Every time I come here I am amazed by the delicious food, great service and beautiful ambience. The dishes aren't just beautifully decorated, they taste amazing as well. Never disappointed!

I'm very excited to have this new restaurant in our neighborhood! Their first restaurant, Casa Corazon, catered my friend's wedding. It's great that their opening one so close to my home. The happy hour deal of $6 margaritas is unbeatable- and they're good too! The guacamole, elote, and queso were great too. They were able to make the queso with no meat as well to accommodate my dietary restrictions. Service was friendly and quick. I'll definitely be back, and I hope the quality and happy hour deals continue!

Excellent chunky salsa with complex and well blended flavor

Had an excellent lunch of pollo al pastor and carnitas tacos, which came with beans, steamed rice and an excellent green sauce. It was nice to have al pastor with chicken instead of the usual pork and these were very nicely spiced. The carnitas were also excellent. The chips and salsa are excellent, complex and well blended chunky salsa. I have been to this restaurant once before when it was called Cien Fuegos and nothing has changed, still great food, unique menu and nice atmosphere and service.

Sample of the pork green chile.

I met the owner Ulysis and he was so friendly and accommodating. I went there to see the space for my mom's celebration of life. I wanted to try the rice and beans and the red chile cheese enchiladas. They were so good. Then I asked for a sample of the green chile. This green chile was so amazing. My favorite so far! Then I tried the churros and was literally blown away! 100% the best dessert ever. I highly recommend going to Casa 16. I am going to bring my family and friends for the full experience! I can't wait! Lisa Esparza

We stopped in on a whim and were very pleasantly surprised. The hostess Karen greeted us with a beautiful smile. Even though we were in a hurry and we couldn't fully enjoy the atmosphere. The food was amazing. I'll post the pics. We had enchiladas suizas and Jamaica to drink. I highly recommend this place. You won't be disappointed. It also has a full bar in case you're interested.

What a Wonderful Visit! The service was great, and the food was amazeballs! Every dish was bursting with flavor, and the staff made us feel right at home. The atmosphere was cozy yet elegant -- perfect for a relaxing evening. I can't wait to go back and try more of their menu. Highly recommend Casa 16 to anyone looking for great food and genuine hospitality!

New Place! Just opened! Food was really good, service was great! amazing little place with a family vibe! I had the enchiladas with Pumpkin sauce...mmmmmmm delicious- Modelo Negro on tap and Mango Margarita's! Very clean and can't wait to use the outdoor patio when it cools down! I recommend and we will be back

Had brunch at Casa16 today. What a wonderful little spot that I highly recommend checking out. It was not busy at noon today ( Super Bowl Sunday ) - we were greeted immediately & promptly seated. Menus , water, fresh chips & salsa delivered with a smile and offer to help with selections. We had a horchata latte, hot mocha with divine marshmallow topping, a breakfast burrito and huevos divorciados. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals and will plan on returning! The atmosphere is warm & inviting. Also noteworthy is plentiful parking with an attractive painted mural lining the lot.

Amazing new restaurant. This one hasn't been discovered yet so was not busy. Salsa served with chips was outstanding with complex flavors and just enough of a kick. I had fish of the day which turned out to be halibut today. Very nice fish dish with a cream sauce with shrimp and scallops and roasted strips of chiles. Very generous portions. Flan was also first rate. Nice dense texture with tasty caramel sauce.

Service was fabulous. Restaurant was nice and clean. The food was just ok. Everything lacked salt. My favorite item was the crispy taco. The chili en nogada was pretty sweet.

The Papas Verde had an addicting tang from the tomatillo salsa but were brilliantly balanced out by the chorizo and asadero cheese. The shaved brussel salad could have used a little more date and chile to balance out the vinegar but I was pleased either way. The elote was probably the only thing that fell short execution-wise as I didn't get much of the chorizo flavor, but the cook on the corn itself was perfect. The Gambas al Ajillo are absolutely a must-get. Juicy, sweet shrimp with an unexpected kick from the butter sauce and unsurprisingly great bread from Noble. The Tlayuda was a little heavy on the lettuce, but the smoked pork and bean puree combo were so flavorful that it helped balance out the richness with texture and freshness. I also loved the crispy contrast from the fried tortilla. We ended with the Concha and Mango Sticky Rice ice cream which sounded pretty simple but was quite impressive in its own right. The ice cream was a touch too frozen, but it ended up working out well with the crunchy cornflake coating and lightly warmed, pillowy concha to make a really satisfying ending to our meal. Service was excellent and the patio was well-lit and had heaters ready for colder weather. Vecina is on the pricier side for sure, but you will not be disappointed.

