2 scoops of Butterfinger ice cream with chunks of butterfinger $7.25 and add butterfinger topping for $1.25

The ice cream shop offers indoor and a few outdoor seating options. They offer a variety of ice cream flavors and we were able to sample a few ice creams flavors before making our selection. The staff were friendly and greeted us as we waited in line. The line for the time being is long but it does seem to move quickly. We waiting for about 25 minutes. The inside is loud, busy and super lively. It was not an issue for us since we are happy to see this place is doing so well. The ice cream was rich and smooth in flavor. We ordered the black raspberry ice cream and black Madagascar vanilla ice cream. The butterfinger ice cream with butterfinger pieces was a miss since the flavor was not a favorite. The non cream we ordered the cactus lime sorbet. It was light and tangy.

Really cute concept and beautiful, clean space. The props are great and I love that the staff is in uniform. Lots of parking outside for the plaza. It's still pretty busy but that is to be expected as they opened not long ago. In time, the crowds will die down and it will be more enjoyable to visit. We didn't have to wait in line but there were no open seats inside and it was a bit loud. Sitting at the tables outside in the heat can be rough (no misters but it is covered so you're not in full sun, though). Lots of flavors with fun names and you can sample before you commit. Staff is friendly and welcoming. The ice cream was just ok for me. Maybe I picked the wrong flavors and I'm not against giving them another try, but that part was a bit of a let down.

We treated ourselves to some ice cream at Brooker's Founding Flavors tonight. This was the first time we tried this place and when you walk in, the decor is amazing if you love America. There were so many different flavors and the staff were very helpful and patient, allowing us to try several different flavors. You can order a single scoop but get two half scoops if you want two different flavors. The ice cream is so good! There are even pints of ice cream to go. If you like America and ice cream, definitely give this place a try.

Today, we stopped by Brooker's in Chandler to grab some high-quality ice cream and experience all the hype surrounding this location. Upon stepping into the store, I instantly felt as though I was transported back to Colonial Williamsburg (which I spent a lot of time in, given I grew up in Virginia). From the chandeliers, to the portraits, muskets, other colonial decor, as well as uniforms, they did a great job setting the scene. But the main "showstopper" was the ice cream. Made with high butter fat, it's creamier than other brands and there are so many flavors to choose from! The John Locke and Aaron Burr were the winners on this trip. If you're in the area, it's a must to experience!

We first found Brooker's Founding Flavors Ice Cream in Midvale, Utah less than a month ago and it was a cool (and tasty!) experience. We then learned a Chandler location was opening imminently so we had to check it out! The Chandler location is in a smaller space, with about 10 tables inside pressed against the wall. There's a few tables and chairs outside if you want to sit on 150F metal. The line backed up around the narrow barrier meaning people were standing in line right next to people sitting in the tables trying to enjoy their treat. A little more space would do wonders for the dining-in experience. The workers all adorn colonial costumes and they look amazing. They were very friendly and helpful too...letting us sample a few flavors we didn't try previously. The flavor selection so far is not as deep as the Utah location we visited...we asked about a few flavors that they 'did not have delivered yet'. However...there's still a lot of flavors to choose from! Their ice cream is high quality and very creamy...no ice or air. Nut allergy warning: While they cannot guarantee no cross-contamination of their nut flavors with nut free flavors, they do accommodate using a different/clean scoop and will also use ice cream in the back if necessary. The decor and ornamentation on the walls is all very fun! You have old photos, guns, maps and more. They even reproduced old-timey photos and put ice cream into them...nice touch! If your kids get out of line...you can put them in the stocks in the corner as public torture...or you can just get a fun photo...up to you! Overall, Brooker's is a good place to transport back 250 years to enjoy some ice cream!

What a fun place to enjoy some delightful flavors of ice cream. I brought my family and we dined on probably 5 or 6 different fun flavors. By the way this was our dinner and might I say it was worth all the calories. We loved the decor and the fashionable peeps who served the ice cream with smiles on their faces.

I love everything about Brookers Ice cream. The flavors are cleverly named and quite delicious. I've had 3 flavors thus far. John Hancock's Signature Mint Truffle is my current favorite. The decorations and memorabilia are accurate, and the ambiance of American history is wonderfully conveyed. The service was superb, friendly, and offered a wide range of choices. It's a great place to visit.

What a cool new ice cream parlor! So many yummy flavors! The place is decorated in all revolutionary-era along with the employees in clothing representing that time. It's in a very convenient location right off of Chandler blvd. The ice cream is very high quality and delicious.

The decorations are spot on perfect! The staff uniforms are awesome! We came about an hour before closing on their grand opening weekend and there was a decent line. Service with a smile kept everyone happy and they kept things moving, we waited about 15 minutes from just inside the door. I got the mint chocolate chip, my wife got the honey comb and my son had a vanilla shake. Everything tasted delicious. The items all have fun names, I just forgot what they all were. Serving sizes were generous, borderline too much even. It's good and bad that they are located in our usual area because we will be there more than we should be I'm sure!

