Pretty nice new coffee place but probably won't come back again. Two girls working there were super friendly. They recommended me the dirty Thai tea and I liked it. however, it almost took 20 mins to get the avocado ham toast ready. Actually I initially ordered avocado turkey toast but they did NOT have turkey. Later on I found out there were no napkins. They gave me a bunch of napkins afterwards which is very nice. Generally, I think they have the positive energy and friendly service. However, somehow I don't think they are fully ready for the business.

Went to brunch at Brunch snob and I don't care for their coffee drinks so I was excited to see this place in the same lot. My friends and I walked over. We got a hot green tea, a vanilla caramel cold brew, and dirty chai. I tried to order a horchata latte but was told they don't have that so went with the dirty chai instead. The inside is cute, very homey? Plenty of seating and some sort of hookah set up on the floor. Don't quote me, it could have been something else lol The girl at the counter was nice. My friends and I liked our drinks. They also have games available to play, which I think was nice. My only critique is the hot green tea still had a great value tag on it. A better quality tea would be more ideal for a cafe.

Where does bad coffee go when it dies? Perc-atory. No bad coffee here, folks. Where have you BEAN all my life? As I sit here (as the only patron) on a plush sofa drinking an AMAZING Americano, I fear this hidden treasure may meet the fate of so many other local owned coffee shops that don't have drive-thru's to serve the rushed masses and hurried hard-working public on the go. Hada's Cafe Lounge is for those who want to relax and enjoy their coffee and maybe a pastry. Their seating is very comfortable and well spaced. It feels homey and warm. If you ARE in a hurry, I still urge you to come here for your brew. There is plenty of parking and you can be in and out if you are willing to take a few extra minutes to leave your car. You will almost definitely be served by the owner or her kind-spirited mother. They are very nice and care about the quality of their products. I would also make a plea to all Arizona foodie influencers to visit Hada's. Give them a boost of business! This place deserves your support. Better Latte than never.

This is a great cafe to hang out with friends, meet a client or even read a book for an hour. The barista is really chill plus you get the Ethiopian artwork. The muzak played 90's mainstream.

An Ethiopian cafe with plenty of lounge seating and tables to do work or study at. The place has plenty of lighting and outlets. Coffee is good and strong. The smoothie is nice too. We didn't order any food but there's a small menu with pastry and sandwich options.

We just visited Hadas Cafe for the first time today. The coffee is amazing! The barista was super nice. The ambiance was great for either sitting and and chatting on one of several couches or working at one of the tables. We will definitely be back!

I am very gluten sensitive and wasn't sure what would be safe to order and it's very rare to begin with finding a place that advertises catering to such dietary restrictions. But Michelle -- the owner -- personally came over and took the time to guide me through the menu. Her warmth, knowledge, and genuine enthusiasm for accommodating gluten sensitivities immediately put me at ease. We both decided on the cinnamon roll, and honestly, it was the best pastry we've ever had. You can truly taste the difference in baked goods that are made fresh daily and never left sitting around -- the quality and care shine through in every bite. What meant the most to us was how Michelle came back to our table just to connect and chat. That kind of personal attention makes you feel less like a customer and more like part of the community. We cannot say enough wonderful things about Beg Bakery. This is the kind of small business that deserves to be celebrated and supported. We'll absolutely be back again and again as well as send all of our family and friends here!

There's no place to sit inside, but there are two nice parking spaces out in the front since it's a busy parking lot by a gym. They have several cases of sweet options, cakes that you can customize on the spot, and pastries that are topped fresh to order. They also have so many cake pop flavors. I didn't even know how to decide! The owner, Melissa, was so sweet to me! I asked her questions about the business, and what they do for catering. I love supporting local businesses, especially bakeries because I'm a baker myself. I talked to her about customizing an order for my place of employment in the next couple of months and she was totally on board to customize it how I wanted. Aside for my too good bag, I ended up buying an ube cake pop and a Boston cream tart, and both are out of this world! On Fridays and Saturdays, they do buy one get one free cake, pops, so it's a perfect opportunity to try all of the flavors! Definitely try this place, you will not be disappointed!

