We came here for my bday dinner and it was delicious! We got an appetizer, entrees and dessert and every thing was really good. The vibe is very fun with kind of a fancy/partying feel. Great place for a birthday dinner. I would recommend a reservation if coming on a weekend during dinner time if you have a big group. Our food came out quickly and the waitresses kept our waters full and checked on us the perfect amount.

First time visiting Miel de Agave in Phoenix, and overall the food and service did not disappoint. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with dim lighting and individual table lights creating an solid dining experience.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Live music later in the evening/week adds a fun energy and elevated the nightlife vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our server Marcia was attentive, knowledgeable, and provided excellent menu recommendations throughout the night. Entrées - Ribeye Aguachile ($24) - drenched in a bold, spicy salsa with the perfect balance of heat, acidity, and tanginess with a Tapatío-like kick. - Never Before Risotto ($34) - despite not containing mexican rice, this dish delivered a elote-inspired experience. Rich, creamy, and topped with five shrimp scampi. Cocktail - Classic Old Fashioned ($22) - smoky, smooth, and well-balanced, pairing perfectly with the meal. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Few noticable areas that could use attention is restroom maintenance and fruit fly/gnat presence. During our visit, the restrooms appeared unclean, out of toilet-paper, and drenched hand towels at the sink.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Surrounding our seating area were gnats which were persistent enough at the table and needed to be swatted away from our plates.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]MdA would benefit from more frequent attention throughout service hours to better reflect the quality of the restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall, Miel de Agave offers unique flavors, handcrafted cocktails, and a vibrant atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]With a little more attention to restroom upkeep, the experience would be even better.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Will return in the future.

First time here, it was definitely a surprise! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Loved the atmosphere they had![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It was Saturday night but it was pretty busy! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Loved the LED lights and the ambiance.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Music was decently loud, but you could hold a conversation if you're not hard of hearing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered the Sonora tacos but they were out of chicken so I got shrimp. 5/5 on the food and the green salsa was SPICY. Be careful The drinks were decent, not over poured and not overpriced. GREAT drink presentations! Restrooms were clean and stocked. I would come back

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance was giving cute date night spot.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food was pretty good. I ordered the quesabirria and they were super filling. The service wasn't stand out but it also wasn't anything to complain about.

Late night Father's Day pick that turned out great! Service was fast and the food was hot and tasty! I also enjoyed my cucumber highball very refreshing. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance was dark and sultry.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Loved it!

The service was mediocre, the manager's stress level showed in how she treated us at the hostess station. She was even rude to the hostess who was running around like she was confused. Had we not walked a mile to get there after not getting into the first restaurant we came downtown for, normally we would have exited immediately after that poor first encounter. Overall: The carne asada was good but The food and drinks were overpriced and the service was not at the level for the price point.

So I needed another bloody Mary but I couldn't find the spot. I came by here months ago for a lunch with friends as it popped up on my Yelp but it was closed.. I then was like ok let's try it I see a Michelada in my future meal plans. So I had the ceviche let the church say amen fresh fresh did I say fresh. The huge fresh shrimp perfectly cooked and avocado yes on top of the Ceviche. Michelada excellent. I also had there green chili enchiladas with steak, the tortillas taste freshly made I give the dish a 3 but based on my taste I like more of a tangy tomatillo for my green chili sauce. They were good just unexpected. If you want a more creamy sauce then it'll meat your taste buds. I definitely recommend

This is a must try in Phoenix! Exceptional customer service, Marcia gave us the best recommendations & everything we tried was delicious. I would comeback and order the same thing again. Interior is so clean, great elegant decor, lively music. The vibe is a classy, sophisticated, a place for a a fun night or a nice date. Overall a solid spot for a good time with good company. What we tried : Aguachiles ribeye 10/10 Birria Tacos 10/10 Chipotle Pasta 10/10 Drinks : ESPRESSO MARTINI (not too sweet, perfectly balanced) MOJITO (refreshing) LA BERRY NICE (pulpy! You taste the middle blackberries & raspberries, so refreshing) Dessert : Cheesecake 10/10

Very fun restaurant that has great drinks. We weren't 100% sure on what to order so the server brought us 5 of their most popular appetizers and everyone of them was great. We got the pork belly, elote, ribeye, and a few others! For dinner most of us had steak which was amazing especially since it comes with a quesadilla what a nice little paring! I would definitely go at night it almost looks like Cabo when you walk in! One thing didn't love was I would say it's a $$ to $$$ restaurant and they had the toast POS in their hands while taking orders. Such a small thing but I don't think this restaurant is casual enough for that especially with it being higher end Mexican.

Every dish we ordered was outstanding. The MDA Guacamole was incredibly fresh, flavorful, and one of the best guacamoles we have had. The Ribeye Aguachile was unique, tender, and packed with bold flavors that balanced perfectly. The Quesabirria was exceptional, with perfectly crispy tortillas, juicy, well seasoned beef, and rich consommé for dipping that took it to another level. Everything tasted fresh, was beautifully presented, and exceeded our expectations. It is clear that the kitchen takes pride in both quality and flavor. We will absolutely be coming back to try more of the menu. Five stars.

No official parking nearby so would recommend taking public transport or ride share, got lucky with street parking ~0.3 miles away. Also tough to figure out how to get in. Once in the vibes were cool with very friendly staff. The food was also really good and reasonably priced. Overall would recommend going.

