Well as we know nearly every Mexican food spot has enchiladas , rice and beans...but do they all taste good??? Well Centrico does it Fresh AND Tasty! And I've been to many of the restaurants on Central Phoenix and I'm happy to say...I'll be back!

It was pretty good. Service was fine. Food was pretty good. Ambiance was small and loudish. I enjoyed the Chicken Enchiladas that came with 2 sauces. 1 mole and 1 verde. I had a Margarita which was fine, except that I found a hair in my glass. Super gross! Minus 1 star for hair in my drink.

Went to lunch with some girlfriends of mine and had a delicious Mexican meal. There were 4 tacos, but I definitely got hungry before taking this picture. I added the side of beans to my tacos, I couldn't not have beans We also got the Queso Fundido to start and it was delicious! They had flour tortillas served with it which was actually a pleasant surprise rather than the normal corn tortilla chips. The service was quick and also let us have plenty of time to chit chat and drink our drinks. I highly recommend the prickly pear margarita! I am excited for the new location because this one is rather small. I will be back and experience the new location once they open!

Tip-of-the-hat to Yelp for another wonderful discovery! Céntrico, is located inside the historic San Carlos Hotel in Downtown Phoenix. Check out their online menu they are offering traditional Mexican fare but with a few surprises. The indoor dining area is cozy, but they do have a large outside patio area. They will only seat parties of 6 or fewer. Céntrico offers a specialty cocktail menu. I had to try the Jamaica Margarita. This was a perfect blend of tequila reposado, triple sec, simple syrup, hibiscus, and orange bitters. Plus one ordered the palomita, another beautiful concoction of tequila reposado, pink pample mousse, grapefruit juice, and sparkling wine. We started with chips and salsa. The salsa was chipotle-based with a touch of heat. We were told that their Guac was the best. It may not have been the best I've ever had, but it was in the top five. This portion is large and could be shared by 2-4 diners. Their menu is limited. We ordered the birria beef enchiladas and carne asada tacos. My enchiladas were stuffed with perfectly seasoned and moist beef. The tacos were perfectly cooked with a hint of spice. These are street tacos, so they were small but perfect for a two-bite delight! , Dis & Dat: Service was excellent and knowledgeable. Do wait to order your entrée if you are ordering Apps, as the food comes out fast. Do ask the host for a restroom key so you can check out the hotel lobby, chandelier, and a bit of the first floor of this historic hotel.

We had family in from out of town, and we went to an event downtown.. So we decided to walk down to Centrico, not sure what to expect... We walked in and were instantly greeted and seated for a part of 5 that is unusual to be seated so quickly! It's a cute little restaurant, they had the Book Of Life movie playing which I thought was a nice little touch to the nostalgia of the restaurant! The vibe was comfortable and cozy. We ordered chips, guac and salsa and that fresh Guac was absolutely amazing along side the fresh chips and salsa!! We actually ordered a second serving.. The red chili chicken enchiladas, beans and rice were some of the best we have had! Very tasty, with just enough spice! The pozole was amazing, for a very picky person my brother in law said it was amazing! My daughter got the red and green chili chicken enchiladas and loved them! The potato floutas were great and so was the hamburger and fries!! Michileladas were great.. So everything we had was GREAT AND WE WILL DEFINITELY BE GOING back!!! The only thing is they do not seat parties over 6 people.. A lost try in phoenix!

Great space, great service and great food! They are in new space at Monroe and 1st Ave.

Outside Centrico and the Hotel San Carlos

In the historic Hotel San Carlos is Centrico, a popular upscale bar spot offering a range of Mexican dishes and drinks. Eat at the bar, where the space is tight and the ambiance is cozy; or eat on the open patio, where you can enjoy your meal in the cool evening breezes. I came to Centrico when the dinner hour was in full swing. The place was packed, and I was advised that the wait was about twenty minutes long. So I waited in the beautiful lobby of the Hotel San Carlos just outside the bar. When a spot opened up, the staff came to fetch me, and I was seated outside on the patio. Many people were out and about, and the street scene was lively with chatter. I ordered the Tacos de Asada. I couldn't make up my mind whether I wanted corn or flour tortillas, so the server recommended two tacos of each. Great suggestion! The tacos arrived neatly arranged, two flour and two corn tortillas. It was love at first bite. I tried the flour tacos first. Smooth, refined, the flour tacos were delicious. Tasty, charred steak cuts, tender nopal slices, and creamy guacamole, all brought together by punchy onion and cilantro. The chipotle sauce was the smoky finish on top. The corn tacos were also a hit. Subtly earthy and robust, the corn tortillas were the coarser cousins of the flour tortillas. All the tacos were a delight to eat, and I was very pleased with my meal. I had a great experience at Centrico, from the attentive staff to the delicious food. I'm definitely coming back for more the next time I'm in town.

