The service was great as soon as we walked up, they seated us and gave us time to process the menu. We started with a Vigchelada and Mimosa and they were both refreshing. We ordered an appetizer, calamari and shrimp and that's was savory. For entrees we ordered the chilaquiles and steak and eggs. The ambiance was relaxing as we sat inside and the lights were dim and there was no noise. I would definitely come back.
This was a really good experience. I've been to the Arcadia location and my experience was the same. Only giving 4 stars because I wanted a fish sandwich instead of fish and chips but the chef said no. I ordered a bun on the side and made it myself. Our server was great and made sure we had everything we needed.

The calamari flavor wasn't as bold as I had hoped, but the lemon gave it more of a zing. The soda was refreshing and complemented the meal well. They also gave a free bday dessert which was yummy!

The Vig has many locations in the valley. It appears to be a staple. The ambiance is nice - they even have a large patio seating area. Our server stopped by when only half of the table was seated (the rest were either in the restroom or at the bar). He told us he'd be right back but it took him nearly 10-15 min to come back. The restaurant wasn't busy either. This was the first red flag. When we placed our orders, it took 15-20 min for our entrees to arrive. I ordered the grilled chicken chopped salad. It was so mediocre for $19. The chicken was tough and dry - I could barely pierce it with my fork. I asked for a new side of chicken and it was not that much better. It wasn't over cooked but it was low quality. My friend ordered The Vig burger and they brought out the wrong one. It took forever for them to bring a replacement. My husband also ordered this, and it just tasted average. Our other friend ordered a burger with a side of fries. When it arrived, it came with mac and cheese. One of the servers took the plate and said she'd replace it, but then our main server just brought it back with the same exact thing 5 min later. She did end up getting her side of fries later on. I was really excited about the parmsean truffle fries because they were so fragrant but it turned out to be a bust. The fries did not taste fresh and you could hardly taste the truffle parm. The quality, the service, and the overpriced food made the experience lackluster. Overall, this was one of the worst restaurants I've been to in a long time.

Certain things didn't even make sense to be delayed (my friend was told they were "working on her Diet Pepsi"). The service was nice, but not functional. We got wrong orders, failing to correct that wrong order multiple times, and just overall seemed to exhibit a lack of communication or workflow in the restaurant. The food was also lackluster. The guacamole didn't taste like it had any lime at all. My wife's salad came with chicken breast that was insanely dry. This was not a personal opinion, it was objectively dry as it was borderline chicken jerky. We received a new piece of chicken that was cooked better but overall seemed like low quality chicken was used. My burger was fine, and so were the fries. But I had upgraded to the truffle Parmesan fries and the "truffle Parmesan" flavors were very weak. Ultimately didn't live up to being a $20+ burger Our group was left wondering what just happened and unsatisfied. There are much better dining options downtown

Thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience at the Vig. Party of 23 dined here recently and the process from making a reservation to being seated, to ordering, to keeping tabs separated, to the food and service ...everything was excellent. We all had a variety of dishes from the stem frites, enchiladas, tacos, pasta...all were a hit. The apps were also enjoyed. Definitely recommend this restaurant...add to your rotation today!
The Vig is always a hit for a nice lunch. On today's visit we sat inside even though the patio is very inviting, it was a very hot summer day! We started with drinks, I had the blackberry smash, not too sweet, refreshing with bourbon and blackberry puree.. yum! They have a great lunch, happy hour and a regular menu. There is something for everyone. I had the Thai noodles.. sorta like pad Thai. Delicious and filling. Service was on point. I will definitely be back.
I've been to the Vig 3 other times and always had a wonderful experience. This time was just meh, subpar. The positives: the food was hot and tasty. The burger and fries were delicious as were the steak frites. The wings were crispy but could've used more sauce. The patio is large and beautiful. However, we had some negatives going on this particular Saturday evening. First, we had reservations, and we showed up a few minutes early, but it still took them 20 minutes to seat us, despite the fact that it was not busy at all. Second and most disappointing, our server was not good. He was not attentive, took forever for him to take our order and bring our food, and we had to ask him numerous times to refill our water and soft drinks cause he never stopped by to check on us. With so many great choices out there, I'll go somewhere else next time with better service.

