This review is for the location at the Talking Stick Amphitheater in Phoenix AZ. I visited the amphitheater last evening and decided to try Ziggy's Magic Pizza. The experience was thoroughly disappointing: the price point is egregiously inflated for what you receive. The pizza arrived undercooked and lukewarm, with cheese that remained stubbornly unmelted and dough that retained its frozen, uncooked texture. If this is meant to represent authentic New York pizza, it falls catastrophically short of the mark. The overall construction and flavor profile are disturbingly reminiscent of the subpar cafeteria pizza served in elementary schools throughout New York. It barely edges out Ellio's frozen supermarket pizza in terms of quality. Very disappointed!
We had a chance to stop by on a Saturday night when we stayed at a hotel nearby while visiting Phoenix for a Diamondbacks game. It started off a little rough, however it got better mostly thanks to one person our server, Chloe. The front desk person at our hotel recommended Ziggy's as a place to go for some food and a couple drinks when we got back to the hotel at 9pm after the game. He mentioned it was a takeout pizza place in the front, but if we walked through towards the kitchen, there would be a door that would take us into a speakeasy. The bar had a dance floor tables and about a dozen old school pinball machines. Sounds cool, huh? Turns out that night was going to be a dance party starting at 10pm with a DJ, but luckily no cover. We went through the "speakeasy's" refrigerator door to the large bar area that had several larger tables and a few round two people high top tables. There was a security person as we walked in who barely acknowledged us. I think the first person you encounter at an establishment kind of sets the tone . We asked if we just sat anywhere or needed to wait to be seated which he responded "huh?" so after asking the question more simply he said just sit anywhere and waved his hand toward the open space. We sat at one of the high two top tables. Our server quickly came to the table and greeted us. Ask us if we wanted a drink. We ordered a drink and talked about getting some food ordered as well. She then told us that in about a half hour they were going to be moving the high top tables off of the floor and we might want to consider moving to one of the logger tables that were up to the side which we did. They have a lot of creative pizza options but unfortunately it was too busy to order any type of specialty pizza, so the only offerings were pepperoni and cheese slices which was no big deal. So we got a couple slices of pepperoni and an order of wings. The food came out and the slices were OK. Not the best pizza I've ever had but definitely not the worst. Same for the wings. But the whole time our server, Chloe was very attentive and friendly. She was definitely a 5+. At about 10 o'clock, the DJ started playing and the place filled up. It was a very eclectic crowd and although the vibe inside is very 70s-90's featuring a lot of David Bowie and Ziggy Stardust posters and 70s and 80s style pinball machines and a wall made up of musical acts like blink 182 Jane's Addiction , the music was definitely more 2000 to 2015 hip-hop. But everybody seemed to be having a good time.
Good pizza and good drinks. Cool place. Cute that the entrance to the game area/bar looks like a freezer. We ordered the honey hot pepperoni pizza, ziggy wings, starburst drink, pineapple passion drink. The food was yummy and the drinks were good.
Nice quick stop for lunch breaks when we're in the area. Plenty of options to choose from and good food as well pricing. Service is always fast and friendly. They have plenty of seating available for what ever size part you bring, kid and family friendly as well. Seem well kept when I've come in so far nice and clean as well stocked everything available and hot to serve!
Super dope spot, Pizzeria from the outside and an arcade on the inside! Great customer service as well as great food. They have some parking available as well, first come first serve though. I ordered a slice of "the boss" which is essentially a "Supreme" kind of combination of toppings, and then an order of ziggy fries which are parmesan & salt/ pepper The boss: 5/5 The crust is light and crunchy and the sauce, cheese, and toppings go together very well. Ziggy fries 5/5 the fries they use have some sort of light batter so they're crunchy and flaky a lil bit but not too much. Fried to perfection Will be coming back here when I'm ever in PHX, AZ. We got half vegan and half the boss pizza. And so good. It's not too greasy. Some pizzas swim in grease but not this one. It was perfect. The crust was thin just like how pizza should be. I had this over at my hotel room. I was hosting my birthday and all my ladies said it's amazing. Even the vegan side was very good too.
The pizza was good! It was little bit too cheesy and runny, but to each their own. I like my pizza with a little more sauce. It was still yummy regardless. The portion size was huge to share with three people. The service was standard and friendly. Really enjoyed the speakeasy bar and the pinball machines. I'm sure this place gets packed at night during the weekend. Thank you!!! :)
Hey Yelp friends! This Pizza Shop is out of this world!!! We ordered a few different pizzas by the piece and it was all delish. My favs were the one with the hot honey, and the Maui one. This is a groovy little pizza shop up front. Throw back to all the 80's pop. They have seating outside on a patio. The most likable part of this place besides the delish pizza pie is the super cool speak easy style arcade/ bar/disco in the back. Super fun!! It's like you are entering the freezer and then you wind up in a whole other pinball party room. It's cool for families during the day with music and a light up dance floor with neon lights and glow in the dark colors. In the evenings they have a bar and it's adult time. The pizzas have cool names. You can order from the many options. Check it out! We will be back when we are back in the area for sure! The staff is cool and helpful for sure. The name definitely fits this pizza place. Check it out!!
PIZZA in a somewhat PINCH! Ziggy's was a life-saver considering I wanted a pizza at 10:30pm after a trip to the Suns game nearby. I was staying at the Hampton Inn with family so I placed a delivery order, I waited 45 mins for my extra-large pepperoni pizza. The online ordering system was a little whack, it took me a minute to get my order right. However, i eventually figured it out and was able to track my food. The wait was reasonable considering the DT Phoenix traffic and buzz following the game. My pizza came right at the approximate time, we received our order at the hotel lobby! The pizza was solid, I'd say it's in the middle of the pack when it comes to local pizza. I would like to try their other options as the pepperoni was amazing.
Ziggy's is our favorite pizza spot! We love coming with our kids not just for the pizza and wings, but of course for the pinball games. Our kids can play and be kids while I enjoy my wings and fries. The Ziggy Fries are so good!!! And I love it with the Stardust wings. We've always had great service and super nice servers. Sometimes they give my kids free tokens too. They do have pretty loud music, like any time of the day we go, but honestly we don't mind because they play good music.
The pizza place to enter through to get to Ziggy's had the coolest vintage ninja turtle toys on display. Throughout the hallways walk to entry of Ziggy's were funny posters and weird art that made us laugh out loud. Ziggy's was illuminated upon entry, I love the disco floor and the drinks were modestly priced so affordable. Trippy Red drink was reallyyyyyy good! My boyfriend and I loved the flavor! It was reminiscent of a candy. We had a lot of fun, more than anticipated, playing pinball. The bartender was quick and the service was with a smile. Love the trippy lights and the hallway to bathroom was bizarre. Such an adventure and there was free parking out front which was nice.
My friends and I stopped in on a Saturday afternoon. We went to the bar for a drink. It's so cool inside. Music is great. Bartender was great. It's spacious and fun. The drinks were great. I want to come back and try the pizza.

