We came around 930pm on a Thursday night. Staff were friendly. Lots of great options! I got a scoop of chocolate malt crunch and it was great! My friend got a chocolate shake and she enjoyed it. My other friend got a scoop of chocolate chip cookie dough and a snickerdoodle. The cookie was soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside! It was a good spot for dessert. You gotta pay for parking if you drive here and that's a bummer. Other than that it's a good place.
Not a long wait no one at all in here. Lots of construction going on so you have to go through a maze to get in. Hubby and kiddos got cookie dough ice cream and mint ice cream...... it was bland, tasteless...... maybe spoiled because they're used to Bruster's homemade ice cream. There is also no bathroom here. You got 2 tables to sit at and an outdoor area where you can enjoy music from Taco Boys next door. Ice cream was thrown in trash after a few bites
YUM!!!! A coworker recommended Slickables and I am so happy we stopped by. You can build your own ice cream sandwich and they have a variety of cookies and ice cream to choose from. My sandwich was made with a brownie, a chocolate chip cookie, and cookies and cream ice cream. My husband got a blonde brownie, sugar cookie, and cookies and cream ice cream. We picked up dinner across the street to go and grabbed this for dessert after, so my only regret is not eating them immediately because the ice cream melted a bit before we made it back home. We were the only ones in the store at the time so it was quick service. The inside is small with a few tables and chairs to eat inside. This is right on Mill Ave in Tempe so it's a great location to other things in the area as well.
Cute little ice cream shop on the corner of Mill and 7th. They don't have very many flavors but what they did have was good, and they make up for it by also having a bunch of cookies. It was empty on a Sunday night. The prices are also very reasonable, it was $2.75 for a scoop and then an extra dollar for toppings. I'd for sure come back!

Atmosphere - Small local to-go ice cream parlor Temporary Hours During Coronavirus Pandemic M-Th 3p - midnight Fri, Sat, Sun noon - midnight Street parking; we walked. Service - Good, nothing to write about. Was patient. She was most likely a college student. We were not able to try any samples due to the pandemic. They also offer catering. Delivery by Grubhub and Uber Eats. Price - Very reasonably priced. $2.75 a scoop. $1 for a waffle cone. Owner Suggestion - I know that $2.75 is a good value, but maybe offer an option of 2 half scoops...? So we can try more flavors without over eating...
We were wanting some ice cream and around the area. Slickables is located right on a Mill Ave with street parking and parking garages nearby. We walked in to fresh cookie and brownies and plenty of different ice creams to choose from. We decided on an ice cream sandwich with 1 funfetti cookie and 1 M&M with strawberry ice cream. We also got a scoop of birthday cake and mint chip for the kids. When we were checking out they also have a basket of "day old cookies" 4 to a pack so we grabbed one of those. Everything was only around $10!! I thought that was a great price for everything. The cookies were freshly baked and chewy. We really liked the funfetti and M&M they were both good. The ice creams were all so good and creamy as well. Definitely a great spot to grab some dessert and we will hopefully be back soon!
Very yummy and fast service. There was a lot of options. Enjoyed our ice cream while walking around Downtown Tempe.
Cute little ice cream shop, this was a nice stop after eating on mill. $4.50 wasn't bad for an ice cream sandwich where you decide the cookie and ice cream they put in it.The cookie was fresh the ice cream didn't have a much of a salted caramel flavor but overall I would recommend this place
This is the best ice cream spot on mill ave, they use thrifty ice cream!!!! The cookies are so so bomb. The guy who took our order was so sweet and very quick to make me and my friends ice cream orders. Will be coming back!