We ordered a bottle of wine and went to town on: White Bean Puree * Crispy Short Rib | Herb Salad | Flour Tortilla: Karaage * Aji Amarillo | Citrus Gastrique | Togarashi | Lime Elote * Chorizo Butter | Lime Creme Fraiche | Toasted Chiles Romaine * Buttermilk Dressing | Mexican Sriracha | Parmesan | Noble Bread Breadcrumbs Gambas al Ajillo * Wild Shrimp Co. Mexican Shrimp | Paprika Garlic Butter | Serrano Cruda | Garlic Noble Bread - this was the only dish that was not my favorite. SUPER flavorful but I wanted a more.. 'traditional' tapas Gambas al Ajillo flavor aka less paprika please. Saudero tacos (a brisket confit suadero tacos with a chile jam, aguacate, serrano cruda, toasted sesame, fresnos and micro cilantro) We sat on the patio for a wonderful AZ spring evening. The service was great. I also enjoyed their extensive tequila and mezcal menu. The only downside is the parking -- it's pretty small and shared with Lou Malnati's next door!

There is a reason Cocina Madrigal was voted Yelp's #1 restaurant in 2022…read more The restaurant itself is currently under renovation, so service is happening out of their food truck for now. Because of that we cannot really speak to the usual interior or ambiance. We did sit on the patio during our visit though, and it ended up being perfect. The weather was beautiful and it made for a really great outdoor dining moment. We were greeted quickly when we arrived and were told we could sit either inside or outside. Service throughout the meal was friendly, attentive, helpful, and the team kept things running smoothly even with the temporary setup. But the food is where this place really shines. We started with Guacamole de Casa, which comes with chips and salsa. Fresh, bright, and a great way to start off the meal. For our mains we ordered Beef Tenderloin Steak Tacos with pomegranate marinade, chipotle aioli, fried peppers and onions, and gorgonzola cheese. These tacos were incredible. The flavors were layered and bold and honestly I am drooling a little just typing this out. We also tried the Barbacoa Green Chile Enchiladas made with slow roasted beef and New Mexican Hatch green chile sauce. Rich, savory, and packed with flavor. To drink we had agua frescas, jamaica and piña, which were both refreshing and perfect alongside the food. Dessert absolutely delivered, too! The churros are dusted with cinnamon sugar, filled with cream, and come with a sweet glaze for dipping. So good! Our server also let us know about a coconut cream pie that was not listed on the menu and we are glad that he did. It was one of the best coconut cream pies I have had, topped with toasted coconut shavings and full of coconuty deliciousness. It is the little details and thoughtful flavor combinations that this place really nails. If you are looking for one Mexican restaurant to take visiting friends or family, or you just want a truly memorable meal, this is an easy pick. With so many awards and accolades, it is very easy to see why this place gets so much love.

The restaurant is a very good size with lots of room and tables available. The decor is that of PR culture which is very colorful and bright. For our "platos principals" (main entrees) I had the pechuga de pollo (chicken breast with grilled onions) with mofongo as my side (also comes with a side salad). It was very tasty and not dry at all. BFF had the pernil (pulled pork) with arroz con gandules (rice with pigeon peas) as his side which also came with a side salad. For dessert we shared the tembleque which is a coconut pudding but not in the traditional sense of pudding (more like a jelly texture). BFF also ordered coquito (holiday rum drink) & apparently our server (Sophia) omitted the rum so the owner came by and offered a fresh glass. Speaking of, everything was wonderful except that Sophia seemed to have a bit of a poor attitude as she wasn't too friendly. I'd like to give her the benefit of the doubt as perhaps she wasn't feeling well but out of the corner of my eye she had this almost "eyeroll" look. Perhaps she just didn't want to be there (she was friendly upon us leaving and thanked us). Anyway, I highly recommend this establishment. Both food and ambience was great and the service was too.
