First time I had it 5 stars, that pesto is so flavorful I thought there was meat on it (mind you I'm a pescatarian, so I was scared for a minute) Second time, the ciabatta was fighting me back (chewy like it had beef with me), so 4 stars. But flavor..still slaps. Third time is a charm....back to 5 stats! Now, about the doughnuts! They're fluffy, they're pretty, they come dressed to impress. But the toppings! Whew, sweet on sweet on sweet. And this is coming from me, someone who never says no to sugar. If my sweet tooth is waving the white flag, you know it's serious. The turtle donut looked fabulous, but had very little caramel flavour in the topping The lemon was more artificial than real lemon flavour The coconut donut was the winner. I love parlor. They have the best donuts on campus and they have great coffee. I've gotten their pumpkin spiced latte a few times and it's consistently good. Came here actually on Thanksgiving but was closed (should have assumed that) however we were out and about and decided to pop in on our way home. My wife has been to the Oceanside location in Cali so she was pretty impressed. Coffee is good, although I had to ask if they could heat my Americano in the microwave as it was luke warm only. Got the maple bacon and bourbon caramel donuts. They tased good but the dough was a little chewy - May have been yesterday's bake! Overall the coffee is very nice (Che k your preferred temps tho). Not impressed. I found this place through an Instagram video and was excited to try it but was dissapointed when I walked in. The employees weren't that welcoming or excited. The place is cute and decorated nicely. A good amount of the doughnut flavors were already sold out at 9 am on a Wednesday morning. I tried the churro and carnival doughnuts. This place is right next-door to my barbershop. I accidentally found it on Saturday afternoon. We have my daughter were together so we stopped to have a pastry. I was gonna get coffee but the donuts looks so good. I decided to get a doughnut. To buy delight, it was incredible. I got a blueberry donut. All the donuts are made fresh and they have like a croissant layering to the donuts, which is so amazing. I will definitely be back for more. They have a very convenient underground parking lot, which is connected directly to the back door to get into the business list. Service was OK. The lady at the desk was nice but she wasn't really cheerful, but maybe she was just tired and ready to go and enjoy the rest of her Saturday. The atmosphere of the place was great nice sitting areas. Nice merchandise set up very spacious. Overall my visit was incredible and I can't wait to go back next week and try a different donut and also try the coffee this time. This is my favorite donut in Tempe. They call it a layered donut but it's a cronut, right? It's crunchy on the outside and buttery and chewy on the inside. It's quite a sugar bomb. I'd love to see a donut that's a little less sweet. I wish the raspberry was tart here. The fruit covered donut with a light whipped topping would be nice too. The space is so clean and aesthetic and maybe it was a fluke when we went but it was nice and quiet. Perfect for getting some work done while enjoying a special treat. They had so many options so we took our time picking out which ones to get and they were so patient with us. Ultimately we opted for the bourbon caramel, strawberry shortcake, and their most popular--French toast. Each flavor was spot on to what they said in the description without it being overpowering with sweetness. They are genuinely were so good but my favorite of the three was the bourbon caramel.
