I donut know why it's taken me so long to check out Donut Parlor! A friend and Yelper, Joyce W raves about Donut Parlor, so I knew it had to be good. I finally found myself in the area one afternoon in July and decided it was time. I was greeted right away. The shop is bright, clean, and inviting. I ordered a mix of gourmet, fancy filled, and classic donuts. To my pleasant surprise, the owner had just made a fresh batch of ube donuts and asked if I wanted to try one. As a big fan of ube, I was thrilled to hear this news! It's not on their regular menu, they last offered them in May for Asian Pacific Islander Heritage Month (APIHM). The donuts themselves were delicious. They were soft, fluffy, and had the right amount of sweetness. The flavors were also present without being overpowering. I would highly recommend Donut Parlor to anyone looking for a tasty and enjoyable donut experience. I can't wait to go back and try more flavors!
First time here and came because wife was craving raspberry filled donut. Small shop with a small selection of donuts. Wife asked about filled donuts which she was told they had two and asked what filling. So we learned that they fill upon request. She decided on lemon and raspberry...the two donuts were taken to the back to get filled. They are sliced opened and filled (see photo). I got the apple fritter. We took everything to go and were surprised that the three donuts were put in a paper bag. Haven't seen that before actually. Got home we both agreed that the donuts and fritter were good, not greasy at all, I loved all of the apples in the fritter. Wife liked the fillings, I didn't care for the jellied like lemon filling. Too gummy for me!
They have the friendliest service I've ever come across in a donut shop. It seemed like they were genuinely happy to be there and proud of their products. I needed iced coffee. They have Cambodian iced coffee. Literally never had it before in my life. The girl said it's kind of like Vietnamese coffee but less sweet. Bruhhhhh it was so good!!! It has a nice roasted flavor but it isn't a "kick open doors" caffeine shot. It's more like, here's a nice caffeine hug. I think it's a strong medium roast, full-bodied, but less aggressive than Vietnamese coffee (which I also love). To me it tasted like there were notes of cocoa. It was less sweet, you can choose to add flavors to your coffee. I went with salted caramel which sounds super sweet but it was just right. If they had a shop closer to my side of town, I'd have to fight my coffee addiction harder. Do not skip this. The donuts. Yum. The dough is light and fluffy and not overly sweet. I bought 6. Some kindles of donuts cost a little bit extra but it's so worth it. I think they change up the flavors of donuts available. I was hoping they had some Ube, but they might not be the flavor of the month. I think they had it last week or something. I got a blueberry pie. Yummm. The blueberry pie tasted like a cross between blueberry pie and a soft donut, bc obviously, that's what it was. None of the flavors were lost in the combination though, so that's excellent. The maple wasn't too sweet, they had nuts on top, gave a nice balance to the sweetness. The Oreo was topped with an Oreo-filling like glaze and Oreo crumbs. The baby was so excited to see that one. She's obsessed with Oreo-flavored sweets. We also tried the fruity pebble donut. The Apple fritter was good but I wished it was a little more apple-y. Their standard glazed is fluffy and delightful. So tasty. Basically, they're really nice, & have a good base dough for the donut. Therefore you probably can't go wrong with any donut choice. If I lived closer I'd probably be giving summer my winter body. #worthit
Finally decided to try this local donut shop, we have passed it many times. I was craving some donuts this morning and wanted to try somewhere new. Staff was very friendly, they didn't seem to have a crazy amount of options or a lot of donuts left. Not sure if they close after they sell out or they just make small batches so they don't waste. They offered a few donuts with fruit compote, so we opted for the apple and blueberry. Also tried the Apple fritter and their maple bacon donut. Our highlight was the maple bacon, I would honestly go back just for that. The bacon was perfectly crisp and I love that the maple frosting wasn't overly sweet, mmmm it was delicious. The Apple fritter was nice and crisp, overall not bad, wish it had some more apple pieces instead of being so doughy. My wife really enjoyed their blueberry compote donut, that was probably my least favorite but I was also not in the mood for it. The Apple compote donut was soft and the filling was tasty, but overall nothing to rave about. I would still give it 4 stars because the donuts were fresh and definitely satisfied our craving. It was a perfect day to sit outside, they offer a couple of tables in the front of the store so you can sit down and enjoy a bite.