Delicious food! We stopped by when we were in downtown and the food was great! The Mexican rice had a very unique flavor to it which I liked. We got the queso fundido for an appetizer and it was amazing! It was a little pricey but it's downtown so not surprising. The chips and salsa are very cheap but they're not free. The service was fast and friendly. It's cool that it's in a historic hotel but the inside decor doesn't really pay homage to that, it looks like a typical Mexican restaurant.

Okay so the shrimp tacos?? SO good. Like the shrimp was cooked absolutely perfectly, which honestly is harder to pull off than people think. Every bite just hit right -- the tortilla, the toppings, all of it working together. I was not expecting to be this impressed but here we are. Do yourself a favor and just order them, trust me on this one!!

Such a fantastic brunch. Dillon is a great bartender and host. I was stuck on the menu and he advised me well.. the place is clean and bright. Great vibes in the Heart or historic downtown.. real neighborhood vibe.. my omelette was fabulous.. and the chilaquiles and huevos rancheros were also delicious. Everything is very fresh--house made and flavorful.. great mimosas with Jamaica and watermelons and a beautiful Jamaica mezcal margarita that was so good I would come back just for that.

    Cocktails on the patio

Wonderful service, one of the best cocktails I've ever had, great prices & ambiance, and delicious food! We were so happy to find the perfect spot and ended up visiting a second time on our 3-day trip downtown.

    Birria enchiladas
    Jesse J.

Went to dinner last night before the diamondbacks game. Added bonus there is a cheap parking garage above them and it's a short walk to stadium. Ok now to the drink. The mezcal paloma was great. Tajin rum as it should be without asking. The owner is from Oaxaca so their mezcal game is on point. Lastly the best part the food. We shared the pozole which I imagine myself eating for those hangover brunch weekends. Full of flavor and hominy was perfectly cooked. Then the birria enchiladas. Oh wow they were terrific. Tons of flavor and spice. We will add this to rotation especially for diamondbacks game days.

About 10 minutes after they started to take drink orders. I'm a lightweight so I didn't get anything but my husband got the chilte collab drink. It tasted a lot like tomato and was super unique. The tuna tostada was great alongside the pepper on the side. We then got mole which was the star of the show. The mole was so unique and spicy, I'd never had a mole like that before. We walked by the check-in area, and our tickets were checked. The stewardesses then gave us a pair of wings. This flight was to Tokyo and the travel warning mentioned kaiju activities. Glancing into the seating area it was shaped like a luxury plane with windows and ample space to move around. At the back of the plane were seats wrapping around and the cabin was very beautifully decorated. Towards the front of the aircraft, there was a beautiful bar. The photos in the advertisements are not photoshopped the place is amazing. The stewardesses escorted us to our seats and they were very comfortable. Depending on group size you either get a small table for two or for 4. This reminded us of the movie Soul Plane lol. Kiki and Madie were our stewardesses on the flight and started us with a complimentary drink and some peanuts. Keep an eye out the windows because you will see strange things like we spotted King Kong and then while in flight we saw Ghidorah fly by and I think I got a glimpse of Mothra, but was not sure. Kiki and Madie were amazing they kept the drinks flowing and we watched the captain make drinks because he was also the bartender. We then ran into turbulence and into a storm and spotted Godzilla, Mechagodzilla, and Ghidorah amidst the dark clouds and lightning. Then at this time the martini carts came around serving handcrafted martinis at your table side. After we got out of the dark clouds there was a tasty cookie and more drinks. The service was amazing. Kiki and Madie were Rockstars and were very efficient at their jobs. They provided light conversation and were knowledgeable about the menu and gave great recommendations.
