Holy cow!! The food here is next level!! The service is phenomenal. The space itself is beautiful and there was a fun group that were really into the DBacks game in the 9th inning playing on the small tv. Super fun vibes. The enchiladas!!! It's not what you are used to. The tortillas come on the side and there's a bowl of this soupy deliciousness that you scoop up with the tortilla and when you eat it, you see God. The potato flautas were fire too. Their brunch menu looks awesome and we heard it's an even more fun time, so we definitely plan to come back for some pozole, which I've heard is the best around.
Carne Asada Burrito was amazing. Our server said they make the sauces in-house and don't keep them for more than a day or two so sometimes the spice changes depending on where the ingredients come from.
Downtown Phoenix has been winning me over lately and Centríco is officially on the list. The vegan taco plate was a yes from the first bite, mushrooms with that dehydrated corn giving the perfect little pop moment. Meanwhile my husband was fully committed to the chile verde with pork and called it divine so we were both thriving. The guac is my kind of guac, made fresh right at the table and we absolutely requested extra serranos because we have standards. Iced tea stayed flowing, portions were just right so you leave feeling good not weighed down, and our server was fantastic. The aesthetic is dangerously good, like I was mentally redecorating my house the entire time, and the bar area is super cute. Indoor, outdoor, and even a more private space for groups so it checks all the boxes. Would absolutely be back.
Céntrico means "central," "downtown," or "centrally located" in Spanish. It describes something situated right in the middle of a town or a focal point. Nicely named. We were in the area after a Phoenix Mercury game and popped in for some eats that meets the dietary restrictions of everyone present. I had two tacos de asada and two tacos de pescado ($25) along with a Modelo Michelada ($8.50). The table shared the guacamole al momento ($13) and also some chips & salsa ($3). The tacos de pescado were amazing but the tacos de asada weren't my favorite. That said, I also enjoyed their spicy house-made salsa. It's well worth ordering for the table. The $13 tableside guacamole does not need to be ordered though. I could be biased though because I think I make a pretty great guacamole. Rodrigo was our server and he was great.
I am absolutely loving the new location. The restaurant feels fresh and modern while still respecting its heritage. Service was great. We tried two different margaritas and both tasted like they had real juice in them and no artificial flavors. We ordered the queso fundido as an appetizer which was cheesy and delicious and I had the enchiladas for my main. Great new old restaurant for the area.
Live the new look and feel of the new location for Centrico. The patio is also a good size. It didn't seem too busy when we stopped in on a Saturday but there is also a big private room in the back that had a bunch of people so it would probably be a good place for a private event too. I started with the chipotle margarita, but it wasn't too spicy and I actually preferred the sandia margarita. It was really good. We also got the queso fundido and I loved the homemade tortillas and salsa with the queso. My birria beef enchiladas were delicious. I can't wait to come back and try more.
Came here after catching a WNBA game a little ways away. Maybe it's because we have a lot of great taco spots in town but I wasn't feeling this place. I got the chicken tacos and they were okay. Decent. But nothing to write home about. The table side guacamole is also something you can pass on. I do recommend the chips and salsa though. The salsa was especially good. The vibes and ambiance are great. It's a gorgeous spot for sure but the food leaves me wanting.
This is a good lunch spot downtown. They only serve brunch on the weekends, but the prices are not bad and definitely worth checking out for lunch. The chips are great but the salsa is just ok. There's a $3 charge for chips and salsa too. The service is hit or miss at best. If they want folks to keep coming back for lunch they should work on that. The enchiladas and the carne asada burrito is so good so we keep coming back for more. The Flautas de Papa are good too.
The drinks are great and the food is tasty! This is my second time here and both experiences had the same level of yummy quality dishes!
Overall this was a very good experience. Id go back, here's why... Food: we started with the chips and homemade guacamole. The chips were very good and the guacamole was mashed table-side and was excellent, super fresh, though not very plentiful, one avocado I believe. I ordered the chili verde, it tasted good but was very watery, 90% liquid, 10% meat, my buddy asked if I ordered soup. It had several soft, yummy chunks of pork, good cheese, and came with 4 excellent steamy, chewy, warm, delicious tortillas that seemed house-made. We also ordered the burrito which was very good, great size, fresh ingredients and the tacos which were decent, not amazing. The 2 margaritas we ordered were outstanding! Service: Our server, busser, the manager and maybe the owner who took care of us were all very nice, prompt, knowledgable and friendly. I hate the idea of "complaining" about overly-attentive service, but we had our great server, an attentive busser, followed by/or proceeded by a manager and maybe another owner checking on us pretty frequently and at times the "more margaritas?" felt a little heavy on the upselling. To be fair, they each probably didn't know the others were asking, but this could have been better coordinated. Still appreciated. Ambiance: really great music, nice variety, comfy, open, light, super easy to chill here. They struggled for a few minutes getting the lights dialed in, on and off, up and down around sunset, but they got there, no biggie, super comfortable. Value: very fair for what you get, good quality, reasonable portions, comfortable, excellent margs. Overall: I definitely recommend Centrico and look forward to going back. If you're anywhere downtown and looking for a great experience,, head to Centrico.
Just flew in and in looking for Tex Mex near the hotel, found this on yelp and decided to give it a try. Did not know it was a soft opening but looks like lots of folks already decided to try as well. Too bad I wasn't extremely hungry as it's almost midnight with my body clock but was craving some avocados and fish. Tacos hit the spot. The fish was perfectly battered (light) and fried. I added avocados on top so definitely amazing
All the staff were very friendly. We received very quick service, our food was ready so fast! Food and drinks were very tasty. I got a non-alcoholic michelada and the birria enchiladas.
It was pretty good. Service was fine. Food was pretty good. Ambiance was small and loudish. I enjoyed the Chicken Enchiladas that came with 2 sauces. 1 mole and 1 verde. I had a Margarita which was fine, except that I found a hair in my glass. Super gross! Minus 1 star for hair in my drink.