Found out about this place via a random reel on Instagram and I'm glad my girlfriend and I checked it out! Really great donuts with a lot of fun twists. I hate bready/cakey dry donuts and these were NOT the case! Airy, moist, just the right amount of chew = very satisfying! The different flavors were addicting as well, particularly the strawberry jelly and ube for me! Chaya (I hope I'm spelling his name right!) was super nice as well. Really friendly and great guy. Anyone craving great donuts should definitely come support this small business.
I tried this spot a couple of months ago and wanted to complete my review as they deserve kudos for what they're creating here! We opted for half a dozen to get a chance to try a variety of options and were surprised about them almost selling out mid morning so that had to be a good sign! The service was nice and pretty straightforward with no complaints. The shop itself is small with no space to sit down and eat minus a couple of tablets just outside but that's okay, we were taking them to go anyway...or so we thought because we were so excited we ended up chowing down outside. Lol. We had blueberry, apple, and the standout of the bunch was the maple bacon. OMG honestly the best one I have had so far! Kudos to them because I would couple back for a dozen of them regularly. Lol.
I visited last week upon finishing an appointment in the area. It's super clean and bright. There isn't much room to sit, or eat in. The donuts are nicely displayed and the menu offers a variety of donuts and drinks. Service was great. Staff greeted me right away and was friendly while filling my order. I didn't love the Cookie Crisp or Fruit Loops donuts. There was nothing wrong with them, just not my taste. The other donuts were fresh and tasty. The taro smoothie was delish! Prices were reasonable. I'd go back, again. There were still several choices I didn't get to try.
Donut Parlor is home to THE BEST DONUTS IN ARIZONA!! I will continue to shout this from the rooftops as long as anyone will listen. Their donuts are so incredibly fluffy and delicious. They're sweet, but not so sweet you feel it after. I've been going here since 2019 and the owner is such an incredible, kind person who works hard to make delicious donuts! If you're in the area (or even if you aren't) Donut Parlor is worth a stop! Their Ube donut is one of my favorites. Not to mention, they also make amazing donuts for parties-- they wrote out "Happy Graduation" in donuts for me when I graduated from ASU! They also make Texas sized donuts which are huge and great for sharing. Or, in my case, eating in one sitting in front of the TV! This is a wonderful small business and a family owned establishment and I will continue to go there as my go-to donut destination! I can't say it enough-- I absolutely love Donut Parlor!!
One of our friends got us a box of donuts and at first sight they looked so creative. Each piece curated to perfection, the toppings looked great. Though I was intimidated by the amount of sugar Each donut might have I convinced myself it's just going to be one. Well, whom am I kidding. Took a bite at the fresh donut and it was filled with deliciousness. It was soft, fluffy and made fresh on order. I definitely couldn't stop at one. Honestly I'm not fan of toppings, I enjoy the donut in itself and this place guarantees that. Every flavor I tried was unique in its own ways and pretty good. Definitely recommend this place for all your sugar cravings
Wow oh wow this place has to be the best donut shop in Arizona. Located near old Town this is a hidden gem you have to try! Not only is their menu crazy good but the donut ms taste better than I could have eve hoped! They have anything from regulatory donuts, kolaxhes, crossings, to fancy donuts! It was overwhelming to narrow down the flavors as everything sounded and looked amazing! A couple we almost tried were the pie flavors, ferro roche, corssiant, and pb and j. We tried a moch@ Butterbeer donut, strawberry shortcake that tasted just like the icecream, and a creme Brule donut. It's difficult to sat whixh was th best cause they were so good. The creme Brule filling was the bomb and the strawberry short cake just had an unbelievable flavor! Staff was super nice as well. Can't wait to go back@

