    Trio of the floral menu

This place is exactly as aesthetic as it looks on Instagram, and the taste matches the presentation! I had high expectations for my experience with this little truck, and they met them on every aspect. They only serve their shaved ice in one size and require payment in cash. For the amount you get (and the quality), the price is reasonable - it's a very shareable dessert at around $8. However, if you want to power through the whole thing alone, you can. It's delicious enough for three smaller women to polish off three ices before they melt in 80 degree weather. The Mahalo truck pops up in different places with a rotating menu. It's a cute little airstream trailer, with a small merch tent nearby. I visited them at The Plant Stand for their floral themed menu. My girlfriends and I tried all three flavors - strawberry hibiscus, guava, and berry lavender. You can add in vanilla ice cream to your shaved ice, though some flavors already include a scoop of something special. I had honey lavender ice cream in the berry lavender and would definitely add in ice cream to any future flavor choice. The condensed milk sprinkled on top of the ice gives a creamy flavor, but I think the ice cream adds great pizzaz. Overall, everything has a very smooth texture and sweet taste. I can't wait to stop by another appearance and try a different menu. For information about where they'll be and drool-inducing photos, their Instagram is @mahalomadeit. Took my sweetie in for a treat on Saturday!! The line wasn't too bad...maybe waited 30 minutes! But, so worth it!! It's a treat for your taste buds and for your mental health!! This is the kind of goodie that takes you back to your youth!!

My Phoenix friends have told me about Mahalo many times- I visited one weekend and finally got to check them out @ the plant stand. I was not disappointed! I got the guava flavor, and my friend got the lavender. I preferred my guava- it was delish! I added the ice cream, which completed the milk drizzle on top. The size is definitely worth the price. You could easily share, but it's also doable for one. I can't wait to find them again to try other flavors! They had a table outside of the truck with adorable merch. Pricey, but very cute.

I mean, how could you not try this place. The shaved ice is SO tasty and instagram-able. Plus, it's the perfect way to indulge on a hot Phoenix day. Make sure you get their early as the place does run out of certain flavors based on its popularity. When we got there, there was already a line. This is a must-try place because who doesn't love to indulge? I was able to share one shaved ice with two other friends and it was plenty for the three of us. Price for one of these masterpieces will run you around $10. Seriously, go and enjoy this one.

Best. Shave. Ice. EVER. The homemade syrup makes such a drastic difference in flavor and makes this the best shave ice. Beats the ones we've even had in Hawaii.

From what I understand, the truck moves around to different locations, so it's worth keeping an eye out for where they'll be next. We ordered three Viva Mexico burgers and one bacon avocado burger, plus fries. The total came out to around $80 for the four of us. It's a little on the high side for burgers and fries, but the quality and portion sizes were definitely solid. The fries were a standout. They're hand cut and cooked in beef tallow, which gives them a rich flavor you don't get from typical fries. My son immediately said they're in his top three fries he's ever had, which says a lot. The burgers were big, messy, and really flavorful, definitely a little greasy, but in the best way. The Viva Mexico burgers had great flavor, and the bacon avocado burger was just as good. Overall, if you like a good, greasy burger and excellent fries, La Hambuguesa is worth trying.

La Hamburguesa has been in my bookmarks for quite a while now, and when I saw that they had a fish…read moresandwich special and it was their last day to try it, I had to make plans to make sure I got my hands on it. My friends and I arrived about 20 minutes before the truck opened, and there were already a few people standing in line. The line moved pretty quickly, and the total time from ordering and receiving our food was only about 15 minutes. At this time, the line wrapped around the truck. The food came out hot and fresh. Filet-o-fish is one of my favorites of all time, and the filet de fish did not disappoint at all! The first bite had us levitating and seeing stars. The tartare sauce that the fried fish was smothered in was delicious and creamy, and the fish fillet itself was tender and flaky. The toasted and soft Japanese bun was the cherry on top. Simple and comforting and nostalgic, but elevated in the best way. We also tried their popular Viva Mexico, but we felt like it lacked in flavor and only tasted spicy, if that makes sense. Beef tallow fries were okay and not anything special. Great portions, however, it was still pretty expensive for a food truck burger. I'm glad I got to try this place out and will be back if the filet de fish hits the menu again, and would try their Signature next time.