Delicious cookie + delicious ive cream + great people watching. Enjoyed my visit, would go back. There wasn't an amazing wow factor to the overall experience, and the shop itself was pretty limited for seating, so just 4 stars though I would recommend. read more

Slickably good! I went here based on the photos of the ice cream sandwich. So, if you're perusing reviews and taking a look at pics....... well....... In this case, a picture truly is worth a thousand tastes. In a single word... FANTASTIC Homemade cookies. Ice cream made in house! cute little shop on a popular corner in Tempe. You can't get any better, but if you could, Slicables is where you'd look. I went with about 3 other friends one day after having dinner nearby in Tempe. We wanted ice cream. We. Needed. Ice. Cream! Everyone turns to me to figure out where to go. I turn to my trusty Yelp App and discover a highly rated ice cream shop less than a mile from where we were. So, we park on Mill Ave. (I add this part for those who might end up making the same mistake.) Unfortunately, we went to an ice cream shop across the street by mistake. Watch out, that area along Mill Ave can be confusing (especially after a few glasses of wine at dinner), so be sure to use the address. That "other" shop doesn't have the ice cream sandwich. So, we leave that shop and cross the street and hit up the correct location. I had a nice simple sandwich, a scoop of delicious creamy vanilla ice cream between 2 delicately sweet and chewy chocolate chip cookies. I was more than satisfied. I licked the sweet ice cream in the middle of the cookies and then I finally took a hefty bite of the sandwich and I was sold. My friends had various combinations of mint and chocolate and other cookies. They were super happy with their sweet sandwich-loves. Being sandwiched in the middle of Tempe at Slickables is the right thing to do. Go lick that creamy middle and thank me later! read more

The desserts were yummy & location is cool, but the quality isn't any different than what you can make at home and the vibes inside aren't a cute hang out spot so if you're passing by and have a sweet tooth, it's worth the stop but I wouldn't drive out of my way for it read more
Cheap place to grab yourself an ice cream sandwich on Mill Ave! The shop serves student friendly priced ice cream and ice cream sandwiches. The cookies themselves were soft, but basic in flavor and the ice cream filling is equivalent to a single scoop. I got the Snickerdoodle & White Chocolate Chip Cookies with Triple Caramel Ice Cream and enjoyed that the cookies were soft and chewy, not hard or crisp at all. Service was a bit rushed as they were close to closing and there wasn't much cookies to choose from. The cookies weren't spectacular in terms of flavors, but great texture- the ice cream was good though, but for price point the quality and portion was reflective. A good place if you're passing through and you want something sweet and cheap. Unfortunately, not open late for college students experiencing drunchies! read more

UHMMM...where else does $2 get you so much delicious value? No where! For $2 you get a satisfying cookie sandwich...and you can get two different cookies even, which makes it perfect for those who are indecisive.... =D But seriously though, the cookies are soft and chewy. The ice cream is great too. Add them two together = win. Oh yeah, they have other things too like shakes or something...haha, but why would you bother? read more

Cookies, ice cream, reasonable price, good service...what's not to like? Parking in the area is a pain, but it's not their fault. The cookies had a good balance of being moist inside and enough of a crisp edge, although I prefer cookies in the crunchier side. The ice cream was excellent. I actually also ordered a vanilla malt which was really, really great, especially because they added extra malted milk powder from the bottom of the Carnation can...nice! read more

Went to Slickables last night on Mill Ave. I got coffee ice cream with red velvet cookies. My boyfriend got cookies n cream ice cream with red velvet cookies. The ice cream sandwiches were delicious. The cookies weren't super warm but slightly crunchy on the sides and soft on the inside. There's a variety of cookie flavors and ice cream flavors. There's definitely a lot of choices including brownie options as well. Also, the price was cheap. Each sandwich costs $2.50. We'll definitely be back for more! read more
Who does not like cookies, who does not like ice cream. Select your cookies or brownies and then choose the ice cream of your choice. I asked if they made their ice cream and they said no it is either Thrifty Ice Cream or Blue Bunny. I grew up with Thrifty Ice Cream and remember getting the double scoop Pistachio for $0.25. We shared the snicker doodle and double chocolate cookies and then got the mint chocolate chip, Carmel swirl and cookies and cream ice cream. Best thing was it was $2 a sandwich there was not a line on a Sunday afternoon and we were able to get a table inside. Located on Mill Ave and 7th St next to Steak and Shake so in a prime location and we were lucky to get a parking space in front of the store just ad someone was leaving. We will certainly be back and recommend this place to everyone we like. read more

