I recently tried Creampuff and had a good overall experience. We ordered the churro donut and the crème brûlée donut. The churro was solid--I'd rate it a 7/10, with a nice cinnamon sugar flavor. The crème brûlée donut was definitely the standout for me, I'd give it a 9/10. It had great flavor and was the better of the two. The girl at the front was very helpful and took the time to explain the different options, which I really appreciated. The inside of the shop is also really spacious, which I loved. it makes it a nice place to sit and hang out. That said, the overall quality was good but not amazing, and I wouldn't necessarily go out of my way to come back. One downside was the parking situation, it's pretty tight out front and the curb is really high. I actually scraped the bottom of my car door when opening it, which was frustrating. Creampuff donuts & coffee has some next level pastries and there's a huge seating area if you want to be there for a bit. The donut shop appears to be sharing space with a CCV church. No church things were happening during my visit. I had this on my list to try, and I was in the area, so I went in around noon. Not busy by that time since it's already lunch. There were a few people ordering in front of me and a couple people sitting at tables. Staff was friendly. I'm not sure how busy it gets in the morning or during a regular work day (I went on MLK day after attending the MLK March in downtown Phx). I found parking right out front and paid the meter. I wasn't there long so it didn't cost much. Most of the parking in that area is metered. I decided to get one donut and one other pastry. They all looked great so I just went with what sounded good in the moment-- the strawberry shortcake donut and cinnamon roll. I took them both TO GO and tried them a couple hours later. And when I say tried them, I mean that. I couldn't eat them in one sitting. Both are pretty big and like little mini dessert cakes, to me. The strawberry layered donut is stuffed with strawberry jam and has vanilla icing & crumble on top. Because it has the jam, it stays a nice texture even hours later. Doesn't get dried out. This is essentially like a "cronut". The cinnamon roll has pecans, caramel, and icing and it's decadent. I heated it up just a little and it's awesome. I didn't get coffee, couldn't decide what I wanted and had to get going. Maybe next time. I would definitely stop by again when I'm in the area craving a sweet pastry treat. read more

I've been meaning to check this place off my list and finally did on a Sunday afternoon around 130p. There was ample paid curbside parking using the ParkMobile app at the front. The grand double doors led into a large open space shared with other businesses (didn't go deep enough to explore), but there was still ample seating at the front of the business. I was between the maple bacon and cookie butter and opted for the maple bacon after asking my cashier for her recommendation. As expected, the frosting was sweet but balanced with the crispy, savory bacon on top. The croissant was flaky but dense, and I opted to use their silverware to enjoy my treat, opposed to using my hands/biting directly into it. Extremely filling dessert, and my only critique is that it was overall too sweet. I'd expect a maple bacon donut to be more balanced between sweet and savory, but it felt like 85% sweet 15% savory, even when accounting for the neutral croissant itself. Overall enjoyed my experience here and am excited to try their coffee specials next time if I come earlier and have more time to spend here savoring the drink. read more

This was a unique find in the Phoenix warehouse district. The coffee here was amazing and the quiche is definitely a must try. The building looks like it was an old warehouse that is connected to a church, but the coffee shop appears to be independent. DoNUT skip on this place! My colleague was adamant we try this place during our visit and we braved a 17 min walk in 110 degree heat for this sweet treat. Staff is very sweet. The pecan cinnamon roll was fluffy and topped with pecans caramel and a cream cheese frosting. It was great. The donuts were layered with jam and icing I between their flaky layers. We enjoyed both equally. The strawberry fields latte was okay. A bit watered down and not super strong flavors as far as espresso. Personal preference as I'm pretty picky with coffee. Inside, they have a modern setup with 3-4 tables for seating. For their selection, they have different drinks you can order along with their selection of sweet or savory cronuts. There were so many good options to choose from but we ended up trying one of the Strawberry Shortcake and Maple & Candied Bacon Cronuts. But it looked better than it tasted. There wasn't enough filling / topping to the amount of dough - the ratio was definitely off for me. Ordered a 6 pack to sample some different flavors. All were good, but out of the 6 I would rank creme brûlée, maple bacon, and strawberry shortcake as my favorite. These are cronuts so very light and fluffy. Only downside is that they are changing their shirts and there was no merchandise to purchase at the moment, but that just means there is even more reason to return. Such a cute spot! Very spacious on the inside. I took my kids on their first light rail ride to visit this place as a special treat. They loved it! It was on a Sunday and apparently there's a church inside so that was a surprise lol The staff were nice, the place was clean, and there is lots of seating. There were people bringing things inside for the church and they left the doors open, which made for a lot of flies, but that's no fault of the staff. I also got an iced salted maple brittle latte breve style. The donuts were so good. I wish I would have realized how big and filled the birthday cake one was because I got it for my daughter. The cinnamon roll was my favorite (also tried the maple & candied bacon and Black Forest donut). I enjoyed the blueberry lavender mocha, and I felt like $6 for such a large drink was very reasonable compared to other coffee shops. My husband also enjoyed his iced pumpkin spice latte. They were doing construction on the roof while we were there, so the booths and tables when you first enter were covered in tarps and debris, and there was a lot of dust floating around. Stopped by Creampuff which sits South of the Diamondback stadium downtown. Parking was easy. It was just past lunchtime and still good options available. Yes there moto is correct there is a smile in every donut. Especially when they are this delicious, and the savory ones oh my goodness. We got the pumpkin creme, crème brûlée, cookie butter, and the savory was a pesto parmesan croissant. All so so so so so so so so good. Wonderful day to splurge without of the family being off before the big day of cooking and eating all those calories that don't count cus it's thanksgiving .
