    Miso glazed salmon bowl

We went to Lure on Mother's Day and enjoyed crab cakes, clam chowder and miso glazed salmon. The food was good. The crab cakes were excellent. Our service was good. I don't love when the server tried to talk my son into ordering dessert. Also, the server hovered while we were paying. This is very awkward. I wish the machines weren't used that have people come to the table with the credit card machine. The restaurant itself is welcoming and has great decor.

Lure Fish House has some of the best quality fish in Scottsdale, Arizona. From the moment you walk in, it feels like you're at the ocean, with its modern but beachy-chic restaurant. The selection of oysters was small but great. Blue Points are some of my favorite and always a must order. My salad was so big. Definitely order the half portion because it was perfect. Sadly, they were out of sweet potato fries and crab ceviche starter, however, the swordfish, brussel sprouts and butternut squash were delicious. The wine selection was amazing and the French fries and Sauvignon blanc were the perfect pair to start my meal. As an East Coaster, it can be hard to find seafood in other parts of the country, especially Arizona. Lure raises the bar and sets the expectations high! Make sure to make a reservation and request booth, so you can be comfortable and cozy when enjoying your incredible meal!

Little late for my review! Visited Scottsdale to help my son move in. Wanted some seafood and had tried the Lure in SLO before. We both got variations on the halibut, and all were excellent... started with oysters, clams, and clam chowder. The chowder was fantastic- creamy but not crazy rich, lots of clams. The miso glazed halibut and butter, garlic, lemon and capers were really good. Service was friendly and efficient. Others in our party were equally happy with their meals. It was a very nice dinner!

My boyfriend and I stopped in for a quick lunch while vacationing in Scottsdale and were blown away. The restaurant is beautiful, very clean, with nautical but elegant decor. The oyster bar is stunning. A great place to sit for some oysters and drinks especially during their happy hour. The happy hour is an awesome deal. They have $10 cocktails, I recommend the Lure Martini which is made with fresh grapefruit juice. They also offer some happy hour bites including oysters and their $3 cup of clam chowder which you HAVE to try! The chowder is wonderfully comforting, chunky, and flavorful. I'm glad we stumbled upon this gem. The servers were very friendly extremely helpful when it came to selecting the right oysters. Come to Jersey, Lure Fish House, I'll be your very first guest! Thank you!

Lure provides a beautiful atmosphere and quick service for an evening out. Food was good and cooked well, but nothing was a "wow" moment in terms of food Food reviews: Crab cakes--nice crispy crust with a herbaceous filling. Crab flavor got lost a bit, but corn and greens provided a refreshing, balancing bite Grilled Rockfish--cooked well, but missing flavor. Corn salad added to the fish when I combined it on top (I was surprised it was a cold salad!). Sautéed spinach was good and garlicky Sand dabs--my husband enjoyed and said it was very refreshing, almost like chicken piccata. Potato cake reminded me of mashed potatoes and was not crispy in texture like you'd expect from exterior. Cilantro rice was cooked well and had good flavor on its own.

Excellent, but I like a little extra dressing!

Whoever says you can't get good seafood in the desert has not tried Lure Fish House! Not only is their seafood fantastic, but I'd argue it's reasonably priced for the quality. The service was the best service I've had in months! Our waitress came at just the right intervals, had a wonderful personality and made sure we were taken care of. The seating inside is incredibly comfy and they have tons of booths to go around. Decor is modern, everything is clean and high end feeling. The waitress informed me that the kitchen had recently moved away from all seed oils - which for me is a huge bonus. I'd argue combined with the above mentioned attributes, I definitely plan to return in the near future! We shared the appetizer mussels, which were delicious. The real standout out were the charbroiled oysters. They're not incredibly huge, but their flavor more than makes up for it! I ordered the chef's salad which was very good. I think the only place for improvement would be a little extra dressing (I'll definitely ask for extra next time). The creamy clam chowder was perfect in every way and very filling. I definitely could not finish everything, especially after diving into the complimentary whipped butter and warm bread! Desserts looked delicious at the table next to us, but I had zero room left - maybe next time.