Pretty good ice cream sandwiches and some not bad ice cream to complement it! I've been to slickables a couple of times, and I'll say straight up that I enjoy it a lot more than Baked Bear for ice cream sandwiches. With Baked Bear, I feel like it's always overkill with all their toppings, all the weird flavors, and they're humongous sandwiches that leaves your hands all nasty and disgusting, and probably your stomach feeling like crap. I love the simplicity of Slickables. Normal sized cookies, with normal ice cream flavors, it's not super dazzling to the eye, but the taste is something you can't deny. The cookies were soft and had good texture. When you bite into the sandwich, it retains its shape, rather than completely crumbled with those ginormous sandwiches your get at Baked Bear. The ice cream flavors are normal, you'll find your classic flavors like vanilla, chocolate, strawberry etc. Its definitely not the best ice cream I've had, but like I said before, simplicity is key sometimes. I would highly recommend coming here instead of Baked Bear!!! Unless you just want a colorful picture of an ice cream sandwich on steroids and you don't care about the taste, then go for it! Oh and best of all, THE PRICE!!!! It's only $2.50!!!!! WHY WOULDNT YOU WANT TO TRY IT Tips 1) there's more stuff than just cookies, there's brownies and a caramel one too! 2) mostly one sandwich will satisfy you, and doesn't leave you feeling like crap, so just get one 3) you can get different flavor cookies for your top or bottom when you make your ice cream sandwich, go crazy read more

Been coming here for years. Super cheap and delicious post dinner desert. The concept is simple. Pick your cookies (or brownies) and pick your ice cream to fill the delicious center. I've never actually had a milkshake but I imagine they are just as tasety. Love the simplicity of this place. No frills but still very good. This last time I just got some cookies and they did not disappoint. Soft and delicious. There was a holiday ginger flavored cookies that was also delicious. Parking is tricky on mill but lots of street parking or there is the garage behind the movie theater. There are a few tables inside but I usually end up walking around if I can't find one. Not sure why everyone who wrote a bad review has super high expectations. You're paying like $2-$5. You can't expect gourmet on that budget. read more

Nice execution, good flavor and perfect size. The selections were a little limited but what they do have is really good. I went with the double chocolate cookie and the strawberry ice cream which was fantastic. I would highly recommend that combo! It's a great walk Around and munch on an ice cream sandwich snack. read more
We wanted to have ice cream and this was the closest in that area. Went there and ordered cookies and cream and strawberry cheesecake. Though the price was pretty decent it kinda makes me wonder if it's in house or the ice cream is out sourced from somewhere. Both of them tasted well. Parking is an issue so you have to to keep that into consideration. Didn't have as many flavors as their website claimed so little disappointed. read more

Was hanging out with my daughters and grandkids and they wanted some ice cream, so off to Slickables we went. This place is yummy! They take fresh baked cookies, or brownies and mush ice cream between to the 2 to make the perfect ice cream sandwich! I think I picked the perfect cookie/ice cream combo out the group, went with snickerdoodle cookie and salted caramel ice cream! Yummy! Oh and these sweet treats are under 3 bucks! So go get you some! read more

Super quick and friendly service. The cookies were very fresh and delicious and a perfect combination with ice cream. They had a nice variety of options. I will definitely come back. The price for this fresh me ice cream sandwich was very fair at $2.50 read more
Slickables was good for a late night dessert. I had originally asked someone if they had been to a similar dessert store across from Slickables and she had recommended this place instead of the one I was asking about. She said Slickables was inexpensive compared to the other place. I didn't realize it was in a popular spot for the college students so it took awhile to find parking. Once in, you get to choose your cookie and ice cream. My order was made pretty quick. My husband sampled an ice cream and got a cone of it. We paid $4 for those two ice creams. So inexpensive! And I was happy that I was able to get something sweet so late. The only downfall is that the cookies were hard. It would've been better if they were soft and warm. The store was very basic and not upscale at all. There's not a huge amount of space to sit and eat. So we just took ours to go. read more

This is my FAVORITE ice cream sandwich place. All the baked goods are made fresh and you can taste the difference. The ice cream is delicious as well, of course. Prices are very affordable as well! I come here whenever I'm craving ice cream! read more