Tucked right into a corner of the hotel lobby, this small spot is exceptionally cozy, inviting, and clearly a popular local favorite. The staff provided super friendly service, and the food was delicious. Just keep in mind that most dishes pack some heat with spicy salsa, so proceed with caution if you are sensitive to spice. That said, the tacos and street corn were fantastic, and the potato flautas were absolutely incredible! read more
Went to lunch with some girlfriends of mine and had a delicious Mexican meal. There were 4 tacos, but I definitely got hungry before taking this picture. I added the side of beans to my tacos, I couldn't not have beans We also got the Queso Fundido to start and it was delicious! They had flour tortillas served with it which was actually a pleasant surprise rather than the normal corn tortilla chips. The service was quick and also let us have plenty of time to chit chat and drink our drinks. I highly recommend the prickly pear margarita! I am excited for the new location because this one is rather small. I will be back and experience the new location once they open! read more

Such a beautiful restaurant! I met up with a friend and had dinner before a show. I got a cocktail and the chicken enchiladas with a side of rice. Everything was great, service was great as well, would definitely come back! read more
This place was great. Good downtown location, walking distance to many of the venues in the surrounding area. Was able to grab a table and get out at a quick speed, so we could make it to a show. Server was incredible, one of the best, I wish we got his name. Food was incredible, fresh and flavorful. We were talking about making it part of our routine to come here each time we're downtown. Tip-of-the-hat to Yelp for another wonderful discovery! Céntrico, is located inside the historic San Carlos Hotel in Downtown Phoenix. Check out their online menu they are offering traditional Mexican fare but with a few surprises. The indoor dining area is cozy, but they do have a large outside patio area. They will only seat parties of 6 or fewer. Céntrico offers a specialty cocktail menu. I had to try the Jamaica Margarita. This was a perfect blend of tequila reposado, triple sec, simple syrup, hibiscus, and orange bitters. Plus one ordered the palomita, another beautiful concoction of tequila reposado, pink pample mousse, grapefruit juice, and sparkling wine. We started with chips and salsa. The salsa was chipotle-based with a touch of heat. We were told that their Guac was the best. It may not have been the best I've ever had, but it was in the top five. This portion is large and could be shared by 2-4 diners. Their menu is limited. We ordered the birria beef enchiladas and carne asada tacos. My enchiladas were stuffed with perfectly seasoned and moist beef. The tacos were perfectly cooked with a hint of spice. These are street tacos, so they were small but perfect for a two-bite delight! , Dis & Dat: Service was excellent and knowledgeable. Do wait to order your entrée if you are ordering Apps, as the food comes out fast. Do ask the host for a restroom key so you can check out the hotel lobby, chandelier, and a bit of the first floor of this historic hotel. read more

