Carrot Cake Shake - If you like carrot cake, this one is a no-brainer. A perfectly cinnamon and a carrot cake flavor shake with pecan rim, whipped cream, and a full slice of carrot cake on top! Death by Chocolate Shake - Chocolate on top of chocolate with a brownie and Kinder Bueno on top. Tuxedo Shake - This was everyone's favorite with the perfect mix of vanilla and Oreos with a full ice cream sandwich on top. Sweet Tooth Shake - Loaded with sugar...cotton candy, ribbon candy, sprinkles, and a lolipop. Too sweet for me, but my daughter loved it. Damn - this place is amazing! We got, I think the "killer" milkshake and would totally recommend sharing it with more than 2 people. It had an Oreo cookie, a big Reese peanut butter chocolate and another cookie.. so it was pretty yum. But defn need to have a salad/something light later :). Service was good, staff was friendly. I couldn't resist trying one of their crazy milkshakes after finishing the escape room! We ordered from the escape room lounge which was nice and quiet. My friend and I split the tuxedo milkshake which was perfect and the staff kindly split it into 2 cups for us. Cute shop with a fun selection! Even better that it was a surprise stop for the kids before our escape room reservation. :) Always weary about trying desserts when there are peanuts on the menu, due to our daughter's allergy. We were absolutely lost on the setup here. Imagining an old time Soda Fountain setup with fresh soda and bar stools, found neither. The soda machine was in the center, but the menu had the options all the way at the bottom of one on wall boards. So what did this Soda Jerk place push? SHAKES! I mean $15 shakes. Not boozy $15 shakes, just shakes. So the 3 of us studying the menu board for a min, seems the shakes break down between ~$9 for a regular shake and ~$15 for ones that they throw a cookie or whatever on top and use a precoated rim cup with cookies crumbles, etc. Not one to eat off a rim, we decided to just get regular shakes. They were decent, the mint had a bit of a fake syrup taste (think Culvers,etc). Overall the shakes were just ok. Dont see us coming back and dropping that much for a shake. The only thing worth noting is that the cheesecake appears to serve mostly as a decorative topping because when I bit into it, it tasted a bit like Sara Lee day old cheesecake. No biggie. I enjoyed the main shake, which was excellent. My husband enjoyed his Dulce de Leche, but he tasted mine and wished he would have chosen it, no knock on the Dulce de Leche. The service was very personable and polite. I haven't come across good customer service at an ice-cream shop like this in a while. I've been to Soda Jerk a million times and up until yesterday I never had an issue. I was the only one in the establishment when I placed my order and a crowd formed right after. The person making my order seemed a bit rushed after the crowd came in. Normally, my tuxedo milkshake will have an abundance of crushed Oreos mixed in but that was not the case today. The oreo rimmed cupwas missing the oreo crumbs that completely cover the rim. My milkshake leaked all over me when it was handled to me. Wow wow wow! It's like walking the streets of Disneyland where you can find all the decadent superior desserts in one place, well Scottsdale, here it is! I'm impressed by the variety of options. Seasonal rotations, standards staples like Oreo, strawberry, s'mores. I'd say Soda is an understatement, more like sweet decadences unlimited. I could never come here more than a special occasion but I am glad that I did! I enjoyed my dairy free Tuxedo but what I would love more and hope to see, is a full vegan item on the menu.
