I visited this location for the first time with coworkers and I can truly say it won't be my last. This locally owned business GETS IT! The service was phenomenal and extremely prompt. The food was delicious to say the least. We shared the guacamole, salsa, and queso fundido. Though all were great, the fundido was an undisputed favorite. I ordered the birria enchiladas with a side of rice and beans. It should be noted that there was a perfect portion of meat in the enchiladas. I also tried a coworkers chilli verde which was cooked to perfection. We ended our meal by singing happy birthday and sharing the churros. I'm not a huge fan of pastries with filling but these were surprisingly good! Though the inside is cute and cozy, we were told that the restaurant will be moving to a larger location down the street in January 2026. What a neat little bar/restaurant tucked inside an old hotel. It was easy to find and the entrance is through the hotel, in case you're looking for a door on the outside. Birria was a standout followed by the shrimp tacos where the shrimp was cooked absolutely perfectly. I recommend the margaritas. Just any of them. They're wicked good and you won't be disappointed. Centrico does not take reservations but the host answering our call was super friendly and told us he could make it work by putting tables together if we were to arrive within 10 minutes, which we did! The restaurant itself is very small, located inside the historic San Carlos Hotel. The food was very authentic and served in a great, intimate atmosphere. My dining experience at Centrico was outstanding! I ordered the chicken enchiladas, but it turned out they were a bit too spicy for me. Our server, "Z," was so understanding and so gracious. We're in town for business again and wanted to check out some more restaurants in the area that we haven't been to and as luck would have it, we were in the mood for Mexican, so we decided to stop in. The restaurant is fairly small and is inside of the Hotel San Carlos. We went early (got there around 11:30) to beat the lunch rush, but it was already buzzing. Luckily, there were still a couple of available tables so we were seated right away. The service here is phenomenal. Everyone is so friendly and accommodating and our server took the time to answer the many questions we had about the menu. We were told the esquites were new on the menu so we wanted to give them a shot. We also ordered fish tacos. The esquites were super delicious - highly recommended. The fish tacos were good, but not amazing. They weren't super crispy, which of course can happen if cabbage and sauce sit on the fish for a prolonged period of time, so while not ideal, that was totally fine. I really did not like the red sauce they put on the fish tacos - it tasted of ketchup with some spices like cumin added to it. On the other hand, the table next to us ordered chicken enchiladas, which looked absolutely amazing (we are avoiding meat in our diet at the moment). Overall, a good experience and we'd definitely come back to try some of the other items on the menu. But don't skip the esquites and thank me later! read more

I found this restaurant the second day I was in Arizona and then I frequent it a few times. The staff was engaging and friendly and accommodating. The food was out of sight. Amazing. If you go during normal eating hours, you might have a weight because it's that good. I highly recommend a stop at this Mexican restaurant. Their bar is easily just as phenomenal. The food was delicious! The birria was very tender, the chips were warm and perfectly seasoned, and the sandia (watermelon) margarita... chef's kiss! Everything is prepared fresh, and you can taste it. My only qualm is the food isn't as spicy as SoCal Mexican food, but that's ok, it's still great. This is a small restaurant located within the front part of the hotel, with plenty of indoor/outdoor seating. It's a family run business and are they some of the nicest people we had the pleasure of speaking with while visiting Phoenix. This place is incredible. Their food reminds me of my childhood. Amazing Sonoran flavors that you can tell is made from scratch. We got the queso fundido which was rich and salty, it came with home made flour tortillas that were flavorful, soft and chewy. We also ordered the pozole which was one of the best I've ever had. My wife ordered the nuevos rancheros which were also incredible which a delicious light tomato sauce that she had to force herself to stop eating. Carne asada tacos were also ordered and were equally good with quality meat and the same home made tortillas. Service was excellent as well. Maria was our waitress and she was very nice and treated us like royalty. They just moved to a new location across the street from their old location and the decor of the new place is very nice. With big open windows and classy decorations. Overall this place is a grand slam. I highly recommend coming here you will not be disappointed! read more

The food was AMAZING. The chef even improvised the burrito to add chorizo for my colleague who was here from out of town and loves chorizo but can never get it where he is from. The frozen marg was potent and delicious and the ceviche was wonderfully seasoned and a large portion. But by far, ZOILA is the best server! Great new location just a few seconds from the original location. The new place is really nice. The charm of a small place is something I miss. Food is still delicious and there is a number of staff all over the place making sure everyone is taken care off. Be ready for the SUPER SUPER SUPER SUPER SUPER SUPER SUPER LOUD MUSIC. We visited Arizona over the weekend to catch a Dodgers spring training game. We came here for dinner, via my daughter's Arizona friend recommendation. The location is in a fun, downtown area. The restaurant is located at the lobby of a hotel. You enter the restaurant via the hotel, even though it's curbside. There wasn't a long wait, which was good. We were seated by the owner. He shared a few of his recommendations. The waiter quickly came quickly after to take our drink order. We ordered drinks & the queso fundido, shrimp empanadas, and chips & salsa - to my surprise they are not free. Soon after, we ordered dinner. Then finished up with sharing the churros for dessert. Our meals were all delicious! They have a full bar with a great selection of liquor. Music is played but not over bearing. They also have TVs. So because I absolutely love this place, I've been meaning to try their brunch menu and let me tell you, it did not disappoint! I was rushing to get there, their hours are from 12 to 2pm, got there around 1:15pm. The host greeted us and gave us a choice of seating indoor or outdoor. It was a beautiful sunny day so we opted to go outdoors. I ordered the chilaquiles with green sauce, added an egg (over-hard) and carne asada. My bf got "el Mexicano" which was eggs, beans, flour tortilla & some chorizo with potatoes. His dish was very tasty, the chorizo was a bit greasy BUT nonetheless flavorful. My dish was absolute perfection, the carne asada had this lime flavor as if it was marinated in something, omg to die for!!!!! It had some onions, queso fresco and crema. Not only was it super delish but it tasted authentic which a lot of Mexican places fail to do. I had a grapefruit jarrito and some chips and salsa as well. Guac and chips were excellent. We had their short rib birria tacos and carne asada burrito. Super fresh, tender meats, and presentation. Their burrito is huge and unless you are really hungry it can be split between two very easily. Another reason to split is to save room for the churros. We got the Birria Beef Enchiladas $17 for two, which is slow braised beef short rib, the Tacos de Asada $13 which comes in 4 street tacos, the guacamole $12, the salsa $3 and the cinnamon dusted churros. The guacamole was very good but it was very small portioned. The beef enchiladas was hearty and good. The tacos had a lot of great flavors. The cinnamon dusted churros were piping hot, filled with deliciousness and has a side of chocolate dipping sauce. They're going to ask if you want a side of rice and beans for $5. I suggest you pass because it comes in a small bowl and wasn't very good. We got drinks, the Sandia Marguerita which was muddled watermelon and fresh sours. It was very delicious and refreshing. We got it frozen for an extra two dollars $14. It came in a small glass but boy was it good. Overall, it's a high end, good quality Mexican Food restaurant.