We had family in from out of town, and we went to an event downtown.. So we decided to walk down to Centrico, not sure what to expect... We walked in and were instantly greeted and seated for a part of 5 that is unusual to be seated so quickly! It's a cute little restaurant, they had the Book Of Life movie playing which I thought was a nice little touch to the nostalgia of the restaurant! The vibe was comfortable and cozy. We ordered chips, guac and salsa and that fresh Guac was absolutely amazing along side the fresh chips and salsa!! We actually ordered a second serving.. The red chili chicken enchiladas, beans and rice were some of the best we have had! Very tasty, with just enough spice! The pozole was amazing, for a very picky person my brother in law said it was amazing! My daughter got the red and green chili chicken enchiladas and loved them! The potato floutas were great and so was the hamburger and fries!! Michileladas were great.. So everything we had was GREAT AND WE WILL DEFINITELY BE GOING back!!! In the historic Hotel San Carlos is Centrico, a popular upscale bar spot offering a range of Mexican dishes and drinks. Eat at the bar, where the space is tight and the ambiance is cozy; or eat on the open patio, where you can enjoy your meal in the cool evening breezes. I came to Centrico when the dinner hour was in full swing. The place was packed, and I was advised that the wait was about twenty minutes long. So I waited in the beautiful lobby of the Hotel San Carlos just outside the bar. When a spot opened up, the staff came to fetch me, and I was seated outside on the patio. Many people were out and about, and the street scene was lively with chatter. I ordered the Tacos de Asada. I couldn't make up my mind whether I wanted corn or flour tortillas, so the server recommended two tacos of each. Great suggestion! The tacos arrived neatly arranged, two flour and two corn tortillas. It was love at first bite. I tried the flour tacos first. Smooth, refined, the flour tacos were delicious. Tasty, charred steak cuts, tender nopal slices, and creamy guacamole, all brought together by punchy onion and cilantro. The chipotle sauce was the smoky finish on top. The corn tacos were also a hit. Subtly earthy and robust, the corn tortillas were the coarser cousins of the flour tortillas. All the tacos were a delight to eat, and I was very pleased with my meal. I had a great experience at Centrico, from the attentive staff to the delicious food. I'm definitely coming back for more the next time I'm in town. read more

Delicious food! We stopped by when we were in downtown and the food was great! The Mexican rice had a very unique flavor to it which I liked. We got the queso fundido for an appetizer and it was amazing! It was a little pricey but it's downtown so not surprising. The chips and salsa are very cheap but they're not free. The service was fast and friendly. It's cool that it's in a historic hotel but the inside decor doesn't really pay homage to that, it looks like a typical Mexican restaurant. read more

Such a fantastic brunch. Dillon is a great bartender and host. I was stuck on the menu and he advised me well.. the place is clean and bright. Great vibes in the Heart or historic downtown.. real neighborhood vibe.. my omelette was fabulous.. and the chilaquiles and huevos rancheros were also delicious. Everything is very fresh--house made and flavorful.. great mimosas with Jamaica and watermelons and a beautiful Jamaica mezcal margarita that was so good I would come back just for that. read more

Came here with some friends on St. Patrick's day for dinner and a few drinks & we're so happy we did! Every staff member was super friendly and attentive. I believe we spoke to the manager or owner, who came over to check on us. We asked him for some more recommendations and had a lovely chat. The drinks and food were superb, great flavours and presentation. They have 3 different single-occupancy bathrooms, it was very clean and easily accessible. Would definitely visit again! read more

Went to dinner last night before the diamondbacks game. Added bonus there is a cheap parking garage above them and it's a short walk to stadium. Ok now to the drink. The mezcal paloma was great. Tajin rum as it should be without asking. The owner is from Oaxaca so their mezcal game is on point. Lastly the best part the food. We shared the pozole which I imagine myself eating for those hangover brunch weekends. Full of flavor and hominy was perfectly cooked. Then the birria enchiladas. Oh wow they were terrific. Tons of flavor and spice. We will add this to rotation especially for diamondbacks game days. read more

Such a cute spot . The people are really nice . The food is delicious and it's like you are eating at your grandmas house just felt very welcomed and very well attended . Our server was awesome . Highly recommend this place .. definitely 10/10 read more