All donuts were in the circular ring style - no bars or twists that I saw - which made things easier when it came time to choose for my half dozen box ($5.89). It also made things neat and easy to fit in the box! When the friendly employee asked which donut I would like, I said, "All of them!" They look so good! The flavors that stood out are possibly two of my favorite breakfast flavors, Blueberry and Red Velvet, so, yes and yes to those! Then she hit me with, "Do you want the glazed or frosted?" "YES!" Two more to go and I had to get a chocolate and also their popular Maple Bacon. DaYum! I started with the maple bacon and it was fantastic! The bacon crisps were a nice crunch texture over the sweet maple frosting. And speaking of crisp, the dough is unlike most typical donut spots that's soft and fluffy. Palace has their dough a little thicker and even has a light crunch on the outside which I find to really like. I got the half dozen box planning to eat three today and three tomorrow, but guess what... I devoured the six in one sitting. I'm gonna have to go back tomorrow, and get a full dozen. read more

Absolutely the best donuts around! They're not too sweet and they don't make you feel gross after eating 3 My favorite is the UBE CREAM on the secret menu. My goodness it's incredible. The staff is so kind and the owner is one of the nicest and most humble community supporters you'll ever meet! He's truly about giving to the community. Donut parlor is the truth! read more
I'm guessing this is a new business because it looks like they are still working out the bugs. Hoping they can figure things out sooner than later. I'm rooting for this place! There wasn't a big variety of donuts when I was there. In fact, another customer came in and said she was surprised to see so few donuts available. Apparently they had a walk in customer who bought 15 dozen donuts without pre-ordering. Well that was rude. The two employees seemed to be frazzled while I was there and watched the handful of people come in. At one point, they both were in the back for a while with people waiting. I felt bad for them as they probably didn't know what to do after the large order. The donuts are decent. Not quite Donut Bar status, but fancier than Bosa. I will probably try them again if I'm out that way. Try the maple bacon, it's yummy. read more

In town visiting some friends, I wanted to bring some treats for the kids. I'm not exactly sure how I discovered this place, whether it was on FB or Instagram, but I had this spot bookmarked. So this was our first stop after landing. I arrived within an hour to spare before they closed and lucky for me, they still had some of the popular flavors I wanted. Must: Red Velvet crumbles, Lemon Poppy, and blueberry. Seasonal: Pumpkin Pie - OMG: sugar heaven! Besides the fact that the donut itself was deliciously soft, the crumbles with the pumpkin flavor filling and a light drizzle of caramel all together was such an amazing bite! Definitely a food-gasm experience lol. I also tried the Vietnamese coffee and the milk green tea. Pretty darn good too. I found out that they make giant sized donuts too! So I secretly put in an order for my husband's birthday since we'll be celebrating it here. I decided to go with a vanilla frost with blueberry crumble. I added the numbers 3 and 6 - letters D, H with ube and white sprinkles. The gal that helped me, Jennifer, was very sweet and took the time to tailor to my liking. When I picked up the order, they even threw in a few other donuts! He was super surprised and enjoyed the donuts along with everyone else. We liked the donuts so much, we took some back to LA just before we took off to the airport. If you're flying into or out of PHX, it's really a short drive from there. read more
This is the best Donut Place in the East Valley! My 3 year old is a donut connoisseur. He knows specifically what he likes in a donut. A chocolate glazed donut is his favorite. I like Ube Donuts and 1. I don't know many places that make them and 2. Not many make them deliciously. I've tried a few types and have ordered a few boxes from here and they are all top notch. Impressive display for your business clientele especially if our clientele is SE Asian or Latino. The donuts are fluffy and fresh. The service is excellent and caring. My friend has told me about this place months ago and we actually came across Donut Parlor unexpectedly one day. My sister and mom was in town and as we were driving them to go get Dutch Bros coffee, I had seen the sign for Donut Parlor. Immediately we made a U-turn and stopped by I was hesitant about their donut selections but to my surprise there were still so many to choose from even during the late afternoon hours. The owner was extremely friendly and helped us choose some of the donuts and offered us great recommendations. We picked out 6 different types of donuts which came with donut holes as well, yum!! We were even offered free Cambodian iced coffees! It must've been fate. Sorry Dutch Bros, maybe next time We each tried bites out of every donut we picked and we loved them all! I don't think you can go wrong here! read more

I finally got to try the Donut Parlor after wanting to make my way out there for quite some time. It was well worth the wait. First off, the service is excellent. The girl seemed more than happy to humor me when I asked for a rundown on aaaaalllllllllllll the donuts they had (since it was my first time there). She mentioned her personal favorite (the blueberry cake donut and the strawberry filled donut) and the fan favorites (the bacon donut and the fruity pebbles donut). We ended up getting a fruity pebbles donut and a glaze with red velvet crumbles since I wanted a yeast donut as opposed to a cake one, but the blueberry one and lemon poppy seed one were very appealing. I also mentioned how I saw ube ones on their social media, and the owner offered to make me them! How cool, right? As far as the donuts, I really liked them! My friend loves Hurts, and he said that they were definitely on par. I liked the donuts because the glazed one wasn't overly sweet - you can actually taste the dough. They also weren't greasy. Two big pluses in my book! The fruit pebbles was sweeter because of the toppings, but that's to be expected. We also had to get a Cambodiann iced coffee (similar to a Vietnamese iced tea, but not as sweet) and a Thai tea to wash it down, and both were refreshing. Overall a great experience. Plus, they deliver!! Thumbs up. I guarantee if you brought these into your office, you'd be a hit. ;) read more

