I stumbled upon this coffee shop while shopping at the Mercantile, and I'm so glad I did. From the moment I walked in, I loved the minimalist vibe, everything felt super clean, modern, and inviting. I tried both the pistachio latte and the cookie butter latte, and honestly, they were both amazing. You can really taste the quality, especially knowing all their coffee is organic. One of the coolest touches is that they let you choose images to print on your coffee, it's such a fun and unique experience. The baristas were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, and they gave great recommendations when I wasn't sure what to order. A coworker went here three times and told me I HAD TO GO, so we finally went during lunch yesterday. What a cute place!! Bright Side Cafe is located inside The Mercantile in Old Town Scottsdale, at the back of the store. Enter through the back if you stop by early in the morning before The Mercantile opens. While they don't offer a lot of drinks options, they offer the basics along with their own signature drinks like the Blueberry Latte I got. They also top off your drinks with a cute image that you choose when you pay for your order. I was about to get the cactus, but I saw Snoopy, so you already know I HAD to get him! The drink itself was delicious! It was just a tad too sweet for me, but not overly obnoxious sweet. At around $7/$8 for a drink, the prices are average. They even have some seating around the front of the register if you choose to enjoy your goodies there. They do also offer pastries if you go in early enough. When we arrived around 12:20 pm, I only saw 2 in the pastry case, but they might keep more behind the counter. Cute cafe in a little mercantile area. This was my first time at this cafe and I wanted to try something matcha so I decided on the lychee matcha with a cold foam for the design to sit on top for $7.75. I chose a cute little pikachu. I also requested to add coconut milk for an additional $0.50. When I received the drink it was too cute to drink but I went for it. The cold foam was a nice thick enough layer for the design. I keep drinking and drinking and I didn't taste any hint of lychee nor did I taste any hint of coconut milk. Service was good but the I believe my drink order was a miss and just tasted like regular matcha with whole milk. I think I'll have to try a different drink for next time. read more

Super super awesome service! They were LIFESAVERS when I forgot my computer charger oh a work trip. Pleasantly surprised! I walked in thinking I need a wake me up. But left without ordering anything. Came back with my son who just woke up. This place is the entrance of a mercantile that is not yet open. When you walk in, everything is clean and white, the baristas friendly. And then the salted maple latte. The vanilla foam layer was perfect to lay the picture on. I love that you get to pick your picture art to put on the vanilla foam. They have a machine that creates the art on your drink. It heightens your drink experience. Besides the cute art, the drink itself is quality. This is the cutest little cafe! I stopped by on Saturday afternoon with my sister and it was pretty busy. All the tables were taken and there was a small line to order. The cashier was friendly and I ordered a honey cinnamon latte and my sister had the blueberry latte. We also added cold foam and the cutest latte art. We waited about 10 minutes for our drinks to be ready. We decided to leave since all the tables were still being used. Both drinks were delicious. I needed a pick me up this afternoon and the Bright Side Café inside of the Mercantile in Old Town Scottsdale was exactly just that. The coffee shop is tucked away in the back of the shop and last time I was in the store they didn't have the coffee shop. I asked how long it's been here and they said about three months. What mainly brought me in was the coffee art. Luckily, the coffee is also delicious! The staff is super friendly and helped me decide what I wanted today and advised me that what I chose is kind of a sweet drink, so I ordered it half sweet and I'm super happy she said that. She could've just let me order it and drink my super sweet drink, but she mentioned it and so I appreciate it. I love coffee, I love iced coffee and I love coffee drinks in general. I'm into all of this, but definitely the art printing machine that they have is novel and fun! I thought the hummingbird design that I chose came out really cool. I saw a fellow Yelper's review of this relatively new coffee shop and just had to go check it out for myself. It's located in Old Town Scottsdale at the back of The Mercantile boutique marketplace. The cafe has a sign in front of the boutique directing you to enter through the back door. When you walk in, you see a few tables and you can look into the market, though it was closed at the time. It was about 9AM on a Sunday, and there were a few people sitting enjoying their drinks and pastries. There was no line at the counter. They have their regular menu on the wall and on the counter, but there is also a special summer menu. I got the Organic Mango Matcha Latte with unsweetened coconut milk and sweet cream cold foam. The drink comes with mango cold foam, but the sweet cream cold foam is needed if you want the art design that is included with any specialty latte. The additional $2.50 charge on the menu is for CUSTOM art designs. I liked that the flavor was light, not too sweet with the mango puree. The art design was cute and a great photo op. I did think the drinks are a bit overpriced ($7.75 + $0.50 for alternative milk). It's all organic, and maybe the art design cost is built in too, plus it's Scottsdale. They also sell a few pastries from Buttered Crumb Bakery. I got a Raspberry Pop Tart ($6) to try with some family, and we all enjoyed it! There's a sticker on the back of the package with the list of ingredients, which was very helpful as there is a food allergy in my family. Tip: There is a sign at the counter with a QR code to write them a review and get $1.00 off your purchase. I didn't take advantage of that, but I definitely will the next time I'm in the area. read more

Also got this strawberry matcha for my friend who's getting married soon, they put cream top with decor, it was sooo cute!! Cream top and custom design is included in the drink, I thought the drink was a but pricey but with all these, pretty good price with quality matcha!! This cafe is conveniently located inside Scottsdale Mercantile, so it's a great place to grab a drink then walk around the different vendors to see items sold from various small businesses. We got the strawberry matcha latte and the blueberry matcha latte, and all specialty lattes come with a latte design of your choice. Very cute! The service was great. Unfortunately, it took about 10-15 minutes for our drink to be made, however they did apologize for the wait. The drinks were presented beautifully, however for both matcha lattes, we unfortunately couldn't taste much matcha at all. The milk, cold foam, and fruit purées are very overpowering so I barely tasted any matcha. Overall it was a good experience visiting the Mercantile, however next time I'll probably try a different drink other than matcha. read more

Located inside the Mercantile (another super awesome discovery), I came by around 1130-12p and there was lots of seating in this cute little coffee area. I'd seen their cool drinks online with the fun cold foam designs and was very excited to get one of those. I ended up choosing the Brown Butter Caramel Latte with the desert landscape art. This is such a cool spot in old town. The front operates as a shop with clothing, gifts, etc. and there's a coffee shop in the back. Stopped in for coffee last Sunday with my fiancé.
