It's down on mill, so parking can be a little difficult l, especially on the weekends, which is when we went. It's pretty small inside. They only have 2 tables with 4 seats to each one. They dont have a super huge menu of flavors to choose from, but they have a decent amount of the most popular and classic flavors. I got an ice cream sandwich. The girl behind the counter said I could mix & match the cookies. So I got 1 peanut butter & 1 snickerdoodle with cookies and cream icecream. My girl got a brownie Sunday with rocky road and chocolate drizzle. The Ice cream sandwich was only $2.50, as well as the brownie Sunday. Cheaper than most places that I've been to that sell similar types of desserts! Cookies are only $0.50 each. Toppings are additional. Not many toppings to choose from. I've ate at Slickables a few times over the years and can say that they have always provided top-notch cookie sandwiches. I've had them from both the Mill location and at my office for a catered event. My personal favorite is the birthday cake ice cream with funfetti cookies -- SO GOOD! Slickables is everything I like about small businesses. It is run by its owners. It is friendly and welcoming. They're trying new things out to get customers in (like their signs on the window which really did work on me - I pulled a U-turn). Their product is great and at a great price. Their business model was inspired by Diddy Riese in Westwood. I asked about it because it reminded me of that straightaway. They said they loved Diddy Riese, as well. You can pick two cookies, mix and match if you'd like. The owner bakes the cookies herself. They are soft, but firm. Chewy and not so crunchy that they fall apart when you bite into your sandwich. Then you pick your ice cream. It is standard grocery store fare, but delicious nonetheless. For $2 per sandwich, bring the whole family down for a delicious treat. You cannot beat the price locally, unless you're at home (natch). And, IMHO, they are LEAGUES above the other Mill Ave. ice cream sandwich shop in price and flavor. Plus, the owners are really friendly and seem to love what they do. Went here on a date last week. I had been to the now closed Cookiez on Mill, but hadn't yet tried Slickables. I arrived early so I hung out inside waiting for the boy to join me. While I was waiting, a few people came in and who I'm guessing is the owner, greeted them, asked if they'd been there before, and gave them the schpeel if they hadn't. Once we were ready to order, I perused the menu and decided on a chocolate chip/red velvet cookie combo with caramel ice cream. The guy got a sandwich cookie as well. We sat inside and they put it in a cup for you so do you don't have to deal with figuring out how to eat it :) The sandwich was good. Was it AMAZING? No. But for $2 I couldn't complain. Nice little ice cream spot to try out near ASU's campus. If you have ever been to Diddy Riese near UCLA, you will probably find this place very similar. Parking around the area is mostly street, and it's pretty busy around there, so you may be searching for a little while if you're driving. The service was friendly. There was no line outside when we went, but this was on a weekday, so that may not be the norm. The inside is nice and cool (welcome relief to the 90+ heat outside at night). There are a couple tables inside to sit at, but no outside spots. They have ice cream sandwich's for $2, which I think is the same as Diddy Riese (DR). Individual cookies are $0.75 each. The cookies were good. Nice and soft. Selection was also pretty comparable to DR in terms of cookies and ice cream, although it did seem a little more limited.