My friend and I walked in as the restaurant was opening for lunch and were seated immediately. It was not super busy. The waitress, Marcia, was kind and very knowledgeable of the menu - including offering a barcode on the back to look at how each item was prepared. The service was 5 stars. The food (which is how I rate a restaurant): we ordered the ribeye aguachile for an appetizer, which was very flavorful, tender, and had a little kick. We enjoyed it a lot. We wanted the pork belly but it wasn't ready. For our meals, we ordered the quesabirria. It was a little oily with less cheese than I am accustomed. It also was a little soggy in some areas. The sauces were good that accompanied them. *** Overall, I'd come back to try more menu items!

We were in the area for my son's graduation, and we just searched good food near us! This place popped up and waw all I can say is the presentation from walking up to entering is amazing! Very great vibe and the hostess were very kind and commentating as a party of 5 with no reservations they worked with us and sat us in their patio area. Very nice setting inside and out, we had Jorge as a server and I just have to say THE ABSOLUTE BEST SERVICE EVER! He was knowledgeable about the menu gave wonderful recommendations on food and drinks. He was honestly one of the best waiters we have had in a long time, checking in on how the food was, refills on drinks and he even surprised my son with a cheese cake and poster for graduation! Such a cool touch to set up our night! We had birria tacos with the great sauce and beans, three green sour cream steak enchiladas with a tasty salad and burger and fries! A few shots of don julio and a couple Mexican candy shots that Jorge recommended for me since I didn't want anything too harsh or strong! That was the BEST SHOT I EVER HAD! And will now be my go to!!! We will be back for more delicious food and great service! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

The space is warm, moody, and inviting--like a lighthearted Western brought to life--with candlelight and rich wooden accents creating an atmosphere that begs you to settle in and stay awhile. The drink menu was eclectic and thoughtfully curated, offering both trendy and classic cocktails alongside an impressive selection of spirits, beer, and wine. The bartenders were knowledgeable enough to suggest excellent off-menu creations and kept the drinks--including the water--flowing with effortless style and hospitality. The wedge salad was crisp and bright, elevated by thoughtful ingredients like jalapeño bacon and balsamic onions. The crab dip was a standout: packed generously with crab and complemented by just the right amount of cheese, finely chopped red onions, and crispy breadcrumbs. We ended the evening with St. George Absinthe, an absolute gem of an offering. Jake, Brad, and Stormy were kind, attentive, and full of great recommendations without ever feeling pushy or intrusive. Main level/Upstairs vibe is well-lit with a true cantina bar feel. High-top tables, seats at the bar & happy hour from 4-7 pm make it ideal for some $7 drinks!!. The collection of Tequilas is GREAT. Many of which do not contain additives. I won't lie, I thought I was a big fan until I realized I didn't recognize a lot of the tequilas they had on hand. Downstairs is a whole different vibe. Custom craft cocktails, dim lighting with artwork, and more make it feel like an upscale NYC spot in your basement. I did 2 of my favorites, Paloma De Guayaba with the custom block name etched and the Baya Nueva. While in the Cantina, I had to order my friend the Basura (trash), but that wasn't the case... then again, it is served in a plastic bag, and is definitely a throwback to my early 20's of gettin' lit!!!! It was busy, but not packed, which made the service stand out more than it should have. I had to ask for water twice, never got a refill, and overall felt largely ignored--minimal eye contact, no real warmth, just an impersonal feel that didn't match the space. It felt like a place that may be a bit of a victim of its own success--popularity has grown, but delivery hasn't fully kept pace. Part of the appeal here is the permanent taco truck outside, which I know from past visits is excellent, and I love the truck's outspoken, unapologetic support for immigrants. That said, the cocktail itself was excellent. I was specifically looking for a coffee-based drink before heading to another event, and the Cambures al Estilo Foster delivered on flavor. It was tiny, though--served in a small stemmed glass, gone in a few sips. It did the job, but some may find the portion underwhelming for the price. No major complaints, but nothing pulling me back either. I'm adding a fourth star on a bit of a hunch--I'd like to think they can dial it back in if I return.

My party and I had a reservation on a Saturday night at 9pm (when it's 13 people, what can you do). What kind of sucked though (and mainly why I'm deducting a star) is that we did wait an additional half hour to be seated after our reservation time. Our theory is that they didn't think the entire party would actually arrive, and they were not ready to accommodate us. To be fair, the restaurant IS on the smaller side, but there was 0 communication during that half hour on what was going on... which isn't really good for us either. We got the original set, and this somewhat confused me as well. The food was really good, and was definitely a restaurant that I'd go to for the experience, but for some reason some of the meats were doubled while others weren't. The double portions were really nice since our party was so large, we needed to split the food between 4 different grills (so each table got 2 grills each, feeding 6-7 people in total or 3-4 people per grill), but then we had to share the portions where we only got one serving. It wasn't bad, but to me, didn't make sense. The food was really good though; I didn't care too much about the soup, but the green sauce was SO good. Mixing a little with the soup was incredible. I thought the beef and pork were really good. I personally left the restaurant full, but many others in my party did not. I think it's a really good amount of food for 2 people, but when you push to 3+, you probably do not want to come hungry. Also--the live music at Pemberton next door is SO LOUD, you're going to be shouting at your table the entire night when you sit outside. I think I would come back if I wanted to show this place to someone who didn't live here, but it isn't on the top of my list for when I'm trying to eat out, but I will definitely consider this for special date night occasions. It is extremely expensive for what it is though. For $70+ you risk the chance of leaving not full which SUCKS.