Just visited a new Ice Cream shop with a founding father's routine. It felt perfect for the 4th of July weekend with all of the 1776 style decorations. What a cool place. They even had an original recipe from Thomas Jefferson made with a custard style base. The flavors I tried were awesome. I am a HUGE coconut fan so went with the Shoe Leather of Valley Forge. It was excellent so brought home a pint for my Cherry Galette desert tomorrow. I also tried the honeycomb which was also excellent but had to go with the coconut with coconut cookie in the mix. Very clean and fascinating decorations. The ice cream is made with premium high fat cream and it is rich but not too sweet. The servers were very friendly.

Very cute place complete with stockades, bison heads, and guns! Colonial names for all the flavors of ice cream and sipping chocolate!! Very friendly staff who dress the part. How can you go wrong?

From the moment I stepped in, I immediate transported back to the American Revolutionary war. I love all the historical puns and decor. I got the Paul Revere flavor: chocolate with cookies and cream. It was delicious! The chocolate was very rich and creamy and the best part is it's not too sweet. They also have some seasonal flavors. The staff were really nice and friendly. The place has plenty of seatings outside and inside.

So let me start off by saying the theme is so awesome. I love how even the staff dresses revolutionary era style. The ice cream is definitely a premium quality, you can feel the extra cream and the flavors are just amazing. The naming schemes are pretty cool. It's definitely something completely different. But my favorite thing was probably the drinking chocolate.. It's like melted chocolate with hot cocoa mixed together and then you add a scoop of ice cream inside of it. That is my new go to for sure.

My bigger gripe was that it took a long time despite there not being too many people. We were the only parties in there in the beginning and a buddy ordered a single scoop of ice cream first. When we had all finished individually ordering, more people arrived. Instead of giving us our orders first or even starting on it (again, our first friend ordered a normal scoop first), he went ahead and started with the customers that just arrived. That would be fine, but as he was the only worker, we had to wait almost 10 minutes before our ice cream was even started on.

Having never been, it took us some time to get the feel of the treats, watch others order, study the menu and then deciding on what to order. Several others in our group had been previously and they all had suggestions as well to share. Both of us got a small Jelati, which is a layered mix of Italian Ice and soft serve ice cream...you can also choose to have toppings like sprinkles, Oreo cookie crumbs, butter cookies, etc. I decided on the Key West Tropical (a wonderful tasting mix of pineapple, mango, passion fruit, banana, and coconut) layered with vanilla soft-serve and no toppings. Also, I choose the small size which was actually perfect for a tasty treat. The Jelati itself was so good...creamy and the Tropical ice was amazing and so made me want to be in the tropics! Wife decided on the lemon ice layered with vanilla and no toppings. She loved it but did say it needed a tad more of that lemon tart flavor. We will come back to try some of the other flavor combos...highly recommend this place for nice, cool, summer treat! Now on to the reason I initially said I would give 2 stars for the employees. As I was watching them make treats, I observed no gloves, I observed both touching their faces and hair, rubbing hands on pants, etc. When I was asked about ordering, I specifically asked that the young man making the treats please wash his hands and glove up, to which I got a look from the one taking the orders but he walked over to the other one, said something to him and he in turn took over the cash register while the initial young man who took the order went and washed his hands for a second or two, walked over to the gloves, put them on and made my treat. As soon as he was done, the gloves came off and he continued to make the following treats being ordered. Although nothing was said by either, the looks and overall tone was definitely changed but I really didn't care and just explained that food safety should be the top of their list. Just in case they see this...from the AzDHS food safety website: In Arizona, food workers must avoid bare hand contact with ready-to-eat foods by using single-use gloves, tongs, or deli paper. We will be back for sure so hopefully employees are brought up to speed on safety requirements for washing hands and wearing gloves.

Especially since my boyfriend loves ice cream. Today we made a lunch date when he was visiting town, complete with ice cream to cool us down on this warm July day in Arizona. We opted to eat in my car with air conditioning, though they have bench seating outside. In cooler months, I'm sure that seating is nice to sit at to enjoy your treat. What We Ordered: - Monkey Business scoop in a dipped waffle bowl: My boyfriend throughly enjoyed and said it was very banana forward; which is a plus for him. I personally hate banana, so he had something for once that I didn't take a girlfriend bite out of. - S'mores scoop in a dipped waffle bowl: Very interesting to have the base be graham cracker, but I really enjoyed. Love the little chocolate bits to add a crunch as you eat, though the mini marshmallows have a weird texture to me. Still a solid scoop, and I'll try other flavors when we return. First, the location itself is very small and cramped inside, and there isn't any outdoor seating, which made it difficult to enjoy our ice cream. The biggest disappointment here was the customer service. My friend ordered a milkshake for her two toddlers to share and politely asked if the extra half could be poured into a second cup. The employee had to ask the manager, who immediately said no. My friend explained that other Handel's locations have happily done this before, and even offered to pay for the extra cup. The manager still refused and told her she'd have to purchase two separate milkshakes instead. The request wasn't for extra product--just a second cup for two small children to share. What made the experience worse was the manager's attitude. She came across as rude and dismissive rather than trying to help find a reasonable solution. We understand that every location has its own policies, but customer service goes a long way. Unfortunately, between the cramped space and the poor experience with the manager, we won't be returning to this location.