This place was one of the highlights of my trip. We stopped in around 345 for their happy hour in the bar. The red sangria blew me away! It was a great mix with yummy fruit juice and red wine. We opted for charbroiled oysters, The biscuits, some fresh shucked oysters, and ultimately the crab cakes. First the bad, which is pretty obviously the biscuits. They came to us burnt, and it really took a while for us to flag down at the bartender to let them know we didn't want them. They brought them up the second time and they were burnt again. We did swap to the crabcakes which were amazing in flavor! One of the best I've had and clearly didn't make it to the photo because we ate them so quickly! The fresh oysters were yummy, but I do think the mignonette that was served with them could be made a lot better. It needed a touch more vinegar because it had a flat taste. The charbroiled oysters were delicious! I do prefer a thinner Parmesan on top of mine rather than the large cheese pieces but nevertheless it was great! I do wish we would've got bread and butter like the tables around us but we end up, asking for some and received it. We had a great time catching up for the holidays and the restaurant wasn't too busy so it was perfect. I would definitely come back whenever I'm in town.

Beautiful restaurant and an amazing meal!! Delicious seafood dishes!! Always perfectly cooked!! Great portions, whether it be appetizers, sides or main dishes. Something for everyone!! Great knowledgeable staff, lots of great seating inside and out!! A perfect place to bring out of town guests or a night to hang in the large bar area with a great drink and some oysters!!!

    Just amazing

Truly one of the best upper scale seafood restaurants in Scottsdale. The expression is you get what you pay for but at Lure's you'll get more than you expected. Menu variety was tremendous Quality of the food was perfect Taste of food was " off the hook". Helena was the perfect server for our crew - 7 of us. Seafood Tower was a show stopper. Perfect 5

    Incredible crab cakes!

My wife and I visited here for the first time today to celebrate her birthday. Everything we ordered was terrific with a couple of real standouts: the crab cakes were prepared and presented beautifully, served on a bed of citrusy micro-greens dotted with bits of crispy jimica and accompanied by a very tasty remoulade; and pan roasted Venus clams served in a rich garlic, butter and white wine sauce accompanied with a big piece of roasted garlic and Parmesan crusty bread. Judging by the quality and presentation of the dishes we tried it's clear the kitchen takes real pride in the food they serve! The restaurant itself is gorgeous inside and has a nice patio and a cool bar area. We enjoyed the ambiance as much as the food and our server, Layla, was fantastic, being both super efficient and extremely personable. All in all a very pleasant dining experience and we're looking forward to visiting again soon.

    Charbroiled Oysters. A MUST
    Naomi S.

Everything here is amazing, I've gone here several times and each time it hits. When you come here you HAVE to get the charbroiled oysters they are 12/10, a MUST. I'm also a big pasta girly so I usually get their tequila lime pasta which is so good. Their clam pasta is also really good, it's a white wine based sauce pasta. You can also get the cioppino with linguine. I knew some former servers there and they say everything else they have is way better than the pasta, and that's true. Their spicy salmon burger is amazing, a nice thick cut of salmon with a great sauce. The ahi tuna is also really good and of course their appetizers like the crab cakes and tacos are super good. I recommend coming during happy hour for the appetizers, you just get a much better deal. Their drinks are also amazing so don't miss out on those. They have indoor and outdoor seating, and even a big private room for larger parties. This place is always poppin when I go (weekends or evenings). All the seating is nice, clean and up to standard. Inside is beach/harbor themed, a very cute vibe executed in a classy fashion. All the staff are always super nice and friendly, and I've never had to wait long for my food. I love going here for a nice fancy date. Love this place!

Fast service, upscale fine dining experience for any seafood lover! I tried the Branzino special and was not disappointed. I also had their King of the North and Blue Point oysters - both very delicious, the King of the North had a sweeter flavor I enjoyed. I also highly recommend their maple glazed butternut squash and miso glazed Brussels sprouts.

I chose three to start-don't be fooled and think they serve small dishes. Just the opposite!

