b grade chains dining area like del taco or Arby's. The menu shows a picture of every donut they make and they are all 99 cents or less. Apple fritters and cinnamon rolls are my favorite so I was a bit worried they wouldn't have it. Well, they did. They have them in a mini size which is about the same size as a standard glazed donut. They also have stuffed donut holes with blueberry raspberry and Boston creme. They even have chocolate donut holes. I ended up doing 4 donuts and eating 2 so far for only about $4. I chose to try the standard glazed and the Apple fritter first and man were they good. They weren't overly buttery and tasted fresh even though it was already 530pm at that point. They had pretty consistent traffic of customers and the gal working was fast and friendly with everyone. It's definitely a good find and a great donut. When we entered, there was a vast selection of donuts including vegan donuts. Comparable to a donut shop like The Donut Pub in NYC, the donuts range from über traditional to some rare finds... Like a raspberry flavored donut?! Yes please. I ordered that and their pistachio milk tea! Yes! Two of one of the many flavors I love. Did they exceed my expectations? Absolutely! The raspberry donut was sweet but light and definitely fresh. The pistachio milk tea was flavorful just like drinking a pistachio icecream. The one thing I didn't realize until I checked into Yelp was the free doughnut with a purchase of the large bubble tea. We didn't get anything free so I was disappointed about that. The service was great. There was two young ladies working when I stopped by and they were both friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. Our drinks were delicious. I was impressed by the vast variety of options, by far the most options I've seen for drinks. There's smoothies, milk tea, teas, real fruit smoothies (these have fruit chunks) plus donuts and delicious croissants. We'll definitely be back to try more tasty drinks from that long list. read more

For the second weekend in a row, Arizona Donut has made vegan raised/glazed donuts available! I don't know if this is a "forever" thing or a test, but they were so good! When I was there, they had chocolate covered, glazed and donut holes. The donuts are light and fluffy, but with that perfect chewy consistency. It's a bit of a drive from north Phoenix just for donuts, but thankfully Hummus Xpress is in the same shopping plaza, so I could make it a two-fer trip! Service was fast and friendly.