I love supporting local businesses when I can, so hearing Donut Parlor's story made me incredibly happy. Owned by a Cambodian family, they make all their donuts fresh at 4:30 AM and can take requests to order. A supervisor of mine put in a late request for 4 dozen assorted donuts to be picked up at 5:30 AM, and they happily accommodated! And boy did we get an assortment to choose from. The donuts were all colorful and adorned with different glazes, chocolates, cereals, cookies and/or flavorings. Literally insert heart eyes emoji. I'm not a huge donut person, but the variety really ensures that there's something there for everyone. I personally tried the red velvet donut from the assortment and it wasn't overly sweet - just how I like it. I'm excited to come back and try more flavors! read more
5 stars all day!! First off chatting with the owner /employees and chatting with them about the donut parlor concept and covid etc was a good experience. Then I finally got to try my donuts. The strawberry was really good. Not too sweet. Pumpkin seasonal flavor was amazing. Glaze was just perfect. All the donuts had the correct texture. Very easy to eat!! I'll be back! Truly, the best customer service I have experienced in a very long time! It's family owned and operated; and the donuts are delicious! It was my first time and I had ordered a large #3 donut for my daughters birthday, and when I came to pick it up it was fresh and clearly just made. Soooo fluffy. They also gave us a dozen of their gourmet donuts for free, just because I had to wait a little longer. Totally unexpected but completely appreciated. The Cambodian Iced coffee; also delicious! I will definitely be a returning customer. The people that run this place are the true stars of this establishment. read more

This donut spot is the BEST donut spot in Arizona period. The donuts are amazing. Not only are there donuts delicious but theme of the donut parlor the whole vibe in there is on point! Dude there in the mornings on Thursday is reallllll chill. I got the dopest lil stickers too. Honestly thank you for making the donut parlor! We got the Red velvet, bear claw, blueberry, cinnamon crumble, lemon poppy, and also the huge cinnamon roll soo good. read more

Just okay donuts. They didn't have any filled donuts at open on Sunday morning, which was a bummer. Was looking forward to trying Nutella or the lemon blueberry filled, and a Boston creme for the bf. I've never had a specialty donut before and ended up feeling less than thrilled. The Oreo had stale cookies and then was the same exact donut as the Animal Cracker and the MnM so probably won't bother eating those as the donut itself was kinda boring. Even the chocolate I was craving was just kinda lackluster, didn't even have a great fresh taste. I would go back to try the boba as they are the closest place to me but wouldn't bother with the donuts again. read more

My sister Joyce W. and her husband brought home some donuts and they were pretty good. I like how the donuts were light and airy and not cake like. This will allow you to eat more and not feel too bad afterwards. I did not get to go to the location, so I cannot report on their service or cleanliness of the place, or the quality of there loo. But their donuts are good, so go give them a try! read more
This place is on the way to my work. I really love it and made by locally and done right! The place was the star among the buildings that surrounding it. The interior is minimalistic but comfy. The donuts look really yummy, especially the cereal donuts. I've been there many times to give a review to them. The food is great and they serve decent iced coffees. The customer service is welcoming and friendly. All the people that work near Elliot Rd., dont be scared wasting your time here. It's worth it! read more
Donut Parlor is a great choice for a morning treat! They offer many different donut options that have a cereal topping, along with other popular picks such as apple fritters, bear claws, and so on. The best part about each donut is that it's not oily but rather it's completely soft & fluffy, and that definitely shines through! Toppings are great, but here, they're secondary to the donut itself. I've stopped in a few times and honestly haven't had a donut I didn't enjoy. I have seen on their menu board that they have croissants and boba tea as well. I'll be back for those one day and would definitely recommend stopping by! read more

It doesn't look like they do, judging by their menu. I'm sure that you could special order them if you call ahead, but they would likely make you purchase in quantity for a special request. I'd call, probably.