Pizza, pinball & good vibes! We were having drinks at Stardust Pinbar and decided to order a little Ziggys Magical Pizza Shop to go with the fun. I've been here before and already knew I loved the vibe and the pizza, so it was an easy choice! I grabbed a slice of pepperoni, and it hit the spot. The crust had that perfect balance of crispness around the edges while staying soft and chewy in the center, with a flavorful tomato sauce, plenty of melty cheese, and those crispy, slightly curled pepperoni edges that make every bite extra good. Simple, classic, and seriously satisfying. I love places that have a personality of their own, and Ziggys definitely has that magical, funky energy that makes you want to hang around a little longer. Pair it with drinks and some pinball at Stardust and you've got yourself a pretty perfect night. read more

The pizza and wings were definitely a solid meal overall. The pizza stood out the most--the crust had a nice golden bake with a good balance between crispy edges and a softer center. The toppings were loaded on generously, and I liked the variety of flavors across the pizza. Between the cheese, veggies, meat, sauce, and the crispy chicken pieces, every bite had something going on. The sauce added a nice sweet and tangy kick that pulled everything together, although a few areas felt a little heavy with toppings and sauce. The chicken wings were flavorful and well-seasoned, especially with the different styles giving you some variety. The sauced wings looked nicely coated with plenty of flavor, while the dry-seasoned wings had a good amount of seasoning on the outside. The dipping sauces were a nice touch and helped round everything out. I'd give the whole meal a 3.75 out of 5 --really good, satisfying, and definitely something I'd eat again. A little more consistency with the crispiness of the wings and a slightly more balanced pizza would've pushed it into the 4+ range. Overall: good food, big flavors, and a solid experience. read more

The only "magic" thing about this place is the $10 it made disappear from my bank account. Both slices I got were very underwhelming. They were thin, overcooked, and burnt. The dough tasted like absolutely nothing. The sauce was good but minimal. I ate half of one slice and threw the rest away. The person taking our order wasn't friendly. The back of the restaurant is cool, complete with a lit up dance floor and arcade. I've been here at night, and it essentially turns into a club with loud music. read more

Always a great late night spot. Pizza is always fresh and hot, and the wait is typically not too long (if it's not crazy busy post-Van Buren events!). The 2 slice + drink deal is pretty reasonable and really hits the spot after a night out! I love the pepperoni, and their ranch pairs perfectly with it. It is a small shop for sure, with barely any seating so that's definitely something to keep in mind. I honestly don't mind sitting on the curb or taking it to go, but if you want to eat it then and there it might be a little hassle. read more

Such a fun place!!! We were downtown for a concert and had some time to burn, since Ziggys was right across the street from our hotel, we decided to go for a couple drinks. Amazing vibe all around. So much so that we decided to change our dinner plans and went back for some delicious pizza. Everyone was really nice but we just loved the bartender, Rachel. Super sweet, welcoming. While waiting for a VIP Experience for a show to start check in at the Van Buren, I decided to pop in for a quick slice as there is nothing worse than being hungry waiting for a show to start. Immediately noticed the fun decor in the shop, and wanted to love the pizza. A little greasy, but a very solid slice and at a good price! Great music, nice people and a good time!!! Pizza was good, dough , ranch, all of it! Secret not so secret room . Entrance by the bathroom. Can play pinball back there. They played really good music while waiting in the main area and in the back. This place was a chill spot and a good time to just kick it and eat pizza of course. I came here for lunch during the week and it was pretty fast service. Everyone was very nice I ordered the two items combo special for $10 Hawaiian slice and a pepperonis slice with a drink. You can pick any kind of pizza slice you want. They have a game/dining area in the back pretty cool. Overall I did like the taste of the pizza and I will definitely be back for more. read more
This spot is fantastic for so many reasons! The customer couldn't be better. I enjoyed my encounter with 4 staff members in a row. Their pies will make you cry. Wings and everything you would want in a Pizza Joint, but wait! There is more. Go to the walk in freezer door. This Speak Easy entranceis way cool!!. It leads to a bar with a dance floor and an arcade! Friends, family, work, fun, solo or meet up with that interesting person. read more

This review is specifically for the pizza. The club in the back is a good time. The pepperoni slice tasted like cafeteria or gas station pizza, just cheap. I even had it when I was drunk and it still didn't hit the spot. The cheese slice was a little better. If they're open, Via Della right across the street is superior. read more

This place will be more of a young adult vibe but kids are certainly welcome to play the games.