The bakery itself is very nice and clean, with an open kitchen and workspace where you can watch the decorators at work. The cookies were some of the best I've ever had. I've ordered custom cookies before that were a bit hard, but these were so soft and absolutely beautiful. I'll definitely be using them again in the future. I also thought my cake turned out super cute. If I had to nitpick, I wish the 30 had been in a slightly bolder font like my photo reference, but overall they did a great job. The cake was also quite large and heavy. I believe I ordered the 10 inch, and it was very tall. The picture honestly doesn't do it justice. I chose the cookies and cream flavor, and it was pretty good.

In our day's Sunnyslope business, our niece took us to Kris Frybread. Arriving we saw Dawn's. She said Dawn's gets high ratings too. After our excellent Kris meal I made my way to Dawn's. I am infamous in the family for my dessert rxtravagance. But I share with all at our table. Take your choice! Our niece got cannoli, I got lidded shortbread custard cups, vanilla and almond. Sweet D got a cherry and an apple turnover delivered into the box. It is five days later. My sugar intake has dropped a lot. In our home baking we cut sugar ingredients by half. Older Hopi bakers put in enough sugar for a hint of sweet in their cookies. Modern bakers glaze them. I'll take those traditional ones. When I say the shortbread cup with custard was too sweet for me, that's my 21st century palate speaking. The almond cup was a buy-again item for me, still sweet, very almond. The cherry turnover was flaky, the filling tart, oozing fillng and cherries. The gold medal, blue ribbon "I'd buy this again, for sure is the apple turnover. I can't speak on the customer service as we never left our table and our waited just walked over and got what we needed. We were pretty stuffed from our massive meal, but we decided on sharing a cup of gelato just to satisfy our sweet tooth. I peeked inside as our table was right at a little walkway from the restaurant to the bakery. Gelato is just one of many things they serve here. They also have all your typical Italian desserts. Cakes like tiramisu, pastries like Italian flag cookies, cookies like Italian wedding cookies, cannolis of different varieties, and of course gelato. What was suggested to us if we wanted gelato was the hazelnut flavor. I was expecting a little cup for the 6 of us just to get a taste, but what he brought over was a massive serving. I don't know how many scoops it was or even how much we even paid, but we all got plenty with some even left behind. Now this gelato was life changing. Probably the best I've had in the states. I know it's gotta be way better in Italy, but I'll take what I can when I can. Think of a Ferrero Rocher but in gelato form. It was delicious and I couldn't get enough of it. It wasn't overly sweet and it had a little crunch with bits of chocolate and hazelnuts. My sweet tooth was extremely satisfied after having dessert here. I have literally been thinking about that gelato since I left Phoenix. Luckily this company has locations in Texas so I will definitely be seeking out this gelato soon.

While I was still in NYC with my family on XMas eve eve, it hit me... I need to bring something besides wine everytime I go to their home. Nor a Southern dish. I wanted something unapologetically New Yaek. And what's more New Yawk than a box of classic Italian cookies? After asking a few Yelp friends where to find the best Italian cookies in Phoenix, The Sicilian Baker kept coming up. I called them last minute on Christmas Eve eve, having never been there before, totally sight unseen. First of all, their voicemail is hilarious. Truly. If you do nothing else, call just to hear it. It will instantly make you want to order something. Once I reached a real person, I explained my situation, that I wouldn't be able to come in beforehand, I needed a beautiful cookie tray for about 14-16 people, and I had a few must have preferences. Without hesitation, they said, "We got you." I was assured it would be ready when I landed on Xmas eve. Sure enough, after my partner picked me up from the airport, we headed straight to The Sicilian Baker. Parking right out front, a huge plus. As soon as you pull in, you're greeted with Frank Sinatra playing, not just inside, but even in the parking lot. It sets the tone immediately. We walked in, gave my name, and within minutes a lovely young person brought out my tray. Ten minutes later, we were on our way. Easy. Efficient. Warm service that made me actually grab a small box of cookies to drop my besties home on the way outta there. I didn't even realize at first that there's a sit down restaurant next door where you can relax and enjoy something. Great to know for next time ;) . Now, let's talk about the cookies. Yes, they are on the pricier side, but every single dollar was worth it. The tray was robust. Classic Italian pastries across the board like lobster tails, tri-colored almond cakes, cannolis, and all the favorites you hope for when you're trying to impress a room full of potential inlaws. And impress it did. The moment I walked in with that tray, it was a hit. People were already claiming which pastries they wanted, plotting what they'd take home, and hovering before dinner was even finished. There was more than enough for 16 people, grand is the only word for it, which is my style 1,000%. To this day, they're still talking about those cookies which makes me phenomenally proud (and humbled). I say this in all my reviews, "I hate almost everything. I'm discerning. I'm critical. And when something truly represents what I stand for - quality, authenticity, and heart, I will shout it from the rooftops". The Sicilian Baker delivered New York level excellence in Phoenix! Do not walk, runswiftly to this place if you need a gift, a show stopping dessert, or simply want to treat yourself. I cannot wait to go back. Highly, highly recommended.

