I really wanted to like this place. It's nearby and it's local. There are a bunch of pizza places in the area Sardella's , brothers etc and they're all pretty good to really good. So a new place popping up means that it's got to at least be quality. It's at a bit of a weird place on cactus kind of a no man's land near some of the Greek and Turkish stores but we thought we'd pop in and give it a try as we're in walking distance. First thing we noticed lunchtime on a weekday was completely dead, which is not indicative of bad place, but just a new place. They have strangely a pool table and a foosball table in the restaurant which we thought was kind of quiche but fun however they don't serve slices of pizza only full pies. That seems counterintuitive to a eat in style restaurant. If you want to drive customers eating in your restaurant and that kind of vibe you have to have slices especially at lunch every pizza place in this area Phoenix has them so you have to expect it. However, we ordered a personal pie, which is about 10 inches pepperoni, we always judge a pizza place by the pepperoni. It's a pizza they should make the most often and they should always have the best quality on the pizza itself was OK during the eating process. Crust was good. Sauce was okay but seemed like premade. It was overly overly greasy, but we ate it anyway. the problem came after. my wife got sick for the rest of the day and I a 40-year-old man got three news zits that I didn't think I'd ever get again at this age. the Grease truly was overwhelming. Aside from the food itself we just didnt vibe with the overall feeling of the restaurant the decor meshed the ownership and/or salesman. There didn't seem to match the energy the place is trying to put out. The best part of the restaurant was the chef who was 10,000% more charismatic and kind than the guy selling the pizzas and talking to the customers . put her in front and you'll double your sales in a day. Also the main reason why they didn't have slices they said they weren't getting enough sales on their slices which seems backwards because sliced pizza should be the reason why you pull in customers get a cheap slice deal and you'll get customers by the drove even if the pizza isn't that good they must think that all of their business is going to come from full pies and delivery but again this clashes with the ideals that they have a pool table and a foosball table for entertainment inside the restaurant why have these extraneous things if they're gonna cater only to delivery like I said the vibe did not match properly and for that reason I probably won't ever come back here which is a shame because again I love local pizza places
