Frost Gelato is one of my favorite dessert spots in the Phoenix area. The gelato is delicious and more "guilt-free" on calories than the other dessert options around, which makes it an easy choice when you're looking for something sweet without feeling overly indulgent. The staff is friendly and patient, even when I take my time trying different samples before deciding (which I do pretty often). They never seem rushed or annoyed, and that makes the experience even better. The only thing to keep in mind is that there isn't a lot of indoor seating. During the summer months, that can make it a little challenging if you're hoping to sit and enjoy your dessert inside. That said, the quality of the gelato and the service make it well worth the visit. Overall, a great local dessert option that I would highly recommend. read more

Ice cream you scream...but wait...this is better than ice cream...this is "gelato!" I am jumping up and down as I write this review! YUUUUUUUUMMMMM! Plenty of flavors to choose from and guess what? You get to try as many samples as you like. After trying a few I went with the "Mixed Berry & Oreo Cookies & Cream." So smooth, creamy, soft and not too sweet. The inside is very clean with several tables for enjoying your Gelato while you are there. Frost Gelato How can you not love Gelato in the summer of Arizona in August. This place offers excellent service, allows you to sample as many flavors until guilt sets in. The many flavors are of true ecstasy, made in store, fresh, select cup or cone. Fun for all ages, small or big, happy or grumpy, if you don't leave happy, crawl back under your rock. I chose Mint Chocolate Chip, but could have gone with many other flavors, which means one thing. Just have to go back another day. read more

I had a really great experience here with a friend after a yoga event. It was a little busy with the yoga event ending, and everyone getting ice cream, but there was still lots of places to sit outside and we didn't have to wait too long to order. It was dark and cooling off when we sat outside, so not too uncomfortable in the PHX summer heat. The inside is modern looking with bright blue menu boards and blue accents throughout the shop. They offer to go containers of ice cream and cakes too! Frost Gelato offers many choices for flavors, so it was hard to choose one. The people working were nice and let us sample a couple. I ended up picking the Bagigi Peanut which had caramel, chocolate and nuts all mixed together. It was also voted "Best Gelato in America". I ordered a small size and it was very satisfying. The gelato was also delicious, I would recommend that flavor to people if they like those types of flavors. I look forward to coming back here! read more

Frost Gelato just opened its fourth location in the Greater Phoenix area last week in the former Paradise Valley Mall area as a part of the new redevelopment plan. My wife and I had dinner in the area last night and enjoyed dessert at Frost Gelato to try out the new location. The staff seemed genuinely happy to be there and that they had just opened. We tried a few samples including the one that reminded us of Biscoff cookies. I got a small of Stracciatella while my wife got a small of Crema di Biscotti gelato (similar to cookies and cream). Other menu items include gelato, sorbet, cakes, coffee, Frost Bites (gelato bites dipped in chocolate) and drinks. We then went across the street next to Blanco where they have an open grassy area and some comfortable seating. We enjoyed sitting and people watching while eating our gelato. The area itself seems to have a lot to offer with new restaurants and stores opening up and events on the grassy area on most weekends. The staff were friendly and answered questions. They mentioned while there is no loyalty club, something is in the works. There is seating right outside and even more just across the street by the grassy area. While there is no birthday club, they do provide a special birthday treat for those celebrating a birthday (on or around their birthday). Other locations offer a free small cup of gelato or a free Frost Bite (chocolate truffle of one of several flavor options); only time will tell what they offer at this location. You can order gelato or Frost Bites to go and even get spaghetti and meatballs Frost style with gelato "noodles" and Frostbite "meatballs". Picture this: Full of excitement and ready for my long awaited frozen treat, I happily make my way into this poor excuse for an establishment they call "Frost." Not even a single "Hello" or "Welcome" or any acknowledgement of my existence. Three employees. A brunette girl, a blonde girl, and a tall boy. They have all got to go. I ask if there are cake cones. My favorite cone. The blonde sighs, and with annoyance points behind her at the pile of cake cones sitting on a high shelf that escaped my notice. I tried to laugh it off. she was NOT having it tonight. The boy was useless. Didn't do a thing but give me judgmental glares across the counter. Upon checking out, I was met with nothing short of hostility and no words from the brunette. I SLAMMED my finger on the "No tip" button. All three of these attitudinal teenagers do not belong in the customer service industry. Do better, Frost. Do better. read more

I've been to frost's biltmore location so I was excited to try this one while I was in the area! There is a large selection of gelato flavors so I sampled two before I decided to get a small scoop of the bagigi peanut. I've never had that flavor before and it's nice with the bits of caramel and chocolate. I like the blue color scheme inside and the staff were very friendly. read more

I just went to Frost Gelato and it's honestly the BEST gelato spot ever. The flavors taste super fresh and creamy, not fake at all, and they have so many options it's hard to choose. The staff were really nice and let me sample flavors, and every single one was amazing. The place is clean, fun, and perfect for hanging out. If you like ice cream or desserts even a little bit, you HAVE to try this place -- nothing else even comes close. 10/10 would go again. read more

Gelato is beautifully displayed and is delicious, especially on a hot summer night in Arizona! Employees are very sweet, helpful and professional. We opted to enjoy our Espresso gelato and peanut butter gelato outside which was nicely shaded! Inside its a bit echo-y but that really doesn't matter...definitely a 10/10 for gelato! read more

The gelato was awesome. Loved the limoncello. Great location at the new PV Reimagined. On cooler days- you can relax at the park nearby.

There were three employees when my family of four entered the store. There were two young men who were welcoming and kind and helpful, and our gelato was great. BUT there was a female employee that was so rude it literally ruined our experience. I believe her name was Nour- she should most certainly NOT be in any type of customer service job- EVER. I've never used Yelp before, but i just had to download it to leave a review on this amazing Gelato Shoppe! I went in about a week ago with my sister and 5 year old daughter, and our experience was better than I could've ever expected. I have been to the Kierland location in the past, and experienced good service there, but the employees that I encountered at the Paradise Valley location made our experience fantastic. It was a boy and a girl helping us; I asked their names and she responded Isaiah and Noor. They were both so helpful and sweet in different ways! Noor made my daughter feel so special and included, and even asked her if she wanted to add sprinkles and bubblegum to her gelato, which ofcourse she did. And Isaiah let us try many flavors without any problems and brought us water cups to our table. Not only was the service amazing, but the gelato was phenomenal. And it's low fat! It was such a great experience and i will certainly be returning! read more