The pastries on the shelves literally speak to you, they actually beg YOU to "pick me, pick me". Your biggest dilemma here, will be how do you want to eat your gorgeous calories. These delicate pastries are absolutely delightful. We got three... 2 for there, 1 for home. Waaaaa! It was such a far drive we should have gotten 6! Storytime: They are VERY hygenically aware - a bit over the top -- but I do appreciate that, especially since they are self serve to the public (the public I don't really trust when it comes to hygine, lol). Even though it's Scottsdale, I am still skeptical. Ok, here's the protocol: You are suppose to open up the pastry doors, use tongs and put your little blessing of a selection your tray, then you pay at the counter. (BTW, this self serve part is not very French!) A few people that were choosing their pastries were a bit rude, hogging the windows, not getting out of the way for others, chatting in front of the doors blocking others from being able to make a choice and letting their kiddo press up against the glass witht their fingers and mouth. I know, I know, this place is like DISNEYLAND for Pastries.... it IS TOTALLY EXCITING! I don't blame the cute kiddos for their excitement. I turned into a 4 year old here as well. I am just sharing the experience! Then when one of the 'overly bejewled kinda oblivious ladies" went up to pay for her chocolate croissant, and asked for it to be warmed -- she was told "that can't happen, because the croissant might explode in the oven and they don't ever heat the pastries that have fillings!" The shocked woman, could not believe that. After she expressed that she didn't want it if it wasn't going to be heated, the man behind the counter took her pastry away and told her what other pastries she could pick out to be warmed. She insisted that she would put her chocolate croissant back on the shelf as "she didn't touch it." The guy behind the counter, said, "Oh no, we can't do that. If it comes off the shelf and if you don't want it, because we can't warm it, we have to throw it away!" She was appalled that A. they would not warm it B. That he wouldn't let her return it to the shelf for another to have and C. That he was going to throw it away. I wanted to sweetly suggest to her, 'Why don't you just eat that gorgeous scrumptios thing? It will be great even at room temp.' However, she looked a little aggressive so I didn't speak my thoughts outloud. I don't hold that against the shop. I thought to myself all the work late at night and early in the morning that went into making these gorgeous pastries! Whomever is up baking them is a real gem in this world. THEY are literally ART! Parisian streets are lined with gorgeous pastries, but American's can hardly ever find a shop like this one. Let's LOVE THESE PEOPLE!!!!! I fell in love with watching the cake baker frost the rainbow cake. I thought, "this would be such a fun job!" See my video : ) She is so talented and so fast. I wanted to take a class from her! I do think it would be nicer if a person behind the counter served up the pastries, but in truth they have way too many choices probably to do that. However, they could put a sample out in a case, and keep the ones they serve to customers in the back, like a dougnut or bagel shop. Just pastries for thought! Enjoy this place. I wish so much we had one in Seattle. I was visiting Phoenix when I found this treasure chest of a place. Absolutely WONDERFUL! PS the man behind the counter didn't give my Mother in Law her turkey baget she ordered, after we paid for it. Waaaa.... that was a bummer and it was too far across town to go back. I don't hold it agains the adorableness of the shop and still give it 5 stars and still will go back everytime I come back home. He was brand new and being trained and we didn't think to look inside our pastery box... we had just assumed it was in there, only to find out, when we got home it wasn't. Regardless, 5 stars and these pastries and the chefs deserve the rewards!
