Tried the turtle cheesecake donut. It tasted good. Also , they have keto, gluten free and vegan options, which tend to be pricier but I think is worth it to have them to fulfill the sweet of. Today was my second visit to this new coffee/doughnut shop. It was clean, the decor is nice, and the staff is friendly. I like their latte choices, but I'm watching my sugar intake, so I tried a breakfast taco instead. An order comes with 2 - tacos were fresh and delicious. I live in the neighborhood. I look forward to taking my father here when he visits soon. I highly recommend Parlar Doughnuts. read more

I have been waiting for a good quality donut shop to show up here in AZ, after trying Blue Star donuts in Portland and this place did not disappoint. There's one other shop I like here in AZ in Scottsdale, but all the shops just feel subpar. They have this like brioche croissant type of donut that's so rich and flavorful. I visited parlor donuts on their grand opening day. All of the staff was very nice and I really liked the decor/set up of the bakery. I bought three donuts and I have to say I'm not a fan. I think I like the traditional cake doughnuts and not the fried croissant sort of Cronut. The inside was kind of doughy - not a texture I liked. I probably won't be back for their "donuts", but maybe I'll try a coffee there someday. read more

Couldn't imagine what all the Parlor fuss was about, and now I understand! Imagine doughnut meets croissant meets eclair meets pie. Best of every dessert world. Oh my! These are definitely not the donuts you get at the grocery store or an ordinary donut store chain. The outside has a perfect thin crispness, followed by a fluffy inside. It's at least twice the size of an ordinary donut. I chose the raspberry filled one and had plenty of filling topped with a generous sprinkle of powdered sugar. I'm looking forward to trying many of the other flavors. Please don't drive by this location without stopping. You don't know what you're missing. I'm extremely used to lackluster or disappointing baked goods being gluten free. Generally, unless it's a dedicated restaurant or something that's naturally gluten free, the texture will probably be off. It might be kind of dense or dry or whatever, but still satisfy a need for a sweet treat. The gluten free donut base here both has an extremely off putting texture and flavor. Simultaneously gritty and gummy. I imagine it's what eating Moon Sand might be like. The flavor could potentially be Moon Sand-esque as well. A lack of any sweetness, and I think the leading flavor is caused by the choice of garbanzo bean flour? I don't know who tested this recipe and gave it the green light, but my guess is someone that's unfamiliar with gluten free baking (and eating) and decided, "Welp, this is good enough, they've got an option!" I took one single bite and threw both of the donuts I bought in the trash. I cannot say this enough: I would rather have no option at a restaurant than a bad one. Please stop. read more

We had tried them in Cali so excited to see them in AZ! The donuts all have the same cronut base with different fillings/flavors added to that base. I think because of this they won't replace our "regular" donut shops with traditional choices like maple bars but we will love to swap it in and it's a great dessert as well. I love this place and was very excited to bring my friend here because I saw that you offer gluten free donuts. We go and get some and find that the gluten free donuts are horrible. How can you offer a gluten free option but not put as much care into the recipe as you do your normal donuts ? You cannot say that you're food is inclusive to peoples dietary restrictions when its clear that you do not put any thought into making that recipe any good. I challenge the bakers to try the gluten free donut and really ask yourself if you would eat it. Super disappointed. read more

When I first heard about Parlor opening in Tempe, I was so excited! Glad to say that the donuts did not disappoint. The inside of the place was so cute and there's even a relaxing outdoor area. Customer service was great as well. Everything on display looked delicious, but we only got to try the double chocolate and blueberry. Both were fantastic.