This review is for the totality of the experience…read more I made an advance reservation at Alma Scottsdale for a mid-sized group of 7 to celebrate a special occasion. Our party arrived right on time for our reservation, but we were not seated until 15 min later because our table was not ready. It took about an additional 15 min to get tap water for the table (there was not enough provided anyways), and to place our orders too another ~20 min. The food did not arrive until 30 min later. For context, we eventually learned that the restaurant was short staffed and the bartender was also operating as our waiter. When the food finally arrived, there was a mix-up on what was delivered. We had checked with the staff who delivered one of the dishes: we ordered the "wild mushroom" side, but what we received did not look quite like it. We asked clarifying questions x2, but were assured, "no, it is the wild mushroom." Turned out, it was the mushroom empanada that was delivered to our table, which we originally did not order. The management did rectify the situation upon the conclusion of the event when we were paying the bill, but to us, it felt a bit accusatory as if we intentionally wanted to cause a huge fuss about the final total, which was absolutely not the case. The food in general was delicious. If this was a more standard dining experience, it would have been 4-5 stars just for the food. The service was very subpar, and really colored the entire experience negatively, therefore the two star review. I understand that staffing shortages happen -- fine. My family has worked in food service as wait staff for 25+ YEARS, so I am empathetic. But for management to ring up our bill and then come confront us in an inflammatory manner, making us feel like we were wrong, on an occasion to celebrate something special, was extremely disappointing.

The whole night, they never mentioned the special occasion that was on the reservation. They also ignored my seating request, never communicating beforehand that it might not be possible and refusing to honor it when I had to point it out. It took almost 20 minutes for a server to show up. In the meantime, the bussers stopped at my table four times to say our server would be here shortly. By the last time it had just become comic relief for these bored and thirsty diners. Our entrees took a long time, and our server and again those poor bussers stopped by at least another four times to apologize and say the food would be here soon. The long-awaited entrees arrived. You would think we'd be extra hungry and devour them, but they didn't taste good. This restaurant, that has a special section on their menu saying they pride themselves on their pasta, had delivered mushy rigatoni with bland sauce that tasted nothing like the menu description. The other pasta dishes were also somehow just as flavorless. I suspect something happened in the kitchen that night, because I can't imagine any self respecting chef deliberately putting out poorly executed dishes like that. All our plates went back half eaten. I was embarrassed to be hosting this disappointing dinner. Our server and the bussers were apologetic when we pointed out the above issues, so it was clear that our table was having a terrible experience. You might expect that a manager would stop by to talk at some point but surprisingly that never happened. The final blow was when they did me the "favor" of validating parking which reduced the parking fee from $20 to $10. Really? I'm paying several hundred dollars to eat at your restaurant and you nickle and dime me for $10 of parking? So La Zozzona isn't friendly to locals; neither from a culinary nor transportation standpoint. There are so many good fine dining restaurants around here. La Zozzona isn't one of them.

The only downside was that the bread slices were cut a little too thick, making them slightly cumbersome to eat. My partner ordered the chicken potstickers, which were decent, though they reminded us more of mini empanadas than traditional potstickers. For my entrée, I had the steak frites, and this dish was excellent. The steak was tender with a beautiful charred crust, and the fries were perfectly seasoned. My partner ordered the spicy vodka pasta, which was a huge portion and something he thoroughly enjoyed. Dessert was a tale of two very different experiences. Unfortunately, my Black Forest toffee pudding cake missed the mark for me, since it was overwhelmingly bitter and not enjoyable. HOWEVER, my partner's praline butter crunch cake absolutely stole the show. Think warm butter cake drenched in a gooey hazelnut toffee caramel sauce, topped with silky vanilla ice cream and crunchy pralines. Seriously unforgettable. Overall, Society Swan delivered a memorable dining experience with standout cocktails, excellent service, and some truly delicious dishes. I'd gladly return to try more menu items, and especially for that praline crunch cake alone. Huge thanks to AZ Restaurant Week for introducing us to a new favorite spot at such a steal of a deal!