Recently popped in for happy hour and early dinner. Man! This was probably the best food they've ever served me. I don't know if it was the kitchen crew, my timing, or some other factor, but I'm here to say bravo. As always, drinks were on point. Their margs are $6 during happy hour, which is a steal by any standard. I also had a dirty martini, which was well balanced and a little on the dirty side, which is exactly how I take it. It was a scorching day in Phoenix, so i really wasn't feeling a hot dish. I ordered the club and was blown away by how big it was. When I tell you they did NOT skimp on the meat, what I mean is I literally had to take some out to eat it. Not complaining a bit. My dining partner had a burger, which I lovingly helped myself to. It was also amazing. Perfect medium cook, well seasoned, and packed with fresh veg. Our server was super nice and attentive, but that's always been my experience here. I would say if you haven't been here for a while, now might be the right time to pop in because their kitchen is churning out great dishes. read more

The lack of parking was very difficult for me. But that's probably out of the restaurant's control. The shrimp tacos were very yummy. The service was good overall but someone else in my party ordered chicken salad and there was no chicken in it, which was bizarre. There was a miscommunication which made it even more frustrating but they did remedy the problem for them. It's a very nice place, casual enough but good for a date as well. read more
I had a colleague meeting me recently at the Arizona State University Downtown Campus, and we decided to go for a short walk to The Vig Fillmore for lunch a few weeks ago. We arrived and learned about the menu specials for lunch. We noted the starters, soups & greens, sandwiches, tacos, brunch options, entrees, dessert, kids meals, and many drink options. Since we were working, we stuck with the lunch specials that are available on weekdays from 11 AM to 3 PM for only $14. They included an entree (Genuine Burger, Chicken Sandwich & Side, Asian Chicken Salad, or Pozole) and drink. We both chose the Chicken Sandwich lunch specials. I got mine with a side salad and lemonade. They were delicious, a bit smaller than a typical dinner portion, but certainly something I'd consider again over lunch. The Vig Fillmore is in the historic part of Downtown Phoenix with a large, shaded patio along with some indoor rooms, too. As it was a record-breaking day when we were visiting, we opted to sit indoors. In addition to plenty of outdoor seating which is shaded and cool, there are limited seating right by the front door where we sat along with other indoor seating that I have yet to experience. The service we received was wonderful plus they weren't too busy being lunchtime in the middle of the week while ASU was still in summer mode. The Vig is part of the Genuine Concepts restaurants and have been around since 2006. Other Genuine Concepts include Campo Italian Bistro and Bar, The Genuine, The Little Woody, The Womack, and The McMillan Bar and Kitchen (in Flagstaff). There are currently seven The Vig restaurants with an eight opening in Paradise Valley in the near future. The Fillmore location is open Monday through Thursday from 11 AM to 10 PM, Friday from 11 AM to 11 PM, Saturday from 10 AM to 11 PM, and Sunday from 10 AM to 10 PM. You can make reservations for lunch or dinner (or something in between) for The Vig Fillmore at OpenTable or on their website. I thought this place was nice, but nothing stood out as super amazing. I got the Mediterranean salad which our waiter said was a menu item exclusive to this location. I also added shrimp. I liked the amount of shrimp they gave, but I found the overall dish to be a bit salty. I'm not sure if it was the shrimp or the olives or the extreme amount of feta, but something was super salty. My friend ordered the pretzel with cheese and another friend ordered Mac n cheese. I tried a bit of both, and both cheeses kind of had a weird texture. A bit like the cheese sauce had broken? Also tasted slightly bland. Another negative was the flourless chocolate cake. This was a pass for me as it was bitter and a tough texture. In terms of positives it was my friends birthday and they do a free birthday dessert! It was the bread pudding. I really enjoyed this! Honestly my favorite bite of the night. Another highlight was the hibiscus gin spritz. I thought it tasted yummy and seemed like it had a good amount of alcohol. Lastly, the ambience and service was super great! Everyone was very nice and the place itself is very pretty. Overall I'm not sure I would choose to come here again, but I wouldn't mind if someone wanted to come here. read more
The Vig is a go to spot for my friend and I before concerts downtown! It is a nice vibe inside. Parking is easy and it is normally not too busy. We always start with chips and guac which are always a hit! I got the harvest salad with chicken for my entree. It was nice and fresh! Chicken was nothing special. Our server was not the most attentive with refilling our drinks but besides that did a good job! Not my ultimate fave but a solid spot. read more

