an ice cream truck parked in a parking lot

We were at the Phoenix Public Market this past Saturday. After walking all the way there we were hot and thirsty. We stumbled upon Naturally Sweet and ordered some smoothies. I have to say, they were the best smoothies I've ever had. I had the pina colada smoothy and it was amazing. My girls ordered the tropical smoothy and my son ordered strawberry banana. They all loved them. We are looking forward to the market next weekend so we can get more smoothies.

Naturally sweet is more than a smoothie/acai bowl truck. It's an experience. Dante runs a tight ship and is the nicest person you will ever meet in your life. He comes to my work at GoDaddy every Wednesday and it's always such a delight to chop it up with him. He thanks me for coming back every single time, remembers my order, and while I'm waiting for my items, there is a nice lounge station where we can hang out and listen to music! Pro tip: While you're waiting for your greatness in a bowl, just observe Dante and his great memory. Pass on the energy he gives to you to the rest of your day and come back for more! I can't wait til next week to get my King Kong smoothie.

I have only had the Curious George smoothie and one Acai bowl, but --- WOWOWOW!!! Both were amazing! The Curious George was sooooooo good it got 5 stars from me on the very first sip! The Acai bowl took me a few minutes to really get into, but then - OH EM GEE... I have been thinking about it since, and cannot wait to have it again! (base is acai, blueberry, strawberry and banana pureed and frozen)... then I added high protein granola, blackberries, banana and dark chocolate pretzel crunch. I'm in love!!!!!! And it was HUGE... Way bigger than I was expecting! Now the only problem I have is deciding between the two, or trying something new!!!!!

The acai bowl is amazing. Tons of different toppings to choose from, you can't go wrong with this. Price isn't crazy at all either. I also tried the iced coffee in a mason jar, because who can resist a jar?! It was great and I even get $1.50 off when I bring back my jar for a refill! I look forward to this truck coming back to my work!

Entry is free, but you do enter through security guards and pat downs. As soon as we were through security, we were immersed in art through color and sound. It felt like an unending psychedelic labyrinth! Through bushes, we spotted meat cooking on a grill. To our left was a lit up bar, the first of many. Keep walking, and soon we were surrounded by paintings. It was like a choose-your-own adventure! Go left towards art or step to the right to find a covered turf lawn with a live band. We grabbed cocktails at a variety of bars, including a Japanese inspired garden. It was like a lucid dream. We walked through an L.E.D. tunnel, passed couples sitting at elevated hexagon shaped booths, and at one point ended up in a house with a dance party. It's a unique concept. Fun for an intimate date night or an outing with friends.

The drinks and food lines were longer than usual 10-15mins. We explored several inner sections of the venue and really enjoyed the atmosphere. It felt lively and fun, with a bit of adventure as we walked around. I'd definitely recommend this as a solid 4th or 5th date spot, great energy, social, lounge, saki bar, margarita bar and something a little different but all in one place.

From what I understand, the truck moves around to different locations, so it's worth keeping an eye out for where they'll be next. We ordered three Viva Mexico burgers and one bacon avocado burger, plus fries. The total came out to around $80 for the four of us. It's a little on the high side for burgers and fries, but the quality and portion sizes were definitely solid. The fries were a standout. They're hand cut and cooked in beef tallow, which gives them a rich flavor you don't get from typical fries. My son immediately said they're in his top three fries he's ever had, which says a lot. The burgers were big, messy, and really flavorful, definitely a little greasy, but in the best way. The Viva Mexico burgers had great flavor, and the bacon avocado burger was just as good. Overall, if you like a good, greasy burger and excellent fries, La Hambuguesa is worth trying.

My friends and I arrived about 20 minutes before the truck opened, and there were already a few people standing in line. The line moved pretty quickly, and the total time from ordering and receiving our food was only about 15 minutes. At this time, the line wrapped around the truck. The food came out hot and fresh. Filet-o-fish is one of my favorites of all time, and the filet de fish did not disappoint at all! The first bite had us levitating and seeing stars. The tartare sauce that the fried fish was smothered in was delicious and creamy, and the fish fillet itself was tender and flaky. The toasted and soft Japanese bun was the cherry on top. Simple and comforting and nostalgic, but elevated in the best way. We also tried their popular Viva Mexico, but we felt like it lacked in flavor and only tasted spicy, if that makes sense. Beef tallow fries were okay and not anything special. Great portions, however, it was still pretty expensive for a food truck burger. I'm glad I got to try this place out and will be back if the filet de fish hits the menu again, and would try their Signature next time.

It makes a huge difference and adds the perfect crunch. Their cabeza and lengua are also incredibly flavorful, moist, and well-balanced. Nothing is overly salty which I really appreciate. My friend tried the pork belly taco, and it was crispy and packed with flavor so that's definitely on my list for my next visit. A quick tip: bring cash. They do take credit cards, but there's a 3% fee. There's no free water fountain, but bottled water is available for purchase, along with some classic homemade drinks you can try. The staff here are friendly and welcoming, and the outdoor seating is clean and comfortable. There's even a handwashing station with soap and paper towels provided which is a nice touch. I wish there was more limones and cucumbers on the plate. The salsas were really good, and the perfect balance of spice and taste. For a food truck, the area is clean and big enough for 2+. We used to visit and push tables together and just enjoy the night. Which is what I felt visiting. The meat is still so juicy, and food is just hot to touch. Definitely a good place to visit after a game or concert!