We got to the restaurant for an early dinner around 5pm and were told they were short staffed and service will be slower than normal. I'm definitely appreciative when a server gives us that warning as we can decide to leave or stay committed... which of course we did. As for the food: Enchiladas-5/5, I haven't had enchiladas in a minute, but definitely will come back and it's perfectly filled with chicken, sauce, and topped with a bunch of toppings. Pesto pasta- 4/5- great taste full of basil and garlic, but lacking chicken. Feels like there was only a sprinkle of chicken Posole - 2/5- it looks good when it came out, but OMG it was salty galore. I thought adding lime would help, but after 5 slices ... I'm like, not worth getting high blood pressure for this As for drinks, forgot what we ordered, but it was good. read more
Came here last weekend and the place is super cute! Had reservations for 4 and got seated inside by the bar. Disappointed with the table, it was a bit too tight and had to really try not to kick people that sat across from you. Food came out pretty delicious! Started with the crispy calamari and shrimp and it was very flavorful! We also tried the Pozole Soup yum!Then we ordered the Pastrami Reuben and it was delicious! We also ordered the New York Steak Frites and steak came out perfect temperature! We also ordered the Honey Hot chicken sandwich which had a good flavor too! This place is hidden but a beautiful place to eat & drink. This vibe reminds me like CA. I loved it. My first time trying the espresso martini. It did not disappoint. It was delicious and on happy hour. I will go back for this drink . The cheeseburger slider was a hit. The calamari & shrimp was good. The shrimps ere small, but tasty. The parking was on the streets which I was not a fan of, but luckily I got good parking. It says private lot but I'm not sure where that was at. read more

The food tasted great and was cooked well. The server was on top of things and friendly. I really liked their Pineapple Sunrise cocktail. I had the pozole soup which was a pretty solid version. I've had more flavorful versions but this was still better than some I've had. The bread pudding was probably the most underwhelming thing I ordered. Nothing outstanding but nothing bad about it. I was invited to meet friends here. This location looks small on the outside and large on the inside! I ordered the steak frites cooked to medium. It was cooked to medium rare, but the quality of the steak was melt in your mouth quality! The fries that came with it were perfectly cooked, nice and crispy!! And the greens, broccolini was so good!! I also ordered the crème brûlée cheesecake... like how could you not... amazing, tasted amazing! This place wasn't bad nice and cozy feeling. Very comfortable. I'd definitely come back. The menu is limited though, which explains how they're able to make everything so good! I'd come back for sure! read more

The drinks were great! Espresso martinis are hit or miss for me, and this one was pretty good. I also got an extra dirty martini with gin and that was also pretty good. The truffle fries were ok, the sliders were good. (Not pictured, pretzel and wings) the pretzel was ok, I was not a fan of the cheese. The wings were amazing! The ranch and blue cheese with it were also really good. It's a cute location, there's decent space, their patio area is also super cute. I definitely want to come back when it's not as hot. The service was ok... the tables were sticky when we sat down, so was the table next to us. The waitress also cleared our plates and we were still working on our food. Overall, not terrible, I really enjoy the different locations in the valley. Vibes wise, this might be the cutest location. read more
Love this place! Stumbled across it and didn't realize what a gem franchise it is. Staff were lovely, food was fantastic, dj on the Saturday was awesome, ambience was everything! I was initially surprised that they didn't have changing tables for babies but the staff saw me walking in with my kids and personally directed me to the additional bathrooms with change tables on the hidden spot of the restaurant. Came in alone for lunch around 3 PM. Was quickly seated at the bar inside. Lucky for me happy hour was going on. This probably has to be one of the best happy hours in Phoenix. The portions are good size and there's lots of options to choose from. The service was quick and friendly. I totally recommend stopping by! read more

Great service. I wasn't fond of the regular menu but the brunch menu had tasty bites on it. I decided on the chorizo burrito and added bacon to it. I was glad I did because the chorizo and potatoes were a bit mushy but the crunch of the bacon broke up the mush monotony. It was served super hot and fresh and the salsa it came with had a nice kick to it. Definitely recommend, flavorful and great atmosphere! Also the hostess that sat us was amazing! read more

Visited the Vig earlier today because I heard about their summer special and I wanted to check it out for the first time. promoting all day everyday 6 dollar espresso martini, margs, and Titos. I was then disappointed that my waitress told us no saying it was Monday through Friday and only espressos so we got them but clearly says in the picture it's a variety . She gave pretty average service nothing special got the job. Food is good wouldn't change a thing we just got wings , salad, and wings all great average prices. Ambience is like an outside backyard summer vibe with misters it's nice . Service changes the review a lot and feel like it affected the dining experience it could've been more warming . Public parking all over. On the street and limited spaces behind the restaurant. I don't think there are vouchers, never asked for one.
Are there bottomless mimosas during brunch?
No bottomless. But Sundays you can get a bottle for $25 + your choice of juice carafe on the side!
Gluten free options?
My niece joined us Sunday and she's Vegan and she totally loved the options they had for her. Also, they said many of their menu items are or can be made to meet your gluten-free and vegetarian needs upon requests. I hope this helps. 😊
